Background selection missing from Properties inspector in CS6? [subject edited by moderator]

My BG (Background Insert Image) Selection is missing in the Properties Panel of my new Dreamweaver C6. I just moved up from an earlier version of Dreamweaver which did have it. How can I get the BG Image Insert / change link? Thanks

But this isn't doing what I want to do. Both the actions you describe above, adds the background .JPG image to the entire Browser Page background.
I need to insert / add the JPG image to a "TABLE" element which I am centering in the middle of my home page. You can see it here at: http://www.FastDates.com
See the background JPG photo of the 3 girls with the motorcycle. I created this with the earlier version of Dreamweaver using the BG (Background Insert Image) function previously seen at the bottom of the Properties box. With the new Dreamweaver I can not find how do this again - Change this table background Image. Other than to go into the old page coding and change it there. But this will not help me if I create new pages in the further.
Here is the coding for that section of the page with the JPG calendar page image I want to change each month - highlighted below darker:

I edited a template in dreamweaver and uploaded it to my new website yet it only shows plain text? All of the pretty layout and pictures are missing? How do I upload all of the files the way that it looks in dreamweaver? Because there it looks perfect.

I don't know where you got your "Template" but in DW, Template.dwt files serve a very specific purpose for maintaining the overall appearance of your site wide pages and common elements such as footers, headers & menus. If you're not familiar with DW Templates yet, I urge you to read the F1 Help Section > About DW Templates. Dreamweaver Help | About Dreamweaver templates
A Template.dwt file is basically a common structure shared by many child pages that are spawned from that Template.

Hello, I am using DW CS6. Was working great until just a few weeks ago. The draft view option no longer works. Instead of showing me a draft of my code, all it show are those strange buttons. I can no longer us it. What should I do?

You need to give more details:
1. What version of Pages?
2. Where did you get the Greek dictionary from and exactly how did you install it?
3. Are you applying the language to your text?

"More" tabe and language selection missing from Inspector

I need to define languages for different cells.
The help document indicates this is done as in Pages -- selecting the text, choosing the Text tab from the Inspector, selecting the "More" sub-tab, and selecting the appropriate language from the menu.
However, there isn't a "More" sub-tab on the Text tab of the inspector in Numbers.
Has anyone located this function someplace else? I've searched and searched and not turned it up so far.
Apple, if the function isn't there, can you add it in an update??

The place to ask Apple for an enhancement is in the Numbers menu using "Provide Numbers Feedback". The forums are made up of users like yourself, not Apple personnel.
As far as I know, there is no way to choose multiple languages in Numbers, it uses your International (Language & Text) preferences.

Missing Align Attribute & HTML in Properties Inspector in CS6

Greetings,
I have a couple of unusual issues. I just went to use Dreamweaver CS6 for the first time and noticed a couple of missing things.
One I cannot see the align attribute to align my image left or right (I just hand coded it for now). Strange?
Secondly is there not a CSS and HTML inspector in the properties panel? I only show one properties panel now.
I tried to upload a screenshot showing the missing inspectors and the missing align attribute but with no success...
Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions?

The point that I was trying to make is that if it's still used, why get rid of it?
With each new release, modern web browsers move one step closer to realizing full standards compliance. Eventually deprecated code will be ignored by all browsers such that <align> & <center> will have no effect other than throwing errors into the HTML. DW is targeted mainly at web designers who want standards compliant code; not e-mail designers.
Anyhow, so what are these other tools you mention for email?

Saved Selections missing from Spreadsheet Add-in

Hi,
One of my end users is having a problem with the Oracle Spreadsheet Add-In that no-one else seems to be having and I'm at a loss for what to suggest to him.
Yesterday he encountered some network related problem which left it impossible for the Spreadsheet Add-in to connect to the AW on the database. Everybody else that uses OLAP cubes was still able to connect without problems. When he entered the username and password and pressed connect the system hangs for a few seconds and then returns to the spreadsheet without invoking the wizard. Our desktop services team looked at the problem and couldn't resolve it so have re-installed the Spreadsheet Add-In. This has resolved his connection problems and he is able to build his own queries using the cubes.
The problem that he is now finding is that the saved selection criteria that he had previously been using was no longer visible to him. I.e. when he is in the wizard building a query based on a cube, he selects, say, the time dimension, and rather than selecting from the members tab on the left-hand side of the screen, he moves to the Saved Selection tab. It is at this point that he would usually see a list of his previously saved selections - but he doesn't see any folders or selections.
When I reproduce his steps on my computer I see a folder called Users and then another folder with the schema name and then underneath that there are a number of saved selections. I can select these without any problems.
I'm not sure if this problem is related to permissions somewhere or if somehow the installation is incomplete.
Has anyone encountered this before??

The first step to resolving this issue is to check your Analytic Workspace is working. Within AWM can you right click on each dimension and select the option "View data" - make sure you can drill up and down on each dimension. Then repeat this process for each of your cubes. I suspect there is something wrong with either a dimension or cube. If you cannot see data within AWM then Excel will not with either.
If the data viewer in AWM is working OK, then Excel should work as well.

