Backup Programs,tables,domains,....

Hi All,
Here is my query.
Basically i need to take back up of objects seperately/as a req.
I have saved my objects(tables , domain, data element, programs...) in my request.
Is there any way like to take back of full Request (as binary file) or individual objects seperately?
if so how?
i think there must be a way....
Thx in Advance...

YOU MUST HAVE ACCESS TO THE FILE SYSTEM OF THE SAP SERVER. Then follow the steps below:
1. You must release the request. Remember the request number.
2. Go at the SAP server in the installation directory of SAP. (in Windows environment for example it will be: F:\usr\sap)
3. Go into directory "trans". In this directory you should have 2 subdirectories : "cofiles" and "data"
4. Go into "cofiles" and find files for your request. The name will be Kxxxxxx.YYY . Where xxxxxx is the number of you request, and YYY is the SAP name of your system (for ex. DEV). Copy the file(s).
5. Go into "data" and find files for your request. The name will be Rxxxxxx.YYY . Where xxxxxx is the number of you request, and YYY is the SAP name of your system (for ex. DEV). Copy the file(s).
That's all.
Next time you need to import the request on another server  just go into the same directories, paste the files, and from SAP , start transaction STMS, go to Other-> Add request, add your number of your request and import it.
That's all.
Please reward points if I helped you,

  • Backing up Exchange Server 2013 CU3 with Windows Server Backup Program

Looking at configuring Windows Server Backup Program to backup Exchange Server 2013 CU3 which is a member a DAG Group using a specific Backup Domain Account.
From my understanding from the following technet Article" Using Windows Server Backup to Backup and Restore Exchange Data" at  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd876851(v=exchg.150).aspx I cannot use wbadmin.exe has it uses an older
    unsupported version of Powershell.
My question is what are the minimum AD rights required for an AD account needed to be able to backup/restore Exchange Datastore using Windows Server Backup Program in Windows Server 2012?
    Thanks,
    NIck

    Hi Sathish,
After looking at your response, it all make sense except when I look at what exchange right assigned via RBAC.  I understand that the backup service account will require access to the exchange databases
to be able to backing and restoring them.  After looking at the different roles
I'm wondering if I require to assign both the Databases roles for Backing up the databases and the Disaster Recovery Role as well to be able to restore the databases has well as having a mailbox on the exchange
server for the backup service account?
Below is explanation of the roles via the ECP
    Database Role
This role enables administrators to create, manage, mount and dismount mailbox and public folder databases on individual servers.
    Disaster Recovery
This role enables administrators to restore mailboxes and database availability groups in an organization.
    Thanks,
    Nick

  • How do I get my files from apple's "Backup" program onto my computer?it

I just upgraded to the new operating system on my Macbook Pro. I had Tiger on it, and things kept getting messed up. The people at the Apple store recommended doing an "erase and install" so that it clears out all of the old program info. Prior to doing this I used Apple's "Backup" program that used to come with .Mac account to backup my information to my external hard drive. Now that I have the new OS installed I want to use the backup that I created right before I erased my hard drive to restore things back to the computer (Iphoto library, Itunes, files, Mail settings, etc.) I went to the backups folder and all I see is a bunch of folders. Isnt there supposed to be some way to put them all in their original locations? I need to get my Mail settings and bookmarks back from my Safari settings. I am really new to all of this, and thought I did things the correct way... but I am getting extremely frustrated since it does not seem to be as "easy" as the employee at the store made it out to be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, you will need the Backup program along with the backups you created. Time Machine and Backup are not the same.
You can re-download Backup from your iDisk where you got it originally. It isn't available elsewhere.
See Mac OS X 10.5- When to use Time Machine or .Mac Backup to back up data.

  • .MAC Backup Program

My version of Backup has gone haywire. I was using 3.0 and after a System Software Update Backup no longer worked properly. When I open Backup, non of the menu items such as "new plan, rename plan, remove plan, history, edit plan, backup now, restore, etc. are available for use. So, I downloaded the most recent version, Backup 3, Version 3.1 (v356). I still have no access to this program. When I open the Backup program a window opens showing my "Migrated Drive Plan, next backup schdeuled for April 7, 2006 at 3:00 AM." When I highlight this plan the radio buttons for "restore" and "backup" do not become active. Therefore, I can't do anything even after download of the most recent version. Thanks for any help, Bruce

It seems that you made a wrong turn on the main page of Apple Discussions & ended up in the forum dedicated to the word processing/page layout application, Pages. This is very easy to do with so many folders within folders. I think you'll get the best response to your questions in the .Mac Backup forum. The path to that forum is Discussions: Digital LIfe > .Mac Forums > Backup.

