Back Up Tab

What is this backup tab, exactly? Is it my Time Machine local backup?
I have one iPhone that backs up, and it only shows the latest back up in the 'devices,' in iTunes. I really would like to get rid of all these back ups. Would disabling local back ups delete them and such?

There's really no reason to do that.
Local Snapshots are "expendable" -- they'll be deleted automatically if your HD gets over 80% full.
Otherwise, you have access to recent backups while away from your normal backup disk.

how do i add the "open a new tab" plus sign button, back to tabs & bookmarks back to the menu bar? i was able to click & drag bookmarks and folders containing bookmarks from the bookmark menu to a toolbar and the tab + button was always on the right side of a tab before i saw ff 13.0.1 on windows 7.

Somehow your bookmarks that normally appear on the separate Bookmarks Toolbar (the part on the left) got onto your main Navigation Toolbar. To move them back, return to Customize mode and drag "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" to the Bookmarks Toolbar. Then click Done and hopefully that will stick.

With multiple tabs open, I use to click File, close tab---now close tab is missing and I exit out of Firefox completely. How do I get that choice back "close tab" in the "File" drop down? Thanks. George C.

The drop down "FILE" in the tool bar use to have a choice to "CLOSE TAB". This is now missing so when I have multiple tabs open and I want to close the most recent, I cannot. I then get warned that I will be closing multiple numbers of tabs, but there is no other choice.

JSF Page Navigation from Tab to another page and back to tab

I have a Page with tabs and a button in each of those presenting a Table and "Create Button"
I would like to go to a new page and come back to the same active tab.
How do I set the page navigation properties?
Right now I am in
Page1(Tab3) Button click-> page2(Create)->Page1 is showing a wrong active tab.
Can we tell page navigation to go activate a tab it came from?

Hello, maybe if u declare a sessionbean variable as string, in the page u want to open thew tab, in init() you must call the session bean withh the name of the tab u are calling, for example:
getSessionBean1().setSeltab("tab1");

After an update a few weeks ago, the tab feature that used to come up with boxes with my most used pages e.g. Facebook, Ebay, and many others just isn't there anymore. I can't find how to get this feature back. Please help.

Do you have the Test Pilot Addon? Test pilot was expirimenting with new tab pages recently, to determine which new tab page should make it into a later version of firefox (probably 9 or 10). I believe the study is over now, so they have removed the new tab page.

if ur looking for what tabs u had open before u turned off pc go to top left firefox button go history and restore previous session or right click anywhere in taskbar bottom and click start task manger which is same as crl, alt, del and kill firefox when u reopen firefox it will load previous session, but if it is tabs from the top back to bottom of toolbar right click next to tabs and untick tabs on top they will go to bottom like old way.

Should be no problem.
Just create a Classic Report and change the display as type of the columns you want to make editable.

Everything worked great til yesterday. Now no back arrow, tabs don't work,Yikes! Put it back the way it was!!

I tried to reinstall but that didn't work. There is no back arrow, the tabs don't work, they just open up but there is no place to type anything in. I loaded google chrome to use in the meantime but I don't like it. This jproblem just happened..everything was fine until yesterday.

Opening in the side bar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website. 
You can check the Properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the side bar (Ctrl+B; Cmd+B on Mac). 
In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Details pane at the bottom right. 
Make sure that "Load this bookmark in the side bar" is not selected.

Is there a way to get back the tab-specific drop down history button on Firefox 4?

Recently updated to Firefox version 4.0.1 and noticed the drop down history button was missing from beside the back/forward buttons. It was easier to use it then click the back button 20 times when you have multiple pages/tabs up. Is there a way to get the button back without reverting to an earlier version of Firefox?

Click-hold the unified Back / Forward button, or right-click it to get the Back / Forward history for that tab.
Or install this extension to get the old "drop-marker" button restored.

Catalog browsing enhacements: back button, tabs

It's sometimes tedious to navigate LR catalogs in the Library view. LR has a lot of great viewing & filtering options, but there's history, no good way to go back and forth between different views, in short, no way to really "manage" viewing sessions.
Most "browser" programs (web browsers, file browsers, other image management programs) have these features to manage views:
"Back" and "forward" buttons. Almost indispensable. You can click around the catalog, and change view & filter settings with more confidence, knowing you can go back to the view you were looking at before.
Tabs. Brillaint. Would be great if LR supported multiple tabs, each with a Library viewing session. Or the ability to save & recall sessions, that would be listed in a "Views" panel along with Catalog, Folders, & Collections.
And a related issue, it would be great if I could make my Filter and View settings persist as I change folders. As it is now, the settings are remembered per folder. Perhaps this decision was made in order to provide some of the benefits of "saved" views: click back to a folder to were viewing previously, and the view settings for that folder are restored. But most of the time, this is not the behavior I want. I want to choose view & filter settings, and then browse multiple folders with those. I currently have to reset the filter every single time I change a folder; very frustrating.
Overall, it would speed things up a lot if we had global filter settings, along with multiple saved views, as mentioned above.

Is there any way to open the back page (the one you viewed before) in a new extra tab in safari?

You can with a free Safari add on called Glims

Once Glims is installed, control click the horizontal tab bar then click Reload Tab or Reload All Tabs.
Other useful features in Glims as well.
You can access the settings in Safari > Preferences > Glims once it's installed.

How do I get back my tabs after they were deleted during a recent update of Firefox?

I recently updated to Firefox 5, and in the process, Firefox has erased all the tabs I had open in Firefox 4, and I want to know how I can get them back. It was a routine update, and everything worked fine, except that when I opened Firefos 5, I just got the welcome message, nothing else. No tabs from my Firefox 4 browsing...

I can find them if I go back in the history, but they're from the last three four weeks, so it would take a long time, and I don't remember all of them. That's why I had them as tabs, but the tabs are gone, and I was kind of hoping that they could be restored...

FF36: Sites with background image flickers/flashes when going back to tab after 2 minutes.

Figure I'll mention this here as well.
When viewing websites with background images, such as twitter.com or my own website at www.markheadrick.com and I change to another tab for 2 minutes (this amount of time is repeatable anyway) I get a flicker of a black background before the page is fully drawn. If I have multiple tabs with the same background image, only the first tab will show the flicker. It's like it's loosing the image in memory or something. It has done this with Firefox in Safe Mode and with a new, clean profile. It has also done this with Hardware Acceleration off.
Windows 7 Pro 64bit w/ NVidia 550ti and 314.22 drivers. Newer drivers are more problematic which is why I have stayed with these.
Again, only pages with background images seem to show this flicker. Did not happen with Firefox 35 on my system.
