Bad sound quality (less surround) with Flash players past the 10.3 version

Some months ago I tested one of the 11.X versions and had the same problem. Aaaand now I tested the latest 11.8 version - still the same problem.
I have PERFECT audio with 10.3 and HTML5. Sounds exactly as it should.
But with a later version of the Flash player, there's somehow "less" surround to the audio on videos and the volume is louder. This has nothing to do with sound stutter or any of that sort. It's all about the fact that the quality is just plain worse. It's like the sound is... um... Mono? When it should be stereo/surround. Again, it's perfect with 10.3 and HTML5.
Sooo... any ideas? I tested the latest version again after all those months because I kinda expected this problem to be gone. But no, it's still there.
I use Firefox by the way.
Edit: Perhaps it's after 11.2 version that this problem occurs. Figured it might be after reading another thread about something similar. Not sure though.

I am trying to load an external swf file of size 300 kb using Loader.load() method and trying to access some objects in it and i am getting some delay in loading the external file with flash players 10.1 and next versions.

Is it possible to get a refund if i bought an album with extremely bad sound quality?

As asked in the title, is it possible to get a refund if i bought an album with extremely bad sound quality?
I am very unsatisfied with my latest purchase of the album "Never take ffriendship personal" by "Anberlin" ...
I can find all the songs in much better quality, even on YouTube ...
I bought two other albums by Anberlin at the same time, on which the sound quality is much much better and perfectly clear.
is it possible to get some sort of refund ???

Windows Xp bad sound quality after installing itunes 10.5

After installing itunes 10.5 to be able to get the ios5 update my itunes plays every file with really bad, distorted quality. I try other players even Quicktime works fine. What could be happening?

Try to download, and install the latest Realtek HD Audio driver.
Here is the download link:

And when you install this, i think everything will be good.

E430 Fix bad sound quality with Win 7 + Dolby Advanced Audio

Problem: In Windows 7 x64, sound quality is tinny and sounds very badly DSPed when Dolby Advanced Audio is activated. Even setting all effects off and EQ off the sound is bad simply because Dolby is/was turned on. Going to Sound > Playback > Speakers > Properties > Enhancements, checking Disable All Enhancements and clicking Apply clears up the sound, but then the EQ won't have any effect.
Solution: If you have Win 7 x64, uninstall the Win 7 driver (h0a114ww.exe) and instead install the Windows 8 driver (h0ac10ww.exe). Note that this is NOT the Win 8.1 driver - that won't install under Win 7. The sound quality will be way better when you use Dobly EQ and effects. So far I haven't had any stability problems.
I thought my E430 had the worst sound card ever until I upgraded to Windows 8 and installed the new driver. I have Windows 7 dual booted and found the sound quality in Win 7 terrible so I played around with it and found the above solution.

6120c with 3.83 producing bad sound quality !

hi i got a new 6120c few days back and currently i have 3.83 V firmware , i am experiencing very bad mp3 quality when ever i use supplied head set which is HS47, that sound quality is below average or may be my phone is producing just mono not sure about it ... is nokia planning to come up with any new firmware for 6120c???
can we rollback its current firmware 3.83 to the orignal and older one which i think was 3.41 ????

Hi, did you use the Music Transfer application from Nokia PC Suite to transfer your mp3 files to the phone? If yes, probably your files were converted to .aac format to decrease file size and probably they lost some quality. This happened to me before. So I just used File Manager from Nokia PC Suite to copy my mp3 files from the PC to the phone's memory card as they are, without any conversion. This procedure solved the sound quality issues for me.

VERY BAD SOUND: MacBook Pro (unibody) with external JBL Creature speakers

Recently I've bought myself a brand new Mac Book Pro. I'm very happy with my new laptop, but I can't say that about the audio-output quality my new MacBook Pro delivers in combination with my existing external JBL Creature speaker set. In the recent past this speaker set was attached to my old iMac 17" flat, which delivered supreme music quality, but now in combination with my by far more superiour new MacBook Pro, the music sounds very disturbed with a background noise and it seems that the speakers do get to much power/signal - but still the music sounds very far away and the more I pump the volume the worse gets the music output (i.e. more noise is coming out of the speaker) and the right channel seems to have less power (or output). Now I've disconnected my JBL Creature speakers set as from time to time also static ticks are loudly to be heard when just connected whilst I don't do anything with my MacBook Pro.
Can anyone tell me whether this is a problem of the audio-design of the new MacBook Pro (aluminium unibody) and if so is there a solution for to by-pass or overcome this very annoying problem.

It is true that the audio quality is a total crap, the audio card seems to be "Realtek" and yes it is ****, I am really ****** cause it is not a cheap computer and I have always used mac too and I am really disapointed. I just can't believe that Apple has passed by the audio quality that is so carefully observed in the ipod products. I have been blessed (no, it is really a curse) with a very sensitive unhuman high frequency hearing and my ears really hurt when I use the earphones with the Macbook notPro and I use it at low volume. You can even hear when the sound system goes off when no sound is played for a little while and the when a sound is played goes on and the noise begins. Also you can hear strange whistles and sissings wich are not continuous but the main amp noise is there. This kind of noise is produced by bad quality, low eficiency amplifiers or other factors I do not know. But I have tested several realtek integrated cards and the all are pure crap or less than crap.

