Hi All ,
i got the following error ,
when i try to customize the SWU3 " Schedule background job for dead line monitoring ".
The error is :
"Work item -: Background job SWFSLSDLEX cannot be scheduled (error )"
And the Error log says :
Refer to your workflow system administrator.
The specified error number should indicate possible reasons for the error. It is possible that the system is in an inconsistent state. The scheduled start of the specified background job must be compared with the minimum date/time of all work items in table SWWDHMIN. It may be necessary to delete the scheduled background job by hand and reschedule it by calling report RSWWDHEX.
Apparently i dont see any table SWWDHMIN.

The issue is solved by adding start profile and instance profile to operation modes.

But why would you want to do this? As a test?

BPM - Background Job for Reorganization = Not Scheduled

Good afternoon, first of all thank you very much for the support they can provide. I have developed a JDBC interface -> BPM (Multimapping) which works well. Modify a Message Mapping in the BPM that I use for an RFC Lookup, I have added the Configurable Parameters in the BPM and Integration Directory and everything works fine at design time. But when running the interface at run time the message reaches the BPM and the error "error in BPE inbound Permanent processing".
I have reviewed the Business Process Engine in the RWB and the item is Red Schedule Background Job for Reorganization and detail reads: "Background Job for Reorganization = Not Scheduled".
As I can solve this problem. Thank you very much.

Background Job in COGI(REM Backflush error handling)

Hi Everyone.
I have one question.
Our company use REM Backflush .
And Our REM profile setting is next.
- Use GI Backflush at GR posting
- Don't use report point backflush
- Create cumulated and individual postprocessing record
In this circumstance, we use T-code COGI to process backflush error.
When I execute the COGI in online, There is no problem

Actually you should use
Transaction MF47
Program RMSERI11, for post process record.
For post processing , manually entry like storage location and Batch number(if batch management is enabled) is required , if the post process record is created according to this error.
And hence it is not possible to correct all the records by background job.

Background job failing with license check error

In our ERP 6.0 system ,all the background jobs are failing with license check error.
Have checked the license in SLICENSE and the license is fine.
There is no warning while users are loggign in ,but when any background job is runing its failing with error

In SLICENSe the Hardware key field is not BLUE or BLACK and its showing the exact hardware key which i can see at OS level with saplicense -get command.

Note is good refrence, i reiinstalled the Digitally signed license with saplikey command and it was successful.
But still the license test is failing at OS Level..below is the command prompt output.

The hardware key was changed and we requested a new license with new hardware key,system was runing fine for couple of weeks with all background jiobs for SPAM./SAINT Ok .We performed EHP4 on this system.
But now this issue is here,so i guess we should troubleshoot.

Scheduling a background Job with gaps in dates

Hi Experts,
I am having a requirement : A background job has to be scheduled for running a program every 15 minutes and for every month.But this job should not run from date 10th to 15th of every month.For example,In july month Job should start run from 01.07.2014 to 31.07.2014 excluding 10.07.2014 to 15.07.2014.
Can we achieve this without a custom program and using SM36?

Hello Arun,
is it possible to define a factory calendar to you in the system, if you can define one then you can define the 10-15 the of every month as holiday.
We can select the factory calendar above defined in the job. This can be found by clicking on the restrictions button in the start condition screen.
in that start date restrictions, you can find 5 options in those you can pick the do not execute the periodic job on sunday and holidays.
but this will effect the sundays which are falling in 1-10 th & 15-31st of each month, will that be OK ?
if you do not want to try out the above all steps, then you can simply create 2 job running for each month
1st one for 1-10th of every month.
2nd one for 16th to end date.
Let us know in case of any concerns on the same.

SQL error "-911" while running background job

Hi Experts,
We are getting the below runtime error while a background job is run.
SQL error "-911" when accessing table "DD02L".
Error Text of the Database: "SQL0911N The current transaction has been rolled
back because of a deadlock or timeout. Reason code "2". SQLSTATE=40001 row=1"
The error is happening at a delete statement.
Please let me know what might be the reason of this error and how this can be resolved.

Scheduling Background job without any authorization

Hi All,
Here is my requirement.End user will save a material and at the time of SAVE , background job has to be scheduled to run a process.
End user will not have any authorization to schedule the job in background. Is there any way to bypass the AUTHORITY-CHECK of the program. Client will not provide authorization for the end user to schedule job in background.
I thought of giving a user name in the program like below, the user "BATCHUSER" has all the authorization to schedule a job in background. But program fails to by pass the AUTHORITY-CHECK , is there any other way to by pass AUTHORITY-CHECK .
Here is my code.
JOB_OPEN.
SUBMIT 'XXX' USER 'BATCHUSER' VIA JOB v_name NUMBER v_number AND RETURN.
JOB_CLOSE.