  • Best backup program for iPhone 3GS??

I am looking for the BEST backup program for the above - not only a program which makes backups of the programs, but ALO the contents of the programs - of everything! Any recommendations, thanks!

I agree with the first reply UNLESS your iPhone is not being backed up by iTunes because it gets stuck. I actually just posted a question in re to this problem. For all you Apple owners I know, I should've bought an Apple. Well, I've owned three iMacs in the last 3 years and they are fabulous computers- u just didn't have 1300 laying around this time so I got a pretty powerful PC for 600.
Anyway, my point being iTunes works great as a backup app for the iPhone. I just think my issue is I'm using Windows 7 64-bit with iTunes 64-bit and there might be some glitch because as soon as I click the 'x' besides "Backing up iPhone..,." it syncs fine, I just don't have a backup. Unfortunately I didn't get the Apple protection plan for the iPhone, but I doubt it's the phone anyway. Thanks.

  • Info. / Doc. on Changes to Standard SAP Program, Tables, Fields in SAP 6.0

We are in the process of upgrading our SAP from 4.6c to 6.0 and I am looking for a document or white paper that summarizes changes to Standard SAP Programs, Tables/Fields, Function Modules etc.. from what used to be in SAP 4.6c to what it is in SAP 6.0.  I am not sure if such a comprehensive document exists or is posted in the forum.
Any help or information in this regard will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    ram

    Hi Ram,
<<   We are in the process of doing our technical upgrade from SAP 4.6c to 6.0. I am looking for a white paper or documentation listing the changes made to the standard SAP Programs, Tables, Fields, Function Modules etc. from Rel. 4.6c to 6.0. >>
Do you want to know what custom changes were done to SAP standard objects in your system or do you want to know what changes SAP did from 4.6c to ECC6.0.
There is no white paper or documentation to find out custom changes made to SAP standard objects. but there were many tools in the market to find out and tell what changes were done to sap standard objects in your system.
Your question seems ambiguous please clear it.
    Thanks,
    Kiran.

I need a free backup program that is comparable to Silverlining

    Hello
I just started using Time Machime and I was a little worried about it trashing some of the older files when it needs space.
It deletes oder files when the drive is full.
However, it does not simply delete the oldest files.
It deletes the oldest files that you have already updated.
For example, if you create a document/file, then update that same document a week later, they will both be in TM.
When the drive gets full, only the 1st copy will be deleted since it is no longer on your HD.
If the file is still on your HD, it will remain in TM.
I have a 2TB drive for TM and the earliest backup is from March of last year so very doubtful you will have sometthing deleted you don't want to.
However, if it is that important, it should not be deleted from your HD (which will keep it from getting deleted from TM)  or you should make a copy of it elsewhere.
I use SuperDuper! for additional, bootable backups and I recommend you spend the $$ for something you find useful.

  • Backup desired tables in oracle

How to backup desired tables in oracle?
I guess we can create a new tablespace and move all the desired tables and back it up by using this query
    ALTER TABLESPACE <TABLESPACE_NAME> BEGIN BACKUP
    please post your suggestions
    Regards,
    Pavan

    Hi Pavan,
You can go with exp/imp options or you can create a duplicate table likean e.g
    create table table_backup as select * from <table_name> ;

  • Backup/Restore Tables

    hi experts,
How can I Backup/Restore MaxDB Tables? Actually I want to copy Tables along data from instance to another.
Please give me step by step procedure to achieve the task.
    thanks in advance
    nikhil

    Hello,
to backup and restore a database you can use the dbmcli http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_7/44/dcdbec10916c31e10000000a114a6b/content.htm.
When you want to use the loader to backup some tables you have to keep in mind that the loader is an ETL tool and was not designed for backup purposes.
Things like consistence between tables are not guaranteed and you have to resolve this in your application.
The loadercli and the dbmcli can be used via JDBC using the powertoys extension.

