Backup Photo from iCloud

Hi!
I have a trouble. I made a restore on my iphone 4 and after that i sing in to my iCloud account. I download all my stuff from iCloud (like contact, notes, calendar) except my Photos. I see that on my iCloud are 3,9 Gb Photos but i can not download it in anywhere. The Galery is empty. What can I do ?

Many users have performed icloud restores and found all their photos gone.  You seem to have suffered the same outcome.  It's always advised that you sync photos to a computer for storage, as you do photos on a digital camera.  If you have been doing this, then you can sync photos from the computer back to the device.  If not, it looks like you have lost your photos.
I'm not sure what you mean by "Galery" - icloud does not have a gallery feature like MobileMe used to.

Sorry, don't know what you are asking. You have an old iPad Mini 3 and a new iPad Mini 3?  How did you set up the new iPad? Did you restore it from a backup of the old iPad? What photos are you not seeing?

My iPhone 5s is stolen and I want to restore iPhone photos from iCloud. I have use iCloud to backup the iPhone photos. Is there any way to restore my photos from iCloud to mac?

The backup of your iPod Touch would include your camera roll photos.  Restoring the backup to another iPod Touch or iPhone would recover them.  Photos will not be restored by restoring the backup to an iPad.
Note: Apple deletes iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so be sure to do this before then.

  • Recover photos from iCloud w/o iTunes or backup

A friend asked me today how to recover her photos from iCloud.  She was having a problem with her iPhone 5 and went to an Apple store.  They did a reset and told her that it would take some time, but eventually all her photos would be restored to the iPhone.  She had over 800 of them.  Her contacts, etc. are all there, but most of the photos are still not on the phone.
The biggest problem is that she doesn't have a computer, so she's never used iTunes.  I looked at her phone and iCloud is turned on and photos are checked to be backed up.
Got a bad feeling about this...

Thank you Kappy, but I am trying to avoid (in the setup process) restoring from a backup, as others have had success with battery life setting the phone up as a new device.
So I am essentially trying to merely be able to access the photos from the backup?!
More than likely a futile task, but thought I would try!

  • Does anyone know how to get photos from iCloud back on your iPhone?

I was having issues with my iPhone 4 not charging anymore. I went to the apple store today and ended up having to buy a replacment phone. When I was going through the set-up, I tried to do an iCloud restore but wasn't able to as the new iPhone didn't have the latest iOS 7 update. I asked the technician if I went through the set-up as a new iPhone if I was going to be able to retrieve my photos later. She said yes. So I proceeded the set-up as a new iPhone and the only thing that restored was my contacts. Am I able to somehow get my photos from iCloud and put them onto my new phone? Or are my pictures lost for good? Please help! Thanks in advance.

Are you referring to both Camera Roll photos and Photo Stream photos? If so, then you would need to do a restore of your new phone from your iCloud backup:
    RESTORE FROM ICLOUD BACKUP
If you are just talking about Photo Stream photos, then once you have your iCloud account signed onto your new phone, and you have turned on Photo Stream, then the last 30 days or 1000 photos should download to your device once you are connected to Wifi. It may take some time.

You should call Apple Support and give them your Apple ID so that they can verify how many photos you actually do have backed up in iCloud...
Also, are you able to do an iTunes backup at all? Because that would save all of the photos and allow you to get them onto the new device.

  • HT4847 Can I remove photos from icloud to open up more space?

I would like to move photos from icloud to my backup drive to free up space on icloud!  Is that possible?

The only photos stored on icloud are...
    1) photos in the camera roll that are included in a backup to icloud.  But you can turn off backups of such photos.
Settings>icloud>Storage & Backups>Manage Storage,  tap the device's name and on the next screen, be sure Camera Roll is turned OFF if you don't want to store photos in a backup.
    2) Photos stored in photo stream.  But these do not count against your storage, so it doesn't matter.
That's it.  There are no other photos on icloud that you can remove.

  • Enquiry: Retrieve photo from iCloud

Enquiry: How can I retrieve back photos from iCloud as previously, my phone were forced to reset. I've lost all the photos. Thanks.

You need to provide a little more information.
Are you using iCloud Photo Beta?
If not, have you been backing your device up to iCloud regularly?
When you reset your device, did you restore it from your last iCloud backup?

  • How to recover my photos from icloud?

