Bad link for reset password

hi all..
I'm trying to reset my Apple ID password for the mac app store. It consistently sends me an email with a link, but when i follow the link i get:
Invalid Link
We apologize, but we are unable to verify the link you used to access this page. Please click Continue to return to the main page and start over.
I suspect this may be due to confusion in the Apple database. I have two accounts:
<name> and <name>@yahoo.com
I can reset the password for <name>@yahoo.com but not for <name>.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Nevermind. The link works fine. The Apple Mail program put the Apple replies for the <name>@yahoo.com and <name> into the same bin. When i clicked on the link it automatically jumped to the older <name>@yahoo.com and i didn't realize that the <name> reply was above it. Since i had already used the <name>@yahoo.com link it, quite correctly, said the link was invalid. I realized this when i used the ios mail client - which listed the two replies separately.

Blackberry ID Password reset email doesn't contain a link to reset password!

Basically, I'm trying to reset my Blackberry password for my Blackberry Curve. I get a password reset email when i request it, but the email does not contain a link to reset my password. The ENTIRETY of the email is as follows:

Does anyone know what the problem is? It's not my web browser distorting the email -- i've tried retrieving the email from Firefox, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer.

That is very strange indeed...with only 2 possible causes I can think of.
1) Your email app (on your PC) is blocking the link that is included in the email...many email apps will do this and sometimes you must override them. If you have an alternate interface to use (e.g., GMail webmail interface versus Outlook), then try the other and see if that helps. Depending on the email environment (e.g., private corporate email system), it is also possible that some gateway along the path is stripping out the necessary link(s) as a security measure.
2) The reset email facility is actually broken, and the email does not contain what it is supposed to. If that is the case, then it requires formal attention from RIM. The only way to achieve that is for you to contact VZW and have them escalate your case into RIM.

Bad link for "Earth Crisis"

After doing a search for earth crisis, the top two results are:
Steel Pulse Reggae
Earth Crisis Alternative
Clicking Earth Crisis brings up all of the cd's by Steel Pulse, as search results, while clicking steel pulse brings up their CDs. Bad Link??? Any word on why this seems to be mix matched?

I'm still having a problem. I've tried using both IE and Firefox and they both fail. Once my S/N is accepted there is a really quick message on the window that states something like - "if the download doesn't start click here" but the window either is too small to get to the link and/or it goes by too fast. Once this message goes away the "bad link" message pops up.

Bad link for download

I've tried to download the "Treo Voice Dialing" download from the bonus software area at http://ws.palm.com/. I get the screen to enter my serial number. Once I enter that (and it usually takes about 3 or 4 tries of entering the CORRECT s/n for it to get accepted), I get a "We're sorry - page not found" error. Any suggestions? ftp site? something? I don't want to use the data capability through my phone as I don't have a data plan.

Cant get email for reset password of apple id

My mom has forgot her Apple id password, and since yesterday she didn't receive an email from apple.
She remembers only one of the two security questions, so I only left with the option of reset password.
Do you have any idea why she can't receive an email from Apple to reset her password?
We've checked in other email addresses but it's not getting anywhere.

If you are reluctant to write your password down use one of those thumb drives for keeping track of you password. It's probably less confusing than Keychain.

for assistance it might be worth the few bucks if you are beyond the 90 day complimentary support. That's why I paid a few bucks more to get 3 years of support. Compared with $2700.00 it's a small price to pay. Especially when you consider that I paid $2000.00 for a TRS 80 Mod 3 with 2, count them 2 floppy drives and the almost infinity, 48 k, of memory way back when.

The link for "Reset of password has been sent successfully" never appears in my email

I have 2 emails an old and a new and I do not know which one is correct. I try signing in with each separately and asking for a "RESET" of my password. In each case it states that a "link has been sent successfully to the email you provided" but nothing ever appears. I already have Thunderbird but is it a question of simply re registering?

you would not be able to post in this forum if you did not have the username and password, so what are you trying to do? does this have anything to do with Thunderbird, or is it all forum related.

Profile for reseting passwords

Hello Experts,
I've got a question, is it possible to create a security profile that will give a right just to reset other users' passwords? I don't want to give that user right to edit a whole user account.

unfortuneatly, to reset the password of another account, you need edit rights to the user account dcoument. There is not an indoividual ACL just for Password. You might consider a combination of allowing edit access and some page customizations to disallow editing certain fields in the user account. This might get you closer to where you want to be.
