Background color project

Okay,
try to change the backgrund color for the project - as I understand: It works with a white generator,
BUT: as far I put this under a clip having a masc the black background of the masc is still showing up in the timeline?
How to get rid of this, please help.
Thanks!
C.S.

How is that mask created? Are you using the mask effect? Did you bring into FCP a clip that is supposed to have some transparency in it? What are the settings for this clip?
Also, if you import a clip with tranparency it, you won't be able to use the alpha channel if you are set to use proxy media. If that is the case, switch to original/optimized media.
Below is an example of a clip that has a globe against a transparent background, and a whitish generator below it. The clip was generated outside FCP X and saved as ProRes 4444 to preserve the alpha channel.

  • Discovery: Border color trumps project background color, sort of

    I just made an interesting discovery.  My project background is set to #FFFFFF white (Edit > Preferences >  Defaults > Background color) and my borders are set to the "company" orange (FF7900, REALLY orange).  During normal viewing all is okay.  However, if there's a lag between a published project ending and another loading, I see this gigantic orange box.  Aha!  if I disable my borders, I only see white during a loading transition.  Apparently the borders are filling in the area during preloading?
    I'll submit a feature request.  --Leslie

    In the Layout menu for two photos per page try selecting one of the top two options. That seemed to give me pink borders every time I selected it.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Encore DVD 2.0 on Windows: Composition background color of dynamically linked After Effects projects

    Hello,
    I used Adobe Dynamic Link to import an After Effects project, and I saw that in Encore the background color of a composition is set to black even though it is defined with another value in After Effects.
    I had to open the project in AE and place a solid layer with the desired color behind all other layers.
    What are the causes for this behaviour? Did I do something wrong or is it a bug?
    Best regards,
    Christian Kirchhoff

    The composition background is transparent. It has per se no color and does not react to blendmodes and such. It's imaginable that Encore resets it to black for whatever reason (wouldn't know, as I design my menus always with full frame backgrounds to begin with). Still, I would consider it a bug regardless, so please fiel away:

  • Background Color - RGB Value

    Hello,
    I have embedded a video in this post. I have a FCP background color RGB Value 102, 151, 202. YOu can see the bad results in the video. The text almost starts out gray, then fades into white - which it should just simply fade in.
    If I place the background in Motion - I don't have this issue - but I use Motion for titling.
    Keep in mind, this is simply a test project, not the real project i was working with, but I replicated the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Why can't I change the background color of my UIView in IB?

    I have a rootController which controls several other ***ViewController's and I have been doing the usual thing by changing the background color in IB.  However, for one controller, I cannot change it's background color from the default no matter what I do.
    To be clear, each new controller created has been done in the same manner using the UIViewController subclass with nib file.
    I have cleaned the project and deleted the app from my iPhone countless times and still no change.
    Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    @ KT
    I'm replying to myself because I cannot see your post ??????
    From my email- KT said:
    "Typically, when a same-only different controller acts up like this, the first thing to do is to rewire - sounds like you've gone down that path tho.
    Can you duplicate one of the cooperative controllers, add it to the mix and see if things change there?"
    I've tried all of that several times.  I have no idea.  Maybe some sleep will help it and me.
    Thanks for your comments and suggestions.
    Edit
    As soon as I posted this - your post appeared.  Again??????

  • Can I invoke a SubVI in an event? and how do I set the background color of a pipe to #0000ff?

    When I click an image or a glass pipe(which belongs to Industry/Chesmitry category in palette), I want a SubVI to be invoked.
    The purpose is to fetch an OPC-UA data from a web service and to write to it via the service.
    We are building an HMI solution which displays an interactive water plant diagram.
    When users click pipes and motors in the diagram, clicked devices should be turned on and off and change their animations or colors accordingly.
    OPC-UA is for communication with devices.
    I couldn't even set the background color of a pipe to "#0000ff", but setting it to "Red" or "Blue" was possible, and I don't know how to invoke SubVIs in event scripts.
    The documentations in NI.com are confusing and lack depth.
    Even silverlight references are confusing.
    How do I do all of these?

    Hi iCat,
    Can you provide some more information about your current implementation so that we can help to answer your questions. Some questions I have for you are:
    Are you creating this project in the NI LabVIEW Web UI Builder or in LabVIEW?
    How are you publishing your webservice? Is this also in LabVIEW?
    How is your webservice interacting with an OPC-UA server?
    How is the certification set up with OPC-UA so that you can communicate between the server and the client?

  • How to set background color in a scene?