MPEG-2 codecs missing from Adobe Media Encoder CS6 installed with Creative Cloud Membership

Some people who have downloaded Adobe Media Encoder with Premiere Pro CS6 as part of a Creative Cloud Membership subscription have a problem in which the MPEG2, MPEG2-DVD, MPEG2-Blu-ray, Dolby Digital, & MXF OP1a codecs are missing.
To fix this issue, install the Adobe Media Encoder CS6 (6.0.1) update. Choose Help > Updates to install the update.

It's true. We reached the conclusion that the version CS6 is inferior, a step back, than 5 or 5.5. What's good about it, is the Audution CS6, which is a great replacement for the flawed Audition CS5 accompanying Suite 5.5. You can almost forget the Soundbooth ... Soundbooth ... hmmm, better not comment, but anyway, the most polite thing that i can say it, is that it is a demonstration of how a company decides that its users are not able to think and not able to learn or understants anything. Anything else that i want to say about Soundbooth can not be written here ....
Adobe has demonstrates this development cicle along all this years. The products takes an uphill curve of development, and suddenly, goes back, showing wrong decisions was taken. So after some time , the products starts to evolve again . CS6 shows this stop evolving point. Now we have to wait untill new uphill curve of development starts again.
Well, but like their predecessors AA CS6 still not are good enough to dispense Audition 3, but it is a good outcome for the Suite CS5.5 Audition at least was a sign of improvement in this Creative Suite CS6
Many of the features and effects that have been deliberately taken out of version 5, now returned in 6, (some) showing that at Adobe at least recognizes when misses badly. But the optimal effects panel of AA3 did not return, some effects of AA3 as fade in and fade out did not come back in AA 6, the optimum VST support of AA3 to not are present in AA6 like many VST we have here that was expensive, you do not work in 6, thus, by these and other reasons we can still not dispense AA3.
Maybe in CS7 we users cam be satisfied.

Package missing from file menu in CS6 - how to get this feature?

I'm running Illustrator CS6 (version 16.0.3) 64-bit on Windows 7 64-bit as part of my Design Standard CS6. I'm trying to package a file but when I go to the File menu, there is no package option. Why is it not there? And how do I get the Package feature?

Why is the "All Movies" selection missing from Purchased Movies on Apple TV?

THere is no longer an option to search "all" of my Purchased iTunes movies in the Apple TV menu. It was nice to just scroll through all of the movies alphabetically. Now I can only search by ---- RECENT , SHARED, OR BY GENRES. This can sometimes be frustrating because a movie might not be listed in the Genre it Should be I.e. The Outlaw Josey Wales is not listed in Westerns but in Drama , or Big Hero 6 is in Action & Adventure not Kids & Family etc.
IS there anyway to activate this under some setting , or is it gone for good ? If gone is there a way to petition for the option to be brought back ?

We're just fellow users here and have no information as to why the episode might be missing, if it is. My guess would be some sort of rights hangup with a guest artist, the episode director, or something like that, but that's just a guess. You can try contacting the iTunes Store and asking:

Plant selection missing from dropdown during PR and PO Creation

Good day!
I am currently experiencing problems during PR and PO creation. Everytime I try to access the list of selection for the plant field, the system does not display any entries. (In our sandbox client)
In our dev box, I was able to perform the 2 fucntions succesfully. Can you guys please help me check what would be the issue for this? What would be the procedure that I should follow to investigate this concern?

It is up to the consultant who is configuring the system to decide how it ahould be done... one dev 1 TR or many dev 1 TR.
Say now you have created 2 TR's for plant creation and plant assignment.
The TR's should move in to other client has it is created.
now for example ur plant assignment TR is moved first and then the plant creation. the other client in which it was moved will contain only plant creation that is it has our assignment TR is overwritten by the 1 TR which is plant creation.
Usually consultants do it this way.
1 TR - Org Strusture
1 TR - Purchasing
1 TR - Inventory
1 TR - Invoice
1 TR - Valuation and AAD
and so on..

Options missing from Properties window for smart shape

I feel really stupid. I recently updated my Captivate 8 to 8.0.1.242 and now I can't figure out how to change the color of my smart shapes. I don't see the fill or stroke settings. Is there somewhere new I should be looking? Shouldn't they be under the "State" area? All is see is the opacity setting.

Unfortunately your solution did not work for me. This contribution is more for Adobe than you. This has become a very annoying problem. I cannot get to the Smart Shape properties. Even creating a new smart shape (which I intent to delete) did not active the properties. Sometimes these properties just seem to appear after a few frustrating clicks on the smart shape...but not today!!!!! Is this on the bugs to be fixed ASAP list?

CS6 page settings using Property inspector will not save [subject edited by moderator]

I have a student who is working on building a webpage using a CSS template. They are trying to change their page settings (for example, the color of their hyperlinks) using the menu at the bottom of the page. However, these settings will not save. If anyone can give me an idea of how to move forward, I would appreciate it. Thank you

Do you have all the latest updates?
Also which operating system?
Has DW always behaved this way or is this something new?

DW CS6 and legacy Java SE6 runtime [subject edited by moderator]

When I try to open Dw CS6 or Flash CS6 I get this message "
To open “Dreamweaver” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime.
To open “Flash” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime."
These two programs would not open. These two programs was working
before I upgraded to OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.1
