Back dated invoice

Dear All,
I wnt to do Back dated invoice for a sales order, but SAP is taking only the current date even i change the billing date, doc date, tranportationdate, and goods movement date, help me out
Regards
ramesh

Dear,
Can you please confirm:
If Order-to-Bill, then T. Code: VTFA and If, Delivery-Billing, then T. Code: VTFL
Select your Control Combination (I.e. say, Target: F2; Source: OR) and Click: Item (Left-hand side).
In next page, select your Item Category (say, TAN) and double click.
here, In Field: Data VBRK/VBRP
what is the routine?
and If, Delivery-Billing, then T. Code: VTFL and check the entry in Field: Data VBRK/VBRP, as explained above.
If the routine type is 11; system will only consider the date on which the billing is created. It can neither be back-dated nor post-dated.
Best Regards,
Amit.

  • APP Run for back dated invoice

In APP- Suppose I run APP on 05.07.07 with Identification Test1. All my vendors till date 05.07.07 are cleared. Now after running APP i pass a vendor invoice (F-43) with back dated posting date say 30.04.07. Now after this again i want to run APP for this vendor item. so i run APP on same date with identification Test2. but it gives me error " No data exists for the Co.code XXX". But if i run APP next day it runs well? why this happens. why it odes not consider the later invoice on that same day? is there any specific logic or reasoning behind this? I just want to understand this.
    Thank You

    Hi,
Check the  Posting Date of the next Payment Run of the previous run i.e Test1

  • Back Dated Invoice History

    Dear All,
One of our customer is into product manufacturing and providing AMC, the requirement s is to maintain Cusotmer history like on which date , which year , which model , who is the customer, what is the discount , invoice is genrated. Right now they are mainting in XL sheets.
Now this kind of report we can get from system but only after goin live but will not get report for the years 2005, 2006, 2007,
for this year we need to upload  A/R invoices, as we have never work on this .
Pls do suggest us the procedure which can be follow to achieve this result.

    Hi Satish
I would not suggest importing historic Sales Invoices as there are a few things that WILL go wrong. The first is that the system does not allow you to manipulate the cost of sales (item cost) when importing either through DTW or DI API. With other words, cost will be based on the current moving average or FIFO. If you are using standard cost, then it will still be a problem, as you would need to adjust the standard cost as it was historically changed. With other words, to successfully import history, you must import all transactions for purchasing, stock and sales that impacted on inventory in sequence as they occurred historically, and even then SAP Business One may not calculate the cost the same as the previous system.
The alternative is to set the system to release without cost, but this is also not recommended. I would think twice before attempting this (and I have done this before successfully for a customer - talking from experience) as it could add a few months to the project time line. Of course this is also linked to transactional volume. If the volumes were not too large, it could be easier to replicate the old system and achieve the results.
If you could give me some more details on the number of sales invoices over the period, etc. I could advise you better.
    Kind regards

  • Back dated Evaluated Receipt Settlement.

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to post invoices by Evaluated Receipt Settlement.
I have made all the necessary settings for Evaluated Receipt Settlement and they are giving  as desired.
But when I am trying posting invoices of last month (last month is   open for posting) the date is picked by the system is todays date
can anybody suggest that how Evaluated Receipt Settlement will pick up the GR date for  invoice date and posting date. so  i will be able to post back dated  invoices as per GR date through Evaluated Receipt Settlement (MRRL).
    regards,
      Vimlesh

    Hi
Using Standard Configuration you may not be able to fulfil your requiremnt.
Please use the Business Add In  - MRM_ERS_HDAT_MODIFY
You can use it to change various document header data in vendor invoices in the automatic settlement of planned delivery costs (ERS).
The following data is made available to the Business Add-In:
    I_RBKPV (Document header)
TI_ERS_DC (Delivery costs to be settled)
The Business Add-In returns the following data:
E_RBKPV_IS_CHANGE (Document header fields that can be changed)
E_CHANGE (Must be set to 'X' for the changes to be adopted)
you will need an ABAPEr to Implement a BADi.
This BAdi is invoked when you call the Trnasaction MRRL.
Your logic of determining the Posting date & the Document date needs to be logically added to the new implmentation of the BADi.
Business add In's are used similar to user exits or enhancements.
Please get in touch with your ABAPEr.

