  • Background process zffd terminated due to missing confirmation

    Hi all,
            In production system loading 2500000 lak data load to DSO when try to activate the DSO throwing below error. Kindly guide me on this.
    Error:
    Background process <ZASDFFF> terminated due to missing confirmation
    Thanks

    Hello,
    To resolve this issue, you should make some adjustments to the DataStore
    object parameters, then you should be able to activate the request.
    Please make the following adjustments in transaction RSODSO_SETTINGS
    (you can adjust this for each DataStore object):
    1) Maximum package size (for activation).
        This you should reduce to 10000 (if the value is higher than that)
        Then the package processing will be less time consuming.
    2) Maximum wait time for process (for activation)
        This could be increased to e.g. 600 (if the value is lower than this)
    See SAP note 1118205 for further information.
    Best Regards
    Barry

  • Background process BCTL_** terminated due to missing confirmation

    Hi Experts,
    I have a step in Process chain for activation of a request in DSO. But its failing frequently with error message "Background process BCTL_* terminated due to missing confirmation*". I tried to remove the step from process chain and rebuild it, this avoided the failure for a day. But its failing again at same place.
    Can you please guide if anything can be done to stop this failure in future?

  • Crystal Reports PrintToPrinter - The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception

    Hi,
    I am having a real problem with Crystal Reports in an application built using Visual Studio 2013.
    Sometimes (in fact nearly all the time, but not always) whenever I call PrintToPrinter, I get the following error:-
    Framework Version: v4.0.30319
    Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
    Exception Info: exception code c0000005, exception address 37A9D5DC
    I have two projects that wrap the functionality, one a Windows Service and the other a Console application.
    I will attach a sample of my code, but at the moment I am testing using the console application for testing and this error always terminates the application completely. I have added all sorts of exception handling to try and stop it terminating the app, but to deal with the exception gracefully. Nothing however works, it always terminates the application completely.
    The strange thing is that this only happens when calling PrintToPrinter. If I use export functionality such as ExportToStream, everything is absolutely fine and I don't get any errors.
    The application always works fine on my development machine as well printing to an Epson WF-3540, it just falls over when deployed to the live server.
    The application is developed in Visual Studio 2013.
    It uses .NET Framework 4.5.1.
    The printer that we are printing to that causes the issue is an HP LaserJet P3010 Series PCL 6
    All Crystal Reports For Visual Studio are patched to the latest versions on the live server (13.0.5.891)
    I am at a complete loss and any help or guidance would be very much appreciated.
    A sample of my code is attached
    Many thanks in advance.

  • Crash on quit due to background processes

    Please help, I have a deadline soon. FCPx is crashing every time I quit. It hangs on stopping background processes when I can not see that there are any, and I have them turned off.
    I have done a safe boot, wiped preference, and even created a completely new user on the mac. Nothing helps. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you everyone for your comments and help. We had to push the release back two weeks for many reasons, some of them this issue.
    But I thought my solution would be good to know for people. For the record I was attempting to edit at 4k with imported RED files converted to optimized media. What I didn't realize is that some of those clips were actually shot at 5 or 6k. I think that was one problem in and of itself, so I converted my projects to 1080p. Still got memory errors though.
    So I think what solved the issue was when I flushed the cache by moving it outside the library. I think FCP had crashed while doing background renders from choking on some of the odd clips. I believe that corrupted some of the cache system, and wasn't fixed even when regenerating the cache files.
    So I went to project settings and set the project cache to be outside of my project file in a folder I created. When doing so you are prompted to decide whether or not to move your current cache. I didn't, and this forced it to re-reender all those clips (but not the original optimized or proxy media). This seemed to clear up every problem I was having with Final Cut Running Out of Memory problems. I bet it was the cache, but could have been related to the mixed resolutions.
    So I thought this might helpful to others searching this forum, and thanks again for everyone's help!

  • Asset values cannot be displayed due to missing text

    Hi guru's,
        I am facing the problem while i am displaying the asset values,i am able to create asset through as91 but when i go for awo1n system showing error" Asset values cannot be displayed due to missing"
    help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi Vyas,
       I am getting error like below.
    Asset values cannot be displayed due to missing texts
    Message no. AY363
    Diagnosis
    The values of the selected asset cannot be displayed. Text elements are missing in logon language EN.
    System response
    Processing is terminated.
    Procedure
    First, check if you are logged on in a language that is maintained for this system.
    This error can also occur, if the company code of the selected asset is assigned to a chart of depreciation that is not fully maintained.
    In many cases, the problem can be corrected by re-importing the missing texts from the reference chart of depreciation. You can do this using repair program RACORR14. Refer to SAP note 0773639 for more information.
    Thanks

