Backward- Forward and Forward- Backward
Hi, all!
Can you explainfor me about +Backward- Forward and Forward- Backward+ in General Setting-> Inventory tab-> Planning.
I don'nt understand it, can you make clealy
Thank you!
Hi....
Consumption Method there are two available methods of forecast consumption
by the Sales Order:
Backward- Forward In this method, the Sales Order first goes
backwards to 'consume' the forecast which is closest to the Due Date of
the order and continues to the first day of the range if required (as
defined in Days Backward field below),
After that, if no forecast is found (or the forecast, which was consumed,
was insufficient) the Sales Order goes from the Order's due date and
forward (see an example below).
Forward- Backward - In this case the sales order goes forward to
'consume' the forecast which is closest to the Due Date of the order and
continues up to the last day of the range if needed (as defined in Days
Forward field below). After that, if no forecast is found (or the forecast,
which was consumed, was insufficient) goes from the Order's due date
and backward.
Days Backward - Defines the maximum number of days for the Sales Order to go
backwards in order to 'consume' the forecast.
Days Forward - Defines the maximum number of days for the Sales Order to go
forward in order to 'consume' the forecast.
If you are not yet understand you can search in SAP Portal a note that related to that.
Or if you want, you can send me your email address and i will send you the PDF file about MRP.
It has complete explanation for you to know.

Lina Yuanita

What are the parameters "page-forward" and "page-backward" used for?
In the LIMITS section of the Netscape Calendar Server configuration
documentation, there are two parameters called "page-forward" and
"page-backward." The default setting for these parameters is FALSE. However,
it is unclear what these parameters are used for.

With previous versions of Calendar Server, you could scroll one page forward
or one page backward through the user search screens. However, with the
implementation of LDAP in later versions, the options have been disabled in
the client.

Although the page-forward and page-backward parameters are documented in the
Administrator guides for Calendar Server versions 3.5 and 4.0, the guides
state that the default value of FALSE for both parameters cannot be
changed. In actuality, the parameters can be changed. However, the reason
that users should not change these parameters is that versions 3.5 and 4.0
do not support the page-forward and page-backward capabilities. So to avoid
errors, please do not change these parameters from the default value of FALSE.if AdobeRGB is the more professional working space, then why not use that profile?
on the web (and in unmanaged and broken work flows) sRGB is the safest profile (source space)
just open your tagged Adobe RGB and tagged ProPhoto RGB document (use the embedded profile in each document)
and go to View> Proof Setup: Monitor RGB (notice the loss in saturation? that's how most of the people on the Internet will be viewing your color, assuming you have a standard-gamut monitor like most people)
always CONVERT to sRGB for the World Wide Web
i didn't read your link
anyone who recommends "disable color management in Photoshop" -- set Working RGB to "Monitor RGB" -- AND MOST UNBELIEVABLY -- "Don't color manage this document" (ignore embedded profiles) ------ is pretty mixed up (in my opinion)
i will recommend reading JEFF SCHEWE and BRUCE FRASER for professional color management information -
Dirrerence between backward scheduling and forward scheduling
hi Friends,
This is madhusudhan i need diff b/w backward scheduling and forward scheduling
plz do the needfull asapHi,
Backward scheduling is the calculation of deadline dates: the arrival time at the customer site is calculated as the earliest possible goods receipt time at the customers unloading point on the requested delivery date. All four of the delivery and transportation scheduling lead times are subtracted from the customers requested delivery date to determine if this date can be met.
The transit time, loading time, and pick/pack time are subtracted from the customers requested delivery date to calculate the required material availability date.
The system calculates backward scheduling as follows:
Requested delivery date minus transit time = Goods issue date
Goods issue date minus loading time = Loading date
Loading date minus transportation lead time = Transportation scheduling date
Loading date minus pick/pack time = Material availability date
Forward scheduling is also done if no product is available on the material availability date calculated by backward scheduling. The system does an availability check to determine the first possible date when product will be available. This new material availability date forms the starting point for scheduling the remaining activities. The loading time, pick/pack time, transit time, and transportation lead time are added to the new material availability date to calculate the confirmed delivery date.

Navigating forwards and backwards in one file using Xcode text editor.
Hi all,
I come from a Visual Studio background, so here goes...
In VS, there is two very convenient buttons called "Navigate Forwards" and "Navigate Backwards", which allows me to jump back and forth to the locations that I have last edited; the only thing that comes close that I have found is for jumping back and forth between files. I searched everywhere and can't find equivalent functions in Xcode 3, please help!
Thanks,
KeThanks. From what I've read in the developer's guide, CKEditor was available with assets built from the Flex model. However, I'm currently having a hard time trying to display the content of an attribute with content input through the CKEditor, because it's stored in a blob. Although I've found several examples showing how to read the content of a blob, none of them worked for me...