  • Depot Excise invoice ---back dated

    Hi gurus,
we are generating depot excise invoice based on delivery, i want back dated excise invoice date.  like delivery date i have changed by manually.... but excise date is showing system as on date.  is there any option to change excise date manually... when we are creating depot excise invoice....
    Please advise.....
    Thanks in Advance..
    Ravi

    Hi,
SAP 99.9 % will never skip the number range on its own.
    As per my understanding:
1.Some one has manually deleted the Depot Excise Invoice number after creation (due to the user mistake at selecting the
appropriate Incoming Excise invoice, Price , material or etc reason. And while creating the New Depot excise Invoice Number
he forget to adjust the number range at object 'J_1IDEPINV' for corresponding Series Group. This u can confirm by checking
the entry at Item level, instead of Header at it will not show that entry.
2.May be due to the Depot Sales Returns for respective Depot Invoice canceled and Deleted by the user.
Here, deleting the excise Invoice is not Valid practice as per Excise Tax rules of GOI.
    3. Kindly check, whether Number Range Changes happend for respective Series Group between the Fiscal Year 2010-11.
Please feel free to correct me and It will be a value addition if you find any other solution.
    Thank You,
    RB

  • How to enter a back dated entry in purchage?

    Hello all
i want to do a back date entry in apps please tell me how to do it?
    Thanks
    yash

    Your question is not clear.
I assume you want to do a back-dated transaction in purchasing.
    1) If you want to create a PO with a need by date or promised date in the past, simply update the po line or po shipment.
    2) If you want to create a receipt in the past, change the Receipt Date when performing the transaction. By default, it is set to sysdate. Keep in mind that the fiscal period must be open for you to perform a back-dated receipt.
You cannot make a past-dated approval to the PO. Any approval activity will take sysdate.
    Hope this answers your question,

  • Back Dated AR Aging Detail - How to see Documents with Open Balances Only?

    Dear All,
Our customer is trying to submit a back dated AR Aging Detail report to their bank. When they run the report as of 09/30/08, the detailed aging report is 28 pages long and has all the partial payment details which the bank does not need; rendering the report useless.
We would like to find out if there is a way to run a back dated AR Aging Detail report and only see Document Number, Date and Open Balance.

    Hi,
Please check Note No. [800294|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=800294] which describes about settings required to run the backdated aging report in 2005 version.
If you are working with 2007 version, then you need to check the tickbox "Display customer with zero balance" and run the backdated aging report to get the correct results with the open figure (which will match with the AR receivables Account balance as at that date).
However, if your 2007 version is below patch level 38, you can refer to Note No. [1178854|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1odSZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=1178854] which can be of help in that case.
    Hope the information was helpful.

    Hi Rahul Kharat,
I am sorry to tell you that this is impossible. There's trs MMPI to open a certain period, but it should never be used in the production environment. Check e.g. the note  [487381|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/487381].

  • Future Dated Invoices and Payments

    Hello
Can you give me some inputs about Future Dated Invoices and Payments..?
    What its importance?
What would the effect on the AP Trial Balance and Account Analysis if I use it?
    Thanks
    Grace

    Hi Grace
Future dated payments are the post dated cheques (in layman's language). For example - When we take some office space on rent, we need to pay monthly rent for it. Generally, the owner of the office would like to have the cheques provided to him on the date of agreement dated for the respective month (as a matter of security). These cheques will bear the date for the respective months. Lets say you enter into an agreement on 01-May-2010 for one year, you will provide 12 checks dated 01-May-2010, 01-Jun-2010, 01-Jul-2010 etc. All these checks would be post dated payments.
These payments do not reduce the cash/bank balances as on the date of issue. This happens on the date of maturity of payment (check date). These payments are entered into the oracle system by using the payment method "Bills Payable" or any similar payment methods.
The accounting for these payments (at the time of recording the payment) - Supplier Liability Dr. and Future Dated Payment Liability credit. It will not have much impact on the trial balance except for the fact that the liability code combination would change -- from supplier liability to future dated liability. On the date of maturity, when you run the report to matrue the bills payable, the status of the payment changes to negotiable and then the accounting takes place - Future Dated liability dr... and cash/cash clearing credit.
Hope this explains. Let me know if you have any further question or ned any further clarity

  • Cash journal Back dated entry it' s allowed to 300.00 only.

