You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera.
Open iphoto, connect iphone, cimport photos.

  • I am trying to download photos to mac from iphone 4s and keep getting message (unreadable files:315) which I say (OK).  Then it throws me out of downloading.  What can I do to get my photos downloaded to Mac?

Trying to download photos from iphone 4S to a MacBook Pro.  The process keeps getting interrupted/stopped with a notice (unreadable files:315).  When I click (OK), thinking it will download all other photos other than the 315, it stops downloading.  I did this thru Image Capture and also Import Photos in iPhotos.  Both did not work.  What can I do?

    Try:
    - Try another cable.
    - Try another USB port
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
If still problem then it appears the photo files on the iPod are corrupted or you have a hardware problem with the iPod

  • Transfer photo/video files from iPhone 5 to MacBook?

I was able to complete steps #1 and #2 of the iTunes help offered under "Transfer files from your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer" but for step #3, "Below File Sharing..."  there was no File Sharing menu or ability to choose the Photos app in my iPhone 5.  Where should I look for that or is there more de-tailed guidance available elsewhere?

Hook the phone to the computer, open the Computer icon and look for the iPhone folder. Copy the images. Not difficult at all. Sync your contacts with Outlook through iTunes. Not really so difficult.

  • How to send a photo via bluetooth from iphone 5s to laptop

how to send a photo via bluetooth from iphone 5s to laptop

Connectivity between an iPhone and a computer via Bluetooth is extremely limited. It supports tethering (hotspot or internet sharing) if your cellular plan allows that but does not support transfer of photos. You can import photos from the Camera Roll to the computer via USB or via wifi as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083

  • Where do photos backed up from iPhone get saved to?

Where do photos backed up from iPhone get saved to?

Had you read the instructions in the link provided, you wouldn't be asking.
All iPhoto photos are stored in a package. Moving the package to a new location moves ALL iPhoto photos and when selecting the iPhoto library package at the new location to launch iPhoto, iPhoto detects where the new location for the package is stored.

    Hi Soorya3d,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If both iPhones meet the requirements, you can use AirDrop to wirelessly transfer files between them. See this article for the requirements and steps to use AirDrop:

Can you transfer photos and videos from iPhone directly to flash drive?

SO you either need a computer or the internet?

  • How can I tell whether or not a photo I delete from iPhone will also be deleted from iPhoto on my Mac?

I would like to download the new iOS, however when I go to do that, a message tells me that I cannot because I need 4.6 GB of storage in order to install it. I only currently have 864 MB of storage available on my 16 GB iPhone 5s.
The storage problem would be fairly easy to solve through deleting photos and/or videos, as the Photos & Camera app shows a current usage of 5.7 GB. I am perfectly comfortable deleting photos off my iPhone if I know that they will remain in iPhoto on my Mac. However, when I select photos to delete, the phone warns me that the photo(s) will also be deleted from Photo Stream on all my devices. I tested this with some photos I didn't care about (whether or not they got permanently deleted from all devices), and it is perplexing, because even though the iPhone warned me that the photos would be deleted on other devices, they have not deleted out of iPhoto on my Mac. I even Quit iPhoto and re-started it, but the photos are still there. Why would the iPhone claim that the photos would be deleted from other devices, but yet clearly the photos are not being deleted from my other device? This leaves me confused and unsure.
Meanwhile, if I select a bunch of photos then click Delete, the phone warns me that SOME photos will also be deleted from Photo Stream on all my devices.
I am very annoyed by the ambiguity of the word "some," and not being able to know for sure whether or not photos I delete off my iPhone will still remain in iPhoto on my Mac.
I would just like a really clear answer if possible: currently all my iPhone photos are showing up in iPhoto on my Mac. If I delete photos off of my iPhone, will they or won't they be deleted from iPhoto on my Mac?
    Thanks if anybody can help.

If the Photos have been moved into the Library (Events, Photos, Faces, Places) in iPhoto on your Mac (either because you did it manually or as a result of iPhoto > Preferences > iCloud > Automatic Import being on) then nothing you do on the phone will delete them from iPhoto on your Mac.
If the Photos are ONLY in the Shared - iCloud section of iPhoto then you risk losing them as deleting them from Photo Stream will delete them from there.

  • Can photos in albums from iPhone be organized into the same album on Mac?

I have set up IFTTT to save photos I am tagged in from Facebook and add them to an album "Facebook tags" on my iPhone. When I sync my iPhone to my Mac, I would like for these photos to also be placed in an album on my Mac called "Facebook tags". Is this possible? Right now, when I sync my iPhone, the photos just get included with other photos that are from my camera roll.

You can solve this problem by making use of BOTH the "artist" field and the "album artist" field in iTunes.  In 95% of cases, they will be identical.  But when there are issues like you described -- the occasional guest artist, etc. -- then let the "artist" field handle that.  And let the "album artist" be the name of the main artist on the album.  Make sure all the songs in the album have the same "album artist", even if some of the songs have different "artists."  Your album will now contain all the songs.  I also utilize this feature when I am uploading a classical CD.  I use the artist field for the conductor, symphony orchestra, pianist, etc., who is actually performing on the album.  But I use the album artist for the actual composer of the music -- Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, etc.  This works well, too.

  • How to delete photos or songs from iPhone?m by deleting photos or songs

The Apps store tells me I can get an update on an App I downloaded, but to make room for it, I must first delete songs or photos. I have no clue how to do this without also deleting photos or songs from my Mac computer. Is there an easier (or smarter) way to make these deletions from the iPhone?
    Thanks.
    Ralph

If these pictures were transferred from your Mac and you use iPhoto for photo storage selecting iPhoto albums to be transferred to your iPhone, deselect the iPhoto albums under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync to remove the photos from your iPhone. If these were photos that were captured by your iPhone, use iPhoto to import the photos. When the import process is complete, iPhoto will prompt you to erase the imported photos from your iPhone just as when importing photos from any digital camera.
If you want to remove songs that were transferred to your iPhone and you choose an iTunes Playlist or Playlists to be transferred to your iPhone, remove the songs from the Playlist or Playlists in iTunes followed by a sync to remove the songs from your iPhone.
