M Fed up of dis phone.!!only 1yr n 4m has gone,n its bothering me continuesly..

Diff kind of bugs came, "your settings has been stopped" "your contacts has been stopped" n diff bugs for all apps..
I contacted cust. Cre,n did software repait 2 Times,now s diff m weird problm has started
Back,home,n d 3rd button and d slide down menu vanishes automatically.. It doesnt come back..!!I have to restart my phone 2-3 Times,n den after also same problm,within 30-40 min. Of usage,it starts again..m Fed of dis...sonyz brand!!
.please advice me..

The problem could be that this phone has only 1GB of RAM, apps are getting heavier and heavier, Android will free up some needed RAM by closing certain apps and/or services, that could be the issue here.

How do I get the Back Button drop down menu back?

When surfing in a tab there used to be a drop down menu next to the forward and back buttons. It was a little tiny triangle looking arrow. This was really useful and needed. It is gone in Firefox 4 as far as I can see. I am using the default 4.0 Theme. If it is not there anymore I will have to go going back to 3.16 if the drop down menu is gone. Thanks for any help.

I do prefer Right-click on tab for tab history, or hold a couple of seconds, as the drop-down marker takes up space and had been removing it myself. Although I think it should have been an option.

Slide down menu/quick setting menu crashing

My Quick setting slide down menu thing at the top keeps crashing. It appears over the top of other things I'm doing on the phoneand stops me pressing anything near the top of the screen it kind of half slides down and shoots back up it won't stay down to even press clear notifications, even the back button won't function when its playing up.
Sometimes it goes nuts and flashes on and off turning the sound & wifi on and off.
It locks the whole phone up and won't let me turn it off and on with out restarting.
Is there any way to get rid of this slide down menu or solve the problem?

My Z1 sometimes does this and I've tested with and without screen protectors - My theory is that it does this when the screen is full of finger marks/smudges and for some reason it must be registering these marks as touches - If I keep my screen clean it doesn't happen

Slide down menu not sliding up

I created a slide down menu and for the most part it works when you click on each link, but for some reason, it hangs if you have one link expanded and you click on another link:

I used an old .fla file and it worked fine but when I added an extra category to it, the menu went all crazy. I'm not sure how to fix it. Help!

It's pretty difficult to tell what might be wrong without seeing the actual file. From your example, I'm guessing that each item in the menu is animated in its own layer, and that you have sections of the timeline that will animate each item open. You are telling one item to animate closed and then telling another item to animate open. The problem could be with the parent child relationships, or with the naming of the movieClips, or something else entirely.

How do I put my tabs back up beside the orange firefox drop down menu?

I have an Acer Mini. In order to optimize screen space, I closed most of the toolbars down, leaving the navigation bar and the tabs on top. They appeared in the blue space beside the orange "firefox" drop down menu. I turned away from the laptop to tend to my baby and when I turned back, my 2 yr old was mashing keys. I don't know what he did, but now I can't get the tabs back up there.

Rollover Button + Drop-down menu = I need HELP!

Hello,
I'm fairly new to this whole Flash thing, but i seem to be
doing really well so far. I have created a website that is in
functional, working order - all of my buttons, actions, links, etc.
are working, (which i'm quite proud of), but i'm now at a loss. I'm
trying to create a rollover button/dropdown menu effect for two of
my galleries, and although i've successfully created the pop-up
effect of the menu by utilizing the "Over" and "Down" states inside
of the button itself, when i render out the file and test it, the
drop-down text flickers. Placing the mouse over the original
button, everything seems to work fine, but as soon as i move the
pointer down over the pop-up/drop-down text, it flickers! i've
tried creating this is separate layers, i've tried increasing my
Hit state, i've even tried a stop action, but nothing works, and
i'm out of ideas. Help!?

If you are hoping to make linkable buttons for the drop down
portions, then they need to be separate buttons. If they are
internal to the main button, then they are the main button and will
only link where it links (if they don't totally throw it out of
whack--I forget what one of my client's doing that resulted in, but
the bottom line is... buttons inside buttons are bad news.).
My suggestion: Google "AS2 drop down menu tutorials" and see
what you can find. Googling is a great resource for finding things.
There will likely be a number to choose from, so read thru them and
see which ones match what you're trying to create and are easy to
follow (some may not explain things well... everybody and their
uncles apparently want to try to teach the world what they know,
regardless of their ability to explain things (or lack thereof)).
Some, if not many, will provide source files you can build
from.

this is the movie. as you see the because the next part of the movie is a word input test, it becomes so inconvenient when you try to type something into the field and your mouse moves out and the window disappear. (** update: just tested, on(press) <> gotoAndStop() method would disable Input-text field as well)
that is why I wanted to make it a on(press) <> gotoAndStop() method, and when pressed, the drop-down would stay until a close button is pressed.
but then the 'choose font' onEnterFrame function destroyed if I put stop(); at the frame, I'm not sure what to do now.

