Bad Request No connection to Docbase -connection test fail SAP & Documentum

Hi All,
We are integrating SAP R/3 with Documentum v 6.6 document management system. There is a repository created using OAC0 transaction.
Archive ID : <value - same as Documentum Archive ID>
Content server Version : 0.46
HTTP Content server <Documentum server ip > Port <xxxx>
HTTP script : \assap\archivelink\<Documentum share >
When we do test connection it throws an error states "400 bad request : No connection to docbase".  If we change any values in HTTP script it throws error 404 not found. It means with above configuration is correct the connection is getting tested but with error statement "400 bad request : No connection to docbase".
Is there any thing which is missing ? Please let me know your expert advices how to proceed further.
Regards,
kishore

Hi All,
Issue got resolved. Please check if there is any network related issues ( firewall issue will also leads to same error ). After this there was another issue in deployment / configuration of the AS SAP services on documentum.
Please check network and documentum  for these type of issues.

Nanda

Hi, I'm running the following setup:
    Mac OS X 10.8.4
    Virtual Box 4.2.16 r86992
Oracle Developer Days (don't know the version, just downloaded it)
    SQL Developer 3.2.20.09
Networking is host-only, I tried bridged but that doesn't make a difference for the problem at hand. I can ping my virtual box just fine, telnet to port 1521 looks good too:

When I create a new connection with sql developer, with the same hostname / IP (192.168.56.101), Port 1521 (didn't change that) and SID orcl, basic connection type, it can't even connect, throwing the error mentioned in the subject:
Status : Failure -Test failed: IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
I have looked at various threads in the forums here but I'm still stymied why the connection seems to be ok, yet sql developer has problems with it. If I create an ssh tunnel so sql developer only has to connect to localhost it works:
    ssh -L 1521:192.168.56.101:1521 -l oracle 192.168.56.101

    Hi Ali,
This may be of varoius reasons..
Is the database that you are connecting on the same PC?
    You have specified Hostname: localhost.
If not please replace it with the IP of that server.
Else please check whether the database listener is started or not. if not please start the listener.
Check the SID by tnsping command.
    Hope this will help you..

  • HTTP Error Code 400 Bad Request error when connecting to SQL db

I realized I should move this to a new post since it was a new question...
I am trying to connect to a distributed SQL database from CS4.
Let me show you how the connection is built... and then maybe someone can tell me what I am doing wrong...
First I go to the database panel:
I click on the '+' sign to add an MS SQL Server Connection:
That brings up the SQL Server Connection window where I am supposed to replace the placeholders with my server values:
After I enter the correct values and click test, I get the error (HTTP Error Code 400 Bad Request)... These values work from SQL Server Management Studio on the same PC.
Just as a side note... I tried one other thing that makes me think SOMETHING is wrong here:
If I choose as OLE DB Connection instead... and click the 'Build...' button and then enter the values in the Data Link Properties Window (OLE DB Provider for SQL Server, and then the connection info on the Connection tab) and then click Test Connection on the Data Link Properties window, it says my test succeeded. Then I click 'ok' which takes me back to the OLE DB Connection windows with the connection string pre-filled, and click test on THAT window and I get the same HTTP Error Code 400 Bad Request error...
Hopefully that is enough detail that someone can can tell me what I have broken?
    Thanks,
    Mike

One difference I notice is that the tests that are failing use "createManagedConnection".

  • Error Message: The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version. The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

I have a web page that contains a ReportViewer control.  I am trying to display a report, which is an .rdl file located on the SSRS server, in this ReportViewer control.  I have set the ReportPath and ReportServerUrl correctly.  I am
    getting an error message.
Am I suppose to use an .rdlc file rather than a .rdl file?  Does the web server configuration need to use a certain account?
I am getting the following error message:
The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version.
The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

    Hi bucaroov,
The error "The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found." means the ReportServerURL configured in the ReportViewer control is invalid.
Please follow these steps to solve the issue:
    Logon the Report Server machine.
Open the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
Copy the Report Server URL from 'Web Services URL'.
Logon the application server(in this case, it is the server that host the web page), check if we can use the URL we got from step 3 to access the Report Server. If so, please replace the ReportServerURL in the ReportViewer control with this URL. If it is
not available, could you please post the error message.
Additionaly, we don't need to provide the extension for a server report. The ReportPath should be like: /<reports folder>/<report name>

    Yes Martina,
It has been done through ESM
I cannot test using testexchangeconnectivity.com since I cannot put the 2010 one into production, I will get into trouble if I change the DNS record to the new mail server!
Yes, EAS works perfectly fine with 2010 mailboxes.
    OK.
It might be that it's not possible to run Test-ActiveSyncConnectivity against a mailbox stored in Exchange 2003.
Installing KB937031 and enabling Windows Authentication is really all that needs to be done in EX03, in order for Exchange 2010 to proxy the EAS requests.

  • JCO Connection test fails taking wrong IP Address

    Hi All,
We are configuring JCO Destinations(MODEL & METADATA) for ECC 6.0 system. Our portal is on EP7.0 SP8.  Our server i.e.ECC and Portal are in two different networks.
The problem here is, for our ECC system we have two IP Addresses.
    1. Internal IP Address (130...*) -- on which our ECC system is configured
    2. External IP Address (10...*) -- to access the ECC from outside network.
We are able to connect to ECC system with external IP address from Portal server using SAP GUI. We have configured hosts file entries referring ECC system for external IP.
We have configured the ECC system in SLD and configured the JCO destinations for the same. But, Connection tests to the JCO system are failing (partner not reached) as it is referring to internal IP even though we have configured ECC system for external IP address in portal server.
We are getting the follwoing error for JCO Connection test:

<b>Why JCO destinations are trying to connect ECC system using the internal IP address even though we didn't mention it anywhere in our portal server configurations?</b>
    Please Suggest
    Thanks much in advance.
    Cheers...

    Hi
    Please try this:
First remove the configured ECC from SLD.
    Logon the SAP R/3 (ECC).
    Run rz70 (T-code).
Enter the serverIP:port of the EP server in the host.
Enter the “sapgw” in the service.
Check the option SLDRFC for test and activate the current configuration
Then again add the ECC in your SLD.
And please check the entry in the host file also and try to ping the ECC server from the EP server.
    Hope this will help you.
    Thanks & regards

    Hi ,

Can anyone tell me the steps to create XIISUSER and what roles I need to assign and where I have to register this user.

On the 1st machine, we tried the local install option after a few days (Local option with no connect string) and it worked with no problems!
On the 2nd machine, we could never get it to work even after opening a tar with Oracle. Finally we did a remote install from the 1st machine into the database on the 2nd machine. During the remote install while running wfinstall on the 1st machine, we just had to choose the remote option and the database service name for the connect string.
    Thanks,
    Chethan

  • CPA Cache Connectivity test fails

    Hi All,
We are facing the following issues that have to do with the Adapter Engine:
    1) In RWB, the Adapter Engine is in error/red status with the following details: Adapter Engine, message: fatal DeleteJob (Default Delete Job) failed.
    2) In RWB, the Cache Connectivity Test fails with the following error: Communication with JMS server failed.
    3) The CPA Cache refresh gives erros.
Any ideas? There are no Service users locked, SLDCHECK works fine etc.

    Hi,
It seems to like problem with your JMS Connector.
For this, login into Visual admin -->cluster >services>JMS connector-->runtime (tab)->check the factories / destinations.  Please contact with your basis team, they will might be helpful to you. After that restart your server, it will solve your issue.
