BADI BW question
Dear SAP GURUS,
we upload data into an ODS.
this ODS is used as a generate export datasource.
we upload the ODS data into APO using an APO infopackage connected to the ODS datasource.
And we have implemented a BADI, which is executed during the upload to filter product location existing in APO.
Now we don't want this filter. The class of the BADI was put under commentary. the program was transport in production. But the filter is still there !
Do you know if there is some special action to do apply this change in production ?

It happened like 3 months ago I had to shut down (via force shutdown i.e. holding the power button for over 3 seconds) my Mac after the system became un responsive during an empty trash operation. Then while running apple software update Windows (running Windows via bootcamp) it also locked up (it like completely froze no mouse movement at all). I would like to know if that created a bad sector in my HDD by doing this forced shutdown procedure. I reinstalled Mac OS X just to avoid any problems down the road after the forced shutdown.
Again the question is: Does a forced shutdown can create a bad hard drive sector?
Also, is there a way to recover bad HDD sectors? Disk Utility perhaps?

Snow Leopard's installer is smart. If a system is already present the installer does not erase the drive but installs a fresh system, moves all your stuff into the new system then removes the old one. To erase the drive you must first run Disk Utility from the installer's Utilities menu and use it to erase the drive.
The hard drive and the fans are both starting up at the same time. You may be hearing the fans and not the drive. If you're sure it's the drive making the noise but you don't hear more noise all the time, then it may be nothing. If you are hearing a sort of chirping noise coming from the drive that could be a sign of mechanical failure.
When you open Disk Utility and select your drive's main entry in the sidebar you will get the SMART status reported in the DU status area. If it doesn't say "verified' then the drive is failing. You can also run hardware diagnostics to check:

SNS - sensor error
MEM - memory error
HDD - hard disk drive error
MOT - fan error
Just to clear myself up. When I clicked the "erase" (in Disk Utility) button when I reinstalled OSX 3 months ago on my MacBook Pro, it said in the Disk Utility Progress bar un-mounting image, it took like two minutes. Then I went to install OSX and I had to reinstall iLife, and the rest of my third party apps, so that's why I think I did a clean reinstall.
However, this question of bad sectors came to be because one close friend of mine told me that I damaged my HDD by doing the hard shutdown method (Power button 3-second hold), which of course concerned me. I think I might go ahead and do the zero out disk option when I do reinstall OSX again in the future. As far as disk utility goes, it says that my SMART status is "veryfied" I did also used OnyX SMART status veryfication and it turned out to be ok. I think that I am best off keep using my MacBook Pro until it requires a new OS reinstall or an HDD failure. -
I just imported a song that was recorded for me for the project that I'm working on but when I import it the quality isn't very good as it sounds crackily and drops out at one point. The file is an mp3 and it plays perfectly in iTunes. Any suggestions? I should add that I renedered the file so I could cut my images to it.
Thank you!YOu need to convert it to an AIFF. You can do this with iTunes. In your PREFERENCES>IMPORTING>ADVANCED you can change the format to AIFF 16-bit stereo. Then when you choose ADVANCED>CONVERT SELECTION...AIFF will be an option.

Need Ways to implement Badis in ECC 6.0 (Enhancement Points)

I am new to BADIs. I've a requirement to find a BADI for changing Customer number while posting customer invoice in SAP (the data is coming from XI system in IDOC format). I want to know any BADIs or userexits are there for my requirement. At the same time I want to know how to implement a BADI in ECC 6.0 .Any docs releated to this topic will be of great help.

