Bad Request OSB Local Proxy to Business RPC Style

Hello,
I have a problem calling a web service rpc style base from a local proxy.
Here is the situation.
I have 1 Bussiness Service RPC style base (wsdl base).
I have 1 Proxy Service (Local Transport) Lets call this one LPS1.
I have 1 Proxy Service (Local Transport) Lets call it LPS2.
When I call BS from osb console, the response is OK.
When I call from osbconsole LPS1 to BS through a rountin node the response is OK. (I also tried Service Callout).
BUT, When I call from osbconsole LPS2 to LPS1 to BS, I got BAD REQUEST...
I have already tried everythin, but I could not I get the solution.
Thus,
call BS = OK
call LPS1 -> BS = OK.
call LPS2 -> LPS1 -> BS = BAD REQUEST.
I have compared both outbound variables and there are the same.
Thanks in advance.
Gustavo.

Swapnil,
Publish call will be blocking if QoS is set as Exactly-Once.
If QoS is Best-Effort and target endpoint is a one-way proxy service then it is a blocking call (source proxy waits for target proxy message flow completion) and if QoS is Best-Effort and target endpoint is a request-response proxy service then control returns back to source proxy as soon as Request pipeline of target proxy message flow completes.

  • Generate Client Proxy from a RPC-Style encoded WSDL

    Hi Experts,
    I was just trying to consume a RPC-Style encoded WSDL,
    but the creation of the client proxy failed with the following error message:
    Exception occurred in library handler
    Incorrect value: Unknown Namespace http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/
    Does anyone know, if it's possible to consume a RPC-Style encoded Web Service?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Sandeep,
    Could you try invoking clientgen [1] directly to see if this properly
    consumes your WSDL?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    I am using Weblogic 8.1 SP1. I created a webservice which takes a XMLBean object
    as parameter and returns another XMLBean object. The web service works fine when
    tested using the workshop's test browser but when i am trying to generate a client
    proxy trough the workshop's test browser, it displays this warning:
    Failed to generate client proxy from WSDL definition for this service
    and does not generate the proxy.
    I'll appreciate any thoughts on this.
    Thanks

  • Dynamic timeout for OSB proxy or business services

    The scenario we got here is that we will have multiple synchronous webservices implemented as OSB proxy services. These proxies will then invoke a common "routing" proxy that will determine which other OSB proxy or business services (JMS Request/Response) to call and does the dynamic routing.
    I understand that you can set a timeout at the business service level how long to wait for a response (at least when using the JMS transport). The problem is we got the requirement that the timeout value would be dependent on the role of the caller invoking the frontend webservice (this is done via some kind of lookup to determine the appropriate timeout setting for the invocation).
    Is this possible? I can't seem to find anything exposed in the transport header that allows me to set a timeout value during runtime. This means that the frontend proxy will be waiting for a response depending on the business service timeout setting. Can we implement a timeout in this frontend proxy somehow?
    Stumped right now over this. Thanks in advance for helping out.

    Are there other reasons why you say it's not the most ideal way of development ?

    Versioning binary files is always a pain. You can't compare them, you can't merge them ... Another point, if you put your jar archive with OSB artifacts under version control, you will most probably face issue related to end of line styles (mac, unix, windows).
    However, the most important point is usability. I want to version .proxy and .biz services to see right in IDE that I changed something and I should check that in for the others. I don't want to risk that I forget something. And I also want to see what other users committed, what sources they work on ... You loose all of that by versioning jar file. I would never go this way.

    Hi Jakub,
    Thanks for the answer.
    It's not working for me...
    I'm attaching my httpd.conf file.
    Also, what apache version do you use?
    Can you send me your post your httpd.conf file?
    Thanks,
    Omri
    httpd.conf
    This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file.  It contains the
    configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/> for detailed information.
    In particular, see
    <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
    for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    what they do.  They're here only as hints or reminders.  If you are unsure
    consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    server will use that explicit path.  If the filenames do not begin
    with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log"
    with ServerRoot set to "c:/apache" will be interpreted by the
    server as "c:/apache/logs/foo.log".
    NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes
    instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
    If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which Apache.exe is located
    will be used by default.  It is recommended that you always supply
    an explicit drive letter in absolute paths, however, to avoid
    confusion.
    ThreadsPerChild: constant number of worker threads in the server process
    MaxRequestsPerChild: maximum  number of requests a server process serves
    ThreadsPerChild 250
    MaxRequestsPerChild  0
    ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path.  If you point
    ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive
    at a local disk.  If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple
    httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.
    ServerRoot "c:/apache"
    Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
    ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
    directive.
    Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
    prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses (0.0.0.0)
    #Listen 12.34.56.78:80
    Listen 80