I'm new to the spry tools and I need a little help. This is what I'm trying to accomplish in Dreamweaver CS4:
I need 2 horizontal spry menu bars for navigation. I have created a div for each spry tool, 1 div placed above the other and they cross the entire width of the page. I have created the spry menu bars. Everything seems to be working correctly in both menu bars, That is until you open the IE browser, all other browsers tested fine. The problem is that when you hover over the bottom menu bar in IE, the drop down menu does not drop all the way down. The first submenu of the drop down menu covers the main menu bar. I have tried to change the css for the spry menu bar at the ul.MenuBarHorizontal li.MenuBarItemIE to show the display: as inline and also tried block and niether had any effect. Someone please help. Some buttons (drop down menu) don't work on a certain website

Hello.
It seems that each time a website changes something about itself, Firefox has problems on that website.
Website in question: http://wotreplays.com/
The buttons on the left side of the screen should act like drop down menus, where you can select certain stuff. I said "should act like" because they act that way in Google Chrome. But nooo...it's too much to ask something like this from Firefox.
Anyway, after opening the Java console, I noticed that each time I press the buttons, I get this error message: ReferenceError: event is not defined. GET http://mc.yandex.ru/clmap/20807356.
Did all the usual stuff: deleted cache, deleted cookies, looked in the prefs.js for any references to blocked content, started Firefox in safe mode. Nothing helped.
Checked Java version, and I'm running the latest.
Can anyone help me, please?

Yes, that website doesn't appear to work with Firefox.<br />
I don't know of a workaround to fix this, so best would be to contact the website and ask them to look into this.<br />
AFAICT this code has never worked in Firefox, so either this code is a recent change or the website creator has never fixed this.

Powering Down & Menu Latency Problems

I've got a 5th gen iPod. After a couple of days I noticed that there was an annoying latency between menus, like a stutter. When this started happening, I also noticed that if I held the play button down the iPod would not power down. This bothered me enough that I took it back after trying hard and soft restores, etc. The Apple store were great and they gave me a brand new iPod, but now this one is doing the exact same thing. I did a full factory setting reset and it seems to be working now but if the problem comes back I'm considering returning it again. I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. I'm so happy with the iPod in all other respects and I have already watched quite a few movies on it. I'm just a little concerned. Any responses will be appreciated. Thanks.

I was having the same problem. In my case, the fix was to go into "Settings" and select "Reset All Settings." My suspicion is that it was "shuffle" mode had been causing the problem; if not that, it may have been the slight menu customization (via the "Main Menu" settings panel). Whatever the case, once I reset this, I've had no more trouble shutting down via the click wheel. Hope this helps.

Drop down menu accessibility problem

After i've finally thought the dropdown menu's issue is over,
a new problem arrives.
Everything is working fine in FF, and basically everything is
working on IE too.
Its just when I use the upper menu (not drop down) to open
one of the pages with dropdown menu, i need to refresh the page be4
i'll be able to see the menu pops.
But if I enter the link directly not via the main site, the
menu's works fine.
Kinda hard to understand what i mean, this will explain more:

Your stylesheet isn't working in IE6 and it's asking me to

Home screen in Creative Cloud drop down never loads

When I open my CC app from the drop down menu on my iMac (Mavericks), the wheel just keeps spinning in the home screen. If I switch tabs (apps, assets, etc.), everything is OK. When I switch back to the Home tab, the wheel is still spinning. I tought it just needed to sync but it's been like that for several days.
When I go to my MacBook Pro, everything works normal.
What's happening?

Code placement for drop down menu within an animated button

I have a main menu comprised of 7 buttons; 6 of which are all
straight forward with an animation. (The animation is that when the
buttons are rolled over the button extends itself out to the right.
On the rollout the button returns to its original state.) The 6 all
function fine.
The 7th menu button is the same idea but with the edition of
a two button drop down menu that appears when the main button is
rolled over. The roll over part is fine. My problem is moving the
cursor off the main button to get to the sub-menu items without
having them disappear once the cursor if off the main 7th button.
Within the time line of the 7th button (all of the buttons
are movie clip buttons) I put an invisible button, removing the
sections over both the main button and the sub buttons. I have
tried the following:
(I should point out that the labels within the button for the
animation are an _up, _over and _out states...the buttons animate
out in the _over label and animate back to the original position in
the _out label,)
The code and where I have (unsuccessfully) tried placing it
are as follows:
1.) On the invisible button itself (within the main button):

gotoAndPlay("_out");
2.) On the Actions layer (within the main button):
invisible_btn.onRollOver = function () {
gotoAndPlay("_out");
3.) On the Actions layer (on the main timeline...which is
where the code for the other 6 buttons is and running as should):

btnMusic_mc.gotoAndPlay("_out");
4.) Just a slight variation of #3 (still on the Actions layer
of the main timeline):
btnMusic_mc.invisible_btn.onRollOver = function () {

The result for all four of these options has been the same.
In rolling over the main button (btnMusic_mc) it does animate out
as it should, exposing the two sub buttons. But moving the cursor
off the btnMusic_mc neither allows me to reach the sub buttons nor
does the btnMusic_mc animate back to its first position (as it
should). It just snaps back into that position.
Clearly I am missing something here. Any thoughts would be
appreciated.

BTW, it's not a dropdown menu. It's a selection list in a form.
