Your user agent looks quite normal to me.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

How do you use user defined error messages in Value Help?

Hi,
I'm currently working on a Modifiable Value Help Selector in Web Dynpro Java, and I want to use a user defined error message when I validate the values entered by a user. Currently, it's returning its default error message ("Character <string> does not match...").
Since the project requires a different error message, is there a way to override the default error message and use my defined error message instead?

Hi Angelo,
I am not sure why message area is showing both Custom and inbuilt messages but you can try the following:
i guess you must be using reportContextAttribute exception for showing Error messages on the input fields as well.in that case you can disable the message area so messages will appear only on the Context level ie; on input fields.
For other messages apart from validation messages you can enable the message area before reporting the exception.
make sure the boolean context variable which will be used for enabling and disabling the message area should have Readonly property set as true.
I am not sure whether this is the only solution for this but you can try and see if it works.

i want to display a user-defined error-message, if for example a select in an anonymous PL/SQL block returns more than one row. i tried it with an user defined exception, but i get allways the success message... how can i do that?

'Error 49 bad bind variable' error message.

When I copied a form that has been working from our Linux server to my PC and compiled it, I received many error messages like this in several procedures, functions and triggers:
“Error 49 at line 69, column 10, bad bind variable ‘edit_Dealer.corporation’
Does anybody know why this is? As I said, the app works for the end user from the Linux server.

Does the form you copied have any attached libraries or subclassed objects? If so, did you copy the Library and Object source files to your PC as well? If you copied these supporting files already, are they in a directory location that is part of your FORMS_PATH?

BADI INVOICE_UPDATE Removing error message

Hi
I have implemented some validations in BADI INVOICE_UPDATE and I raise the ERROR_WITH_MESSAGE exception in case of incorrect data entered via MIRO.
But after user corrects the error and presses ENTER, the Error message still remains in the message tab.
Is there any way to delete the error message?

Bad user experience/errors with Adobe Air widget installation

I'm having a nervous breakdown at work (it's 10pm and I'm
still in the office), an Adobe Air widget application I've built is
somehow causing the client to panic (they can't install or run the
Adobe Air installation or the widget and now they feel all their
users are having the same problem). If anyone has a minute to try
this out and let me know if the widget installs correctly of if you
have any recommendations on a better user experience I'll greatly
appreciate it. The client is receiving an error message when
installing Adobe Air (error 0 or something).

The application installed just fine for me. I'm running
Windows XP SP2 and I already have AIR 1.1 runtime installed.
I do have a few suggestions for improvement though! Just take
or leave any or all of these! :)

Is this really a necessary requirement? If you are
downloading the .air I think it would not matter whether or not you
have Flash installed.

I would recommend against using all caps in your messages.
I would recommend choosing a better font (maybe a pixel font)

How to populate User defined Error message

we have 2 types users(patient and doctor) some fields are mandatory for doctor and some of them for patient creation.
when they miss some fields while creating doctor it has to throw error message saying " these fields arer mandatory for doctor " same will follow for patient.
so can any body please tell me how to use the UDF error messages. (no external code).

we are trying to raise few error messages while creating equipments through BADI's (Processing through IE02 and BAPI's).
No BADI's are supporting for raising error messages.
SAP doesnt support processing of userexits through BAPI's (refer note 564467).
we actually need to implement these checks and should available for all the below processes:
Through IE02
while doing through BAPI's
While Executing MASS CHANGE functionality (IE05)
Please suggest any other solution to achieve all the three at one go instead of creating some enhancements for every thing.

Try and search for a BADI....for transaction I102...take the package name and go to SE18 and see if BADI's are available...
Alternatively search for key CL_EXITHANDLER or get BADI in the main program of IE02..
if you are using SAP ECC6.0 then implicit or explicit enhancements will be available... Utilize them to meet your requirement...