    'Main' server configuration
    The directives in this section set up the values used by the 'main'
    server, which responds to any requests that aren't handled by a
    <VirtualHost> definition.  These values also provide defaults for
    any <VirtualHost> containers you may define later in the file.
    All of these directives may appear inside <VirtualHost> containers,
    in which case these default settings will be overridden for the
    virtual host being defined.
    ServerAdmin: Your address, where problems with the server should be
    e-mailed.  This address appears on some server-generated pages, such
    as error documents.  e.g. [email protected]
    ServerAdmin @@ServerAdmin@@
    ServerName gives the name and port that the server uses to identify itself.
    This can often be determined automatically, but we recommend you specify
    it explicitly to prevent problems during startup.
    If your host doesn't have a registered DNS name, enter its IP address here.
    ServerName localhost:80
    DocumentRoot: The directory out of which you will serve your
    documents. By default, all requests are taken from this directory, but
    symbolic links and aliases may be used to point to other locations.
    DocumentRoot "c:/apache/htdocs"
    Each directory to which Apache has access can be configured with respect
    to which services and features are allowed and/or disabled in that
    directory (and its subdirectories).
    First, we configure the "default" to be a very restrictive set of
    features.
    <Directory />
        Options FollowSymLinks
        AllowOverride None
        Order deny,allow
        Deny from all
        Satisfy all
    </Directory>
    Note that from this point forward you must specifically allow
    particular features to be enabled - so if something's not working as
    you might expect, make sure that you have specifically enabled it
    below.
    This should be changed to whatever you set DocumentRoot to.
    <Directory "c:/apache/htdocs">
    Possible values for the Options directive are "None", "All",
    or any combination of:
      Indexes Includes FollowSymLinks SymLinksifOwnerMatch ExecCGI MultiViews
    Note that "MultiViews" must be named explicitly --- "Options All"
    doesn't give it to you.
    The Options directive is both complicated and important.  Please see
    http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html#options
    for more information.
        Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
    AllowOverride controls what directives may be placed in .htaccess files.
    It can be "All", "None", or any combination of the keywords:
      Options FileInfo AuthConfig Limit
        AllowOverride None
    Controls who can get stuff from this server.
        Order allow,deny
        Allow from all
    </Directory>
    DirectoryIndex: sets the file that Apache will serve if a directory
    is requested.
    <IfModule dir_module>
        DirectoryIndex index.html
    </IfModule>
    The following lines prevent .htaccess and .htpasswd files from being
    viewed by Web clients.
    <FilesMatch "^\.ht">
        Order allow,deny
        Deny from all
    </FilesMatch>
    ErrorLog: The location of the error log file.
    If you do not specify an ErrorLog directive within a <VirtualHost>
    container, error messages relating to that virtual host will be
    logged here.  If you do define an error logfile for a <VirtualHost>
    container, that host's errors will be logged there and not here.
    ErrorLog logs/error.log
    LogLevel: Control the number of messages logged to the error_log.
    Possible values include: debug, info, notice, warn, error, crit,
    alert, emerg.
    LogLevel warn
    <IfModule log_config_module>
    The following directives define some format nicknames for use with
    a CustomLog directive (see below).
        LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%You need to enable mod_logio.c to use %I and %Oi\" \"%{User-Agent}i\"" combined
        LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b" common
        <IfModule logio_module>
          LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%i\" \"%{User-Agent}i\" %I %O" combinedio
        </IfModule>
    The location and format of the access logfile (Common Logfile Format).
    If you do not define any access logfiles within a <VirtualHost>
    container, they will be logged here.  Contrariwise, if you do
    define per-<VirtualHost> access logfiles, transactions will be
    logged therein and not in this file.
        CustomLog logs/access.log common
    If you prefer a logfile with access, agent, and referer information
    (Combined Logfile Format) you can use the following directive.
        #CustomLog logs/access.log combined
    </IfModule>
    <IfModule alias_module>
    Redirect: Allows you to tell clients about documents that used to
    exist in your server's namespace, but do not anymore. The client
    will make a new request for the document at its new location.
    Example:
    Redirect permanent /foo http://www.example.com/bar
    Alias: Maps web paths into filesystem paths and is used to
    access content that does not live under the DocumentRoot.
    Example:
    Alias /webpath /full/filesystem/path
    If you include a trailing / on /webpath then the server will
    require it to be present in the URL.  You will also likely
    need to provide a <Directory> section to allow access to
    the filesystem path.
    ScriptAlias: This controls which directories contain server scripts.
