Background color in HTML widget is a totaly different color in IE than what is shown in safari. http://web.mac.com/bmoody/Royalfest/5k.html .The scrolling text background is beige in safari and Firefox but blue in IE6. Any insite to what I can change or what the issue is other than microsoft would be greatly appreatiated

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Unfortunately this about says it all:

You could try an image file of the color you want to have and see if it will be rendered any truer by IE. Be sure the file contains the sRGB color profile that most web sites use and it should render the same on all browsers except for possibly the brightness.

Crop tool shows background color unless I switch to "Classic" mode

I'm not sold on the "latest" Photoshop being the best. I've seen more bugs now that I've subscribed to the "CC" version than ever before. Here's my latest issue..
When I activate the crop tool (I realize it's been rewritten.. not sure why), I see my current background color in place of what is visible in my current workspace. Ultimately, completing the crop command, it crops as expected, and the background color vanishes. What benefit is this? It adds confusion and makes me a bit confused as to what the final crop result will be. Why was this changed? Why am I seeing my current background color? It makes no sense. I've been using Photoshop for nearly 20 years and this is just dumb. Can anyone explain?

Yeah, that was pretty vague. I was in a creative mode and was rudely interrupted by this weird change, so I wasn't focused on a clear post. The lack of direct email support to Adobe frustrated me also. Alas..
Bascially, I have a layer with some image data, and transparent regions:
I select the crop tool, and select a region just inside the outside edge, containing the portion of the image I care about:
The background switched from being transparent to my current background color selection. I had this green chosen for some completely unrelated task. I can't find anywhere that this can be disabled. The settings I have are what I believe to be the defaults:
And, when I change the crop settings to "Use Classic Mode", the behavior is the more sensible (in my opinion) current background:
I hope that clears up the confusion. I can't imagine any use case where replacing the current visible background with the current background color makes sense. If it's a feature, I can't find any documentation, official or otherwise, that explains why this is happening.
Yes, I like the latest versions of software, but since I made the jump from CS4 to CC, I've hit more bugs than ever before. I've had to kill Photoshop a couple times in the past two months, whereas before, it never froze up or crashed on me. This feels like a bug, but if it's a feature, I'd love to know how to use the new crop tool's background settings properly.

Af:table: defining row background color based on a condition

I want to display log objects (priority, name, detail) in a tab.
The background color must be green for priority "DEBUG" and red for priority "WARN".
It seems that in the table component, we can only control the column aspect and the output text inside...
I'have read some posts (Franck N.) and it seems not possible to have an action of the row (all columns) background color...
What can be the workarround ? other <af:?> component ???
Is it now possible with the new JDEV11 components ?

Your solution is not working but if i put the styleclass instruction in the outputText element, it is working...
Is there any other solution ???... because in this solution, we are obliged to put this EL in each outputText element of the tab.

As an example, html widget has white background on iPad, and black on mac. The same goes for interactive widget.
The MathType text inserted is inserted as a image, and will have the same color when in fullscreen as when not. So I need the textcolor to be the same in both views. Anyone know how to fix this?

Here's a re-creation of my own, going off what you described. You said "all html widgets and all gallery widgets" have this problem. So I inserted a blank HTML widget and a blank Gallery widget, and typed into both. Inserted a MathType equation into both. I don't see any difference when I preview it on my Mac compared to the preview on the iPad. I want to help, but I can't help if I can't duplicate the issue.

How to change the background color only for one HTML-Portlet?

I have created a HTML-Portlet in my root-page. The root page have a style: Main-Style.
I want to change the background-color only for this one HTML-Portlet:

I don't think you need <html><header><title>Test</title></header>
<body></body></html> for your HTML-Portlet.

Is there a way to change the background color of a HTML iView automatically (without using the html editor) ?
Actually the background is white, and I would like it to be blue (or better : in the same color of the theme's background). And I don't want to use the XML Form builder, because you can't add images...

in the body tag u can write like this

but this background color doesnt change according to the portal theme.

How to control background color of table cell in an html report?

I am using Labview 6.1 to generate a report. In that report there is a table created using the Append Numeric Table to Report VI. I want to be able to programmatically control the background color of each cell in the table. Also, how can I programmatically control the background color of the row and header cells of the same table. I am also generating a second table in the same report using the Append Text Table to Report VI and I would like to programmatically control the background colors of the cells in that table as well. i´m not sure if there is an ready to use function to do what you want, but you can enlarge the available function. Open the "Append Numeric Table to Report.vi" and go to the HTML Case. There you can see another vi which creates the html table. In the VI "HTML Report Table Row" you can add the option: bgcolor="your color" inside of the "TR" tag.

That option changes color only around the white portion of the widget. The white portion is where the question and the answers are - I want to lose the default white color.

The HTML editor is the 'FCK Editor' of old, and the config for it is stored on the server where all of the javascript for your server instance is stored. You can modify much of the configuration of the HTML editor. The documentation for modifying the configuration of FCKEditor is here:

Change your AS3 function code to be more like...

and I suggest you do not use...
this.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, bgChange)
as that will continuously trigger the function call at the frame rate of the Flash file. If the intention is to only trigger it once, then just use...

Background color different than in index.html

Hello All,
does anyone know what what is the cause that the background color of knoweldge folder is different that one specified in index.html?
After portal restart some of the knowledge room has changed the background colors to the portal theme and some of them are still as defined in index.html
Anyone knows where is the prob?

just take placeholder property and select HTML option as below
Then inside textbox you can use expression like below
="<FONT color=""green"">" & Fields!YourField.Value & "</FONT>"
and text will show in green color. you can specify color of your choice
But I would also prefer using standard property of textbox to set the color

It won't work IF your page is responsive but it isn't so no problem. If it were responsive a better solution would be to take advantage of the css property display: table; and display: table-cell;
In reference to your footer background color not showing I would assume you have floated items within the footer container. If so then you need to clear those floated items which allows the footer container to wrap itself around the floated items inside it.
You would do this by using css - overflow: hidden; - on the parent container which has the floats inside it.
