Backing up iPad "Notes"

I manually backed-up iPad to PC running Windows and then reset iPad to factory default erasing everything. I am able to find photos and videos in the back up location, but I cannot find "Note" files; are they backed up the same way as photos and videos? and where can I find them? I searched windows, but other than iPad crash and log files can't find "Notes" files. Does anyone know if they were even backed up? Need help.

You will not see the actual notes themselves in the backup, the files in the backup are not readable - without some app that will translate what they are. I use translate for lack of a better word right now.
If you restore from a backup, then the notes in the backup will be restored to the iPad, but you cannot pick them out of the backup folder as needed or to read them on your PC.
if you want to see where your backup is located and look in the folder, this tells you where it is. Be careful what you do in that folder, you don't want to hose your backup.
Where iTunes backups are stored on your computer
The folder where your backup data are stored varies depending on the computer's operating system. Make sure the backup folder is included in your periodic data-backup routine.
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, and choose Run. Type %appdata% and click OK.
Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata% and press the Return key.