    ScriptAliases are essentially the same as Aliases, except that
    documents in the target directory are treated as applications and
    run by the server when requested rather than as documents sent to the
    client.  The same rules about trailing "/" apply to ScriptAlias
    directives as to Alias.
        ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "c:/apache/cgi-bin/"
    </IfModule>
    "c:/apache/cgi-bin" should be changed to whatever your ScriptAliased
    CGI directory exists, if you have that configured.
    <Directory "c:/apache/cgi-bin">
        AllowOverride None
        Options None
        Order allow,deny
        Allow from all
    </Directory>
    Apache parses all CGI scripts for the shebang line by default.
    This comment line, the first line of the script, consists of the symbols
    pound (#) and exclamation followed by the path of the program that
    can execute this specific script.  For a perl script, with perl.exe in
    the C:\Program Files\Perl directory, the shebang line should be:
       #!c:/program files/perl/perl
    Note you mustnot_ indent the actual shebang line, and it must be the
    first line of the file.  Of course, CGI processing must be enabled by
    the appropriate ScriptAlias or Options ExecCGI directives for the files
    or directory in question.
    However, Apache on Windows allows either the Unix behavior above, or can
    use the Registry to match files by extention.  The command to execute
    a file of this type is retrieved from the registry by the same method as
    the Windows Explorer would use to handle double-clicking on a file.
    These script actions can be configured from the Windows Explorer View menu,
    'Folder Options', and reviewing the 'File Types' tab.  Clicking the Edit
    button allows you to modify the Actions, of which Apache 1.3 attempts to
    perform the 'Open' Action, and failing that it will try the shebang line.
    This behavior is subject to change in Apache release 2.0.
    Each mechanism has it's own specific security weaknesses, from the means
    to run a program you didn't intend the website owner to invoke, and the
    best method is a matter of great debate.
    To enable the this Windows specific behavior (and therefore -disable- the
    equivilant Unix behavior), uncomment the following directive:
    #ScriptInterpreterSource registry
    The directive above can be placed in individual <Directory> blocks or the
    .htaccess file, with either the 'registry' (Windows behavior) or 'script'
    (Unix behavior) option, and will override this server default option.
    DefaultType: the default MIME type the server will use for a document
    if it cannot otherwise determine one, such as from filename extensions.
    If your server contains mostly text or HTML documents, "text/plain" is
    a good value.  If most of your content is binary, such as applications
    or images, you may want to use "application/octet-stream" instead to
    keep browsers from trying to display binary files as though they are
    text.
    DefaultType text/plain
    <IfModule mime_module>
    TypesConfig points to the file containing the list of mappings from
    filename extension to MIME-type.
        TypesConfig conf/mime.types
    AddType allows you to add to or override the MIME configuration
    file specified in TypesConfig for specific file types.
        #AddType application/x-gzip .tgz
    AddEncoding allows you to have certain browsers uncompress
    information on the fly. Note: Not all browsers support this.
        #AddEncoding x-compress .Z
        #AddEncoding x-gzip .gz .tgz
    If the AddEncoding directives above are commented-out, then you
    probably should define those extensions to indicate media types:
        AddType application/x-compress .Z
        AddType application/x-gzip .gz .tgz
    AddHandler allows you to map certain file extensions to "handlers":
    actions unrelated to filetype. These can be either built into the server
    or added with the Action directive (see below)
    To use CGI scripts outside of ScriptAliased directories:
    (You will also need to add "ExecCGI" to the "Options" directive.)
        #AddHandler cgi-script .cgi
    For type maps (negotiated resources):
        #AddHandler type-map var
    Filters allow you to process content before it is sent to the client.
    To parse .shtml files for server-side includes (SSI):
    (You will also need to add "Includes" to the "Options" directive.)
        #AddType text/html .shtml
        #AddOutputFilter INCLUDES .shtml
    </IfModule>
    The mod_mime_magic module allows the server to use various hints from the
    contents of the file itself to determine its type.  The MIMEMagicFile
    directive tells the module where the hint definitions are located.
    #MIMEMagicFile conf/magic
    Customizable error responses come in three flavors:
    1) plain text 2) local redirects 3) external redirects
    Some examples:
    #ErrorDocument 500 "The server made a boo boo."
    #ErrorDocument 404 /missing.html
    #ErrorDocument 404 "/cgi-bin/missing_handler.pl"
    #ErrorDocument 402 http://www.example.com/subscription_info.html
    EnableMMAP and EnableSendfile: On systems that support it,
    memory-mapping or the sendfile syscall is used to deliver
    files.  This usually improves server performance, but must
    be turned off when serving from networked-mounted
    filesystems or if support for these functions is otherwise
    broken on your system.