These steps should enable you to find any BADI related to any transaction in a matter of minutes.
Procedure 1:
1) Go to the transaction SE37 to find your function module.
2) Locate the function SXV_GET_CLIF_BY_NAME.
3) Put a breakpoint there.
4) Now open a new session.
5) Go to your transaction. 6) At that time, it will stop this function.
7) Double click on the function field EXIT_NAME.
8) That will give you name of the BADI that is provided in your transaction.
Business Add-Ins
Procedure 2:
1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
4) Now Execute SAP standard transaction
5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any transaction
SAP Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) are one of the most important technologies used to adapt SAP software to specific requirements. BAdIs were introduced with Release 4.6 and replace function module exits. This technology is not limited to SAP applications. BAdI calls can be integrated in customer applications. These can then be enhanced by other customer applications. In the various SAP applications, BAdI calls are implemented at places where enhancements are appropriate.Business add-ins are enhancements to the standard version of the system. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
In contrast to customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions), but instead allow for a multi-level system landscape (SAP, country-specific versions, industry solutions, partner, customer, and so on). You can create definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins at any level of the system landscape.SAP guarantees the upward compatibility of all Business Add-In interfaces. Release upgrades do not affect enhancement calls from within the standard software nor do they affect the validity of call interfaces. You do not have to register Business Add-Ins in SSCR.
The Business Add-In enhancement technique differentiates between enhancements that can only be implemented once and enhancements that can be used actively by any number of customers at the same time. In addition, Business Add-Ins can be defined according to filter values. This allows you to differentiate between Add-In implementations using the filter Country or other criteria.
The enhancement technique is set up in such a way that it is possible to define interfaces for ABAP soure code, screens, GUI interfaces, and tables. These allow customers to include their own enhancements in the standard. A single Business Add-In contains all of the interfaces necessary to implement a specific task.
BADI is just an object-oriented version of user-exit. Instead of entering program code into some function module (as in customer-exit), you define some class which has to implement predefined methods and those methods are fired at predefined points just like an old user-exit. Some BADI can have multiple independent implementations which is much better for software deployment as several developers can implement the same BADI independently. BADI/UserExists are used to enhance R/3 For customer Needs.
Actually there is no transaction to find when and where the BADI
is called.
1. You can see the BADI description to find why it is called.
2. Once you implemented and activated the BADI, put some break points
in the BADI and see "where else used" option to check in what all
programs this BADI is called. In the ITS debug, when you are doing
the operation what exactly the BADI description tells, it will take
to the break points and you have to do manually debug the whole thing.
I know its bit difficult to do manual debug the whole thing, it
takes lot of time, but you have to be very patience when you are
dealing with BADI's.
Transaction SE18 is the BADI equivalent of transaction SMOD
Transaction SE19 is the BADI equivalent of transaction CMOD .
To find the BADI to be implemented and then implement this via SE19.

BAdI - AC_DOCUMENT / data passing for nested structures
Hi all.
I need your help for this scenario:
I used this to pass value of MM field to FI field from transaction MIGO.
Our company placed field in EKKN-WEMPF to BSEG-ZUONR.
For this one option was: BAdI AC_DOCUMENT
Questions:
1. Nested structures - passing of data:
First problem encountered was with the reading of data from nested structures and passing them to nested structures as well. How to do this? I have used a certain declaration but any input will be much appreciated.
2. When I activated my BAdI, it says error on FI Interface,
specifically on AWREF and AWORG fields.
It is currently blank. Can I use the values in IM_DOCUMENT to pass to EX_DOCUMENT?
(What is a good way to do it since simple syntax does not allow for passing of data bec. structures are incompatible, and added complexity, it has nested structures.)
If you have sample code for this, it would truly be helpful.

We need to clear the following bad situation; we implemented two enhancements for a BAdI which - sadly - can only handle one enhancement. So we deleted one implementation in our T-System, but due to some transport issues we couldnu2019t delete it in our Q-System. Transport objects in the T-System have been deleted manually, so we have no reference to the object (enhancement implementation) in the Q-System anymore.
Does anybody have a solution on how we can set the Q-System to the u201Csettingsu201D of the T-System? Is there any possibility like SPAU for BAdI to delete it in our Q-System?
We tried to open the Q for customizing so that we can delete it by hand, but this doesnu2019t work and I think is although not a good idea.
Any ideas are welcome!

