"Bad quality received from network module."
My computer has 2 Fieldpoint ethernet banks setup to allow Lookout to interface with mulitple HW peripherals. Lookout launches automatically when the computer starts up. And after everything is loaded, one of the ethernet banks will almost immediately log the following alarm, "Bad quality received from network module." Does anyone know what criteria/logic is behind the triggering of this alarm?
We have been unable to find any issues that would cause this alarm to go off.
it is power cycled it works again. We have another FP1600 on same network with no problem. Ethernet drop is 230 feet. Part# is 185690E-01, firmware 4.11. I have swapped it with a spare unit we have of the same part number, 185690E-01 and firmware release.Mike,

Bad quality playback from purchased songs
Friends-
I purchased an album from itunes. I played it from my iBook over airport to my stereo system. The quality was very poor. Any ideas?
Thanks.
-RobinArghhh... Finally realised it's the settings for my Display in System Preferences. For some peculiar reason after the Quicktime update it was reset to "colours : Thousands" instead of "colours : MIllions"

Bad quality after converting to PDF and direct emailing of form letters from MS Word
Hello,
when using the the "form letter" option (for creating personalized PDF files from form letters, that are then directly emailed as attachments via outlook) under the "Acrobat" add-in tab in MS Word I keep getting PDF documents with bad quality (e.g. a logo that is inserted in the document becomes very pixelated). When directly converting the same document to a PDF file using the "create PDF" option unter the "Acrobat" add-in tab in MS Word, I get a high quality pdf file with a perfectly smooth logo (very much the same as it looks in the original MS word document).
Does anyone have an idea what causes the discrepancy in quality of the pdf files that are created via the two options "form letter" and "create PDF" in the "Acrobat" add-in for MS Word?
Any help is highly appreciated,
thank you,
HansMaybe I have not made myself clear in the first post. What I am trying to say is, that I keep getting bad quality PDFs (e.g. pixelated logos) when using the "form letter" option (blue box in the image above) but not when using the "create PDF" option (red box in the image above) from the Acrobat add-in in MS Word. Changing the settings for pdf conversion (green box in the image above) only affects PDFs created from the "create PDF" but not the "form letter" option.
Does anyone know how to create high quality (e.g. high resolution) PDFs using the "form letter" option (blue box)?
Best regards,

+++ Photos imported from iPhoto to imovie6 become bad quality.
Although imovie 6 is caught up with a sum of disadvantages of imovie
5, I observe a new disadvantage which did not exist before.
With knowknowing:
In the "multi-media" mitre + "photographs", when I import
a photograph from iphoto, I observe that the image which is transcribed
in the screen of the visual display of imovie 6 is of a perfect
quality.
For example, a photograph taken with 3,5 Méga pixels with a
weight of 2 Mo. PRECISION : !!!!!! ( FORMAT IS JPEG ) !!!!!
The image is perfect, and in the internal adjustments
with imovie 6 that they are with or without the effect Ken Burns,
it seems the original.
However when I decide to apply it in the
timeline and that I it replay in the visual display, I note that the
quality of the image was strongly degraded ( very bad quality).
There are somebody in the specialists or the helpers who can give me explanations and how to cure that,
because this disadvantage is strongly regrettable and detrimental for me.
Thanks to you.

The main point to keep in mind is that before importing your photos, you must have the Ken Burns effect turned on in order to achieve the best quality. Also, remember that the iMovie screen is just there for editing purposes, and does not display the clips at full quality. -

Export to quicktime from final cut producing bad quality audio
Hello
In exporting out quicktimes form the timeline in final cut I'm experiencing bad quality audio. Its almost like a fussing or noise in the background. I have tried to export the same quicktimes from a new sequence and only after a couple of attempts managed to get a quicktime with clear audio. I found the only way around this is to export out the audio as a separate aiff file which produces a clear audio file. This is not ideal as it creates more work when in a rush.
Anyone have any ideas how to rectify this?
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
thanks in adavenceThe sound is perfect in fcp.
I originally export from fcp using export quicktime movie, thats what causes the problem, which is why I had to resort to exporting the audio file as a separate file to the quicktime as an aiff which solves the problem. But it seem sa shame to have to export the picture and audio separately then use quicktime to marry the 2 together , then to re-export just so you cant have the files as one movie.
I just dont get what its doing.
Thanks for taking a look. I apprechiate it. -
Bad quality of capturing from sony SR5e.
I have used iMovie for several months. It worked quite well at first. However, in these days, problems are always appeared. Firstly, it always got rather bad quality of clips after capturing from my SONY HDR-SR5E. It seems lost some frames; all of the objects in it appears jumping when they are moving. Secondly, when I restarted the iMovie and tried to capture again, iMovie just quit unexpectedly. I have also tried using Final Cut Express to capture in my machine, it works fine and get a smooth clip comparing with iMovie.
Already try this. This is not the problem ...
It's something on the rendering of the colors. You can see that on those 2 screenshots on the image referenced in the post on my blog :
- Firefox = http://julien.coillard.free.fr/images/ImageFFox.jpg
- IE7 = http://julien.coillard.free.fr/images/ImageIE7.jpg
To see the difference you to load the pictures (don't compare them on Firefox) and the original picture as loaded on my blog is here :

