  • Bad connection with Facetime

    Hi everyone,
So since I've updated to OS x Yosemite, my Facetime will jump to 'bad connection' after several minutes. I know that there's nothing wrong with the internet, because it works fine and I've changed and checked it different times.
Does someone has this problem too?

Ok, I have tested it with a Free SIM card.
The result of the test is:
-Facetime works with occasional time-outs when using a Free SIM card over 3G.
-Facetime does NOT work at all ("poor connection") when using an Orange SIM over 4G.
As Facetime was working without any problems over Orange 4G until last Christmas, and it has never worked since,  this looks very much like an Orange netwqork problem.

  • Frozen screen with no connection with mouse or keyboard

    Hello,
My iMac has frozen on the start up page. I googled what might be wrong and came up with a bluetooth connection problem. So, I bought a wired mouse and it still won't 'wake up'. The wired mouse doesn't work either. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any techy help!

Reboot and immediately hold down the Alt/Option key during the sound that Linc mentioned, until a grey screen with a choice of boot disks appears. Choose your Mac OS X boot disk.

  • I have macair bought 2009. Bluetooth connect with mouse and keypad not working. It used to work. Batteries are good. Green light flashes on each device, but no connection. Any suggestions to help me here? Thanks.

    Dear Community,
I have a macbook air bought new in 2009. Since 2011 I only use it occasionally as I  now mainly use my iMac. The mouse and keyboard that came with the macbook air used to work fine with bluetooth connection to the macbookair, but now they don't. The batteries are good. The green light flashes showing it is seeking other bluetooth device to connect to. But they wont connect to my macbookair. What could the problem be? Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for that. Yes I checked that already and BT enabled. Yes, external keyboard. But I just moved the computer to different part of room and bingo the devices paired and connected. So problem now solved. Thanks for offering your help.

  • Bad connection with MP54G2

    Hello,
    I've got a MP54G2 WLAN-Card in my notebook.
I use my notebook for VoIP and have a big problem with my WLAN-connection: Every few minutes the connection fails for a few seconds (but it doesn't disconnect). It seems like that there is no data transfered in this time and so I have a gap in my phone-call.
When I put an PCMCIA-WLAN-Card in my Notebook, everything works fine for me. How can I solve my problem?
    Thanks

It's a driver problem -> for more information take a look at http://61.222.76.235/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=363

  • Bad Connection with Airport & PC Laptop

I'm having a problem here. I have an old iMac. I bought it in 2000. It's one of the Special Edition Graphite models. I just got an (original) Airport card for it to try to make a wireless network so that I could connect using my work laptop (IBM Thinkpad). Since it's my work computer, I don't want to try to mess with settings on that computer (and I'm not sure I could anyway).
I really don't have much knowledge about this, so I'm just going to explain what I've done and what happened, and hopefully someone who knows more about this can figure out where I've gone wrong.
I installed the card, and then I have the Airport Icon up in the upper right corner next to the time. So I go in there and select Create Network. I name it and leave the channel on Automatic (11). Then I hit Show Options and check the box for Enable Encryption. I selected 128-bit and entered a 13 digit password made up of letters and numbers. (I also tried 40-bit with a 5 letter password.) Then I hit Ok.
Going into Internet Connect, it shows the network with a good signal level. When I look at Wireless networks on my PC, it lists it, although the icon next to it is two computers (for computer-to-computer) rather than an antenna-like icon that the other networks showing up have. I connect to it and it says that I have excellent signal strength. But when I try to go to a web page, I get nothing. hen I look at the status for the connection in the PC, it shows a lot of Packets sent, but none received. And Address Type is Automatic Private Address, while IP Address is 169.XXX.X.XXX. Subnet Mask is 255.255.0.0. There is nothing for Default Gateway, DNS Server, or WINS Server.
Can someone help me figure out how to fix this and connect properly? I would really appreciate it! If you need any more information, just ask.
    Thanks!

    That is the solution.
It is not possible for a Windows PC to connect to an encrypted software base station (a Mac sharing its internet connection via Airport).

  • Bad connectivity with T510 minidock

I've actually been using the dock for quite awhile now; normally it works great, and I have my external monitor attached (1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz, 2 ms response) and it all works great. There's just one problem though -- my USB connectivity seems to be poor. If I push down on the laptop keyboard (where the dock connector joins the laptop) I seem to get the "USB device not recognized" issue, and after this the only thing I can do is restart my computer to regain connectivity.
Does anyone else have issues like this, and if yes, has anyone found a solution to it?