  • OSB: Retrieve list of proxy service/business service operations via OSB API

    Hi,
    I would like to retrieve the list of proxy service/business service operations using OSB API. I was able to retrieve References to all services on given server using examples from documentation (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/javadoc/com/bea/wli/sb/management/configuration/ALSBConfigurationMBean.html). I'm also able to retrieve the Reference to any given service I want.
    My problem is - what do I do next? I've read here[http://www.theserverlabs.com/blog/2012/03/14/alsbosb-customization-using-wlst/] , that one can use ServiceConfigurationMBean.
    But when I execute this code:
              ServiceConfigurationMBean servConfMBean = (ServiceConfigurationMBean) domainService
              .findService(
                        ServiceConfigurationMBean.NAME + "." + sessionName,
                        ServiceConfigurationMBean.TYPE,null);
    The servConfMBean object is null.
    I know that there might be some useful info in the statistics, but my proxys are enabled for monitoring, and therefore I'm unable to obtain statistics programatically.
    I've also learned that thereis a TransportManagerHelper.getWsdlDescription(ref) method. But it throws null pointer exception. I dont understand how to use it.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    There is an API change from the OSB release 11.1.1.3 and later....
    There is a solution, but this is based on Java & JMX:
    See support on this note:
    WLST scripting needed for note [ID 1431254.1]

  • Need Java API's to create OSB proxy and Business Services

    Hi All,
    I need to create OSB proxy and business services using Java API's. Does any one have reference to the OSB APIs??

    AFAIK it is proprietary.
    What I do in a similar situation is to form XML for the services, package them into JAR the same way as an import JAR is packaged (creating ExportInfo resource, ...) and deploy with standard WSLT script. Works for simplest services only (direct proxies mostly) but I can also form security, alerts, throttling etc etc etc -- all in one shot.
    Out of sheer interest, may I ask you a question? Why do you need to create OSB services from Java?

  • Error: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 400 Bad Request

    Hi Gurus,
    i am hardly fighting with this error in Communication Channel Monitoring:

    My CommChan is a SOAP Receiver

    and this Module configuration (and only this)
    transform     Transform.ContentType     text/xml;charset=utf-8
    (according to /people/sobhithalaxmi.kata/blog/2009/07/21/cost-free-edi-integration-using-message-transformation-bean)
    As far as i understand that my http header should have Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 now. I don't understand why Communication Channel Monitoring shows an error according to content TEXT/HTML.
    Can anyone help me with that?
    Is it possible that Transform.ContentType does not work for SOAP Receiver Adapter?
    is there any chance to view the HTTP-Header of the outgoing SOAP Request (with PI Transaction / Java Enironment) to convince myself that the HTTP Header is text/xml?
    Thank you in advance and Best Regards
    Udo

    Hi Thanks for your fast replies.
    The Provider of the Endpoint tells me that he needs text/xml as content-type. When I sent a message to the given Endpoint via SOAP UI I can see in the HTTP LOG of SOAP UI that the Endpoint is also sending text/xml back.

    2011-04-29 11:37:46 Error The message status was set to NDLV.
    What i am missing is a hint on the Message Transform Bean and a on a successfull sending process.
    What i also tried already:
    i also activated the checkbox "Do not use SOAP Envelop" in CommChan Configuration. The Result you see below (the last log entry is on first line - so read from bottom to top)
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request
    error in response
    call completed
    request entering
    Message processing started
    As you can see there is a "call completed" and "error in response" log entry. This is missing in in the first Log. So i guess the error is still in the sending process.
    Installing additional Software on the PI and use them to find out what the HTTP Request is is not possible as system access is very strict and limited :/

  • Applying configuration on proxy- or business-service

    Hello! When i apply configuration on working proxy- or business-service with a lot of messages, then i can have trouble with http_500 code at ~1 second on OSB's cluster nodes. I just want to know how this work. Is OSB loses some messages from business service, or nothing receiving messages is lose and http_500 is only for new requests (like graceful restart)?

    (My opinion only though based on observation. I did not actually read the design papers on that).
    OSB artifacts are internally compiled into EJB applications. When configuration changes, old applications are unloaded, new ones loaded. In between you get 500 with a message saying something like "Configuration is in transition".
    My understanding the messages that are in-flight within the old applications are trying to complete while the unloading happens. Some will, some won't.
    Incoming messages coming during the unload-load gap get 500.
    Messages after the new EJB is loaded are processed successfully.
    If you must provide message deliver guarantees, you gotta go with persistent storage (JMS) and transactions.

