Background for email
I keep receiving emails from PC users that have fun backgrounds, such as snowflakes, leaves, or stripes. Does Apple offer anything like that, or just the option of changing colors. The stationery choices are specific to an occasion. I am looking for something a little less obtrusive.

I succeed in creating my custom stationery.
But I still have a problem to fix.
All of the image that make up my stationery will show nicely and properly to the receiver, fine, but the images are also shown as files attached (ie the get the idea that the message have attachments).
I have looked at lots of html email I receive, like most of us, from newsletters and although the messages are filled with all sort of graphics they don't show any little staple meaning they have attachments. Hints?
I have tried even the pre-build stationeries and even using those your message will show like if it has attachments for the graphics used in the stationery.
I hope to have made it clear.

Is a script available to set a default background for email messages?
I am new to the community, not to Mac though. Currently I am on a new MacBook Air, Lion installed.
I had a couple of minor issues about mail, the first I solved myself using automator, and succeding in sending an attachment file from finder. It went on working also after the upgrade from snow leopard to lion.
I could not find out how to set a specific default background for new email messages (e.g. a color, or a certain template); I do not want to do it everytime for each message. I tried automator, the workflows runs ok, tried to save it as service for mail and for finder but it did not catch; as application it works, but veeeery slow.
When I pull down the mail window, the Services line says "no services available".
Anyone who worked on this?

How to run GR55 reports in background for cost center hierarchies
1. I have been asked by our users to create batch jobs to run in the background for some GR55 reports, that can then be sent directly to cost center managers via email.
I have figured out the process to do this as long as the cost center manager only needs to see a single cost center at a time. However, if they are in charge of multiple cost centers, we also want to send them a summarized report using the hierarchy we have set up. I can't seem to make this work, as the job only seem to recognize the last cost center in the group and the report is for that cost center.
Example. cost centers 100, 200 and 300 belong to hierarchy abc. If I run the job just for cost center 100 it is fine. But if I have a variant to run hierarchy abc, or even if I use the range 100 to 300, all I get is a report for cost center 300.
We cannot use BW because we only have revenue in BW. I am being asked to make this work from standard R/3 within the GR55 realm of reporting.
2. In addition, the report selection criteria includes two separate plan/forecast versions. They need to update these each month prior to running the reports and sending them out. I looked at the variables associated with the versions and tried to set them up with default values that I hoped would update automatically so that they don't have to manually change 50 or so variants each month. But I don't see any dynamic variables that I can use to have the system make that change without going into each variant individually.
3. There is another piece to this equation as well. There is another report they want sent out in batch, but it is several pages wide in SAP and several pages long. So when you run it in batch and either spool it or get it sent as an email, it is very ugly in the formatting due to all the page splits horizontally and vertically. If anyone knows how to get the report to stay together like it would if you had excel integration turned on, it would be very helpful. I have tried running it with that integration turned on, but the jobs are set up with user batch_mgr and not my id, so it isn't working well. The batch_mgr id is just a system id, not a dialog id. We also don't want the jobs set up with a regular user id because if people leave, then the jobs all need to be changed.Kim,
I may have options for issues 1 and 2. In case of 3, what I can tell you is I understand the concern, but this is what typically happens in some standard CO reports that are not ALV compatible, I don't think there is not much there to do unless you add some custom code for the output.
In regards to point 1, yes, I have noticed that this happens in some standard and custom reporting, not sure what is going on. I came up with a work around that made the trick for my client in a similar scenario; which is editing the cost center groups. For instance, instead of having the group set as a range from 100 to 300, the groups are have listed the cost centers, 100, 200 and 300. Obviously, the disadvantage of this option is that it would require a bit of more cost center group maintenance.
In regards to point 2, I understand from your note that your users already have set up selection variants for the report. One option for you is to get the help from a developer to create a custom period variable and tiny program that runs in batch every month that would update that variable accordingly. Once that's done, you may have to update at least once, the selection variant attributes to change the period to a selection variable, so everytime from that point of time forward that the variable gets updated, it will be ready with the right value for every selection variant that uses it.

