Backup deletion mess - HELP!
Well, it looks like I messed up. TM filled my external drive so much that iPhoto kept crashing, etc. So, I went to the backup folder and threw about the first half of the backups into the trash. Bad mistake. Now I cannot empty the trash, return them to their original locations, r do anything very much.
So, I have a bunch of backup folders, Dec 1-15,in the trash, and the others in the TM backup folder on my external HD. Can someone please help me out of this mess?

Returning the backup files to the original locations would be the best solution. What response are you getting when you try to do that? Is it a permissions issue?
I would be very cautious about emptying the trash. The backup folders don't contain data as such, only links to the data, and the multiple hard links used by TM may well be something which the usual directory amendment which constitutes standard file deleting would foul up (ie the backup folders look like ordinary folders but they are actually sharing raw data with other folders so if you delete one which shares data with one that is not deleted, what happens to the latter? Possibly nothing but I wouldn't want to bet on it.).
There's no point in getting out of your present dilemma except to a situation where you can be confident that your TM backups have not been corrupted in some way. If you can't get to that level of confidence you might as well abandon your existing backups, reformat the disk and start again.

I am unable to delete whole texts from left-swipe. i click delete and they dissappear. actually better to reset your phone and reinstall the latest firmware again after that restore your back up it should be ok

Photos deleted after iCloud backup. Please help!
So I did the iCloud backup from my old phone. I already had photos on my new phone and now they are deleted. Where would I find the videos and phots that were already on my new phone? The backup deleted all my new phone photos, and backed up all the old ones? Am I screwed? Please help!! Thank you
When you restore a backup, the restored data overwrites any existing data on the phone.
If you didn't back up your new phone before this happened, there is no way to recover the deleted photos and videos. It you did, restore the backup of your new phone to recover them, then import them to your computer as explained here before restoring the old backup again: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. -

the following error message come up when access web service URL/backup/delete/change encryption key:

I can avoid the issue when use Local system account to run the SSRS but domain account is required for Sharepoint integration.

Try this. Don't open the email. Swipe across it in the preview window and a red delete button will pop up. Use that to delete it. You can delete it from the trash the same way if needed.

When i swipe my finger to delete messages, the "delete" option disappears in no time before I tap delete. Help?
Also, my battery died after like 4 hours of a full charge.
This is a brand new phone .. HELLPP!!!Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again. This usually takes care of glitches. You will not lose data resetting the phone that way.
As for the battery drain, if you're using push/fetch for your mail, try to delete and set up the mail account again, the have been cases, in which the mail app tried to log into the mail server over and over again, causing the battery drain. -
There are text messages that I'm having trouble deleting. With some of my text messages, I can swipe to the left and delete ... or press and hold, get more and delete to trash can icon. But there are some where neither will work. Can't delete. Help!
But once again, I do not want to lose my other texts, app progress, and photos. I could sync the photos but i would still lose the app progress and texts. I would only restore if it was the only option left, but the other space, as already stated, isnt the main concern. The main concern is those 'deleted' texts. If they go, then a good size chunk of the other space goes. I know you CAN delete texts for good. It worked fine before. All i want to know is why its not working for me now, and how to fix it.
I also know that when you delete texts on your iphone, they get marked for deletion, however they stay on your device (thats why they show up when you search for them.) then when you sync your device with itunes, the texts marked for deletion should disappear. When i synced they didnt disappear. Thats what i need an explanation/solution for. Why the texts marked for deletion didnt get fully deleted after the sync. -
i cannot backup my iphone4s because no more storage is displayed when the storage statistics shows Total Storage 5GB and Available Storage 5GB - basically i haven't used any memory but i cannot backup! please help. i am only trying to back up my notes and contacts. that's it. and i don't think it will use up 5GB
On your iPhone, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage. There you should be able to see how much of your used storage is allocated to different things (ex., iphone backup, ipad backup, mail). From there you should be able to figure out what is going on.

Sorry, but without a backup in iCloud or iTunes on your computer, your data is gone and can't be restored anymore.

I Was wodnering of you ever had ths issue resolved. My wife's iPad 2 is havieng a similiar issue. The iPad receives only some emails -- they appear to be from people in her contacts-- but not emials from "strange" soucrces. No junk mail rules are set. And oddly enough it is a new iCloud email address.

I have deleted photos from iPhoto trash but apparently still have 82GB of photos which I cannot see or delete - any help would be much appreciated
check the overall trash on the 'dock'.when files are deleted from programmes, they always go to the general 'Trash' as general files and you will need to delete form there as well. if there is still a lot of missing files taking up space try reloading or deleting 'Iphoto' and uploading again.

iCloud will keep your last 3 backups. The first time you back up, it does a complete backup (and takes some time to complete). Your subsequent backups back up changed files since the previous backup, and take much less time to finish.

Hi, Excuse my English, I'm using imovie 11, I want to delete a clip video at the end of the project, but keep the audio over the fade to black, everytime I delete the video, the audio is also deleted, please help!
I assume you are trying to end the clip/project with a fade to black, or something that just doesn't cut so instant.
One thing i'm thinking you can try is to Add a "Transition Clip" to the end, and try your first method. (with Detached Audio + Delete Selection. (Yellow highlight was deleted selection) Do you need something to end like this?
If you can, put screenshot up (Shift+Comm+4), if i'm not on the right idea. It seems like an easy fix, with a few ways of doing it. You can also add a blank image to end project, sub titles or Add,Cutaway fade +Opacity adjust.
