Backlight does not work again...

I have Toshiba Z30-A-12N.
As in wiki is written, the Toshiba acpi and the intel drivers have a backlight driver. Thus, there are two backlight as a vendor. Until today, I used the solution of the wiki with good results. However, after the last upgrade this solution doesn't work. The last upgrade was a little big, with gnome-shell and the kernel, so I don't know what is the reason. I can change the backlight manually with the tee in the /sys/class/backlight/intel but in gnome only tochiba one is changes without any effect.

did u look around on this site (in the forums) for ure specific problem?? if u have, it would be best I think to take it to an Apple store or send it in for repairs...because it sounds like an internal problem, therefore not one u can fix...does that help a bit?

Keyboard Backlight does not work

I just got my new 2009 13" MacBook Pro.
I have installed Vista and loaded my Boot Camp drivers.
The Keyboard Backlight does not work.
Any suggestions?

I have turned it on under settings.
I have reset it.
I have restored it.
I have got my Ipod for at least six months.
I am using the latest firm ware.
My Ipod used to work well, but some day while I was running it froze. After that I have rested and restored several times and what is happened is some times it is still freezing or keeping change the music without playing (like searching). Additionally, I have noticed tha the back light do not turn on. I realy want stoping reset and restore my Ipod, almost every time I use it I have to perform these procedures.
Any help?

The backlight of my Video Ipod does not go on, but it works perfectly. What do i do?

I suggest a reset.. PUSH and HOLD the middle button and the menu button at the same time for 10 seconds..
If that does not work you might want to try a restore.

MacBook Pro 13-inc, keyboard backlight does not work

My keyboard backligth does not work.
I have a MacBook Pro 13-inch, early 2011 with MAC OS X Lion 10.7.3.
I already set the preferences to be on in autmatic mode with low ligth on but this did not work.
When I turn on the computer the keyboar lights on but as soon as the computer finish the log on the keyboard goes off.
I will appreciatte any advise.

Satellite L300-1bd LCD backlight does not work properly

Hi,
A few days ago, the backlight of my l300 stopped to function properly.
I have tried turning it on a few times, and sometimes it briefly lights up and then goes off again.
Any idea's on what my next move should be?
I called a repairshop, and the guy i spoke to told me they would charge 50 euro's just to open it and that he was afraid he might have te put a new lcd screen in which would cost me another 150 euro's. I cannot afford this, nor do i think it would be a smart move to do a 200 euro repair on this notebook..
now because the backlight went briefly on and then off, i am kind of hopeing the cable that connects the screen to the computer might be broken/not plugged in properly. I found a repair manual which makes me think i can change it myself, but: is there a way i can make sure what the defect is before trying to plug in a new cable? what kind of cable do i need, and where can i get this?

Either its just a FL inverter issue or the display fault
The FL inverter controls the display backlight and therefore I think its FL inverter.
This is a small part hidden behind the plastic display frame.
I dont know ho much is it but its not very expensive like display itself.

Tap to click does not work. Is there no solution?

I have XP SP3 with the latest 2.1.1 update. Tapping doesn't work. Keyboard backlight does not work. Eject does not work. Scrolling is hyper active even with mouse set to 1 click scroll. But worst of all, NO MOUSE CLICK.
If there is a special setting to make, please let me know. I can live with the other problems but not being able to tap is extremely irritating.

For those who care to know, the tap to click pretty much does NOT work at all no matter what version of Windows you have.
I called tech support twice today. The first "expert" told me to try using XP service pack 2. He claimed his tap function worked during his training program.
I said OK and proceeded to erase and reinstall the whole thing. No go.
The second tech reviewed my case number and flat out said, "we don't support windows, I can't help you". I understand that some things are beyond the scope of support but to me, this was an apple boot camp issue. Every salesperson I spoke to said it was no problem. There are problems. Probably to be fixed at a later date, however, it is obviously not a priority.
I do have some good news. I discovered that spyware programs such as Webroot Spy Sweeper seem to make the bootcamp manager crash (you'll see a popup at startup).
But if you just reinstall bootcamp again it will rebuild the drivers and should work.
Also, you can reduce the amount of hyper scrolling across the trackpad by setting the mouse click wheel to 1 (3 by default) in control panel. Be sure to check out the bootcamp panel and enable stuff like the fn keys.
I am now considering Parallels as a solution. If it runs inside OSX then maybe it won't suffer the trackpad issues.
I am staying with SP2 until someone says SP3 is better. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Try restarting the iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo. If you are still having problems, then you should take your iPhone to Apple for repair.

Why do you want to use a h:commandButton and not an <input type="button"> or a <button>? I don't think that you want to execute a backing bean action. Anyway, in this case you can also add return: false; to the onclick event so that it prevents the button from submitting the form to the server.

1. Restart.
2. Press F6 key couple of times.

                       Uncheck the box next to "Adjust keyboard brightness in low light"

I want to have all my tabs return after closing. In Tools/Options/General/ I have' Show my Windows and Tabs from last time' checked, but it does not work. When I open FF again none of my formerly open Tabs show... FF v.4.

After 4 calls to apple and 8 and a half hours on the phone. The apple people does not how to solve the problem. The last thing they told me is that they will send the problem to their engineers and I will hear from them. unfortunately they have not contact me.
During the phone calls I tried putting the date and time in automatic, changing the username and password, I even tried using somebody elses username and password. Please help, facetime is my tool to telecomute, and it is hurting my job.
