Back to firmware 1.0.2, please help!
Hello everybody,
two days ago I updated to firmware 1.0.3 .Before that I haven't had any problems with my iPod Classic 80Gb. Unfortunately after the mantioned update, I observed that the volume limit is a lot lower- maybe double.
At the end of the day, I have no benefits from 1.0.3, but a volume limit!!! :(((
Please, tell me that there is some way back to 1.0.2.

Before down-revving your iPod from 1.0.3, did your iPod's "Soundcheck" get turned on somehow? Enabling soundcheck (Settings/Soundcheck) will typically drop the volume in order to level out the volume differences between songs.
If that's not it, then you can try a simpler method to install 1.0.2, *but it requires that you already have 1.0.2 on your computer*. If your iPod did not come with 1.0.2 and you had previously updated to 1.0.2, then it should already be on your computer. If that's the case, then try these instructions*:
"To downgrade to an earlier firmware version, simply connect the iPod, and then click the “Restore” button while holding down the SHIFT key (Windows) or OPT key (Mac), and iTunes will prompt you for which firmware package to use to restore the iPod. Select the v1.0.2 package which should still be located on your computer, and iTunes will erase and restore your iPod with the older firmware."

If you never installed 1.0.2 (e.g. your iPod came with that version) then you'll need to try to find a copy, which I can't seem to locate at the moment. Search around to see if anyone posted it ...

PLEASE HELP ME.This means that the phone you have was software unlocked to use on any carrier, or hacked. When you installed the update it restored the lock that originaly came with your phone. Not much you can do now. Apple will not support hacked phones. You will need to find out the carrier your phone is locked to and see if they offer official unlocking, or start googling to see if you can find a way to unlock 4.2.

go to settings and sign out his apple id in the sections i tell you:
1.game center
2.itunes and appstore
3.messages
4.icloud(delete acount;it wont realy delete it will only remove from your ipad)
5.facetime
and then enter your icloud in each and every section -

I'm sorry to hear that your iPhone 4s was lost, and glad that you were able to upgrade.
If your iPhone 4s was backed up to iCloud or using iTunes, you can restore the backed up data to your new phone.

I have updated my iPhone to iOS6.1.3 today and lost all my photos and some data(messageies) I have tried iTunes back up but still not success, please help.
If your messages and photos weren't part of your backup, then they're gone.
Certainly you weren't foolish enough to update the iOS on your phone before importing your photos off your phone for safe keeping on your computer like you would do with any digital camera, were you? -
E: drive full and trying to back up! driving me craaaazy please help
hey! my laptop is like 5 days old! i put all my old photos and music from itunes onto disks from my old laptop and put them onto this one. everything was fine until sunday! the laptop started a back up! i got a messege saying that the disk E: drive was full and to delete files ect... or i could change the settings! i tryed to change the back up to do this onto disk. but iv been told there should be a place to do this on the laptop and the the wall partions may not be set rite. i also keep getting a warning that my E: drive is full and to make space! i have phoned hp support and they say talk to the place i got the laptop from and so i did they said i could sent it back but that means removing everything! i have googled and seen loads of people with this prob so is there a way to fix this? someone please help its drivng me crazy! i have a hp pavilion g6 series. thaaaaaaaanks x
You need to re-run the backup program to unselect the E drive.
As a sidebar, it is actually unwise to backup to the same physical hard drive. You need to realize that you have a single hard drive , that is partitioned in hard disc C,D,E. If that physical hard drive were to crash, cease to function. burn-out, etc, you lose all of it. It is not separate drives.

If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

If they really meant that much to you, they would have been copied off to a computer at the earliest possible opportunity.
I personally find it amazing that people get so upset when pictures "accidentally" get deleted and then scream about how important they are. You wouldn't leave important paper work lying around to be lost/damaged/stolen, so why take a chance with important pictures on a device that can so easily be lost/damaged/stolen, or deleted by a child. -

Reverting back to old settings, music wiped - PLEASE HELP!!!
I updated my ipod to the ios5 software and it wiped all my music, video and apps,
some of them were on my itunes and some were not, is there any way I can recover/get them back?
If I call apple do you think there is any way they will be able to reverty my ipod back to the previous settings, so NOT back to its factory settings, but exactly back to the way it was BEFORE i got the new software, because I dont really like it that much anyway.

Good luck, but they will tell you the same thing that anyone here will tell you.
Unless the device was backed up (via iTunes or iCloud) after the pictures were taken but prior to deleting them on the device, they are gone. There is no way to recover them once deleted without a backup.
