Background displaying between main content and footer

Hi guys, I have a bit of a strange one to ask, with a discrepancy between what I am seeing on my website (online), compared to viewing my pages in Dreamweaver.  OK, here goes.. online, the footer shows up fine, being directly underneath the main content (with nothing displaying between the footer and the main content) - however when I look at the same pages in Dreamweaver (CC), it shows a very large amount of the purplish background situated directly between the main content and the footer, and taking up an area around 4 times the height of the main content of the page (which basically makes the page 4 times bigger than it needs to be, in Dreamweaver).    I hope that description makes sense - so basically (as I scroll down the page in Dreamweaver), firstly I have the main content (taking up 20% of the total height of the page), then below that, the mystical blank area of background color (taking up  maybe around 79% of the total height), and then below that, right at the bottom, the footer (say, 1% of the total height).   Yet when I view the web pages online, the footer is sitting snugly below the main content, exactly where it is meant to be - which I guess is the important thing, but I am worried that Google will see the issue as some kind of page error, so I would prefer to fix it if I can.    Here is a typical page where the issue exists - http://www.mindtraining.net/dreamweaver/motivational-info/index.php  I have a feeling it might have something to do with the vertical blue strip I have on the right hand side of each page, as the only page where the issue doesn't exist is the homepage at http://www.mindtraining.net/dreamweaver - which doesn't have the blue strip.  Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.  Many thanks, Craig T

Both links are going to the same page.  So they are identical.

  • What exactly is the diff between main window and variable window

what exactly is the diff between main window and variable window in SAP script?

    hi,
MAIN WINDOW :- In a main window you display text and data, which can cover several pages (flow text). As soon as a main window is completely filled with text and data, the system continues displaying the text in the main window of the next page. It automatically triggers the page break.
You can define only have one window in a form as main window.
The main window must have the same width on each page, but can differ in height.
A page without main window must not call itself as next page, since this would trigger an endless loop. In such a case, the system automatically terminates after three pages.
VARIABLE WINDOW :- The contents of variable windows is processed again for each page, on which the window appears. The system outputs only as much text as fits into the window. Text exceeding the window size is truncated; the system does not trigger a page break. Unlike constant windows, the page windows declared as variable windows may have different sizes on different form pages.
As far as the processing of the window contents is concerned, the system currently treats constant and variable windows alike. The only difference is that constant windows have the same size throughout the form.
    hope this will be useful.
    If useful then reward points.

    Syed

  • Smartform Main window and Footer Overlap Issue

    Hi,
I have a problem in printing my invoice smartform.
I have to print the footer at the bottom of the main window. If the line items flow to the next page the footer should be printed only on the last page.
I have overlapped the main window and footer windows in first and next page so that the footer window space in the main window is not left empty when there are more than one pages
The problem is sometimes the main window is overlapping into the footer window space.
Can someone suggest a solution for this.
    Thanks,
    Viswas

    Hi,
Solution: The issue faced after overlapping the main window with footer window can be achieved by creating a folder within the main window and using the events to check whether there is enough space to print the footer.
    Following are the steps.
Step 1:  Create a Secondary window say “Footer” which would be the footer window. Overlap the main window on the footer window as shown below.
The footer window will be behind the main window
Step 2:  Create a folder within the main window say “Check_Footer”.
Go to Tab “Events”, select the checkbox “Footer with Height” and give the required height of the footer. Select the checkbox “at End of Table”. Specify the “Minimum height” as required.
Now, go to “Conditions” tab and select the checkbox “Only before end of main window”.
This is basically done to check whether there is enough space to print the footer on that page. The Footer window would then print the output.
Step 3: Go to the created “Footer” window .Under the Conditions tab, select the checkbox “Only after end of main window”. Create a  text/tamplate/window whatever you want to display at bottom or footer data.
Step 4: Save & Activate the Smartform and check the output.

  • Difference between Target Content and Homepage Pagelet

    Hello All,
I am new to PS Portal Structure. Currently I am using PS HRMS 9.0 and PT - 8.49. what is the difference between Target Content and Homepage Pagelet?
    Thanks!

PeopleSoft Portal use the 2-3 column layout to display pagelet on the homepage, for homepage pagelet, it just used to presents informaiton on the homepage.
For target content, PS spide the window by 2 columns, the left is the PeopleSoft Menu Navigation, the right panel is used to display the menu item related target content.
Target content is the PeopleSoft standard page/component, but pagelet can created from many sources, HTML, Query, Rowset, ..., and it also can create from page/component.

  • No header, main area and footer in smartforms while creating table in 4.6c

    Hi Experts,
Iam working in SAP 4.6c version and iam creating smartform for domestic invoice, in smartform i have created table but when expand the table its not giving the option of Header, Main Area and footer, can anyone explain how i can get the above details.. pls reply ASAP as its very important.
    Thanks in advance,
    Abhishek Pandey.