    I'm new to JavaFX and just started my first FX program.  I created an FX project in NetBeans 7.3 and the project runs properly.   All of the samples in the JavaFX samples download run as well.  But when I try to do something as simple as setting the background color on my first scene to black, I can't get it to work.  I find examples and documentation that tell me that what I am doing should work but it does not.
            Scene scene = new Scene(root, 300, 250, Color.BLACK);
            scene.setFill(Color.BLACK);
            primaryStage.initStyle(StageStyle.UNDECORATED);
            primaryStage.setTitle("Hello World!");
            primaryStage.setScene(scene);
    The two bold lines are marked as errors.  Unfortunately, I can't find a way to copy the error popup text in the IDE so I'll summarize.  Both lines are giving errors that say that I gave a Color but a Paint was expected.
    Is there something I am missing? Can it be this hard to set a background color in JavaFX?
    Thanks.

    Hi. Check your imports. You probably have
    import java.awt.Color;
    instead of
    import javafx.scene.paint.Color;

  • How do I change the background color in footage?

    I'd like to change my background color in avi footage. After importing the footage, what do I have to do? I'd like to 'visually disconnect' the set of gears from the background in my website: www.gwaschoenmakers.nl and am using Premiere Pro CC

    I'd go back to the original project that created the video and redo the work there.

  • Master slide background color

    When I select the master slide on the far left (the slightly bigger one), and I deselect "project background" and change the "stage:" to a different color, nothing happens.  I am trying to use the solid color (paint can) and I put in my choice of Hex color (005983).  When I try the same thing on the individual master slides to the right, I also get nothing.  I even changed the Edit>Preferences>Defaults>Background color to the same color.  And I get nothing.
    I can (and have) put other things (logo, color bar) on the Master slide, and it propigates to the right on the other slides.  What am I missing?

    There are objects on the main master slide, they are not merged into the background. Yes, you can set the stage color for a normal slide as well:
    What do you really want to achieve with selecting a blue color for the main master slide? It will not show up because you have objects on that slide that cover the stage color.
    I know, documentation is not very helpful. I have been writing a lot about Captivate to provide some clues, but not about master slides. It is a lot of work to write out documentation and I'm offering everything for free. Same with answers here, where Rod and Rick are also spending many hours trying to provide answers.
    Depending on the theme you started with, there can be a project background. You used the white theme. That background will always show up on the main master slide, even when you uncheck Project background. If you want not to see that Project background on a normal slide, but a full blue color, you have to unselect Use Master Slide Background, then unselect Project Background (is dimmed as long as you use Master Slide Background) and then you can use a stage color. Those settings I show in the screenshot.

  • Background color on XML form

    Hi,
    I've created a 20x20 image of the background color I want, upload it to KM, and then use that in the Background Image parameter of the XML form. (the Background Repeat Mode is set to Repeat.)
    It doesn't seem to work .any idea why ?
    Regards,
    Hadar

    Hi Hadar,
    You want to set a background image for the Show form
    1.Select the Show form by clicking on the root node in the tree view.
    2.Enter the address of the background image into the property background-image.
    You have the following options:
    • You can enter the URL of an image file.
    • You can enter the parameter %imagepath% followed by the file name.
    The parameter %imagepath% references a cross-project folder for images.
    To define this folder, choose Global Options from the XML Forms Builder, and enter the complete path to a folder in a KM repository (for example, /documents/Globalimages) into the field Global Path for Images.
    3.Choose the value repeat for the property background-repeat so that the image is repeated over the entire background.

    Within the forms builder you can get a white background by setting the form to either "border" or "no border".  This is done by clicking anywhere on the form (where there is no other element) and modifying the "style" property
    You can modify the portal theme so that the background colour is your choice.  However this will affect all forms in the portal, not just this one.
    Or you can manually modify the form XSL stylesheet.  This involves typing the html code to apply your chosen colour.  However, this modification is lost if you re-generate the XML forms project, so this should be a last resort.
    Hope this helps,
    Chris

  • Cell background colors are not showing in preview - help? - DW4

    Hi,
    I created a horizontal table for my menu bar, and gave each cell a different color by creating a separate class for each with background image - image is a block of color created in Photoshop. In design mode they look they way I want, but in preview (Safari) the colors don't show up at all - the whole area is gray, and all I see is the text for each cell. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Alternatively, is there a better way I can set this up to have different colors for each button?
    Thank you!

    Here is the HTML code, and the CSS code for the menu bar follows:
         ul.MenuBarHorizontal
    ></style><style type="text/css"><!body {     background-color: #FFF;     font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;}-->
        h1.
         ul.MenuBarVertical

    NEED to see the code.
    Otherwise it's like dialing a random phone number, and asking whoever answers, where you left your keys.
