Bad Update 10.4.6 - please help!
I see that I am not alone with 10.4.6 update causing major problems. This sounds like an Apple problem, not an individual one...
Anyway, after trying to update, got a message that said it wouldn't install. Tried rebooting - bad mistake. Just got the spinning grey ball like others have reported. Put in my original Tiger disk and did a disk utilities. Did both a repair permissions and a repair disk. No luck. I then installed tiger on my external backup disk and booting from the backup, was able to get the computer up and running.
I then went out and bought Diskwarrior, ran the progam for my internal hardrive, and still no success.
I have not done anything else for fear of digging a deeper hole.
My next move would be to re-install Tiger on the internal disk and update again.
What would you suggest? I AM NOT A COMPUTER GEEK, please, please, explain a solution in layman's english.
On a side note, I have never had a problem with an upgrade. The fact that many others are reporting a problem with this particular upgarde tells me that this is an Apple issue.

Do not jump to conclusions. OS X 10.4.6 is a very stable update. It is impossible to determine (from here) what caused your problem.
I suggest you consider an archive and install:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120
and/or reapply OS X 10.4.6, using the combo download.

Did you go on-line and fix your billing information? You probably need to do this from iTunes on your computer, not your phone.
If you've double checked your credit card info and it still won't take it, contact your card issuer. -

Since an iPhone 3G cannot be updated past iOS 4.2.1...the end of the line for that model iPhone...you can't do what you want, so there's nothing to be fearful of.

I have tried to update my iPhone 4 many times (from iOS 5.1 to latest version), but everytime it fails and says that it cannot be updated. unknown error (3194). please help.

all comes up as plug in failure no matter what browser. i have updated everything. some one please help me? its been going on for a month. but it used to go away if i restarted the browser. and now nothing works.

You don't have much choice, do you? You're either going to have to restore the software or take it to the Genius Bar to see about getting that button fixed.

2.02 update broke my iphone. please help.
ok, so I just went to update my iphone like normal, and it asked me to do the new software update, which I did. The first time, it said my software was corrupt and that it could not be completed. It also told me to unplug it and try it again. After an hour, (this is the 2nd time) it finally finished; only it told me that the phone could not be updated because of an error. Then the phone showed a picture of itunes and the usb port, telling me to connect to itunes. Upon doing so, I was told my phone was in recovery mode and needed a full restore to work again. So I tried to restore it, and now for the past 3 attempts, it will not restore, it just keeps saying "this iphone could not be restored" yet the phone keeps telling me to plug it back into itunes.. please help!!
I had major crashing on my apps. All of them. Every few days. I tried everything I could think of; at my wits end, I called Apple support.
Here is my fix (I was still using 2.0.1 when I did the fix); didn't post for 4 days, just to make sure.
I was told to restore my iphone and use the new phone option. I did this and then loaded up some apps; All went well. I added some more apps=50 so far out of the 89 I use. All is well. I have had no issues after updating to 2.0.2.
The only real problem I have is with some apps crashing; but not crashing all apps. And connection problem with one app. I'm sure
they will fix this, so until then, I reboot my iphone or delete the bad app and reload if I have to.
Oh, one more thing; before you sync your iphone, make sure you have authorized you computer in itunes; have heard this may cause apps to crash because of DRM issues?

• Find the iMovie pref file and trash this
• Now first - Re-Start iMovie

Cannot sync Ipad after updating to ios7! Please help!
I just updated my family's Ipad, called "Soy's iPad" to ios7. I created a backup on my iTunes account just before I updated. Now, when trying to sync my Ipad after downloading ios7 iTunes gives me the error:
"The iPad "Soy's iPad" could not be synched because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPad.
To authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store choose Store > Authorize this Computer."
So I authorize the computer and iTunes gives me the message "This computer has already been authroized." So, naturally, I try to sync the iPad again. It gives me the same "computer is no longer authorized" error message. It's an infinite loop. Please help me get my data back on my iPad.
Signing out and then back in to iTunes does not help either. Also, under my iTunes account under manage devices, Soy's iPad does not even show up as one of my devices anymore. How to I add my iPad back as an authroized device on my Apple ID?

Please help me get my iPad working again!Your iPad is not syncing with iTunes now and before it does start to sync and before you create a backup that overwrites the current backup that holds all of your data and camera roll photos, you should probably turn off autosync. I should have thought of that before, but if the iPad isn't syncing, no damage has been done.
Launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices. Check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from automatically syncing. Click OK.
If it doesn't make that much difference to anybody, you could try deleting the app and see if that will let you sync after you delete it. You will lose all of your progress in the game if you delete it, but - if you did create a backup before you updated - then your game progress should be included in that backup.
BTW, did you try restoring from the backup that you created before you updated, and then try to sync with iTunes? Restoring form that backup should restore the old settings that were on the iPad and the iPad was syncing properly while using those settings. -

Why post code with access to a database? We can't access the database.
Search the forum for my "Database Information" (without the space) example class which shows you how to refresh a table with new data.

My software update dosent work. It has worked in the past, but one day it just stopped working... it returnes with an error saying "Sorry, an unexpected error occurred. The Installer package has been moved to the Trash. To try again, open the package from the Finder."
