Backup/sync has stopped working

My backup/sync stopped working in the middle of a backup three days ago.  But PSE7 shows that backup/sync is working normally (green arrows).  It also shows files pending back up.  Synchronization is turned on for the album's needing back up.
I have tried pausing and restarting sync, restarting PSE7, and rebooting.  Nothing works.
HELP!!!!

No raw files.
But the backup/sync agent sent a message to my computer at startup that
stated that it could not find an Internet connection and has been unable to
backup for the last five days.  The computer has been continuously connected
to the Internet through a cable connection every day through that time
span.  So the backup/sync agent cannot find the Internet for some reason.
Is there a way to reset that?

  • MobileMe and iOS 4- Syncing Has Stopped Working

Since "upgrading" to iOS 4, MobileMe Calendar Syncing has stopped working. This is the worst upgrade. Slow iPhone, spotty usability, and now MobileMe syncing isn't working.
Anyone else having the same problem? Any fixes. I've tried the usual. Push: On, MobileMe Sync: On, etc....

Like you, I ran into MobileMe synchronisation problems after I upgraded my iPhone’s software to iOS 4. I have an iMac running under Mac OS X version 10.6.4 and a 3G iPhone. I was able to solve the problem with the following “brute-force” (but very simple) sequence, which I also used after prior iPhone software updates and it has always worked for me. Note that it involves the removal of all contacts and calendars from the iPhone so if you are worried that you may not succeed in copying the data back, you may want to look for another solution.
    (1) Make sure that MobileMe is synchronized with iCal and Address Book:
    Open MobileMe Sync Preferences
Click on the “Sync Now” button
    (2) Back-up the data in the iCal and Address Book applications (just in case):
File / Export / iCal Archive
File / Export / Address Book Archive
    (3) To avoid erasing the data on the computer if something goes wrong:
    Open MobileMe Sync Preferences
    Select the “Sync” tab
    Un-check “Synchronize with MobileMe”
    (4) On the iPhone:
    Settings / Mail, Contacts, Calendars
In the “Accounts” section, select the MobileMe account
    Turn “Contacts” off
    Select “Delete from My iPhone”
    Turn “Calendars” off
    Select “Delete from My iPhone”
    (5) Check that all contacts and calendars have been deleted from the iPhone, then do:
    Settings / Mail, Contacts, Calendars
In the “Accounts” section, select the MobileMe account
    Turn “Contacts” on
    Turn “Calendars” on
    (6) Wait (it may take a while) until all contacts and calendars have been updated on the iPhone, then do:
    Open MobileMe Sync Preferences
    Select the “Sync” tab
    Check “Synchronize with MobileMe”
After having done all this, changes made to contacts or calendars on the iMac or iPhone were properly synchronized with MobileMe. You may have tried something similar without success, but if you have not, hopefully the above will work for you too.

  • My external hard drive (Seagate backup plus) has stopped working on my macbook 10.8.5

I've been using Seagate Backup Plus for a year now and suddenly it has stopped working on my Macbook Pro (mountain lion 10.8.5). When I plug it in, it lights up and I can hear it running, but it won't show on my macbook. I've checked on Disk Utility but it won't recognise the hard drive. I also tried going on Terminal to see if my hard drive is listed by putting "diskutil list", and it's not. I also make sure that external hard drives are visible on Finder. Since my hard drive is on NTFS format, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the NTFS drive, and still it won't work.
My hard drive is working perfectly on other devices and PCs so I'm sure the problem is on my macbook. Usb ports of my macbook are also working perfectly.
    Please help. Thanks.

Open Disk Utility (Applications>Utilities folder) and format the disk as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" with a single GUID partition. Your Mac should see the drive and you should be able to use if for backups, storage, etc.

  • ITunes Wifi sync has stopped working

iTunes has stopped syncing over wifi with my iPhone 5S and iPad Mini. It's always been a bit flaky, but has recently stopped working completely. iTunes will not see the devices unless I either reboot them, or plug them in with the Thunderbolt cable, deselect and select "sync with this device over wifi" and apply. If I try to use wifi sync, iTunes gives me a "looking for device" message and then drops the connection.
My set up is a Mac Pro running 10.10, hooked up to an Airport Express via Cat 6. Both iOS devices are on iOS 8.
I have tried changing the IPV6 settings on both my machine and my Airport Express, resetting the network settings on both iOS devices, and flushing my machine's DNS cache.
I see the following messages repeated in my system log:

