Backflush and REM profile and control key ...

Hi all,
in REM manufacturing, the backflush is control by routing control key or REM profile settign in configuration ?

In REM scenario the backflush is controlled only by REM Profile.u can configure it in SPRO.
path is ..production> Repetitive manfacturing> control data> rem profle
u can create with the help of assistant given in SPRO

Swapping Function and Control keys on a Lenovo Laptop

Lenovo laptops reverse the usual positions of the Function and Control keys (see this photo). It seems like a minor problem, but it is very frustrating.
How can I swap these keys? I have tried various xmodmap configurations (some based on the examples provided in the manual and some based on this eerily similar question), but nothing seems to work.

Fn keycode: 151, Fn name: XF86WakeUp
Left Control keycode: 37, Left Control name: Control_L

Switch the function and control keys

Sounds like a stupid request but my life would be much simpler if my Lenova T540p keyboard had the function and control keys switched. I use the control key ALOT and having it to the far left hand lower corner would be awesome.

Try your BIOS. For me (Thinkpad T540p), it's in Config>Keyboard/Mouse>Switch FN and CTRL keys.

With limitations; yes. Go to System Preferences and select Keyboards & Mouse and add your choices. Keep in mind that such chances will affect all well intended Apple commands and may end up driving you crazy!

How do I incorporate Command,Option,Shift and Control keys into AppleScripts?

but since I am not quite familiar with this I am not getting it right

Want to swap FN and CONTROL keys: Hope of BIOS support?

I hate the Lenovo placement of the FN key where most systems have Control. I've experimented with operating system changes to remap keys, but these have failed. In the Ubuntu Linux email list, people contend the swap of the FN and Control must be made in the BIOS because of the way the FN key functions.
If you know of a software method to swap the FN and CONTROL keys, please tell me.
If you have any information about using the BIOS to do that, please tell me.

Although enabling this swap in BIOS has been a wish expressed by many new users coming to the ThinkPad world, no BIOS currently supports it.

Using caps lock key as caps lock and control key

I'd like to use the caps lock key as caps lock and control key. While I can convert the caps lock to control key very easily, there seems no way to make it both caps lock and control. Is there any way to do this? I use emacs and it'd be really useful to be able to do this.

Finally found something that worked for me. See this thread and look for the post about removing the Hitoolbox plist files.

I removed all of them. (Had multiples) Also make sure you empty the trash afterwards.
Then restart.
Then I used the modifier key trick in this thread. Turned off the caps lock key. Then restart.
Then use the modifier key trick and turn the caps lock key back on. Test to see if your lights come back on for the caps lock key.
If so, next time you restart it should still work. Finally. This thing has been dogging me for a long time.

Apple AL Bluetooth Keyboard - Tab, Caps Lock, Function and Control keys just stopped working

Hi All -
All of a sudden I get on my baby, 27" iMac OSX 10.6 and the some keys on the bluetooth keyboard do not work. Specifially the Tab, Caps Lock, Function and Control keys. I'm fine with the caps lock gone (why is it there?) but the others are useful.
I've searched all over for a solution but I haven't found one. Tried to upgrade the firmware which is fine, reset the PRAM done, checked the speech per apple support nadda.
Please help.

Go to System preferances > Universal Access > Mouse or Mousie and trackpad > and turn your Mouse keys off.
Then disconnect and reconnect your keyboard.
Note that you don't open your mouse under hardware in System Preferances, this is for a whole different group of settings

I recorded a video on 10.5.7 and it shows the ^ key for control, and the escape icon for when I pushed the ESC key.

Production sheduling profile VS control key

I have few quieries regarding PP.
1.How Auto goods receipt is triggered? If we set in Prod.schd. file then why we need control key for this AGR? what is the difference on both cases?
2.what is the rough-cut planning? why we need this in SOP?
3.what is the significance of basic dates and lead time scheduling? what is the difference between those two?

Auto good receipt can be triggered by the control key maintained inthe work center. Please check the individual control keys for details . In this you have to use the control key in which auto receipt receipt is checked.
Rough cut planning is the planning which is done preliminarily. After it is finalised this has to be transfered to demand mangement (PIR) . Once it is moved to PIR when MRP run system willl take the requirements and calculate the material requirements.
Lead time scheduling is scheduling which is done for the materila after taking into consideration of the lead time, including individual operation times.

Cannot change command and control button

in the past I've been able to switch the command and control buttons from system preferences. I recently connected a new Microsoft keyboard to my mac mini, and when I change the command and control button the same way I did before, it has no affect. The command and control keys have their default action. Is there a way to over ride this?

I did on Lenono brand windows keyboard and it works, but when I try a Microsoft brand windows keyboard, it doesnt work.

Keyboard remapping - scancodes/keycodes and Fn key

I'm using Archlinux on a MacBook Pro and I'm overall pretty happy.
However I desperately want to swap my Fn and Control keys. I know that this is a tricky business but I also know that this can be done in OS X via a kext module, so I hope it can be done in Linux as well.
The output of showkey prints when I press Fn:
keycode 464 press
keycode 464 release
showkey -s however prints nothing when I press just Fn.
Here's the output of evtest:

It does not print an EV_MSC line as the Control key does:

So, it looks like my plan to remap the keys using scancodes (via setkeycodes) will not work. Remapping via loadkeys (keycode 464 = Control) also does not work - the Fn+<letter> combination is treated as if just the letter has been pressed.
I will appreciate any kind of help as I am pretty stuck at this point.

I do not have a Thinkvantage folder in Control Panel.
I was unable to find any reference on Lenovo's site for the T500 for keyboard customization.
I took you original advice, before editing, and installed the Keyboard customizer for the T400. This works as expected for the T500. I looked through the programs supplied by Lenovo for the T500 and could not find any program for the keyboard on my system.
I have removed some of the less than useful Lenovo configuration and control programs maybe that is the reason for the missing Control Panel folder. Many seem to be slow to get things right and often get things wrong, but that is another thread. I do not understand why IBM and now Lenovo keep making programs that are redundant with small gain relative to standard Windows features. I have found the WiFi and Wired networking particularly difficult to get working smoothly. The only solution is to turn off the WiFi.
Now if you have a reason for 4 displays, 2 ATi, and 2 Intel Mobile in the windows display confguration panel on my system I will be forever grateful.
Anyway thank you for you help in finding a solution to my external keyboard customization problem.

MS-1757 Fn and Ctrl keys swapped

Suddenly my function and control keys are reversed and I can't figure out how to turn them back. I've had this MSI laptop for over a year and I've never had this problem, Ctrl on the bottom left corner of the keyboard and function just to the right of it. Now, all of a sudden, I have to hit Fn + C for copy and all other Ctrl-governed shortcuts.
Does anyone have any idea how to turn it back to the way it used to be?

Have you updated BIOS or EC firmware lately? Maybe you should debug the issue beginning from BIOS and EC.