The effects of mentioning forward and backward consumption period under 40?
Dear all,
If I have mentioned strategy group 40 in material and by consumption mode as 2 and backward consumption and forward consumption period as 100 days,
what will be the implication of this if i do the MRP run?
regards,
SanjuHi,
Normally you will enter PIR for weeks or Months in MD61, if you use Strategy type 40 and consumption mode as 2, backward days as 100 and forward days as 100,
If a sale order comes the system will first take the backward 100 days and consume the PIR, and then forward for remaining sale order qty (if any).
For ex. Sale order qty 1000,
Last 100 PIR total qty (for last three months / last 100 days): 700
In future PIR qty for 100 days = 2000
then the system will consumes the 700 from the backward period and 300 from the forward period, then PIR becomes (backward = 0 (all are consumed), forward =1700 (300 consumed by the sale order)
Thanks,

Forward and backward list is gone. Sucks.
I don't like much about the new Firefox, and will probably try to go back to earlier version. Especially hate that page forward and page backward full list is gone. I used to be able to see a whole list of previous pages, and could skip to one 10 pages back. Now I have to page by page by page by page by page by page by page by page by page, and I'm on dial up some of the time, for God's sake. Forget this.
And hey, where'd all these add-ons come from? I didn't ask for all these!!!You can also look at this extension:

Is there a way to use the common J-K-L keystrokes to play forward and backward in iMovie '11?
Is there a way to use the common J-K-L keystrokes to play forward and backward in iMovie '11? Most editing apps--like Final Cut Pro, QuickTime Pro, Avid, etc.--use this convention. I find not having it slows editing down considerably? I don't see it listed in keyboard shortcuts; is there any way to add it? Thanks!
I don't think so. If you click iMovie/Help, you will see a list of all keyboard shortcuts.
Here they are.

I'm looking for a music player that can skip forward and backwards a few seconds?
I'm looking for a music player app that can skip forward and backwards a few seconds?
MPD rocks, runs here for months without major problems.
The client side is very flexible, you can choose many players:

For X, for console, etc..
Edit:
MPD supports Icecast also, to create streams.

I like to be able to navigate backwards and forwards without having to scroll down and find where I was previously. In Firefox Four, when using the forwards and back buttons, the page will automatically return to the top of the page. Is there any way to change this setting in Firefox Four to prevent it from doing that?
Thanks for the response. No Time Machine, but I probably have a backup from a few months ago on an external hard drive. :/ I guess it'd have useful history, but not if it overwrote the last 3 months or so of Awesome Bar, that might not be so great.

Is there a URL equivalent of backward and forward?
I was wondering if there special URLs that are the equivalent to backward/forward. My backward and forward work fine and I know about Alt-LeftArrow and Alt-RightArrow.
I am asking if there is something that can be typed into the URL bar that is the equivalent of these. In few words, "No." There is no such client for the Mac. The closest you may find would be to try the Mac MSN client, aMSN - VersionTracker or MacUpdate - but it's essentially just a messenger clone. I doubt it includes a Live Mail client.
(Please don't suggest changing email accounts - I've asked this question elsewhere and that was the only response I got!)
Because there is no other response. -

I want to know what is backward and forward consumption
dear exports
i want to know what is backward and forward consumption , how maintain in mrp view plz reply meHi,
Consumption mode and consumption period are maintained in MRP 3 view .In strategy 40 when sales order is submitted it see the availability of PIR for consumption. The consumption mode decides the way of looking the PIR (i.e. If 3- It will look into forward direction like this) and consumption period states the limitation of looking.
e.g.
If MODE is 3 and forward period is 30 days then the sales order will look the PIR in next 30 days and if mode 1 and period is 45 days then it will look the PIR in past 45 days.

How Can Viewers skip forward and backward between timelines!?
You can skip forward and backward through chapters that are on the same timeline but I can't skip backward to a timeline that came before the one I'm on. I thought this was an easy question someone must know the answer to this. I just need to check what I'm saying.
So I have 4 timelines
I put chapter markers at the end of each timeline so that people could skip forward to the next timeline if they wanted to. If there was no chapter marker at the end of the timeline then the timeline would have to be played to completion before going to the next. You would not be able to skip forward at all. The problem I'm having is that you cannot go backward to the timeline that came before.
So if I have a chapter at the end viewers are able to skip forward to the next timeline but they can't skip back.
Alright so Menu Remote settings do not work for Blu-ray discs either so you cannot use that setting to go backward from one timeline to the previous.
Is there anywhere to set that the first chapter of one timeline can somehow link back to the last chapter in a previous timeline or is it just impossible to go backward?
Isn't there anyone who knows how to skip backward from one timeline to the previous? I cannot find a action for this in encore.Hi simonfrommount isa,

I can no longer back-delete or hit return to make a new paragraph, nor can i use the arrows to go backwards and forwards in a line; it's like the fn key is stuck; i've taken it off and cleaned it, and it looked clean.
Then it's time for a new keyboard. If you are still under warranty, call AppleCare.

Explain How delivery date is calculated using backward and forward schedul
How can anyone please explain how delivery date is calculated using forward and backward scheduling
I want to have it broken down into the following steps
for eg for delivery date calculation following dates are used
Material Availabilty Date
Material Staging Date
Pick/pack time
Transportation PLanning date
Loading date
Goods issue date
Transit Date
Delivery Date
Can some one please give me an example and explain wht these dates are
for eg customer needs delivery date on 11/20/2008
how would the system cacluate whether it can meet the delivery date using backward scheduling
and if it doesnt meet how does the system do the forward scheduling
also i am not clear with the following dates
material avaialibilty date
material staging date
transportation date
can some one please explain me all this in detail
ThanksHi,
Basically this is the CRSD(Customer requested ship date logic)logic in which system calculates the ship date depends upon the material availability. If material is available system calculates ship date on the basis of master data maintained in customisation.Master data is maintained in the following link.
If material is not available then system takes into consideration vendor delivery date & then calculate customer ship date.
Please go through the link in SPRO
LE-Shipping -Basic shipping functions-Scheduling -Delivery scheduling & Transportation scheduling-Maintain duration.
In customisation following data is maintained
Material Availabilty Date
Material Staging Date
Pick/pack time
Transportation PLanning date
Loading date
Goods issue date
Transit Date
Delivery Date
Hope you got the idea of CRSD calculation

Prashant.