    Dear Experts,
When i try to post cash journal Back dated entry it' s allowed to 300.00 only. for example I want to post one expenses in 6th month 1200.00. But 6th month closing balance is 16675.00. then also it's shown error Payment amount is larger than cash on hand. Change amount. and i try to post 300.00 it's accepted.
this problem is not even 6th month all Backdated entry
    Please suggest me..
    Regards,
    Krishna.v

    Dear Krishna.v,
The error message mentioned by you i.e. Payment amount is larger than cash on hand which is message number F5A055 is to make sure the balance for cash jounal is always positive.
There is no restriction of 300.00 etc..Ofcouse there is a restriction to ensure that CJ balance is positive.
The system behaviour is explained in detail in note 430397. So as explained in the note, the system checks the new daily closing balance resulting from the reversal transaction for all days following the posting date up to the current system date.
It is not therefore sufficient to have a sufficiently large closing balance at the posting date, but the balance must be sufficient for this payment or reversal of the receipt on all following days.
Therefore, you must check the closing balance on all days following the posting date up to the current system date and take existing cash receipts into account if required.
In the cases like, when a document is saved, the actual document is generated and stored in the cash journal tables TCJ_DOCUMENTS and TCJ_POSITIONS. So the BALANCE of the cash journal is updated.
Therefore even a document which is not posted but saved is also considered in the balance of cash journal.
I will try to explain you what does the note refer to with an example
Imagine you have the following situation:
Initial Cash Journal Amount 01.01.2011   100,00 USD
       Customer payment              02.01.2011  +200,00 USD
Balance at                           02.01.2011   300,00 USD  ok
       Vendor payment                 03.01.2011  -150,00 USD
Balance at                           03.01.2011   150,00 USD  ok
       Incoming payment               04.01.2011  +500,00 USD
Balance at                           04.01.2011   650,00 USD  ok
This is ok, but if for example, the user needs to reverse the customer payment made on 02.01.2009. As you can see, the balance at 02.01.2011 is 300,00 USD so from the user point of view, the document can be reversed without any problem. However, system will give you the error message F5A212. Why? Because if you reverse the document on 02.01.2011 the final balance at 03.01.2011 will return -50,00 USD and this is not correct.
    This is explained:
"Check the closing balance on all days following the posting date up to the current system date and take existing check receipts into account if required."
Hope this example helps you to understand the system behaviour.
After implementing the note 1051847, if the system generates error message, it now specifies the date on which the negative balance would arise which would help you to take necessary actions based on that.
    Best Regards
    Soumya

  • How to Block Viewing Back Dated Data

    Dear All,
Please help in the following scenario :
Requirement : To Block Viewing of Back Dated Data.
For Eg : from 2012-2013 we have had data, but management wanted from 2014 April 1st
on wards viewing of data for 2012-2013 year should be blocked except for management
and not for employees or middle level guys.
Suppose if we open FBL3N, this tcode should only allow viewing of 2014 April 1st onward data
and not back dated. I mean to say not only for tcode FBL3N but across all tcodes.
I was thinking of validation @ company code level and date range, but not getting how to proceed.
    Abstract Logic :
if company code = '1000' and Date <= '31-3-2013' , do not display data for any tcode and throw error msg "your are not authorized to view data"
Your help will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Mahesh

    Hi,
    You can do following :
    1. Go to transaction code FBL1N
    Enter Company code
Enter Date you want to restrict
    2.  Click on Save
    3. Next Screen
Select Protect field option for posting date
    4. Click n Save
    5. FBL1N Screen
    h
You can see that Posting date  has became non editable.
    6. Use function module RS_ABAPVARIANT_AUTH. and pass Variant name and User ID.
We hope your problem will get resolved by this methodology.

  • I am trying to locate an apps,,to look at back dated episodes of young and restless.

I am looking for an apps to look at back dated episodes of young and restless on my iPad 2 .

That would be CBS. From what I can tell, the only place they offer episodes of The Young and the Restless is on their web site, and then only for about the last month or so.
Those videos they do offer require Flash which can only be played on an iPad via one of the app/service combos such as Skyfire or Puffin. CBS doesn't offer their own app that I can find.