    Hi,
I had faced a similar situation in 4.6c.
As clearly stated, you get the Header and Footer from Events.
The Window defined under Page, should have
Main window checked in it's General Attributes
I guess that should get hold of your problem.
    Cheers,
    Remi

  • Does anyone know if there is any difference at all in the display between the 4 and the 4s.  I use my 4 with no problems but have issues with the 5 - makes me feel ill.  Any help appreciated before I make an expensive mistake

Can anyone tell me if there is any difference at all in the display between the 4 and 4s.  It appears they are the same from the specs but I dont want to make an expensive mistake.  I can use the 4 with no problems but the 5 makes me feel ill and I am hoping I can upgrade to a 4s with no issues. Any help appreciated.

In a technical sense, the differences between the displays on the iPhone 4 vs 4s are vast.  I'm mean, they are both attached to 70 - 90% of the internal components and far from interchangeable.  There are no differences however, that are noticeable by the user.

  • Difference between BI content and HANA optimized BI content ?

    Hi to all,
Is BW is already have HANA database, what is difference between BI content and HANA optimized BI content.
Can any one explain in general term, I have already gone with SAP HELP but, cant grab more of it.
Does we have HANA optimized BI Content only for DS and FI only.
    Regards
    Pavneet Rana

    Hi Pavanet,
you can find more info on the SAP HANA-optimized BI Content and the supported areas following this link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw74/helpdata/en/28/a1065182d3c557e10000000a44176d/frameset.htm
The SAP HANA-optimized content does contain physical InfoProviders and adheres to the LSA++ architecture paradigm as to reduce persistencies where possible and if it makes sense. One purpose is to provide a guidance of data modelling in the SAP BW on HANA case making use of recent SAP BW features.
For the near future a switch to the recent BW Infoproviders (advanced) DSO and CompositeProvider is planned.
    best regards,

  • How do I clear the blank space between content and footer?

In the process of revising a Muse website, I deleted some content from one of the pages and revised the content that remained on the page. Now I have a blank area between the bottom of the revised content and the top of the footer, and I can't seem to get rid of the blank space. It doesn't appear that there are any text blocks or other images in that area, so I can't find any objects to delete. Help?
The website is currently published in a draft mode for client review. You can examine it at: http://page7creative.com/clients/coremove_jun2012draft/retreats.html. The page in question is the Retreats page. Restarting Muse made no difference. I work on the Mac platform.
Before I sent this post, I decided to try creating a new page, then copy/paste the content onto the new page, and save the Muse site under a different name. Lo and behold, the page (and the site) works like it should...without any extra space above the footer on that page. It would appear that something went astray when I deleted content on that page. I can use the new page to get the site working properly, but decided to go ahead and send this post so that you can look at the page code and perhaps see what is wrong that is causing the blank space...in case I ever run into this again.
    Thank you.
    pyxis83

    Thanks for sending your file.
There is a graphic at the bottom of the content area of the Retreats page that's been cropped to a size of zero width and 2 pixels in width.
Unfortunately, there's a bug with pointer tool drag selection (aka marque selection) that prevents it from selecting an item that has zero width or zero height. Therefore the easiest way to select this item to delete it is to select any other item on the page, then hit the tab key repeatedly to cycle through every item on the page. When you get to this item you should see a little pile of selection handles at the left edge of the third column and right at the bottom of the content area. The width and height will display as zero and 2. Delete this item and the page will resize to fit the remaining content.

  • Porblem in displaying the data in main window and footer in sapscript

    Hi Friends,
I have created a 2 pages with a main window and 6 footer windows for purchase requistion printout. My requirement is footer windows should only be displayed at the last page. If i bring the footer window at the last page there is blank space in all pages after the main window since the main window size is smaill, if i increase the main window size it is overlaping footer windows at the last  page.
I want the main window shouldbe big and footer should be displayed at the last page.
please hellp me to solve this.
    Thanks
    Gayathri S

If you want to position footer texts right after the last line of the MAIN data (thus, anywhere in the page), you define them as text nodes inside the MAIN window, and you use a template node if you wan't to position them precisely.
If you want to position footer texts relatively to the page edges (and not relatively to the MAIN), do like this (as my previous answer is wrong):
    - define your footer windows in the same page of the MAIN, select condition "Only after main window" (so that the windows will be printed on the page of the last line of the MAIN data.
    - If the footer windows span over the MAIN window (because you want to maximize MAIN window height on all pages except last where you put the footer, as it was the case for Gayathri), you must add a template node inside the MAIN window, as the last element. Its height must be equal to the part of MAIN that is overriden by the footer windows, so that a new page is triggered automatically if there is no sufficient space and the footer windows will be printed on next page, and if there is enough space, the footer windows will be printed at the bottom of current page.

  • White space issues between content and footer.

I am having white space/page length issue between the end of my content and the footer.
I have read the forums and tried changing the page length minium height to 800 and then I
unchecked the sticky footer in page properties on both the master page and the content page itself.
Here's a link to one of my pages.  http://www.ueonline.com/rohs-info.html
This page has very little content and you can see the white space.
    Any help is appreciated.

This may be a little dated for a reply, and I'm not 100% sure your issue is the same as mine, but I discovered that unchecking the sticky footer option in site properties solved the problem. I should note that the website I was building for a client was über simple, and while disabling that function solved the headache in my own project, it may incur unwanted results in others, depending on the complexity.

