Bad Battery life Mac Book pro 13 inch after installing mountain lion?

My battery runs out of juice very quickly after installing lion + for the first time I can hear the fan. So the machine seems to be working hard?!
Anyone a clue?

This is not necessarily 100% correct at the current time.
As Dropbox is encouraging people to set it up for automatic uploading of photos they gradually increment your space as you load more pictures for free at the current time.
You do start with a fixed 2 GB but if you upload photos you will be awarded more free space.
You can also open a free account with Flickr - you may have some upload limits per day but you can upload pictures there.

Mac won't start after installing Mountain Lion

After installing Moutian Lion (from 10.6.x) overnight I returned home yesterday evening and wasn't able to start up the mac.
I get the white screen of death and a little spinning wheel and then the mac shuts down.
I tried rebooting in recovery mode and did a "repair disk".....it said that it couldnt repair the disk.
I tried the "reinstall the OS X" option but the two drives it showed me are both locked so I couldnt do that either!
I didnt have time to do anything else.......what do I need to do now? WHat are the next steps? Sledgehammer? Dynamite?

Help! Mac is super slow after installing mountain lion

Ever since I installed Mountain lion on my new imac everything seems to be working really slowly. iphoto takes about 5 minutes to start and once it has started up it is really slow. Same thing happens with itunes. I have repaired disk permisions many times and also have run my Mac Keeper program as well.None of these things seem to help and it seems to be getting worse. Has anybody else have this trouble? Any ideas would really be appreciated. Thanks

I need help: I followed the instruction on how to restore to factory settings. But after I erased the macintosh hd file I tried to reinstall OS X with mountain lion the interenet wasn't working properly and i couldn't finish. Now that I tried again I only get a file folder with a question mark what can I do now.

Try restarting while holding down the Option key. That should prompt the startup manager window where you can select the startup disk and reboot.
Then try reformatting (erase) using OS X Recovery About OS X Recovery
Keep in mind, Apple does recommend a high speed broadband internet connection for OS X Recovery. A slow connection may time out before recovery is finished.

Macbook Pro dies after installing Mountain lion

After I installed the new mountain lion software, my mac informed me that I had software updateds for all of my other applications now that I had the new framework. After the updates, it restarted my computer. During the restart, the screen went black, it made a low long beep sound, and then it turned off. I cannot turn it back on. When I turn it on and off the white light in the bottom right side of my computer glows so I know it's technically on, but the screen stays black. How can I fix this??

How many times does your macbook beep?
I found this information from an old Apple support article.
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)
5 beeps = processor is not usable

Why is my Mac book pro so slow on mountain lion?

I installed the new OS when it was released. Now all my applications are slow to process, I have to wait minutes for web pages to load. This has to be the worst release of an apple OS to date.

Macbook Pro temperature after installing Mountain Lion

Hi guys,
I wonder if any of you could give me a little help.
I installed ML about one week ago and i've been noticing that my macbook pro (from mid 2009, 13inch) has been increasing. With itunes, chrome a minor download program called igetter CPU temperatures are around 65/75 and if I open anything new, normally a new page on the browser for instance, it easily reaches 80/85. What puzzles me is that CPU usage is still really low...
I have repaired some permissions with Onyx and clean up some programs i've installed so far but nothing changed this issue with high temperatures.
I really don't know what else to do...

Nope. It just opened the installer and stayed in the same loop.
It tells me to choose a startup disk but the only option is the HD which it will not use because it says it cannot gather enough information.
Eveything was working fine until the mountain lion failed install.

BTW on my MBPro (late 2009 with max RAM) Mountain Lion runs very well with no slowing down.
