Bad printing color for HP Photosmart 7150

I got the drivers for my printer installed - THANKS. I installed new unopened printer cartridges - both color & black. When I printed just a text page the black was great, but when I printed something with color PROBLEM !!! The color pictures looked like there was a line green filter over everything. You could see the colors underneath this lime green, but not easily. What can I do? I like the printer, but not with lime green colors.

I've got the same problem on my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard and Gutenprint 5.2.5 when printing on the 7150 - it prints about 10% (and skewed at that) and spits out the page. This occurs when printing from any app.
I am only able to print in draft mode which is not suitable for anything I need to do.
I realize this printer is no longer officially supported, but any help would be appreciated!

IMac printing problem with HP Photosmart 7150

I've just bought a 27 inch iMac and I'm having problems printing out of iPhoto 9. I select for eg, 4 X photos per page and it prints about 10% of the page before spitting it out. I've downloaded the latest driver for my HP Photosmart 7150 printer (Gutenprint v5.2.5) but still no good.
The print monitor window always says it is printing Page 1 7%. Weird.
Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.

I am looking for Print Servers that I can use with 'HP Photosmart C4483 All-in-One Printer' for both 'Printing and Scanning'. I'm not sure if this Printer is Network Ready or Network Capable, kindly advice.

As I understand it you can print color everywhere but from MS Word 2013? If this is the case try the steps I have outlined below to see if they resolve your issue:
On the View tab, in the Color/Grayscale group, click Black and White.
On the Black and White tab, in the Change Selected Object group, click the settings that you want.

What power supply cord is for the photosmart 7150?

I lost the power supply cord for the hp photosmart 7150 and the only description I can locate anywhere on HP's web or in the basic's guide are these words "The power supply is an external module. The DC input jack". I am very uneducated regarding technology and I know the solution must be so simple that it has been totally skipped over. Where can I find the right cord for this printer?

Error while installing printer software for HP Photosmart Plus 209a-m on Windows 8.1 64 bit OS

Follow the steps below and check if that resolve the issue:
1. Open Mcafee software, from the Virus and Spyware Protection section click on Schedule and run scans. Click on Real time scanning and then on Turn Off. select till I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the Turn Off button.
Now try reinstalling the HP Software and check if the installation goes as expected.
If the issue persists continue following the next steps below:
2. Open the run dialog by clicking both the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type %windir% and click on OK.
3. Type hpoins*.dat into the top search bar, if there are any results rename the extention into old instead of dat. (e.g. hpoins1.old)
4. Type hpwins*.dat into the top search bar, if there are any results rename the extention into old instead of dat. (e.g. hpwins1.old)
5. Launch the Run dialog by clicking both the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC /UNREGISTER into the Run dialog and click on OK.
6. Launch the Run dialog by clicking both the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC /REGSERVER into the Run dialog and click on OK.
7. Run the installation file and check for any difference.

Printer Driver for HP Photosmart 7520 for Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and 10.3 and 10.5

I just purchased a new HP Photosmart 7520 printer. One of my Macs at home is an iMac G5 that is running Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. It connects to the HP printer via Wi-Fi. HP does not provide drivers for Mac OS 10.4 for the Photosmart 7520 printer. I tried all sorts of old HP drivers and finally found one that worked, so I figured I would post here to help out anyone else who is trying to solve the same problem. The driver download you need is the OS 10.4 driver for the Photosmart C7250 All-In-One printer. Here is the link to the download page:

After downloading and installing the drivers, I ran the HP Printer Setup Utility. It was not able to detect my printer. I had to go to System Preferences on my Mac and add the printer manually in the Print & Fax control panel. The Print & Fax control panel was not able to auto-select the correct driver to use, so I selected "HP" from the "Print Using" drop-down list, and then selected "HP Photosmart D7400 Series" from the "Model" list. That worked for me. Good luck!

Can't print color to HP Photosmart 7520 from MacbookPro

I have been unable to print color to my HP printer from my Macbook Pro. All prints come out in black and white regardless of what program they are printed from. It it not a printer problem as I am able to print from my iPad in color. Running OS X 10.6.8. Any ideas?

Have you checked out all of the settings on the printer to make sure that you don't, somewhere, have Print as Grayscale ticked? I know that's an option for my Canon and I have several printer settings setup to print in grayscale on a variety of media and sizes.

OSX 10.8.5 not able to print color with HP photosmart 1115

I used to be able to print in color with this computer/laptop combo but after the upgrade to OS 10.8.5, there is no color option for printing. Please help!

Hi,
The Photosmart 1115 is not officially supported on Mac OS X since version 10.5.
You may try using the 3rd party HPIJS print drivers, those are compatible with 10.8 and list the Photosmart 1115 as supported.
Be sure to install any of the 3 required downloads prior following the printer set up instructions:

Printer cartridge for HP Photosmart 7520

I bought a new HP Photosmart 7520. When changing the photo black inkt cartridge I used one of the catridges I bought some time ago for my former printer. The cartridge is from the 364 series, the production date (?) stamped on the box reads IRELAND Oct 2010. The printer does not accept the cartridge displaying an error message which (translated from Dutch) reads: Incompatible older generation cartridge installed. Does this mean that I have to through away the 364 cartridges I still have left?

Printing Proofsheet for HP Photosmart C6380

I recently replaced an older HP printer with the C6380. With my previous printer I could print out a proofsheet to select the prints I wanted to actually print. Is there a way to do that with the C6380?

Sorry to hear about the install issues on Windows 8.1 for your C6380, that document you got the information regarding those file extension is usually the fix.
I have found that a lot of new Windows 8.1 computer are coming pre-loaded with McAfee, is this the Anit-Virus on your computer? If so, disable it then try to install the software. I have had good results with that step in the past.
If it is not the Anti-Virus software installed, what is?

Printing options for 8750 PhotoSmart

I'm stunned to note there are so few options for printing various projects on my 8750 via Mavericks. No draft printing? No page setup for horizontal or portrait, no black and white mode? Is there a driver with more of these kinds of options available, or am I stuck with this one extremely simplified driver that doesn't even allow me to manually do duplex printing?

From the File menu, select Print. The Print window appears..
2. Click the lowest selection box listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.
3. Select Paper Type/Quality from the drop-down menu.
4.. Set the Qultity as Fast Draft.
You may save the settings for future use by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset and provide any unique name (e.g Draft)...

Error -9672 - HP PHotosmart 7150

About 2 weeks ago, I reinstalled Tiger on my iMac (to get the X11 subsystem for Inkscape). After that, I can no longer print to my HP Photosmart 7150 printer. I reinstalled Tiger from the system disks, and then applied the Combo update to get me back to 10.4.11.
When I try to add the printer, it defaults to HP Inkjet 3.3 for the driver. If I try and select the driver (which I have installed from HP's web site, twice and from the Tiger system disks), it doesn't show up in the HP list (just network printers do). The HP printer utility can "see" the printer, but Tiger can't?
No matter what I do to add it, I get Error -9672.
Did X11 break printing? Or am I missing something in the reinstall process?

Might try an earlier fix, amended to your printer though... seems hp has had this -9672 error plenty of times, generally an updated driver fixes it... if all the old parts get removed...

Please call HP Tech Support for further assistance.
If you are in US , the toll free # is 1-800-474-6836 .
If you are not in US , then log on to www.hp.com , at bottom-left corner there is a world map icon, click on it and then select the region you belong to, which would then provide support options for you for that region.