  • Home sync has stopped working

I am running a mac mini server with server 3 app. I have a mobile account on a MBP and a MacBook Air. The Air has stopped syncing to the server. Everything is running 10.9.4.
I have checked in the user setting and the server is still linked to the computer, it has the right DNS settings.
I have rebuilt the permissions on both the MBA and the Server. My home folder is set to the User folder on the server.
The last sync was 3/7/14. When I manually click sync it starts and finishes in 3 seconds.
Have searched many forums and can't find an answer to my problem.
I have an older MBA (10.9.4) that works fine, and an White MB - no problems there. My MBP

  • Sync has stopped working: Wrong Recovery Key

I use firefox sync, it was going ok for months (since I started using it anyway - when FF got that new interface),
now suddenly I keep seeing an error message about a "Wrong Recovery Key".
How can I fix this problem, I have done nothing to change any key. Why has it suddenly stopped working?

    Hey Coxy!
I got a answer. :) You are not the only one to have seen this error.
    '''Reply from Sync developer:'''
We've seen occasional instances of this in the past; things they can try in increasing order of brutality:
    1) Disconnect from sync and re-connect
    2) Go through the password reset flow on their FxA account
    3) Delete and re-create their FxA account
Hopefully the first will resolve it.
For the first one, you will need to go into the Sync preferences area of Firefox and click a "Disconnect" button. Then I believe the button will change to "Connect" or "Reconnect". Maybe wait a minute after disconnecting to give Sync time to do it properly then press the connect/reconnect button.
Let me know whatever ends up fixing the problem for you.

  • SYNC has stopped working

I am running OVI suite 2.2.1.23 with an N78.  I sync my outlook contacts and calender with the N78.  This worked fine when I did this 10 days ago.  However, now nothing happens.  Any suggestions?  I have just updated Firefox to 3.6.10, and a 'Firefox Synchronisation Extension' has been disabled 'due to incompatibility'.  Could this have something to do with my problem?  I don't want to Sync with any online databases, but does OVI Suite try and do this anyway?
    Thanks in advance.  Tony

    Hi tpat,
Could you please remove the device through Ovi Suite Settings -> Remove this device.  Restart Ovi Suite and then re-introduce the device back to the Ovi Suite.
This operation cleans out the stored device settings and may solve the issue.
Please THANK me by clicking on the ****WHITE STAR** ( Giving KUDOS) the big GREEN BOX to your LEFT .

  • HTC Sync has stopped working since installation of Gingerbread

As the category of this board would suggest, I have an HTC Droid Incredible phone.
I am running Outlook 2007 on a Windows 7 OS platform.
I have been running HTC Sync between phone and Outlook for 1.5 years.
As I use Outlook as my MASTER contacts list, and since I NEVER add or modify a contact on my phone, the contacts on the phone are expendible!
NOTE: I am ONLY syncing CONTACTS. (Calendar is already stored in Google Calendars, and that's still working perfectly.)
I have an older version of HTC Sync (2.0.25) on my computer, because I was advised some time ago by Verizon Wireless Support to use THAT version.
Only days ago Verizon upgraded my phone's OS to "Gingerbread" (Android Version 2.3.4, build 4.08.605.2).
NOW when I try to sync, I get these error messages on computer:
    Result: Synchronization failed
    Errors: 2 General
Error due to: Connection to mobile phone timed out
In the past, if I had trouble with HTC Sync, normally I would delete all contacts on phone and "repair" via HTC Sync, overwriting phone with Outlook. But I'm afraid that if I try that, and HTC Sync still does not work, I will have to start loading contacts on phone MANUALLY, and I have THOUSANDS of contacts I use/need.
    Please advise.

WOW! I had NOT seen that website! I was Google'ing for solutions before I was interrupted by other stuff. I'll have to look thru this website.
I found ANOTHER supposed funtioning software: http://www.pppindia.com/contacts-sync/
I installed it, tried it, no dice. I have really good Anti-Virus software, I'm even shutting it off and turning it back on while testing. Hmmm....
So thanx AGAIN! I'll keep you (and this board) informed if I find something that works for me.

  • Outlook Calendar Sync has stopped working

Prior to iTunes 7.4.X, Outlook Calendar Sync was working OK.
Now, it does not. No new calendar entries posted in Outlook following the installation of iTunes 7.4.X make it into the iPhone.
I've tried all the usual tricks - reinstall iTunes, reset the iPhone, nothing helps.
    Any ideas out there?

hi, thanks, i tried that as described here in the troubleshooting faq - no improvement.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305845
here's what i noticed however, there's not a second add-in as described in the doc. the Outlook iTunes Sync add-in is missing on the system entirely. after re-installing, iTunes, it's still not there and so can't be added through browsing to the iTunes dir and therefore i can't select it.
where can you get this second add-in? also following these instructions, i deselected the microsoft outlook mobile service add-in which sounds like it might be needed. ??
    thanks for any help.

