Back light has gone on my iPod touch 4th gen
Hey guys
I wondered if it would be easyer totake my iPod touch to the apple store or a repair shop in my town
What worrys me is how much apple will charge as my iPods warranty ran out last year :-/

Music and Videos are gone after charging Ipod Touch 4th gen battery
The battery had completly died on my Ipod touch. Once it was fully charged, I unplugged it from the wall and turned it on, but all of my videos and music were gone!! However, my apps and photos were still there as well as my settings. What caused this?
Yes it did come 70% charged but I charged it, then drained it to charge it from 0% to 100%
the problem is from 0% it took 1 hour and 4 minutes 43 seconds to be fully charged to 100%
This doesn't seem normal as apple says it takes 4 hours. -

Can i get all my pictures back on my computer (icloud, itunes, etc.) from my totally smashed (no longer has a screen) iPod touch 4th gen if its locked without going to the apple store? There is absolutely no way to put in my password on my ipod. Its literally in pieces. i have the ipod itself, and the thing underneath it, but no screen, its not like its cracked, its actually gone and i can see the inside of the ipod. Thats what comes up every time i connect my ipod, so i know it works vvv. Please help! </3 i'm gonna die without my pics. My dad wont take me to the apple store. Any help would be great! Thanks!

My iPod touch (4th gen) suddenly went blank, and I can't get it back on!
I was listening to music and downloading songs from the iTunes Store on my iPod touch (4th gen) when suddenly the screen went blank. The music I was listening to was still playing in my headphones. When I unplugged the headphones, the music oddly continued playing from the built-in speakers, instead of pausing like it normally does when you remove the headphones without pausing. I think the music finally stopped shortly after I plugged the headphones back in.
Since this happened, the iPod has not responded at all when I press or hold buttons. The screen has remained blank and turned off. Surprisingly, iTunes still recognizes the iPod when I connect it to my computer (Windows Vista laptop, if it matters) and tries to sync. Since iTunes is very poorly written, it almost always freezes at some point before I can successfully finish syncing, but this was happening before my iPod blank-screened, so it isn't related to the problem.

IPod touch 4th gen won't restore or power on after dropping it on its back "waiting for ipod"
My iPod touch 4th gen was recently dropped on its back after playing with its case. It turned white, then powered off.
After that i tried restoring and now everytime itunes stays on the "waiting for ipod" step.
I know that all functions work because I successfully entered dfu mode many times, and the lcd powers on but the progress bar doesn't move while itunes says waiting for ipod.
Thanks for looking at my thread and sorry if i misposted (first time apple forum user)Something has been jarred inside. Anecdotally, people have reported success smacking their device again, to maybe rejarr things back into working order. But doing that is your call since it could be defined as abuse.
If it's physically damaged inside, there may not be much of a user fix for you to try unfortunately. -
ive got a new pc with windows 7 and my ipod touch 4th gen is synced with my old pc ,how can i back up the photos and music on the ipod to my new pc ?
Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time. If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library. You should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking the Devices tab, and enabling the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else, authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account. In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.

Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc. For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases. I tried updating my iPod touch 4th gen and now the screen is bright blue or flashing white and black lines.ive tried the whole home and power button thing but it only brings up the apple icons then goes back to the blue or other screen.please help?

My Ipod Touch 4th Gen is listed as offline, even when I am using it to track other devices. Restarting has no effect.
Try going to Settings>iCloud, turn Find My iPod off, then after a minute or so, turn it back on.

ive been trying to update since friday my internet is perfect [speedtest.net] itunes just wont get past [backing up ipod[ i hope they fix this soon and i just wanted to see if anybody else was also having this problem because i want the new features coming with ios but its just not working and it took all night just to get roughly to about 20% completion of backing up ipod then when i got home it said "could not restore ipod its still on firmware 4.3.3 so i dont know why it said could not restore i did click "update" but anyway im having this problem and wondering if anyone else is {i think everybodys having problems itunes10.5 right nowI am having the same problem (lost in back-up purgatory) on both my iPhone 4 and my iPad2. I have tried everything I've seen suggested on various support communities, with no success.
I have gotten used to having to find a windows workaround everytime Apple updates iTunes, and this time it is especially frustrating.
I don't have any solutions, and I am responding to all of these types of messages in hopes of finding something that will work for me.
One person was able to work through it by deleting all of the previous iTunes backup files. I'm trying that now. 4 hours into it, and it does not seem to be working...... -
I updated my Ipod touch 4th gen (IO6 or whatever its called) And it has the picture that says to connect my ipod to Itunes, and I did, now it says "ITunes has detected an Ipod in recovery mode. You must restore this Ipod before it can be used with ITunes." I just updated it and now I have to restore it??! I don't wanna lose all my things on my ipod just for a stupid update! Please someone help!
Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything... and you must continue with the Recovery...

Note that you can only sync with one computer/iTunes library. If you switch libraries/computers, the synced media on the iPod gets deleted. -
I got my screen fixed and the day i got my ipod touch 4th gen back the wifi doesnt work unless i hold it right up to my router. Roughly every foot I move back it loses a bar and if i leave the room it doesn't even have a signal completely. Could the screen replacement have tampered with the wifi capability? Also if it helps I switched internet providers and during the time when my ipod was being fixed a new router was installed and it doesnt seem to work unless directly infront of my ipod.
Take it back to where you had the screen replaced. They messed up the connection to the wifi antenna