  • OS update breaks "Backup" program

    Hi,
A recent OS update seems to have had a bizarre effect on Apple's "Backup" program. (To be clear: I'm referring to the Apple-made software named "Backup", NOT time machine. This program has an umbrella icon and was originally offered as a download to Dot Mac customers.)
Basically, the Backup program no longer backs up files outside my user home directory! In fact, I am no longer able to add files outside my home directory to a backup plan.
I'm not sure which update specifically caused the problem -- as this was a silent change to backup behavior --, but it was within the last few months.
Has anyone else observed this problem? Is there a solution?
    Thanks,
    Mike

Backup has it's own forum, well-hidden in the +Mobile Me+ part of the +Digital Life+ section.

It works fine for me. But there are some restrictions/recommendations here: [MobileMe: Backup intended for backing up files in your Home folder, but not your entire startup disk|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1061].
Given the warning about restoring such things there, I'd not depend on those backups.
What version of Backup are you on? It was updated to 3.2 in April.
Where are the files in question?
If they're in places that ought to work, per that article, try it with some different files; and/or make a small Test plan with some small files from such places.
If the backup runs, but fails or omits things, take a look at the log. Double-click the Plan in the main window, select the History tab, and double-click the "event" in question.

  • Lightroom files still found by backup program after uninstall

I uninstalled Lightroom, because it was too slow on my computer. It put a lot of library files and directories in My pictures folder.
When I use a backup program (SyncbackSE) to backup my pictures, it starts to scan all the Lightroom library files and it takes forever (hours and counting). Even though Windows cannot find the directories (with hidden and system files shown).
I want to completely delete the Lightroom directories, because now I can't backup my images anymore. It is a pain in the dark places.
    Any suggestions?

Lightroom does not delete data files (catalog, previews and other items) on uninstall. You would have to delete these things by hand.
I am not familiar with your backup program, but can't you simply tell it not to back up those directories you don't want?

  • [Solved] Basic Backup Program w/ GUI?

    Hey guys,
After a bunch of tinkering and playing around with things I know that sometime in the future I going to have to do a reinstall.  I'm look for a system backup tool.  I have a tar script that works good but editing it is kinda a pain, su, vi, scroll deep into the line...  I'd like a basic backup tool that I can add files as I think of them (/etc/rc.conf, /etc/fstab...) with a line like "kdesu backuptool".  And I'd like a basic one.  I don't need things like automated backups, restore points...  Anyone got a thought on a basic backup tool that I could use?

Ok, phew!  Alot of testing .  I stated I wanted a real basic backup solution and most of these are pretty good.  I really like the KISS philosophy and just wanted something that just works.  Here's a quick overview of the backup programs I tried:
sbackup - didn't try - loads gnome-desktop and a whole load of dependencies so didn't try
luckybackup - only does one source directory per task.  Yes you can select many tasks to run at the same time but setting up a good 50-60 different files/folders would have taken a good amount of time.
backintime - (offshoot of flyback) can only do folders
    peazip - broke in AUR
Q7z- can only select one directory
I tried all the suggestions but grsync which I need to get to.  I did find Kbackup though and since I'm a KDE user if fit in nice.
It's nice and basic: just select the files I need and hit backup.  It also has tray support.  It's not perfect though.  At the time, it doesn't compress or split the archive but I guess it's not big deal to do myself.
Will look at grsync though after that I think I'm done.

sorry, i fail to understand. if your music is on the external, changes or new music would be done on/going to the external. so when the drive remounts what will be there to recognize ?
do you have a separate library on the external and your startup disk ? or did you split one library, partly on the internal and the rest on the external ?
also, why are you posting in the time machine forum (TM, incidentally, is a backup program) and not in the iTunes forum ?

  • HT1175 will time capsule backup programs?

    Will Time Capsule backup Programs?

Great!  That answers one question.  Some of the "programs" are Mac and some are Windows but they are all in the Applications folder on my computer so I guess it will back them up.
Next question...I'm asking this because Apple is giving me a new hard drive because they have determined that my Seagate HD may have some issues so mine is being included in a voluntary fix.  I am performing a full backup and hope (and assume) that once I get the new HD installed, I will just be able to update my computer form the backup on the external HD and that my computer will be back to normal.  Is that right? OR, am I also going to have to reinstall all those programs on my new HD?
