Backing up 3G so I can put apps and content on my new 3Gs
Hi, I will be getting a new 3GS soon and I was told by the at&t salesperson I can back up my current 3G on my itunes so when I get my new 3GS I can add all the content:music, apps, contacts and so on. Can someone please tell me how to back up my current 3G so I can do this when I get the 3GS???

You are already doing this when your sync your existing iPhone with iTunes.
iTunes creates and maintains a backup for your iPhone, which is updated if needed as the very first step during the sync process - if any of the data on your iPhone that is included with your iPhone's backup has changed since the last sync.
Your iPhone's backup includes data such as most iPhone settings, email account settings, contact info, SMS messages, notes, recent calls, call favorites, photos in your iPhone's camera roll, and 3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app.
All your iTunes content - music, video, podcasts, and 3rd party apps should be available/remain in your iTunes library on your computer.
Photos in your iPhone's camera roll should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.
Contact info and calendar events are designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer. With Vista, this can be with Outlook 2003 or 2007 for contact info and calendar events, or with the address book used by Windows Mail (Windows Contacts) for contact info only.
When you connect your iPhone 3GS to your computer and iTunes the first time, you will be prompted to transfer the backup for your iPhone 3G to your iPhone 3GS. After the backup is transferred, you must sync your iPhone 3GS with iTunes to transfer your selected iTunes content including 3rd party apps from your iTunes library, and the same for any photos you have selected to be transferred from your computer to your iPhone.

Hi... I am looking for an inexpensive app for my macbook pro that I can put pictures and videos together into a slideshow with captions and music WITHOUT a watermark and that also will burn the slideshow to a DVD in its own app. Help?
The issue with the A1400 is that like most economy compact cameras, they will not have very fast focus times in indoor lighting situations. Many people have gone to entry level DSLR's (Canon T3i) or micro 4/3 cameras. They are fairly expensive, but a late model refurbished T3i can sometimes be found with a kit lens for about $300.00. With Auto and scene modes, as well as full manual modes, these are very versatile cameras that focus very quickly, even in lower lighting situations. Canon is not really into the micro 4/3 cameras, instead they are focusing on the new G7x and G1x cameras, which are way out of your price range. The A720 is still available used at some places such as KEH camera, but you'll need to check often as their stock changes constantly. Obviously the DSLR's don't use AA batteries, but the T3i is good for about 600 photos (or more) per charge.
My refurbished DSLR was practically brand new condition when I got it. I could not find any sign of wear at all, so I feel they are a real bargain. These are rugged cameras that are made to last. The A1400 is a $99.00 camera, so it's not intended for heavy usage, plus the image quality of a DSLR (even entry level) is far better than the A1400. That would be my recommendation.

If he used his own Apple ID that is what probably caused this to happen. It is your decision - but my advice is to use one ID and one ID only on your iPad.
If that is what happened - and If you want to download your apps again - go to Settings>Store>Apple ID - make sure that you are signed into your own account on the iPad. If you are not, sign out and sign in with your ID.
Then go to the App Store, tap on the purchased tab, find the apps that you want to download and download them again. -

Is this a new iPhone?
If so, when connecting a new iPhone to iTunes for the first time that has been used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device to the new iPhone, or set up the new iPhone as a new iPhone.
If you don't want to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or iOS device, select set up as a new iPhone. No existing data or settings will be erased or changed when selecting as a new iPhone. Not that difficult or difficult at all. -
Why can't I see the purchase history from the ipad? I mean, I can buy apps and in game content directly from my iPad, but I have have to install iTunes on my PC to see the purchase history? What kind of deal is that?

You don't need to install iTunes for the purchase history. You can see it in your iPad (iTunes > Purchased), but you need to install it if you want the order numbers -

How do I transfer my apps and music to a new computer? I have authorized my Computer, but when I connect the ipod, it only comes up with the message box "Erase and sync.", I don't get the option to transfer my music and apps onto the Computer. How can this be achived? I really don't want the Computer to wipe my ipod. Any help much appreciated.

- For other music you need a third-party program like one of those discussed here:
Copy music
- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up.
- Restore the iPod from that backup
Note that the backup that iTunes makes does not include media like app and music. -
I want to upgrade my iOS 4 to 5 on my Ipod Touch but I no longer have the original computer I used to sync with so it keeps saying I will loose all of my apps and stuff on my new computer..... I'm facing a serious problem as our folios of elektrospieler aren"t shown in the App (which is live on the store) nor the content viewer any more.
Library is updating within the branded App "Cannot actualize Library - An error occured" (Bibiliothek kann nicht aktualisiert werden - Es ist ein Fehler aufgetreten).

I just updated the App with a binary that I build 1 month ago, but the error was there prior the update.
What can I do? I have no idea why the folios don't even show in content viewer?!

maybe, when the issues don't appear in the content viewer anymore this
might have to do with v21, wich requires you to set up the orientations you
want first and then fails to appear on the iPad if you have not added all
orientations.
if your folio is only one orientation and you switched to v21, the folio
settings need to reflect that.
maybe you can try with a new folio, look at the settings in the new folio
window.
this is my initial shot in the dark.
but if you can provide the product Id to James Roche, he might be able to
investigate further.

Web apps and content holders after upload
I purchased the uguru photography template from business catalyst into which I have inserted my own content worked on in dreamweaver and tested on my trail site. I transfered the whole of the new version successfully to my live site at http://www.misskikisalon.co.uk/. Have checked all files and everything is successfully there. The problem is that none of the web apps and content holders are now working and the interface tells me there are no web apps on the site although all the files have uploaded. The html pages say 'No Items Found' where the web apps should be working and the content holders should be - on product pages it says no product found or item out of stock. Please can you help?
Also on the trial site interface under site manager there are 12 items and under web apps all the associated web apps for the template whereas in my live site in site manager there are 2 items listed under site manager - web forms and system emails and no apps - why the difference?I purchased the template which places it in the trial site worked on it locally using dreamweaver and then sftp site from dreamweaver to live site.
How can I then use the template from the trial site and the version I have developed in dreamweaver and make this live on my live site. I want my currently live site to use this template and all the development I work since purchasing the template. -
I have CC for work and my PC to do work at home. At home I switched from PC to Mac this weekend. I want to redownload my apps for the iMac but it's telling my I'm using a 30 day free trial. I need to discontinue the PC apps and download to the new computer.
YOu need to sign out of the PC thru the CC manager and then sign in on the Mac.