  • Published site has huge gap between content and footer

So i have just published my site and when i look at it after being published i have a good 2 inch gap between the bottom of the content and the footer.
I have read up on a number of bits and pieces and they say you mauy have a hidden container on the pages, which i totally accepted so i searched and nothing. I then thought it might be a issue with the master page i was using, so checked that. Couldnt see it.
However when i looked through my site and saw the master pages i used i had a mix and some worked and some didnt. Im lost!!!
I launch on Sat and its a bit of a pain. Has anyone had this issue? The preivew looks fine, so im not sure where this gap is coming from.
    Thanks in advance!

When Sticky Footer is checked, the footer will stick to the bottom of the browser window unless the page is taller than the browser window.
Glad that I could be of help.

    Sachin

  • Keeping a Consitent Gap between Content and Footer.

    Hi !
I spent a couple of days trying to solve how to regulate the space between body and footer on a MUSE-project. I think it‘s worth dropping a few line for humankind.
We’re on a master-page. Let’s say our standard page has the following properties:
The Footer-marker is set to y: 500 px
The Bottom_of_Page-marker is set to y: 650 px
The Bottom_of_Browser-marker is set to y: 680 px
These settings mean, you have 150 px height-space for the Footer, starting from y: 500 px.
If you require more space for the Footer, it’s the Bottom_of_Page-marker you’ll have to drag down ( not the Footer-marker ! ).
If you’d like to add a gap, so your Footer is not directly sticking to the Content of the page anymore, but you’d rather like to preserve some space between both, you’ll have to drag down only your Footer-elements a little bit, e. g. down to y: 520 px. So, in a way, the 20 px gap created is part of the Footer. No changes must occur to the Footer-marker, at least for this reason. You’ll only eventually drag the Bottom_of_Page-marker down, in case Gap-height + Footer-height require more space than already available (depending on your figures).
    Cheers
    G

Sanjit, I didn't make any changes to the master at all. It was fine online, then I opened it to make a small type change and it was like this, and I can't get it back to where it was.
I tried adjusting the footer, but the slideshow is not on the home master page, just the bottom brown part and the type in it.
I don't know what could have caused it to change from before to now? I haven't touched the file in months.

  • Share cinema display between Mac Mini and MacBook Pro

    Hello -
I am keen to get an LED cinema display to use on my new MacBook Pro - but I share my study with my children - so want to give them a MacMini to use.
How easy is it two swap between the MacMini and the MacBook Pro ? I guess there is only one input in the LED cinema display ???
    Thanks in advance.
    Andrew

Interesting - I have the same idea: sharing a 24" cinema display between a Macbook Pro for myself and a Mac mini for my wife.
The only problem I see is that the display doesn't have any Firewire ports. So if I want to use an external harddrive (or a mini-DV camcorder) on both computers when connected to the display, then I'd have to plug that into the computer instead of the display ...

  • Pass messages between main thread and FX application thread

I'm launching an FX Application thread from a Main thread using Application.launch [outlined here: {thread:id=2530636}]
I'm trying to have the Aplication thread return information to the Main thread, but Application.launch returns void. Is there an easy way to communicate between the Main thread and the Application thread?
So far I have googled and found:
    - MOM (Message Orientated Middleware)
    - Sockets
Any thoughts/ideas/examples are appreciated - especially examples ;) - right now I am looking at using Sockets to show/hide the application and for passing data.
What is the preferred method? Are there others which I have not found (gasp) via Google?
    Dave.

Is there an easy way to get a reference to these objects from both the Main thread and the FX Application thread - called via Application.launch() from the Main thread? Or do I have to use Sockets or MOM?Not much to do with concurrent programming is what I would call easy. It seems easy - but it's not.
You can kind of do what you are describing using Java concurrency constructs without using sockets or some Message Oriented Middleware (MOM) package.
With the Java concurrency stuff you are really implementing your own form or lightweight MOM.
If you have quite a complex application with lots of messages going back and forth then some kind of MOM package such as camel or ActiveMQ (http://camel.apache.org) is useful.
You can find a sample of various thread interactions with JavaFX here:
https://gist.github.com/jewelsea/5500981 "Simulation of dragons eating dwarves using multiple threads"
Linked code is just demo-ware to try out different concurrency facilities and not necessarily a recommended strategy.
If your curious, you could take a look at it and try to work out what it is, what it does and how it does it.
The main pattern followed is that from a blocking queue:
    http://docs.oracle.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/concurrent/BlockingQueue.html
Note that once you call launch from the main thread, no subsequent statements in the main method will be run until the JavaFX application shuts down. So you can't really launch from the main thread and communicate with a JavaFX app from the main thread. Instead you need to spawn another thread (or set of threads) for communication with the JavaFX app.
But really, in most cases, the best solution with concurrency is not to deal with it at all (or at least as little as possible). Write everything in JavaFX, use the JavaFX animation framework for timing related stuff and use the JavaFX concurrency utilities for times when you really need multiple thread interaction.
    http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/threads/jfxpub-threads.htm
To get further help, you might be better off describing exactly (i.e. really specific) what you are trying to do in a new question, perhaps with a sample solution in an sscce http://sscce.org