    Hi,
I reset all my settings because I was having issues with my Iphone volume. I can't seem to access my photos or recover my photos from icloud. How can I recover my photo's from icloud as that is where they were being backed up.
    thanks,
    Gina

First, check if their physical footprint still exists. Go to Settings > General > Usage and check the amount of storage available, do you notice that there is a lot of used storage ? You can also check it through iCloud, which might show used memory labeled as Other.
I lost all my pictures and videos after jailbreaking my phone, yet iCloud showed that they are still taking physical memory (labeled as Other - iCloud did not recognise my pics or vids anymore). This means they cannot be viewed via Camera Roll but they are still stored in the phone.
To fix that, download iFunBox ( http://www.i-funbox.com ) and use it to locate and extract the images from the phone (no need for iCloud to access the phone). I managed to extract all my photos from the iphone to an external USB, which accumulated to over 20GB of photos and videos.
Use this method and you should recover your photos and videos with no previous backup. If your phone shows that there is a lot of empty storage, then your photos might have actually been completely removed.

Why is it when I get a new idevice and try to upload photos from iCloud onto my device there are always a large portion of photos missing?

Adding to fromsouth...  if you are restoring from a backup, then only photos in the camera roll are made available, not others.
If you are using photo stream, then only photos that have been on the stream server in the past 30 days (and a max of 1000 of them) are downloaded.  All others have been deleted, since photo stream is not a storage service, but a syncing service that allows you to sync photos over a 30 day window.

  • I recently upgraded to a new iPhone.  Everything transferred except my photos.  Can I retrieve my photos from iCloud and transfer them to my new phone?  My old phone has already been transferred to a new user.

Did you restore your iCloud backup?  That should recover camera roll photos.

  • Help! Missing family photos from icloud/atv3

The sad story starts here ... two months ago we had a break-in and they stole my MBA, my iMac and my iPad. Lost about a years worth of family photos (luckily I had backups for older photos).
However I switched on my ATV3 the other day (which they missed) and I can see some of my "lost" photos appearing.
So either these are cached on my ATV3 or being loaded from my Photo Stream.
I have a new MBP and although that has my photostream, it doesn't load older photos.
So I have two potential courses of action...
    a) somehow get the photos off my ATV3 ... which doesnt seem possible as there is no jailbreak option.
    b) somehow access the photos from icloud/photostream ... which doesn't seem possible as it doesnt load older photos.
Anyone out there found a workaround for this situation? I would really love to have these family photos back.

Photos and videos from your camera roll are backed up to iCloud when you do an iCloud backup.

  • Recovering photos from iCloud after a hard drive crash

Can I recover photos from iCloud to a Mac?  I know how to backup from iPhone, etc.  But I have someone who's hdd crashed and there were not using Time Machine.  They were using iCloud to what they think was backing up.  Thanks guys.

You can recover any photos on the phone that were backed up to the iCloud via iTunes by connecting the phone to a Mac, log in to your iCloud account in the System/iCloud preference pane, launching iTunes, selecting your iPhone and restore the iPhone from the backup.

  • My storage is almost full on iphone. How do I delete photos from icloud?

My storage is almost full on iphone. How do I delete photos from icloud?

You can just tap Delete Back Up, you don't need to turn off iCloud.
Deleting the backup only permanently deletes the backup from iCloud.  It doesn't do anything the the data currently on your phone.  You will want to create a new backup as soon as possible after doing this, however, as you won't have one until your do.  You can either intiate this manually to create one immediately by connecting your phone to your charger and to wifi, then going to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and tapping Back Up Now at the bottom (this will take some time to complete the first time), or you can just connect it to your charger and wifi before you go to bed and it should back up automatically (and continue to do so once daily).
You don't need to manually connect your phone to your computer to back up to wifi, but it's a good idea to create a second backup using iTunes occasionally in case your iCloud backup ever fails (I do this weekly).  To do this, connect your phone to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now.  (Your phone will continue to automatically back up to iCloud daily; this is just a second, manual backup, on your computer.)

  • TS4036 i cant get any photos from icloud on my new phone, how can i retrieve them?

i am unable to retrieve any photos from icloud on my new phone even though i had back up. All of my contacts have downloaded. Could anyone be of some help please thank you

OP you need to be more specific.  ARE you saying that they did not restore from your icloud backup? Or are you saying that they didn't show up under your photostream?
If its the 2nd one, because photos are only available to other devices in your photostream for 30 days. Beyond that, they only show on the original device.  To get around this, you can, on the original device, share them all to a shared photostream, inviting only yourself to share the photostream and them you'll be able to access them on the new device.  Fair warning, sharing them to the shared photostream can take some time so don't delete them till they all show up.
