Backing Up Page Changes to Desktop

I want to be able to back up the page changes made through
Contribute on to a desktop so my clients can have the latest edited
pages and not depend on the hosting company as their only back up.
Is this possible? Or, how is this usually handled? I kmow they can
send me a notice of a page change but I want to lknow if they also
can do back up.

If you set up page rollbacks via Contribute's Administer
Website> enable Rollbacks, you can set this so that Contribute
moves the current version into the baks_folder, when the user
publishes. However this folder is located on the web server, so it
might not solve your question. Another option is to have the user
view the page via their browser and save that copy locally.
Contribute does not have the same workflow as Dreamweaver,
and you do not get to define a local folder to modify and then
upload to the web server to publish. Some customers workaround this
by hosting a staging server which is their preproduction site
before they push their content to a live site.

(This icon) in the upper right corner.
If you don't know the exact file name, you may have to redownload it so you can see it.
I would also try doing a reboot after you change your desktop background to what you want.

How do I change back one page setting

Why do I get this question when I go back one page more than once?
To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier.

I just finished to write mty document in "pages" and i needed to upload on one website.. They didnt accept the format so i just changed to abcd.JPG, however it changed to some thing what i cant even open... Might be corrupted preferences ..
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.desktop.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac and try changing the desktop photo.

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

The back button goes back 2 pages, when choosing a bookmark the item under it (on the desktop) is selected

After upgrading to 3.6.11 The back button sometimes goes back 2 pages, The Bookmarks window just flashes when trying to open it, when it does stays open if an item is selected that item is not opened, the item beneath it on say, my home page is opened. I saw there were some Google related problems in your trouble shooting section, I got rid of the Google stuff but the problem remains.

Your above posted system details show multiple Java Console extensions. 
You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions, you do not need them to run Java applets.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears. 
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions. 
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Why does Mozilla go back to desktop every time I close the website I am on. It won't left me go back one page to look at something because the arrows are alway

When I am using Mozilla, I cannot go back one page unless the arrow is black. Most of the time it is grey which means you 'CAN'T
go back. When I click on the red X to close the page it says, "you are about to close (4 tabs) or however many, "DO YOU WISH TO CONTINUE?" Well, NO, I want to go back to the first page so I can either delete the e-mail or go on to the next one.
Another issue: when you are looking at your e-mail, there is no way to go to the next one unless you delete the one you are looking at. Am I right about this or am I just unlearned on how to use mozilla? Thank you very much for a prompt answer.

Make sure that you close the tab by clicking the close X on the Tab bar or middle-click the tab if the close X is hidden.
If you use the close X in the top right corner then you close the window with all the current tabs.

You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar

Dynamically adding pages to a desktop

I am trying to create a portal application that will allow me to dynamically add
pages to my desktop. Right now I have a portlet set up that can take the name
of the page I want and pass that to a pageflow. From there I have tried using
classes such as PortalCustomizationManager, BookPresentationContext, BookDefinition,
BookInstance, PageDefinition, PageInstance, etc. to add the page, but have not
had much luck. I know that WebLogic has the built-in VisitorTools, but I can't
use those for what I am really trying to accomplish. I also tried looking at how
the VisitorTools work, but it just appears that BEA uses javascript to populate
a hidden form with values, and then submit the form. What happens after that I
have not been able to figure out and my experiments to do the same in my portal
have all failed. The documentation on how to use all of these VisitorTools classes
without taking the whole thing is very, very poor. Please help if you can! Thanks!

If I open another URL from my homepage, the "go back one page" button is grayed out so I can't get back to my home page.

This problem only started recently.
Opening another web page (URL) from my homepage always opens in the same tab and the "go back one page" button is gray and does not work. If I open a series of web pages in the same tab the green "back" button is green. Clicking on the "recent pages" down arrow will allow me to go back, but only to the page after the home page.
In other words, after browsing, I can get back to the opening page (my home page) only by clicking on the house icon but not by using the "recent pages" function.
Is there an option that changed after the last update?

Do you see any tab history if you right click the Back or Forward button?

My "arrow" doesent work, cant "go back" one page (so I get back where I was before clicking on a "item" in FB).

When I am on FB playing f.eks CW and "click" on an "item", I get that item on "next" page - climb that one and want to go back to the place I was before - but the "arrow" doesent work anymore.
(go back a page - click right or pull down to view history).
I think this is a FIREFOX issue - so FIREFOX have to look at the problem! There is no other "users" who cant help me with this!

The Macbook Air is a low end Macintosh for graphics apps and you are asking it to perform a heavy pro workflow using a pro application. The integrated GPU of MBAs is a serious limiter to heavy graphics. Personally I would expect flaky performance with certain operations. In general I recommend that Aperture users choose boxes with independent GPUs and capable of taking 16 GB RAM if necessary.
It will be important to carefully optimize workflow. How much RAM is in the MBA? The most Apple specs is 8 GB but you can check OWC to see if you can go to 16 GB. My Aperture/Photoshop workflow paged out at 8 GB RAM before I upgraded to 16 GB RAM.
You should evaluate whether or not you have adequate RAM:
Look at the Page Outs number under System Memory on the Activity Monitor app before starting a typical Aperture/Photoshop work session and write the number down. Recheck the Page Outs count after working for a few hours and write the number down again. If the page outs change (manual calculation of ending page outs number minus starting page outs number) is not zero your workflow is RAM-starved.
Ignore the pie charts and other info in Activity Monitor because they can be misleading regarding RAM usage. For RAM analysis, manually count page outs before and after a work session.

On my iMac running OS 10.6.8 (but not on my Macbook Air running Lion) the "go back one page" button retains a maximum of 5 prior websites. Is there any way to avoid that 5-page limit?

On both computers, I'm running FF 7.0.1, but the problem has been with me on my iMac ever since FF 5. Both computers have the same add-ons, and as far as I can tell all settings are the same as well. But something obviously is limiting the number of pages that are retained in the "go back one page" history. I've searched in vain repeatedly for some setting that might explain the problem. I finally found a solution. In about:config, under browser.sessionhistory.max_entries, I changed 5 to 20. End of problem.

How do I change the desktop picture on *all* windows with Lion?

I'm sure I'm just missing a simple setting, but ... I changed the desktop background to something I found I thought I'd like, using right click/use as desktop background. Didn't like it. Went to System prefs to change it, and selected the Pond Reeds pic that comes preloaded with Lion. Great! Except it only changed it to that in one workspace. All the others still have the background I don't like, and going to each workspace, right clicking and choosing "change desktop picture" just shoots me back to the system prefs workspace and doesn't change anything. What's the right answer (It's an older MacBook Pro, but running Lion, just upgraded to it a few days ago.)

Thank you!!! I knew it must be something simple, that I just haven't had time to figure out yet (the day after I upgraded, my son went into the hospital and had to have heart surgery, so I haven't spent a lot of time getting to know Lion.). Your help is much much appreciated!
