Backing Up iTouch (Error 11222)
I tried backing up my iTouch from restoring because the passcode was forgotten. As I clicked "restore from backup" it did what it was supposed to do, but at the end it did nothing (still at factory settings), and a message popped up from iTunes:
"(Error 11222): A problem occurred with the iTunes store"
(Or something like that.)
So what exactly is this "Error 11222", and how do you fix it?
The iTouch has already been updated to the latest version.
Not so true. I don't sync my ipod with my lib. I manually add files.. Sometimes I will change ID tags directly on the ipod. I like to back up the entire contents to a external hard drive in case my cpu or ipod ever crashes I can recover it quickly. with my ipod class I copied everything from the ipod to a hard drive and if I ever had to restore my ipod i would just copy everything back.
What if I buy a song from the wifi itunes store? that's not stored on my computer.. I just want to be able to take everything on my ipod and dump it to a hard drive

When an external application tries to connect to it through iTunes I get 'Error: 11222'. When I try to connect through the iTunes app it just continuously loads but nothing appears. Diagnostics says that Windows Firewall (Which is being managed by McAfee) is blocking it, even though it is allowed through both firewalls I have. Even when I turn WF off iTunes claims it is being blocked by it. I have done almost everything Apple's support pages have suggested but nothing has worked. I'm using it on an Acer Aspire laptop, and the main PC can use iTunes without trouble so it isn't the ISP. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes twice. Here is a full diagnostics:

I am trying to access the iTunes store on my windows 7 64 bit PC but I can't access the store. At one point I got error 11222. I have uninstalled iTunes, ran a full security scan, then re-installed iTunes. No luck. Any ideas?

Error 11222 when trying to connect to iTunes store
When I am on my HP laptop, iTunes will not let me load the store and it says Error 11222. My 5th gen iPod Nano still connects and works prefectly fine on iTunes. I have tried to fix it on my own by using Apple support, but nothing is working, and I have contacted Apple multiple times without any luck from them either. iTunes stopped working before I got the updated iTunes and hasn't been working for more than a year.
When I do a diagnostics it says "secure link to iTunes store failed", but when I click help, I can't get any because I'm not connected to the internet (which I most certainly am).

Last successful iTunes Store access was 2012-04-21 10:40:23.I do have parental controls on my account, but other accounts on the computer have it too and their iTunes store works just fine.
Also the error doesn't appear right away, it takes a while of iTunes trying to load, and it usually just shows the white screen. -
Trouble updating to iOS 5 on my wife's iPhone 4 connected to our iM, right before download finishes downloading iTunes comes back with the error message Software corrupted during download. Please check network settings and try again later, however there was no problem updating my iPhone to iOS 5 through iTunes connceted to my dell laptop on the same wireless network. What gives?
Try disabling your firewall; both on your PC and the external Firewall/Router.

It sounds like you are unable to successfully install iTunes. I recommend the troubleshooting instructions in this article named:

Here is a general outline of where the troubleshooting will take you:
General installation troubleshooting
1. Empty your Temp directory and restart
2. Completely remove iTunes and related components
3. Install the latest version of iTunes
Additional troubleshooting
After performing each of the steps below, you will need to completely remove iTunes and related components and then install iTunes again to determine whether the issue is resolved.
1. Make sure you have administrator account access
2. Make sure your folder names don't contain strange characters
3. Get the latest Windows updates
4. Disable other conflicting software
Additional Information
If you only need to install QuickTime, or if iTunes installs but QuickTime installation did not complete
Try downloading and installing the standalone version of QuickTime from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/. Be sure you download the version that does not include iTunes.
If the steps outlined in this article don't help, you may be able to find a solution to your issue by searching the Microsoft support website.

Check the hosts file or TCP/IP filtering, which might cause communication issues between iTunes, ports, and servers. -
Can't move movie from itunes library back to itouch
Agreed to have latest version update downloaded to itouch; went back to itouch and noticed movie that was purchased on itouch suddenly was not there. It is on computer under "purchased on itouch" and in itunes library. When I try to move movie back to itouch a prompt comes up and tells me I am not authorized to watch this movie on this computer and it will not move over to itouch. Attempted to "buy" it again thinking it would tell me it was already purchased and would allow me to download for free - but instead it acknowledged that I had already purchased and it asked me if I wanted to purchase again!
In iTunes, add your movie to your library by selecting File>Add to Library. Once in iTunes click on Movies on the left under Library, highlight the movie in question and go to Advanced>Create iPod or iPhone Version. Sync this version to your iPhone.

I'm not tech-savvy, but I do OK...except I can't connect to the itunes store!!!! First I get prompted by my computer that itunes is not my default audio, which it is, then I wait for a really long time until I x out the store connection attempt and I get 'error 11222'. My Norton firewall was OFF when I did this, and I did the dns config, so I'm at a loss. Please help.

can't reload Photoshop elements 7 on my windows 7 operating system. Everything goes well and it appears to be installing. All of the sudden the Installer starts to roll back everything and error message shows up saying I can't use this product at this time.
How do I do that? I'm the only user on the laptop - I kind of assumed I already was running the install as the admin.

The problem first occured when I had installed some software on my machine and then saw many issues so i removed it. and yet could not have the itunes working in addition to my Outlook.
I havent backedup my phone for a year now even when i changed my phone. thanks to the icloud.
I tried downgrading itunes. reinstalling, repairing and even uninstalling totally and cleaning the registry. Not being good at IT i still came to a conclusion that it had something to do with the sockets and ports but dint know what to do. The only thing remaining was that I format my machine. Which is totally not worth it.

So, when I installed Time Capsule, I gave it a password ("network password").
Fairly recently, I renamed the Airport. Now the Airport disk password and Airport base station password are the same as the network password, and the Airport network password is different.
Is this what the Apple support message I referenced is getting at? Are these passwords supposed to be the same... ???

reluctantuserI'm not sure what you mean by "We also used the Time capsule as a hard drive for backing up." after you've already mentioned that you use Time Machine to back up three Macs to the Time Capsule.
