I KNOW my password but it won't let me uncheck the box where it says "encrypt local backup" any help?

It is in itunes because I belive that the problem is in itunes because I am in itunes, then I click om my iphone, then summary, then go down to backup, it is clicked on "backup to this computer" and underneeth it it says "encrypt local backup" but I can not uncheck that box.

I was going to hel my daughter with her l505 and when I turned it on the toshiba screen comes up indicating f1 or f12 as a option. A password asked in a blue box on a blackscreen when you turn the laptop on is a BIOS password.
BIOS passwords are reset by Toshiba service centers, Toshiba Depot and Toshiba Repair Services, its not free.
Your startup discs will not reset BIOS passwords.
Someone may have unknowingly set this password up.
The terminals described in the pages below are right under the memory chips.
Have this reset by a Service Center in your area, hire your own tech or proceed at your own risk:

YO can just delete all media purchased with the account and change the ID to a new one. and not lose things like photos except for photos directly associated with the ID like maybe photos in your PhotoStream

Its probably too late for you, but just in case..
You may not be aware that all late Windows OS have a hidden admin called Administrator which is only visible in Safe Mode. (Ever wondered why you can't call yourself "Administrator" - now you know!) It is used by maintenance people.
To solve your problem, boot in Safe Mode. Log in as "Administrator" - it has no password. Now you can reset the password, or delete and re-instate your normal (visible) admin.
By the way, you said you can only log in as Guest. If you always log in as admin, be aware that this is bad practice. It gives you much more access than you need for normal tasks, and along with that the ability to corrupt or destroy vital software, including the OS!
If you are the administrator or sole user of a computer, you should have two login names - one for admin, and another for all other uses set up as a normal user (no privileges), preferably with a different password.
Use that admin login only for those things that need it - installing new programs, updates, etc.

I've simply sat here so frustrated....my husband sync'd his new iPhone 4 no problem, somehow the checkbox shows Encrypted password and I'm at a loss on how to change this/find the password and transfer my old backup onto my new phone so I can use it. What encryption are you using on the router?
If WEP you have to set the router to use the first key and you have to enter the first key as the password on the iPod. See:

I deleted/changed my old apple ID (from the apple webb site) and I have changed all my Apple products onto the new ID, but they all randomly ask for a password for the old ID (which now will not work and I can't change) the biggest problem is that my icloud account will not let me in to do anything.

We need to be clear here. Did you create a second ID, or just modify the single ID?

It sounds like you might need to contact Yahoo! if you aren't able to setup your email account as a new account after deleting it.

What if the problem with their device is that it requires a new-fangled "grounded" outlet and your circa 1890 house doesn't have grounded outlets. Would you refuse to purchase a $ 25 adapter on principle?