  • Http error 400 - bad request when calling external webservice

    I have a problem connecting OSB to webservices exposed by Lotus Domino Server.
    When I test the services with XMLSpy, it works fine. I started a project in OSB, and imported WSDL files from the server url. So far it worked. I built the corresponding Business services. When I tried to test these business services, i got error 400 from the domino server.
    Does anyone have an idea to fix this problem?

    Yes, the problem should be in the request, but in the test console the request document looked fine.
    I tried the following:
    I tested the service with XMLSpy. I took the soap envelope generated, and pasted it into the business service test console. Then the payload should be the same in both cases, but it does not work.

  • Serious bug in Weblogic when connecting to a remote website through a local proxy server (proxyHost, proxyPort)

    Hi there,
    It seems that there is a serious problem with any version of Weblogic when you
    have to pass through a local proxy server to connect a remote website.
    Whenever I am trying to run the jsp program below either with Weblogic 7.0 SP2
    or even with Weblogic 8.1, I get the following exception :
    An error occured: Tried all: '1' addresses, but could not connect over HTTP to
    server: 'www.sun.com', port: '80'
    When I run the same program outside Weblogic, it works fine. Other people have
    already reported the same problem either in this newsgroup or on Internet forums,
    and up to now, the problem is not fixed yet.
    In fact, Weblogic seems to block when it performs the connect() method to the
    proxy, my jsp program hangs a few minutes before returning the error message shown
    above.
    If anyboby can tells me how this problem can be solved (or maybe via a workaround)
    do not hesitate to keep me informed, thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    The way to set the HTTP connection using a proxy server changed (from
    using the system property
    weblogic.webservice.transport.http.proxy.host/port)[1] in WLS 7.x to the
    standard JDK 1.4 system properties [2] in WLS 8.1.
    I would recommend opening a dialog with our outstanding support team [3]
    to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,

    Yes Martina,
    It has been done through ESM

    Yes, EAS works perfectly fine with 2010 mailboxes.
    OK.
    It might be that it's not possible to run Test-ActiveSyncConnectivity against a mailbox stored in Exchange 2003.
    Installing KB937031 and enabling Windows Authentication is really all that needs to be done in EX03, in order for Exchange 2010 to proxy the EAS requests.

    Hello,
    Your message contains a an HTTP 404 error so the URL that you are trying to access is not valid.
    Can you check from a browser what is the response when you call the endpoint?
    http://server:port/wedanyservices-WedanyServicesPro-context-root/MyWebService2
    I believe that you do not have a service deployed at this URL this is why you have such response, and you cannot send another response.
    Regards
    Tugdual Grall

  • "The request failed with HTTP Status 400: Bad Request." when running reports

    Hi,
    I installed reporting services and the install went fine.  The Reporting Services are located on a different server.  I can see all the reports in SCCM but when I try to run them I get the "400" error with the following details:
    System.Net.WebException
    The request failed with HTTP status 400: Bad Request.
    Stack Trace:

    I can open the URL from the SCCM server but when I select a report I am unable to select any report options if available.  If no options are availble the report just doesn't run,  I don't get and error if I select "View Report" mutiple
    times.
    If I connect to the Reporting Services site on the computer where it is installed all the reports run fine.
    One thing I have noticed is that when I try to change or add a role assignment for Reporting Services the edited account always reverts back to the default settings and the added Domain user is dropped.
    Thanks

    I reviewed the topic and found a couple of steps I missed the first time around.  I had to "Configure Reports to Use Report Builder 3.0 and setting the "Log on Locally" permission.
    I then uninstalled the role and reinstalled it.  I am still getting the 400 error.
    When I inspected the SmsAdminUI.log I noticed the Error on the last line 2151811598 (it repeats in the log).  I couldn't find anything specific related to it.  By reading a few "related" Internet posts I came accross a intial setup
    blog that noted some WMI firewall execptions (Async-in, DCOM-in and WMI-in) as require so I checked and they were not allowed on the SCCM server so I allowed them and tested with the same result.  I turned them off again.
    Here is the tail end of the SmsAdminUI.log

  • Download Manager - failing with error 400 Bad Request

    Each time I try to download some patches from the download basket I get this error: The request failed: 400.  Download Manager says the files are Partially Downloaded but the downloads never complete (they just cycle round one after another attempting each download before failing).  The connection to SAP ssems to be made correctly (see trace file extract below)
    I'm running JRE version 1.4.2_12; download manager ver 2.1.130.  I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling JRE & download manager (numerous times).  Does anyone have any suggestions about what might be the cause?
    Thanks, Chris

    Yes - I've checked the address w're pointing to & have rechecked several times with our network people re: the proxy.
    The trace seems to show that we're certainly making the initial connections to SAP OK - it just gives up after a few redirections.
