Background creation with photo attached of examples. Need advice!

I have been trying to figure this out for the life of me and have come to a road block with it. I have seen it done on numerous occasions by one person who states they are doing it in Elements, but will not give me an answer as to how they are doing it. I am very comfortable with PS CS6 and am by no means a novice with it. I consider myself at least at the intermediate or above level with PS. What I am trying to do is extend my backgrounds without stretching them and having them looked like they have been stretched. If you understand what I am getting at. The photos below represent what I am talking about. The first image is the original image 1024 x 768 and the second image 744 x 1392 is the image that was created from the first image. The background in the second image was created from the first image and for the life of me I have been unable to figure out how. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

If you purchased about 2 years ago new I am sure it is a Intel iMac. To find out what type of iMac you have just click on the Apple menu item in the finder and select about this Mac. I would check the ISP mail site and get the correct outgoing mail server info.

Hello, i opened an email with photo attachment, it is still trying to download and has blocked my ipad2. I foolishly turned it off and now can`t turn it on as it just shows the spinning circle icon 0 help- novice user here

Help< I opened an email with photo attachements and it is taking all day to download, I cant delete it, it just stops mail from working. Everything else was fine till i thought turning off the ipad and trying again would work. It didn`t, I cant turn it on at all - itjust shows the spinning wheel (loading?) icon and nothing else. Being a novice and ive only had this for a couple of weeks i need help!

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Hidden Photo attaching to ALL emails end with photos attached

Hi. Every time I send an email with photos attached, an additional photo (always the same one) always attaches itself, too. You cannot see it as an attachment at the bottom of the email, however, when the recipient opens the pictures and clicks to view the next photo, etc., this one particular photo always shows up at the end. I can no longer send business related photos, because this personal family photo always attaches itself. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Can you see this hidden photo in the catalog? Try attaching a tag to this photo and a different tag(Tag2) to the photos you want to send. Search for the 2nd tag(tag 2) and when the results are displayed, select all these photos and send an email to yourself to see if the hidden photo is still getting attached. This should not be happening but please see if the above steps make any difference.

Problems with photos attached to a mail

Normally a photo attached to a mail arrives at the addressee as a separate file which can be detached and stored separately.
Since a couple of days it does not work this way, when I use the Apple mail program to send messages from my iMac (OSX 10.5.3). Now they are embedded into the mail as very large pictures. I think there must be something wrong with the settings of mail.
Does anybody know what I can do in order to get back the "normal" state?

nochmals danke für den Tip. Es hat funktioniert. Aber normal ist das nicht. Ich vermute der Bug ist hineinoperiert worden beim Fixing eines anderen Bugs, auf den ich schon vor über einem halben Jahr in diesem Forum aufmerksam machte: seit 10.5.1 oder 10.5.2 (die kamen ja beide sehr schnell hintereinander) konnte man nicht mehr zeitgesteuert (aus den Systemeinstellungen, Energie sparen) den Ruhezustand der Festplatte anfahren. Ich habe elend lange herumexperimentiert, um herauszufinden, ob der Fehler eventuell bei meinen Macs lag. Die Ratschläge, die ich aus dem Forum bekam, waren allesamt Blödsinn. Und Apple sitzt offenbar auf einem so hohen Ross, dass die es nicht für nötig hielten, auf meinen Hilferuf im Forum zu reagieren. Gelesen hat es wohl doch einer von denen, denn als ich im Zuge dieses Schriftverkehrs aus meinem Unmut heraus eine entsprechende Bemerkung loließ, war da sofort einer, dem der Schuh offenbar passte. Der fühlte sich nämlich befleißigt, mich darüber aufzuklären, dass das Forum der Hilfe von User zu User diene und die Apple-Leute in der Regel die Beiträge nicht lesen würden. Zum Abschluss des Posts (mit 10.5.3 war der Bug nämlich behoben, und in einer Notiz im Kleingedruckten vor dem Herunterladen des updates stand ein Hinweis, dass ein Fehler im Mailprogramm daran schuld war) habe ich dann nochmal einen Hieb auf Apple ausgeteilt, und gleich war der selbe zur Stelle, um sein Statement (s. oben) zu wiederholen.
Es wäre doch schön, wenn die mal zugeben könnten, dass hier ein Fehler von Apple vorlag, bevor man wie doof im eigenen Kram nach möglichen Fehlern sucht.
Eine Hotline zur Meldung von Bugs habe ich bei Apple bisher vergeblich gesucht.
Sogar Microsoft hat so was...
(Hoffentlich hat das jetzt auch einer von denen gelesen - und verstanden!)