Camera - bad sound quality - Iphone 4

I've no idea what's wrong with my Iphone 4 (iOS6, no jailbreak etc.) . When I used IOS 4, everything was fine but after update ios 5, and now ios 6....my sound in movies (recorded on iphone) is very weak. I've checked recording using Voice Recorder - microphone in my device is correct - sound is very clear with a high quality so the problem is no with iphone hardware! What should I do to repair that problem in camera mode?! It sounds noisy and blur. Help:/

I have the same issue. The "crackling" gets so bad that I cannot hear anyting else. This issue comes and goes, if i wait a few minutes usually the crackling will go away. I don't think its an "area" issue, since it happens all over town. Could it be an AT@T issue? They don't know......"we will look into it"

I got it out a week ago..
But the sound quality is really bad.
Theres too much echo, not enough bass and too much distortion and gain...

Based on other user's expereince, the headphone jack is damaged and requires replacement provided that the problem is only with headphones.

Printing problems with Flash Players 10.1 and 10.2

I'm having problems when printing "lengthy" reports under Flash Players 10.1 and 10.2. (By "lengthy" I mean 15+ pages, but it seems dependent on the content of the pages.)
Symptoms: On OS X with Safari (with debug Player 10.2) I get timeout errors. On Windows with IE (regular Flash Player 10.2), the system crawls to almost a halt, heavy CPU and memory usage. With Firefox on Windows, the Flash Player will crash. A user with Player 10.1 on Windows also reports The Flash Player crashing in Firefox (he has 8GB of RAM).
The reports print fine under Flash Player 10.0
There was an earlier post here about what seems like the same issue. (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3486765)
There is a bug report (https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-6087), but so far no response from Adobe.
I'm surprised about how few reports there are about the issue, which makes me think it may be my code. (But it worked under 10.0.)
I'd be interested to know if others are experiencing the problem.
Better still, if anyone has any tips on how to resolve the issue.

This is rediculous. I have an application in use by thousands of students, and their teachers are supposted to be able to print login sheets for their classroom. This was functioning fine for years, and now with the latest player upgrades, it's failing to print or printing only a few of the total pages. I'm even seeing it print one additional page each time... first successfully printing 3 pages, then 4, then 5, when printing with adobe acrobat to PDF. What happened? What is this talk of timeouts when printing? I'm not getting any error messages, it's just completing the file and displaying the PDF with only 4 of the 15 or 20 pages that Flash should have sent to the printer.

I was wondering if you have fixed the compatibility issues with java and flash players in the new patch

after update 6.0.0 all java scripts and flash players where incompatible and disabled i tried re-down loading new versions and tried to erase Firefox and all ad-dons and reload them and still had issues with them i had to re-download Firefox 5 to continue to use your program and i wanna make sure that in 6.0.2 i will not have to do the same thing.. it is a head ache and inconvenient

Why the extremely poor sound quality in playback with itunes?

I am having problems with the sound quality of itunes music. this applies to both downloads and cd's. This problem is new, I believe, and affects bluetooth speaker, earphones, and macbook pro internal speaker. All have extremely poor playback with itunes. This Problem does not happen with playback of youtube videos.

I would be worth playing some tracks with Quicktime so see what the quality is like there.
iTunes uses Quicktime to play music.

IPhones 3GS dead pixel and bad sound quality

As i was going through some photos i notice a small white dot then looking closer to the screen i recently notice about 4 dead pixels and also when playing music through headphones the sound quality is not clear. I tested my iphone and a ipod touch with the same song and the results were the ipod touch had better sound than my phone. Can apple fix this?? Thanks

As for dead pixels, Apple considers a small number as unavoidable with LCD displays and covers only a "high number" under the warranty. Apple would have to inspect the phone and determine if it's a covered defect. Make an appointment with an Apple Store Genius Bar.

Bad sound, X-treme Music with 64-bit Windows 7

I just upgraded my machine from XP to 7.
Initially I "did it wrong", and installed the 32-bit version of 7 on my machine. The sound was working perfectly then.
Then I realized my mistake (since my RAM wasn't all showing up) and I reformatted to 64-bit Windows 7 instead.
And now my troubles begin.
The only driver available for my card states that it is for both versions of 7.
But now the sound is choppy; it skips, jumps around and is generally unpleasant. When I first installed the driver--before the restart--the sound worked PERFECTLY. Then I restarted and now I'm back to horrible choppy sound, with occassional patches of good behavior.
I know it has to be driver related since it worked FINE on 32-bit XP and Windows 7.
What am I missing here? Is there some setting or something?

With multiple players only the first created is in the foreground

Using JMF 2.1.1, I can create multiple players. There's some fishy behavior though. The application has a JFrame, with a JTabbedPane. Within the JTabbedPane, there are a number of JInternalFrame's - each containing a lightweight Player.
1. The first created player with always be in the foreground. Selecting other players, or moving them around the screen does not bring the video to the foreground. In fact, if they get cascaded, the video is always seen in the order the players were created.
Is there a way to bring a player into the foreground?
2. Moving the JInternalFrame's around the visible area, it behaves strangely at the edges of the application area. The video can actually overlap slightly, the boundary of the JTabbedPane, for example.

I have found the root of my problem: you cannot mix heavy and lightweight components very easily. The description at

describes and has perfect examples of what is happening to me. The Player method getVisualComponent() returns a java.awt.Component, and that's the problem!
The heavy weight awt objects are over writing the light weight swing components.
damn! Anybody know how to change that? I already use the "lightweight renderer" hint in the manager. Trying to cast the player to javax.swing.JComponent will compile, but bombs at run-time. I'd hate to switch over to all heavyweight awt components just to fix this up.
