Hi I will be getting a Macbook during the back to school event, but I am wandering if anyone knows what date it might start this year, and if you can buy through that site during that time or have to go to the Apple store?

You can buy online and in the store. Nobody here would know when it would start.

Back to School promo UK

I added a Macbook to my shopping cart, and selected yes when it asked me if I also wanted an ipod nano. I selected a 2gb ipod nano and it asked me what colour I wanted, but the only choices were black or white and the nano now comes in other colours as well. Why can't I choose another colour? Is the site offering me the old nano instead of the new one? The promo doesn't say that it's restricted to the old nanos and you can't get a new one.

As far as I understand it you just order a 2G Nano (picking the colour then) and order the MacBook and then you fill in this form (once you've received the MB and iPod) and then you can claim £100 back.
However, to make sure, please call Apple on this freephone number (0800 039 1010) to check before you buy and get them to talk you through the process. I'd advise taking the name of who you speak to in case of issues claiming your £100 back later!
Remember to go to the Education page before entering the Apple Store to ensure you get the education discount on the MacBook (assuming you're a Student/Teacher).

Back to School Laptop Question

Hey Guys,
Im headed in to my last year in high school (Grade 12) and passed by BestBuy and got a crap load of stuff. Which includes:
- Acer Aspire Netbook
- Office 2007 Professional
- Microsoft Math
- Antivirus Software
- Windows 7 Ultimate Full Version
All came out to be 729.99.
My question is do you all think that this sufficient for a student's use in high school. Basically for all the assignments and other relevent work to be completed.
Anything is apprecieated.

Do you really need Windows 7 Ultimate?

Is this possible or allowed??? (concerning back to school promo)

I was wondering if i get the free printer with my macbook, is it possible after i get my rebate to take my unopened printer to an apple store and exchange it for store credit??? anyone know?

I don't think apple will accept that, especially if they can track your rebate already being paid or issued for, from your invoice or serial number.
Shouldn't you cut the barcode as one of the requirement to get the rebate?

Back to School iPod promo with the Core 2 iMacs

Does any one know if apple is planning on allowing the core 2 iMacs to be apart of the back to school promo?
Under the terms and conditions they say "Products not listed in this chart are ineligible for a rebate". So does that mean that the core 2 counts?

Back to school education program question

I bought my macbook pro 2 weeks ago. I live in UK and a friend will bring it in a month for me from the us. When Ill first use the computer probably the back to school promotion will start. Is the promotion valid from the day that I buy the computer or from the day I first use it.?

It only applies to purchases made while the promotion is ongoing or within the promotion window (which I don't know as its not currently active but its not usually more than 30 days if memory serves).

If you did somehow qualify, someone would have to bring you (like now) / send you the iPod from the US as the computer purchase was made in the US.

"back to school 2012" redeem card for $100

I bought my mac last July and got this redeem card. But I left the U.S. a month later and I haven't got a chance to use that card. It seems that this card is only valid on U.S. itunes store, which means I can use it only when I am back to the U.S.
My questions are:
1. Does this card have a time limit for me to use that? Or the remainder in this card is available forever?
2. If I perchase an app which is not free on mac using this card, will my iphone and ipad also get this app for free synchronizedly via the same Apple ID?

No "back to school" promotion on new iPods :(

I just called Apple, and am sorry to discover the "Back to School" promotion for educators and students has effectively ended 4 days early, as none of the new iPods are eligible for the promotion.
Incidently, I'm sorrier to discover how rude the phone rep was... I understand it's a heavy call volume day for Apple, but there's no excuse for the sort of haughy condescension I got, being interrupted with: "no way. no way. there's no way Apple would ever give a new product like that away. you should know that..."
It's a good thing the technology does a good job selling itself.

Two questions...I assume from your post that they no longer have the older Nanos in stock that are eligible for the promotion? And, what about the Apple stores? Do they sell out old stock, or would they also only have the new models available?
If the older models aren't available at all through normal education channels (which for many means only directly from Apple), I find it extremely annoying that they advertised the promotion until the 16th and then pulled them. That's very poor form.

Do you have to purchase the mac from an Apple store? Will this deal still apply if you purchase it from a seller such as Best Buy, Futureshop, etc...

The $100 iTunes gift card is a promo being run specifically by Apple, so no a third-party vendor will not have the same promo. Bust Buy does like to match deals, so as tjk suggests, you should contact them and see if they can offer anything to match Apple's promo.

When will the Back to School Promotion start for 2011?

I've been waiting to get a new Mac for school use, as a bonus I want a free iPod Touch 4th gen + $100 off on the notebook. I've seen MANY reliable web sources saying it's gonna be "soon".

How do I apply for a Back to School 50$ itunes card?

Hello everyone,
I apologise in advance if I have posted this in the wrong section.
My step-mother recently visited the US for holiday and bought me a brand new iPad 3 from the apple store as a present because I am starting university in England in September. This was all about 2 weeks ago.
I recently found out that my situation meets the requirements to get a free $50 USD iTunes card to spend on apps for university (which I would find incredibly usefull!) and so I would like to know how I can get this card?

Sorry, but you probably can't. The US program only applies to those who are enrolled or enrolling in a US university, so you can't apply for the US back-to-school program (and couldn't use the US-issued gift card in the UK anyway) and I believe that the UK program requires that you purchase from the UK Apple Store (the US program does). You can call the UK Apple Store and ask if there's any way a US-purchased iPad would qualify for the UK back-to-school program, but it's not likely.

Last week, I went to the apple store, Because my back to school card is not working.
And the clerk helped me to solve that the problem.
He said i will receive the mail from apple customer service.
From last week until today. I did not receive any mail from apple customer.

I'm afraid you're asking in the wrong place. Apart from the fact that this is the forum for people who make podcasts, the entire discussions are user-to-user forums: you're not talking to Apple here, and no-one on here can help you. You will have to take this up with Apple directly.
If you go to the Apple Store page for your country you should see a phone number in the bottom right-hand corner: they may be able to help or at least tell you how to contact the people who can.