I will try go a little more in details. Itu2019s regarding enhancement spot ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST for which the usability is not set to multiple use.
In our T-System we list only one active enhancement implementation (where we deleted the second one incl. the transport ). I can set a breakpoint in a used method of the enh. impl. and the system stops here. In our Q-System we have two active enh. impl. for this BAdI and wherever I set a breakpoint the system wonu2019t stop. Our needed logic is not going to be processed here, while in T everythingu2019s like we wanted. Therefore I think the problem is the multiple enhancement for this BAdI.
Questions
a) Generally, is it possible to have more than one enh. impl. for the named BAdI?
b) Can I deactivate an enh. impl. in our Q-System (when the system is locked)? If yes, how?
c) How can I delete an enh. impl. in the follow up system if it wonu2019t exist any more in the feeder system?

I tried to use active duplication recently and ran into an issue. When I ran the job from the auxiliary database server it failed. When I ran it from the target(source) database server, it ran fine. Seems odd and am wondering why.
Here is the log I got when running on the auxiliary database server:

So the job connected to both databases, created the script, created the control files on the auxiliary server an stopped and restarted that but failed when it got into the copy file section of the script.
Again, running the exact same thing from the target( source) server ran without issue.

Sorry for my badly phrased question.
True initially it works from both sides.
But halfway it stops working if ran from the aux server.
The question should have been:
Does sqlplus than still works ? (so just after the rman failure)
Maybe the OP can align both tnsnames.ora files and spot a difference?
If the listener(s) or the instance(s) is/are the problem it wouldn't work from both sides.

HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g seems to destroy printheads
My wife and I have identical “HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909g Series” (S/N: [Edited for Personal Information] for my printer) printers bought within several months of each other. We have owned the printers since late 2009.
My printer quit printing cyan completely and magenta partially. I replaced both ink cartridges, which did not fix the problem. I then removed the printheads and cleaned the electrical contacts with denatured alcohol and also cleaned the contacts in the printer. This did not fix the problem either.
So I “borrowed” the printheads from my wife’s identical printer and placed it into my printer. That didn’t fix the problem either. When I put the borrowed printheads back into my wife’s printer, it immediately displayed the same symptoms as my printer (it wouldn’t print cyan at all and partially did not print magenta.
The “Self Test Diagnostic Page” of both printers state that the printheads are “Good” in both printers.
During the “Align Printer” task, the LCD on the printer displays a message indicating that the printhead(s) are bad.
Question: is it possible that the printer itself is faulty and causing the printheads to permanently not work correctly?

Are you seeing any error codes on the printers display screen?
Please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Displaying the path of the file selected by a FileChooser in a TextField
I'm just getting started with Swing. I developed a simple dialog box that has two text fields and two buttons. The objective is to open two files using those two buttons. I used FileChooser to select the files. Now, I want to display the path of the selected files in their corresponding TextFields. I use the following code to do that.