Yes it's a known issue for us as well as a number of others:
    http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/T410-docking-station-issue-VGA-external-mon...
20 - 30 systemboard replacements later, Lenovo has still yet to come out and say: "Yes we recognize the problem"
Call Lenovo and push them for a motherboard replacement. We swapped out a number of docks before we found that replacing the motherboard does the trick.
    Good luck!

  • Bad connection with my airport-express

I have all my music in the cloud and when I play it from my computer via the airport-express it works perfect. Now I bought an i-pad and when I play music from the i-pad via the airport express it is contently interrupted. It is not the wifi because when I use the i-pad as speaker it works o.k. Any ideas?

The laptop have much better wireless adapter and antenna, it will stream much better than the iPad.

  • Thunderbolt to FireWire adaptor/Bad connection?

Has anybody had the same matter as I have? Please let me know!
'Thunderbolt to FireWire Adaptor' I bought doesn't properly fit in the Thunderbolt socket of my Macbook Air (that Thunder mark on it).
It does a half of it and doesn't go deeper. I'm sure any info of photos and videos I saw online that people uploaded look it fits in all, but mine doesn't.
Is this normal? One I found on Apple Support Community says
'Be wary of the bad connection with the adaptor though, it falls out with the slightest movement.'
It sounds like talking what the same I have. If it's so, I can use it even it properly not goes in? or I can claim the tech support?
If anybody knows info, please let me know! Will appreciate it. Thank you!!

    Yikes, that's sad to hear.
I can't test it, no TB here, but are all these drives self AC powered, ie. no bus powered drives?

  • Bad connection on Skype To Go

I have a world package as well as a Skype to go. When I am calling a colleague in Holland (I am from Denmark) and I am using skype on my computer, I always have a good connection. When I am using the Skype To Go number for the same person in Holland - 50% of the call have a bad connection with a lot of "wind" noice on the line. Any good ideas on what could be the problem.

  • My macbook pro(Lion 10.7.2) continually lost connection with the magic mouse, which charged well.

There is something wrong with my new macbook pro MD322(Lion 10.7.2). It continually lost connection with the magic mouse. I ensure that the mouse is charged well. I also looked up the matter on Web. It looks that the matter is familiar for many users.

I have a m-audio fast track pro that I'm having a similar problem when using it with my new Macbook Air. I found changing it to 16 bit will work.
I have a Apogee iMic that works fine so my guess is we will have to wait for Avid/M-Audio to update drivers.

  • Ipad connecting with vmware view client v5.1. "any way to disable or hide radial virtual keyboard mouse interface as using blue tooth external keyboard"

Issue - ipad connecting with vmware view client v5.1. "any way to disable or hide the vmware view's radial virtual keyboard mouse interface" either in vmware view client settings, hidden cmds, or ipad system settings.
My client is using an external blue tooth ipad metal cover type keyboard and does not wish to have the radial keyboard / mouse visable or floating on desktop when connecting to vm with iPad using vmware view client v5.1.
i was unable to locate any settings or related toggle key/function combo keystrokes under iPad settings under vmware view client, to affect viewability of the radial keyboard/mouse. And can you kill it from service/process on vm instead of ipad? then dont allow service to restart at startup? What is the name of services that enable the radial virtual keyboard mouse - function to work?
Thanks for any and all feedback-

I'm having a very similar issue. Sometimes, when I boot and type in startx (I'm not even a GNOME user--I use dwm and no graphical login manager), I just get a black screen. No mouse cursor, so I think X doesn't even load. It only started with the xserver 1.6 update and the update to that hasn't changed anything. What I've been doing is just rebooting until it loads normally (takes one to three times). Is anyone else having this problem?

  • Bad connection using facetime with ios 7

when i use facetime its really bad connection keeps feezing since updating to ios 7 on my ipad mini was never like this before i have fibre broadband so its not my internet as that is super fast i have also noticed that the new update is very slow and sluggish when using certain features has anyone else experienced this

I know you can't restore a backup with ios7 and Find My Ipad turned on. I would first set it to Never update device, an don't restore backup and see if that will allow you apply the profile. If that doesn't work. I'd do a complete wipe of the device, prepare it again and then try to install the profile.