  • RAC instance won't start: ORA-00443: background process "VKRM" did not star

    I've logged a SR with Oracle, but while waiting for response from them...I'm stumped I can't find more out here about this article.
    On Oracle knowledgebase...any search for VKRM, gives about the same 3 articles relating to RDA (Remote Diagnostic Assistant).
    Not sure what went on here.
    I have a 5 node RAC cluster. All other instances seem to be running just fine.
    On one instance...some applications were getting an error like:
    ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress
    I looked in GRID...and it indicated that only two of the 5 nodes had this instance running...which was strange in that with srvctl, it showed ll 5 up and running:
    [oracle@server2 bin]$ ./srvctl status database -d INSTANCE
    Instance INSTANCE1 is running on node server1
    Instance INSTANCE2 is running on node server2
    Instance INSTANCE3 is running on node server3
    Instance INSTNANCE4 is running on node server4
    Instance INSTANCE5 is running on node server5
    Anyway, thought I'd poke around. I started with trying to get srvctl to stop instance #2...in GRID it seemed that instance 2,4 and 5 weren't working.
    srvctl stop instance -D INSTANCE -i INSTANCE2
    This just hung...
    I thought I'd cycle all the nodes...so, did a ctl-c out of that one, and did:
    [oracle@server2 bin]$ ./srvctl stop database -d INSTANCE -o abort
    PRCD-1124 : Failed to stop database INSTANCE and its services
    PRCR-1065 : Failed to stop resource (((((NAME STARTS_WITH ora.instance.) && (NAME ENDS_WITH .svc)) && (TYPE == ora.service.type)) && ((STATE != OFFLINE) || (TARGET != OFFLINE))) || (((NAME == ora.instance.db) && (TYPE == ora.database.type)) && (STATE != OFFLINE)))

    The ORA-01034 messages repeats a number of times...and the one with server4 and server5 repeated again too.
    I also got this:
    CRS-2680: Clean of 'ora.instance.db' on 'server2' failed
    CRS-2675: Stop of 'ora.instance.db' on 'server5' failed

    I get similar messages when I try to restart.
    clusters seem to be up, and other instances seem to be ok
    Looking at alert log...I found some strangeness in the traces

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
    Ok..have been on phone with Oracle support, and have them stumped so far.
    I've checked..other instances are running (except one other that failed to cleanly shut down with srvctl and same error messages).
    I've check...ASM is running on all 5 nodes. I've used crsctl to check CRS on all nodes..clustering seems ok.
    Memory while somewhat high...should have enough room...the system has never complained before, and this has been up on this config for over a year.
    I was able on node one...to fire up the first nodes instance using the pfile there...it came up. I started it restrict..and promptly ran a datapump export, and then shut back down.
    While Oracle support is going through logs and trace files I sent...I've got another 11Gr2 environment (3 node RAC) I've been using as a test environment...and am recreated the instance there temporarily to allow my developers to test and get past the upcoming deadline.
    But, I'm still puzzled as to the solution on the main cluster. This seem to be normal, except these two instances....
    any ideas on where and what to look for?

  • When running the workflow background process for drop shipment order, sale order line's status gets automtically closed instead of awaiting shipping

    Hello friends,
    I am created a drop shipment order with all the setups done . now i have booked the sale order as source type external. but when i run the workflow background process , after completing the report when i check the sale order line status it changes to "closed" instead of "awaiting shipping".

  • TREX- process is terminating, because lockfile

    Hi experts,
    We recently implemented TREX to ease our search functionality within our ERP environment. Now its only implemented for DMS- document search within PLM. We almost done with the initial indexing, but stucked at last bit with error in trace file as below:
    self_watchdo SelfWatchdog.cpp(00170) : process is terminating, because lockfile 'I:\usr\sap\TP9\TRX01\hcb-msap63\lock\TREXIndexServer..30103.pid' is missing/wrong.
    Do you have any clue why this happened? We already restarted the server but the problem still persists.
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Thava

    Hi Duncan,
    I tried what you advised, stop the trex services. Then deleted TREXIndexServer_30103.pid from lock directory. Yet the indexing is not progressing, index failed with 200k documents and at the trace file same error Im getting
    "2011-07-07 07:08:16.326 f self_watchdo SelfWatchdog.cpp(00170) : process is terminating, because lockfile 'I:\usr\sap\TP9\TRX01\hcb-msap63\lock\TREXIndexServer_30103.pid' is missing/wrong".
    What can I do now?
    Thanks.

  • Background processing - load distribution guidelines

    Hello,
    We are using the HR module (ESS/MSS type Web application) in an ECC6 system.
    Due to the business needs we need to run heavy interfaces job.
    Basically the interfaces background jobs would turn round the clock and we fear this will impact the end users running the dialog transactions.
    While we can scale up the environment I was wondering if there are any guidelines or best practices from SAP regarding SAP background processing and interfaces. Recommendations like running interfaces background jobs outside businnes hours. Or anything similar that could help us approach the topic in a good way.
    Currently we fell that we will misuse the system and we will generate a big impact on the end-user dialog performance.
    Any hint is greatly appreciated,
    Kind Regards,
    Florin

    you can use logon load balancing in scheduling those background jobs,
    Re: Scheduling background job on Logon group
    Re: Scheduling background job on Logon group
    or you can speficify some particular jobs to be run only on application server so as to avoid the load in CI
    and following also might help you