TestStand with perl and Tcl examples need newer dlls

I'm trying to run the TestStand with perl and tcl examples but they both point to older dlls. When I try to update by making changes and recompiling the main.cpp in VC++ 6.0, I get errors referencing cl.exe and oleauto.h, I'm not sure if I missed a step or what. See attached screenshot. TIA. Hey Judy,
From my understanding oleauto.h and cl.exe are not National Instruments files. My suggestion would be to google the files - I found a bunch of hits for both the files. It may also be helpful to post on a discussion forum dedicated to VC++ 6.0. You may want to try the Microsoft newsgroups or I'm sure there are tons of other online.
I hope this helps! Once you compile the dll if you have problems calling it from TestStand please post back.

Need help with Photo attachment

Will try to describe as best I can.
When writing an email and then I want to attach a photo. I click "attach", it opens a window that shows "Desktop, Applications,Picutures, Documents etc.". When I go to the Pictures, then IPHOTO it does not open any Events or photos at all. I can go to IPHOTO and cut and paste onto the email but I would like to attach from that window on Mail. Something like attaching a document. When I open Documents, it opens all m folders and documents that are availble to attach. Thanks

This is due to the iPhoto Library being shown as one single file in the Finder. If you really want to use this attach-method you have to save the photo somewhere else (i.e. your Desktop) first. To do this open iPhoto and drag the desired image to the Desktop. You can then drag it into your mail compose window or use the attach button in Mail. You can use the Mail icon inside iPhoto to save a few steps, too. Here's another one: Simply drag a photo from anywhere onto the Mail icon in the Dock.

You need a BB data plan on the device and you need to set up your own email on it.

Cannot send mail with photo attachment

I took a photo with the iphone camera and tried to send to someone with email. The email does not appear in drafts and there is not an outbox. The iphone says sending message 1 but is not sending. How can I delete the email and how is this happening?

There could be an error in the mail app contacting your outgoing SMTP. You can force close the mail app, hold the power button down until you see the slider bar, then press the home button, until you return to the home screen. I've read where people are then putting the iPhone in airplane mode, entering the mail application and you should find the offending mail. You can delete it then.
Another option I've used when I've had a problem is to reboot the phone, Home and power button until you see the Apple logo. Once the iPhone reboots, enter the mail app and the mail usually will send. You shouldn't need to worry about the photo, since it is in the camera roll.

Cannot IM with photo attached iPhone 4

Hello...
I have iPhone 4 with latest updates. In fact, just did a Restore just for drill.
Thing is, I cannot include a photo in an IM. Not from my phone's "camera roll" or one I take at the time.
I get the "exclamation point" next to it and the "try again" error message. I get this both with WiFi and 3G
Can someone help me out on this? Could it be a setting in the background I have turned off in error?

HT1229 iPhoto 6 and 8 with photos on two macs need merged

I've got iPhoto 6 on my iMac and iPhoto 8 on my Macbook, and want to move the newer Macbook photos into the old iMac library, which is set up with time machine to back up. Any way to do this without destroying the exisiting old iMac library?

Try use iPhoto Library Manager to move the images from one to the other. You can do a trial without paying to be sure it works.

How do I set up a wirelss music system with a MacBook Pro? Need advice on what to use: Bluetooth or AirPort. I don't have speakers yet. I listen mostly to classical music. Any advice on what kind of speakers?

I live in a small apartment and would like speakers in the bedroom and the living room. I like the "all-in-one" units. Would two of these sound better than one in the living room? I have a wireless modem from my phone company, but I have not hooked it up yet. What is AirPort and is it necessary to do what I want to do?

If your goal is to have a "whole home" audio experience, then using separate speakers in both the living room and bedroom would the proper approach.
If you decide to go the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) route, then you would need a minimum of two of these devices; one each for each room. The AX is a wireless Internet router with built-in audio. The AX's audio port supports both analog and digital optical audio output and will work with either self-powered speakers or an audio receiver that supports either connection type.
Classical music has very fine dynamics and, of course, the better the speaker, the better the sound reproduction. However, you don't need to go overboard as the AX is limited to the audio files that iTunes can play.