Sorry if my explanation is not clear, i'm french and my english is not excellent -
Problems losing quality when going to library module from develop module. Sharpness and color quality decrease
This is normal. There will be a difference as you are comparing Library Previews with the image in Develop which accesses the original file, although the difference is usually slight. Real results need to be judged from exporting after selecting the output sharpening e.g. for glossy paper, if printing or screen sharpening for web images or emailing.
The idea with sharpening is to apply capture sharpening so that the image in Develop looks just sharp but not over sharp. Lightroom then uses the correct algorithm for output sharpening based upon image size and quality settings etc. -
Hey guys,
I've got a question...
I'm working on a project in After Effects and want to export it now as a quicktime movie with prores.
The movie I get, has got a bad quality and seems blurred.
I can export as animation but is there another possibility?
Need more information? Please ask!
Best regards
MumpitzOneDid you mean to ask this on the Premiere Pro forum? Your post mentions After Effects. Are you looking for a solution using Premiere Pro or After Effects?
Also, when asking about poor quality, it's best to post an example (such as a screenshot) so that we can see what you're referring to.
It also helps if you give details about what version of the applicaiton you're using, what operating system, and so on. -
IPS network Module, need help!!!
Folks,
I recently installed IPS network module in my 3662 router. I am having problems making the IPS log anything.
When i access the web interface of the IPS, i see only 1 interface available under virtual sensor, the interface is fast 0/1. and the media type it shows is Backplain.
I am confused, i thought that fast 0/1 on the IPS network module was the management interface??? on the IPS?
Why don't i see another interface that is connected to the backplain of the switch???
Many thanksThere are 2 interfaces on the NM-CIDS.
In version 5.0 they are called:
FastEthernet0/0 and FastEthernet0/1
FastEthernet0/0 is the external copper interface that you can plug a cable in to. It is the command and control port for managing the NM-CIDS. It can not be used for monitoring (can not be applied to the virtual sensor)
FastEthernet0/1 is the backplane interface. It receives packets from the router for monitoring. This is the interface that should be applied to the virtual sensor. -
Weird QT issue on Mav: stuttering from disk but ok from network
Issue is just as title implies. File stutters a lot when played from disk but is butter smooth when the same file is played from network
- Mac OS X is a clean install. No significant third party stuff or drivers installed. No crapware. Not even flash.
- Disk seems OK according to SMART status. No perm or disk errors. Some "dd" tests show 90MB/s read speed and ~50MB/s write speed.
- Issue occurs with both one and 2 monitors.
- Alternative video players like MPlayerX and Movist can play the same file on disk just fine.
- I have Obcene ammounts of RAM for a laptop.
Is this a known issue? Am I the only one suffering this weird behavior?
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone can tell me if Cisco IDS Network module (NM-CIDS) can capture the vlan traffic, or it only can capture traffic going through it. If it can, how can I do that?
Hi Biao,
The NMCIDS module gets the traffic on its sniffing interface from the Router in which it is housed. The sniffing interface is not connected to switch to use the span configuration.
You will need to enable the desired interfaces (including subinterfaces) on the router for packet monitoring. You can select any number of interfaces or subinterfaces to be monitored. The packets sent and received on these interfaces are forwarded to the NM-CIDS for inspection. The enabling and disabling of the interfaces is configured through the router CLI (Cisco IOS). So There is no way you capture the vlan traffic of the switch. -
AppleYukon2 - bad packet received
shortly after rebooting, my system starts throwing the following error message, sometimes ten times a second:
AppleYukon2 - bad packet received
at the same time my network speeds plummet from 7m/sec down to 400 k/sec.
any idea what's going on? i am connected to the internet via a switch to a router to a dsl modem. another machine coming off the same switch has no problem.
ADthanksVANCE!I am also experiencing this. It doesn't seem to happen as fast as it does for you, but does happen when I start copying files over the network via SMB/CIFS (windows file shares) or anything that seems to move at high speeds.
What is happening to me is that around the time this happens, all network connectivity drops. This seems to begin happening after the last system/security update.

kumarHi ,
Thanx for ur quick reply, my requriment is prepare BDC program to create outbound delivery. So i dint even recorded just i was analysing that what are all the fields are required both mandatory and non-mandatory fields to create outbound delivery no. so i only created one outbound delivery no by giving only values in madatory fields to check what are all the fields are there in differnt sceens. If i get all the fields i ll send the excel file of the data conataing all the sceen field names just above i mentioned in my question and they provide me the appropiate data what they have in excel format after getting the data i ll see how many fields values are there and then i will start recording depending up on the data. so before that i should know all the fields which ll come while creating outbound delivery.
so above i got 20 fields so i am asking if you have any idea about all the fields exists while creating outbount delivey Number please tell me .
i have to analyise and i should give the details of the fields go the functional people and they ll see and provide me with the data they are availble seeing my fields . After they give me the data i ll check how many fields having data depending upo on that data i ll start recording and write the BDC program.
Hope you might understood my requirement.
points ll be rewared