Hi,
workflow could be an option. Either transfering the logic into the workflow at all or you can just plan the job in a background step of the workflow. As WF-Batch is runnung with SAP_ALL authorization shouldn't be an issue.
Depending on what application you are in, there could already be a wf-event on save so development effort could be quite low.

Vehicle Scheduling Error:Error when creating transport structures in live C

We have one background job defined for Vehicle scheduling, which shows completed successfully but in log it says that :
: Error when creating transport structures in liveCache and Not possible to schedule shipment in the planning horizon.
My planning horizon is for 90 days from current date and demand horizon is for 30 days.
I have checked the VS profile and i dont find any problem with profile.
Can you please help me in finding what exaclty went wrong

Try This..
1. Open the crystal client on your local machine and import that particular report.
2. Do Database -> Verify Database. Then refresh the report on your PC and make sure that it returns data as expected.
3. Export it back to repository and try scheduling it again. You can verify through CMC for Crystal Reports under " Database Configuration" property to make sure it points to the right ODBC.

GUI_UPLOAD in Background jobs

I have a requirement where in the a text file is received from an external application at the end of each day. This text file has to be picked up by the SAP system and SAP transaction MFBF has to be updated. The customer wants this entire process to be done without any user intervention. A background job needs to be scheduled at the end of the day. However the problem is GUI_UPLOAD cannot be used to pick up the text file, because of the Background job. Any suggestions are welcome.

You cant use GUI UPLOAD or DOWNLOAD function in backgroun jıb.

Background Job Result to my Internal ID

            im Defining a Background job in SM36 and scheduling it. After the completion of that job that particular job result has to come to my Internal ID.is it possible?
   Now, ii is generating a Spool request number and going to a Printer.Instead of that SPOOL , i want that Result/Report has to come to my SAP Id.
    what & Where can i do this?

Just a thought.
Is the job creator (you) and the User name of the person running the program (defined in Step in SM36) the same in this case ?
What Im hinting at is, the program inside the job may be run with a different username and HE might not have the authorization. So if you run SU53 from your account, it will not throw up an authorization error, since you are logged in as the you and not the person.
I would check the following if I were you.
1. Is the username of the person running the report/program the same as the one running the job.
2. If they are different, either log in as the user or run a trace on him and find out what he/she is missing.
This sounds like an authorization problem to me too. Also check authorization for S_OC_SEND object.

Frequency of CC background Jobs

Hi,
I am just wondering what is standard practice with regard to the frequency of which background jobs are scheduled in the production CC
1) Upload static text
2) Upload authorization objects
3) Refresh Informer Reports
Also there is a backend sync for mitigation and rules- I have tried to run these but the destination system field does not contain any values. I have searched for information on what these background jobs but cannot find any doucmentation.
If anybody has advice on CC background jobs I would be grateful.

We are running CC 5.1 and after the initial setup we only run three background jobs on the weekends. We do a user, role and profile incremential analysis. We also do a weekly batch risk analysis and then we do a weekly management report to populate the graphs in the mamagement report section.

In ST, found few time out errors while this job is running.
Didnt found errors related to this job (user, twp) in SAM.

it seems the problem is related to timed out issue in the work process
what is the present value of rdisp/max_wprun_time ? check in RZ11 , increase the value of atleast 3600 ( setting zero is maximum value , you can also try and revert back once bgd process completes)

Security Background Jobs

Are there any batch/background jobs that should be scheduled for security purposes? I know of one but this is only if hr structural authorization is implemented but we are not using it.

don't you think an hourly run of rhautupd_new creates only system load w/o real benefit?
If you have a look at the report - its function is to assign profiles for assigned roles to users.
There is a standard job pfcg_time_dependency to be scheduled once a day (at time of low system load!).(->so once a day is the standard...)
So if you change role assignements which start immediately, you normally will start the usercomparison directly in pfcg (on the user-tab) (SU01 will do that automatically upon saving the user). So from this side rhautupd_new ill not bring any benefit, as you have triggered the same functionality manually already.
The only scenario where I can imagine a benefit is, if hr-org is used and there are frequent changes there. But then I would only use the option hr-org-recocouncilation in a special variant of rhautupd_new.
Another variant would be with the option 'Cleanups' only, as this may cause some performance impact and is necessary maybe once a week only, if auth.-transports have been imported.
So for regular (daily) run I would suggest to create some variants with only the options marked, which are really necessary (in general this will be with option 'profile matchup' and maybe 'Composite role Recouncilation' only).
If I have missed a point, what would make an hourly run necessary, please inform me...thx in advance!
