hi! apple replaced my iphone with a new one and i was wondering if its possible to get my data back from my old phone? i remember backing up my old iphone on itunes before my old iphone died on me.

In itunes, make sure that auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected, is disabled under preferences before you connect your new phone.
Connect your phone, do not sync.
Right-click the phone in the device pane & select restore from backup.
All of your data from your last backup will be placed on your new phone. Passwords for wifi, mail, etc. won't for security reasons, these you'll have to reenter.

No, you should not. There are problems trying to go the other way, but updating a newer iOS release from a backup of an older iOS release has always been supported and is the basic means of setting up a new device from a previous one.

recently had to purchase a replacement phone a friend of mine had backed up the data on the lost phone to his Mac laptop how do I get that backed up data from the lost iPhone that's on his Mac laptop to my new replacement phone? Please give step by step instructions xoxoxo
And my iTunes sign in is also screwed up... It is underneath my friends email (the one with my backed up data on his Mac laptop) HOW DO I CHANGE THIS SO THAT I CAN DOWNLOAD APP's again...I suspect unless he had some items in iCloud backup then they are gone. Connecting an iPhone to a different library from that to which it was previously connected will result in the device asking if you want to erase it.

I just upgraded from the iPhone 4 to 4s. I had backed up the old phone backed up to iCloud. How do I restore that data to my new iphone? Even though I had photostream on, it never synched. I installed iCloud for the pc and can see the backup up in the cloud. I just want to get all the data to the new phone.
When you go through the new phone setup, it should ask if you want to setup as new or restore from iCloud. If you have already setup as new, you will have to reset the 4S to factory settings, and go through setup again.

I have an iPhone 3GS that I dropped in water for a moment. After drying it and everything, it still does everything but get service. Can I back it up and transfer its data to a new iPhone 3GS? I heard something about how loading a backup from a water damaged phone could mess up the new one... is this true? I would truly appreciate the help, please let me know, thanks!
Sounds like your phone is in recovery mode. In this case, all data on it is gone. There's nothing to back up.

How can I get my all my data on my new iphone 5?
I have a huge problem. Just received my iphone 5 today. I have an iphone 4 currently running v 4.2.1. I have not been able to update due to computer issues with my mac (I was planning to buy a new mac in the next few months so I didn't worry about it). I can't get cloud back up on my iphone 4. I can't sync my new iphone 5 to my mac because of it does not have the new version downloaded on it.
Am I stuck with this problem? Is there a solution to get all my data onto my new iphone?There is no solution, not if your existing Mac is not able to run a compatible OS X and iTunes version.

I loaded my ipad photos from camera and all the pictures sorted by date. I later sync my ipad with my computer and the photos were all reorganized into IMPRT folders an out of date sequence. Any idea how to put the photos back into date files other than reloading all of them from camera?
What version of iPhoto?
Select one and rotate it. Then rotate it back. Does that make it appear?
A much better work flow is the keep the photos after importing. Check the success the import, wait for at least one successful backup cycle then use you camera's format command to reformat the card

If you have any photo stream photos on your old phone that you want to keep you might want to save them to the camera roll, then import them to your computer (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) before deleting the account. The reason for this is that photo stream photos are only kept in iCloud for 30 days. When you enable photo stream on your new phone you will only receive photo stream photos from the last 30 days as older photos are no longer in iCloud.

Unless the app is available from the iTunes app store, you are out of luck. There are many Android apps that are not available on the iPhone and likewise many iPhone apps not avaliable on Android.
