Bad Apple experience/turn off grifical extra;s leopard

So I give up! It started with my iBook a few weeks ago. A burned adapter. My Girl burn her fingers and a big flame came out of it (were lucky becouse we were home).. iBook dead, no service!
Now my iMac has trouble. Greenblocks (ghost pixels) broken Ati X1600 video card. To bad no support. Also a G3 iBook broke down, and my old G5 iMac. Also a year ago the monitor of my Power Mac!
I give up Apple! I like the looks and the OS, but the hardware s*cks hard! Worse service, worse support and worse helpdesk! No more apple for me!

My Apple Tv turn off automaticaly after up grade the version... how to turn on or restart the apple tv?

I think you are referring to "sleep". Apparently upgrade "knows better" what you want and overwrites your settings. This common with arrogant programmers who do not test their software properly.
If you ar referring to "sleep" then please go to Settings->General->Sleep After and change to "Never" or any number of hours available.

Have you held the menu and left arrow together for 6 secs ?  (I think you have from what you say).
Also try unpowering and restarting AppleTV.

  • Apple tv turns off randomly

    Hi there
Since about a week my Apple TV turns off randomly. Just turns off and on, but of course you have to wait until turn on again and then pick up the show/movie were you left it. Very very annoying
Any one of you have experienced that problem?
I wonder if I have to re-set everything or change the device
Thanks in advance for your input guys

Did you have any change before?
Well, you may try reset and restore (to factory setting  + download latest firmware) your ATV. Of course, you need to reconfigure the box after it restarts.

    Hi,
Do you mean you are not getting SMS text messages now ?
    If so start here
Follow the Account management options until you are offered and email contact.
Explain the issue via email as only someone in Support can now remove your iPhone Number from iMessages if it has not "de-registered" itself correctly.

  • HT202157 Does Apple TV turn off automatically?

Does Apple TV turn off automatically?

It won't turn off, it will go to sleep after a certain time (this can be adjusted or turned off via settings) or manually (settings - sleep now)

  • Ipod Touch shows apple then turns off

so here it is, my ipod touch died and so I tried to connect it to the computer Via USB. It showed the apple then shut off and it keeps doing it... It also doesn't show up in "my computer" and a device... Please someone help!!

Let me try to go into more detail.
My Touch is dead. When I turn it on it shows the "connect to charge" screen then turns off. I connect it to my computer and it shows the "thunder bolt" screen. The changes to the Apple as if its trying to turn on then instead of turning on, it shuts off and repeats...
It doesn't even show up as an external device. I tried all those things and didn't work...

  • Apple TV3 turns off and on when using remote, already reset and restarted.

Apple TV just started acting up yesterday.  When using remote, light on Apple TV would turn off and on so it would somewhat work when the light was on and would not when light when off.  When light is off and in a menu selection, cursor would just move to the end of the list and stop.  Already restored back to factory and reset it.  Difficult to program after reset when remote only works part of the time when the light goes on so stuck in out of the box condition.  Any help on this?  Thanks!

    Hello stiktani,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning Apple TV remote issues:

  • Why won't my Apple TV turn off (for long)

I turn off my apple tv's (one 720p and one 1080p, but at some point for an unknown reason they turn back on. The power lights seem to always be on .  To the  est of my knowledge I don't have any other remotes that control them.
Can someone tell me why this is happening and whether there is a solution.  Will it hurt anything if I just forget about them and let them run, or should they be kept off when not in use?
    Thank you

They turn back on (from sleeping) for brief periods to advertise their availability on the network - bonjour services. This then allows you to select them as a device even if they are sleeping... in which case they'll then wake up.

  • Does Apple TV turn off by itself?

How do you turn off Apple TV or does it turn off by itself?

You can put it to sleep by holding play/pause for a few seconds or settings-general-sleep now.

  • ITunes Radio on Apple TV - turning off "are you still listening"

    Hey all,
I had a question about something that's been annoying me. Is there a way to turn off the "Are you still listening" prompt in Apple TV for iTunes Radio?  I sure hope so, anyone had any luck with this?

Thank you for your reply, however, that wasn't what I needed a response for. I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of that prompt all together and just have iTunes Radio continue playing continuously until I ask it to stop. Its very inconvenient for me to have iTunes Radio stop every two hours, sometimes I'm not close to the computer, and it interrupts my workflow. Does anyone know if there is an answer to this question?

  • Macbook display turns off when booting Snow Leopard DVD

I have mid-2009 Macbook Pro and I hate Mountain Lion. I want to do a clean install of Leopard using the DVD (grey) that came with my computer. I loaned it to a friend recently and he had no issues. But everytime i try to boot from the SL DVD (hold C at startup) it behaves normally, until about the time it would go into the DVD startup screen. At that point the display turns off (not the whole computer, just the display) as if it has gone to sleep. And I can't get it to turn on again. I've also tried booting and holding Option and choosing the DVD as the boot drive. No dice.
Awhile back I created a Lion install DVD. I can boot to it just fine. But i don't want Lion either. Any ideas why this is happening?  Thanks!

Press control shift eject, then any key to toggle the display from sleep/wake.

  • Turning off an extra internal hard drive

I have a extra internal hard drive via a DataDoubler, and I was wondering if it was possible to turn the extra drive off whenever I'm not using it? I only have music, movies, and other large files on it (to keep them off my SSD), and I don't want it to just sit there spinning when I'm not using it (wasting my battery power).

Are your prefs configured to spin down drives when not in use?
Is Spotlight set to index it or ignore?
You can use AppleScript to unmount the drive if you like...