One User gets error Message saving an Incident, another user with the same rigthts not

We have a user sometimes getting an error message (see beyond) when saving an Incdient eg. only modified the descrition field. The user is able to create, update and resolve all other incidents. The user also may have changed this incident before.
When we use an other user with the same rigths, this user is allowed to modify the description field (and others)
We tested: The behavoir does not change for the first user, after the second user changed something.
It's not the workflow for the first assigned to date
No other user tries to use this incidents
We have a custom field, but it is not used in this case (so I know Romans SQL

Create project from template failed with "badly formed pathname" error message

Hi,
I am trying to create a project from a custom template, but I am getting the following error message prompt:
LabWindows/CVI could not create
Test_Project
because of an error: Badly formed pathname
However, when I checked the target project directory, I see the project files are copied correctly. I don't know if there is something missing from our custom templates? Of, if there is something wrong with our custom template?
I am using LabWindows/9.0

Hi Peggy,
Did I understand you correctly that the files for the new project appear to have been created, but the error dialog still shows? In addition to Wolfgang's suggestions, take a look at the help section on New Project and File Templates. This describes everything that should be needed to create a custom template. Also, try to create a new, very basic custom template and make sure that you can use it successfully. If you can, start adding in the functionality of the original template, and test along the way. Hopefully either this new one will work once you finish, or you will see at which point it is breaking, and we can debug from there.

I interpret the error as saying, the user ftperp does not have authorization to access host 10.240.0.15.
So, connect to host 10.240.0.15 and check this user, if necessary change password to that used by your Z program.

Cannot set AppleID under users? Error message CSIdentityErrorDomai error - 100

I'm trying to link my user ID with my AppleID but every time I try it pops up with a little yellow triangle that when i hover over it says "CSIdentityErrorDomai error - 100". I know I am entering my username and password correctly because I am able to log into the AppleID site and also I can access itunes perfectly. I know it is not an issue of special characters because neither my ID nor my password contain any special characters. Can anyone help me figure this out?

im having a same problem also after reinstalling fresh mac os x lion. I already reinstalled trying to figure this bad boy out.... Im probably wrong but i think this is happening because when i was installing fresh copy, os asked me if i wanted to allow user to reset password using apple ID. I can't Check/Uncheck the box and it's greyed out... It's 3 am in Korea (i'm in korean right now but did purchase this bad boy in US) and I just can't format/reinstall Lion. I'll do this first thing in the moring and i'll make sure I will not allow user to reset password using Apple ID. You have option to do this when you are installing fresh Lion... I also can't clock "Allow user to administer this computer". You guys wanna check this for me under users and groups? I'll try this and if it still doesn't work, then i'll go to one of the apple store in Korea.. I'll let you know tomorrow

When one acco has iTunes open, the other users get error message

I have Vista Ultimate, 64 bit. My computer has three user accounts. If one user has iTunes open, then, when another user logs on, he gets window after window of "You can't start iTunes because someone else has it open", even though he's not trying to start iTunes!
The only solution is to log off the first user which is not always desirable if that user is not around. This is happening awhile now. Is there no fix yet???

I have the same problem described; let me add some information.
1) I am set up as the "Owner" in Win7. My wife is set up as 2nd account. If I have iTunes open and my wife opens her account nothing happens. However, if my wife has iTunes open and I open my account, Windows gives me that annoying message saying that another user has iTunes open...every 30 seconds.

User gets error message when logging into a new pc "Outlook is using anold copy of your .ost"

We have a user who needs to login to multiple pc's. When she logs into a new pc and opens Outlook she gets the error.
"Outlook is using an old copy of your Outlook data fuile (.ost). Exit Outlook, delete the file, and restart Outlook. Anew file will automatically be created the next time you initiate a send/receive."
We manually delete the file and a new one is created but we would like to find a better resolution to this issue. Also we have just recently migrated to O365. any help with finding a better resolution would be appreciated. Thanks.

New User with Error Message.

I just installed a trial of flex to begin learning flex with
AS3. I have the AS3 cookbook and I just started going through the
chapters. I on the Mac OSX 10.4 OS. I've installed Flex builder
2.0.155577 with flex builder 2 standalone the eclipse platorm and
eclipse RCP. I'm already getting an error when publishing the most
basic application.