The important thing here is:
background-position:top center;
this will center the background horizontally.
But this is just the beginning, because if your background
gets centered, your content will be off,
since your content is not centered (it's in a Layer). Using a
background for page layout is a bad
idea anyways. For example if I increase the text size in my
browser preferences, your text content
goes beyind the bottom limit of your background.
So in short
background image as layout: bad idea
using Layers: bad idea
I suggest you study css and html a little bit, don't use
Layers, use regular divs and tables, use
Design view (no layout view) and look at your code as much as
possible as you go and experiement.

How can I use an image as background for the entire page?
With CSS mill, the solid color was defined in the color.X.property file and there is no place to define an image to use as the background? Is it doable to use an image as the background for teh entire page? If so, where to add it and how to implement? Thank you!

All my dock settings, background pic, email setup is lost when restarted
I had my computer customized to my preferences such as dock on left side, choosen background pic, i used entourage for email, etc.....i went into finder and under the user name (which has the house icon) i simply changed the name and when i rebooted my computer, all my settings got lost and it was like i was entering tiger for the first time, everything went back to original setting like when u first install tiger. the dock is at the bottom and every program i open has the user agreement like i have never used the program. itunes doesnt have any of my songs on there. when i click on the name that i changed in the finder, i find a subfolder with all my songs and settings but i dont know how to access them or reimplement them.....any suggestions? all my files are still somewhere on the computer since it says my memory is mostly used
I f you changed the short user name in the finder that is a dangerous thing to do. See this document : How to change user short name or home directory name. If you notice this is recommended for advanced users only.
You might be able to recover if you change it back to the original. An easier way is to use ChangeShortName. Please be sure to read the entire insructions. I can't guarantee this will work, but have read good comments on this utility. Good luck. -

Steps for Email integration in sap crm system?

Please guide me the steps for email integration so that the emails are in syn with the WEB UI Interaction centre.Settings at the backend GUI are already defined.Actually in my case the Development system is not integrated with Email sync in WEB UI.I need to test the email functionality in Development system as steps I have followed are as below:
1)TCode :- SBWP,then I have created a mail & send it to email address which is defined in the SO28
2)TCode :- SOST,there I have clicked on my test mail,select it & click on execute button,green light appears & shows the message that the email is successfully forwarded.
Now when I open Web Ui,select my business role & then I go to inbox in the Navigation Bar,select email & click on search.Then it does not appear anything & shows search result zero.
Kindly suggest me the steps so that I can see my test email in Dev system Web Ui business role .

Type Column for Email is not coming in Business context
Hi All,
I have enhanced the component ICCMP_BT_BCXT.
I am able to get the required values in business context.
I get hyperlinks in the TYPE column for customer follow-up/interaction record.
But when email is sent then TYPE column does not show the hyperlink as Email.
Other details like key/description are occuring for email.
Any pointers on how to get the hyperlink for Email.

by default when you get the hyperlink for interations record/followup document, its logical because on click on this hyperlink, system takes you to the interaction record/Followup document that is linked.
If you set it to email, and if we provide hyperlink to it, where should it navigate on click of the hyperlink ?
Its very easy to provide the hyperlink however it is very important to know what is required on click of the hyperlink, to give the right design .

I have an apple iphone 4gs... It is synced with my outlook exchange in the office. If I do a search for emails that also checks the server then all of a sudden I end up with various amounts unread email with the inbox saying "Inbox 71" ..which is not true. The only way to make the inbox on the iphone back to 0 is to delete the account then re install it.

When I try to open an .ai/pdf file received through my email, it won't open and asks for a password. I have never set up any kind of password for email security, but have tried typing in my standard passwords. Nothing works. I wonder if it has anything to do with the use of my Wacom3 Tablet...I've been having trouble with it and was getting the same message when trying to open the User's Manual in my Applications/WacomTablet file on my hard drive. Any suggestions? I just downloaded the latest version for the Wacom and recently upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.7 (which I hate, and my CS3 hates, etc.)
It sounds like you have a a password-protected PDF. The password was set by the person who encoded it.