  • Could not support request for background processing

    Hello,
    We have a .NET 1.x application with CrystalReportViewer control.
    The application is running on a windows terminal server with approximatively 5 users using the applications and 10-20 logged on doing other stuff.
    When the user tries to preview the report using the CrystalReportViewer  object , the following exception is "sometimes" thrown
    [translated from dutch]
    CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.InternalException:
    error in file C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Temp\35\{B8D10435-A104-4422-A220-6DB483DFC285}.rpt:
    The request could not be submitted for background processing. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800002AD)
    The application then terminates and if the user restarts the application attempts to reload the report, it usually loads with no problem .
    It can not be intentionality reproduced but it does happen frequently.
    I have been Googling for this problem , but havn't found any solution.
    On this website however a link is provided to a BO KB article with a possible solution:
    http://aspadvice.com/blogs/rjdudley/archive/2005/10/26/13443.aspx
    However, the article appears to require a login, my SAP CR account i used to register on these forums does not to work.
    What can we do to determine the exact cause of this problem, or are there any known solution for this problem ??
    If you need any more information please do ask.
    also,
    We have a licence for CR 11 and so does our client, what steps would we need to undertake to get professional /payed support from SAP crystal reports for techinal issues like this, is there a way to open a support ticket ?
    Thank you very much for your time, any help is appreciated !
    Willem

    Hello:
    First I have to apologize for the troubles with CR 11.5 - not sure why that would be, but your frustration is understood. Perhaps sometime in the future we can look at this in another thread (e.g.; it should just work...).
    Anyhow, there is really no compeling reason for you to go to CR 11.5 (there are reasons (see below), but 11.0 is fine with framework 1.1).
    So to start off. Version 11.0.0.895 will need to be updated to SP4. See this|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/CrystalReports2008%28and9.1%2CXIR1%2CXIR2%29-VersionandDownloadinformationforServicePacks] wiki. As you can see in the wiki, the latest version of CR 11.0 is updated to SP 4 with a version of 11.0.9500.x. Before we even start to look at this, you will have to get to SP4.
    Re. preference for CR 11.5. If the issue is not resolved with CR 11 Service Packed to SP 4, all we have left is; going to CR 11.5 - with the latest SP (SP6) as that is the version I would be testing with. Note that CR 11 is completely out of support now, CR 11.5 is out of patch support (e.g.; no fixes) and any support terminates in June of this year.
    And we have not even started to work the issue. Re-reading your initial post, I am starting to suspect that loading may be the root of the issue here. I'd recommend having a peek at the following:

    The following article specifies CR 2008, but most if not all the points will apply to CR 11.0 also:

    The following articles were written by me and may also apply:

    I realize I've thrown a lot of info in here, but all of it may apply. In a way I feel like we've ended up across the river without crossing the bridge first, but let's see what comes out of all of this (teleporting worked for Captain Kirk   ).

  • Using ServletContextListener for background process in tomcat, problems?

    Hi, I am building a web app using mojarra 1.2, hibernate 3.2, mysql 5 and tomcat 6. Currently, there's a need to run a background process every hour to:
    1) query the database
    2) process information
    3) send emails to (big) list of individuals when matched
    4) update database
    5) must happen during business hour
    For now, my approach to this problem is to hook a Timer object inside a class implements ServletContextListener. So that every hour during business hour will process the steps above when Tomcat started until someone shut down shut down Tomcat or when it crash (hopefully that won't happen).
    I read a few articles, they claimed this is not a good approach because in a managed environment, background thread like this won't be in the scope of the container.
    Due to certain reasons, we can't deploy this part as a separate daemon (e.g: jsvc) yet. We'll need to wait for few other things to occur before can we deploy a full daemon services.
    The question for this post is: What are some of the potential problems we will be dealing with when running background thread like this in tomcat? What are some of the things we'll need to watch out for before real problems arise (e.g size of db connection, # of concurrent process, etc) what are some other pitfalls other experienced when deploying background thread in tomcat?
    We hope this solution will be able to handle what needs to be done until our daemon service is ready.
    Thank you for your opinions

    You can try this.. Which gives more grip... in making threads etc..
    Here is a class with a method that sets up a ScheduledExecutorService to beep every ten seconds for an hour:
    import static java.util.concurrent.TimeUnit.*;
    class BeeperControl {
    private final ScheduledExecutorService scheduler =
    Executors.newScheduledThreadPool(1);
    public void beepForAnHour() {
    final Runnable beeper = new Runnable() {
    public void run() { System.out.println("beep"); }
    final ScheduledFuture<?> beeperHandle =
    scheduler.scheduleAtFixedRate(beeper, 10, 10, SECONDS);
    scheduler.schedule(new Runnable() {
    public void run() { beeperHandle.cancel(true); }
    }, 60 * 60, SECONDS);
    }