  • Confused, Since last CC app Update Core Sync continually stops working.

This is occurring with a window popping up stating 'Core Sync has stopped working' more than once an hour, on both my laptop and desktop, both running Windows 7 64bit.
I just spent over 40 minutes on the phone with adobe tech support, to finally be told to turn file sync off in the creative cloud app at some point, and then being instructed to sign out and sign back in to the CC app, whereupon I was told the issue was fixed.
I asked if I could turn sync back on, and was told no, as the problem would recur. I asked then how I was supposed to use file sync then, and the tech simply disconnected. Shortly after this, the window popped up again though file sync was still paused.
So spending this time has solved nothing, I still have this problem on both my computers, support simply bailed on me, and I'm paying $50/month for this...and the window just popped up again.
How do I fix this other than simply turning the creative Cloud app off? I have looked through the forums some, but only seemed to find problems and not solutions.

I have the same problem, on a Windows 7 Pro computer (Dell Vostro 64-bit)
    Description:
I updated Adobe Creative Cloud application, then some of the Adobe applications, about three days ago.

    Nokia 7610, with USB connection
    PC Suite 6.7.22
Have tried the following but nothing happened. Also not sure of the effectiveness of the cleanup utility as when I reinstalled PC Suite it had remembered my Synch preferences from last time!
    - ininstalled PC Suite
    - run the cleanup utility
    - reinstalled PC Suite
Hope someone can help as I'm completely lost without the ability to sync my 2 calenders!!

Do you get the connection to work OK, I hope so (for example, can you see the phone in PC Suite file manager and move files to phone and from phone ?
That would indicate that connection is OK.
Have you tried recreating syncronisation settings from your PC Sync (select settings, create new settings) ?Message Edited by manta on 10-Apr-2006

[Important] Backup your bookmarks, I use IE, so I exported them to a bookmarks.htm file for safe keeping. (I also deleted my Cookies and temporary Internet Files, just for good measure)
    Uninstall iCloud control panel
    Reboot your PC
Once rebooted. Go to your user profile area, Favorites. Delete all your bookmarks under Favorites. (C:\Users\<yourusername>\Favorites\..)
Download the latest iCloud control panel from Apple. v3.1.0.40 was what I downloaded. Save the exe, don't run it yet.
Right click the iCloudSetup.exe and Run As Administrator.
    Reboot
Login, open the iCloud Control Panel. Sign in with your apple ID.
I am only syncing Bookmarks. So tick Bookmarks. Options->tick Internet Explorer. Click OK.
    Click Apply.
If you then browse (using Windows Explorer) to C:\Users\<yourusername>\Favorites\.., within seconds you should see your Bookmarks appear, downloaded from iCloud. Check with your iPhone/iPad to see if they match up.
This has worked for me so far, and there are no AppleIEDav errors (yet).
WARNING: if you currently sync your photostream, AND you sign-out of iCloud Control Panel, or if you uninstall it, I'm not sure what effect it will have the photostream on your PC. So please be cautious.

  • Desktop Manager Has Stopped Working @ Processing Device Calendar During Sync Process

I have a BB 8330 and have an annoying issue....it sync'd with MS Outlook for about 2 months after i got it then I started getting an error inthe sync process "Blackberry Desktop Manager Has Stopped Working, Windows is shutting it Down"....this always happens at the exact same point inthe sync process..."Processing Device Calendar".
I've done everything, Verizon tech support...BB tech support...uninstall/reinstall...nothing has fixed it. I even deleted everything out of outlook and started over. The odd thing is that everything EXCEPT the calendar will sync....it's just when it gets to the "processing device calendar" is stops syncing and I get the 'DM Has stopped working' error and it closes.
I am going to scream if I can't get this fixed...it's been going on since last October!!
    Any fixes out there?

Hmm. That may be something in your calendar database is corrupt. Was your device ever synched before? There is a way of clearing the calendar database. So if you have your device synching with Outlook, after it's cleared from the BlackBerry, you could try synching again.
To clear the calendar database you can go into Desktop Manager | Backup and Restore | Advanced. On the right hand side select the calendar database and hit the Clear button. Afterwards try synching again