Not the average problem with wireless connection. Please help me..
I've been having wireless connection problems ever since I upgraded to Verizon FiOS from Verizon Wireless. Before upgrading to Verizon FiOS in the fall of 2012, my brother's laptop connected just fine with the connection. After upgrading to Verizon FiOS, my brother's laptop could not connect to the internet. It showed the wireless connection signal as Excellent, but I could not access the internet. Either it would be extremely slow or there would be no connection at all. Also, the router would sometimes restart itself randomly, and it was extremely annoying for me since I am hardwired with my desktop.
This was weird because my iPod Touch connected perfectly fine to the wifi. So I thought it must be the laptop. But I brought the laptop over to my cousin's house, who also happens to have Verizon FiOS, and the laptop connected perfectly fine. I called Verizon and none of the technicians knew what the problem was. We tried disabling and enabling the router, changing the channels, and anything that was on the list. They couldn't help me and I was extremely disappointed because not only am I not accessing the internet with my brother's laptop, but I am also paying for the service too. The last technician I called in 2012 decided to send me a new router. I hoped this would work, but it did not. This router, too, would completely reset itself numerous times before settling down and letting me use the internet.
I gave up after that. But in the spring of 2013, I got really fed up with the service I was receiving and I decided to call Verizon again. Again, Verizon tried to help me fix the laptop with their tools and solution guides. But nothing good came out of it, so I decided to ask for a technician to come to my apartment to fix it. We scheduled a day and I was pretty excited since I was almost positive that the connection for the laptop would be fine by then.
I was wrong. The technician came and only stayed for about 20 minutes. He said it must be the laptop or it must be that the walls are too thick in my apartment. But that can't be it since, in my cousin's house, the router is on the second floor and my brother was using his laptop on the first floor. So it couldn't be the laptop nor the house. So we came to no conclusion. He just attached a mini router to the laptop and hardwired it. I wasn't so content but I was glad my brother could finally use the internet now.
About three months pass by and I decide to get myself a new laptop. I get it and I am hoping the wireless connection works. It did, so I was almost positive that it was my brother's laptop that was the problem, not the wireless signal. I go on vacation for a few days and I connect perfectly fine at my friend's house. When I return home and try to connect to my wireless connection, it didn't work!
At this point, I am extremely frustrated. I decided to call Verizon again to replace my router because it was being extremely annoying. It kept resetting itself and I was tired of it. I replaced the router, and this is the router I currently have, but I STILL have the same problem. It resets itself on its own time and I hate it because I'm always in the middle of something. Wow, just wow. There is nothing they could do to help me fix this. I call up a technician, for the millionth time, and he tells me he can't access my router. This occurred with the previous technician who sent me the new router. He tells me his tools are not working and tells me he'll call me back the next day.
It was the next day and I did not receive any phone call. I am extremely disappointed in Verizon FiOS' service and it's customer service. I leave it alone and I just hardwire my laptop to the router. Of course this works, but what's the point of having a laptop when I have to keep it hardwired on my desk? After a day or two, I decide to check if the wireless connection works, and it did. I was surprised. But every now and then, it would shift on and off. Most of the time, the wireless connection is either EXREMELY SLOW or I get none at all, nonetheless, it still says the connection is Excellent.
Please, if there is anyone who could help or try to help me, I would most appreciate it. If there is more information that you need, ask me and I will try my best to provide it to you.Admittedly, that IS a strange case. I have been trying to use time machine on a new lacie 2tb usb 2 drive for back up. I continue to get: "unable to complete backup.An error occured while creating backup folder". When I use disk utility to repair I get another error message: unable to repair disk unmountable.
Help me Obie One Canobie you are my last hopeI have confused myself with the facts! Started out keeping track of every step and every variable but have sort of lost it as we progress here. First I quit all applications then swapped connections between mouse port and backup disk port to influence possible bad connections question. Changed power outlet receptacle for the backup disk. Disabled the put-the-HD-to-sleep option. Then powered down the computerator.
Next started up computerator. Turned Time Machine ON and experienced multiple successful backups! Then I started up a few applications, Mail and Text Edit (but not Safari so far). Had a few more successes. After each backup, I used Disk Utility to verify the backup disk is still OK. This because the error about unable to unmount the backup disk seems to go hand in hand with Disk Utility finding the backup disk to be bad.
Put computer to sleep for the night. Upon starting up in the morning, and before doing anything else, I did a backup disk verification... BAD! Did a restart and verified the backup disk... OK.
Did a few Sleep-bad, Restart -OK repetitions.
It seems consistent: Sleeping the computer apparently messes up the backup disk but doing a Restart "repairs" it.

Now then, I don't understand everything I know here. Methinks that maybe keeping the HD from sleeping during lulls in activity has allowed successful backups through the day but manually putting everything to sleep for the night causes a return to the problem of spinning-back-up-too-slowly (which was explained earlier). Is there any truth in this?
I may abandon this Seagate thing for something more compatible. What's out there that we know works reliably for us? -

PL/SQL 10g - Cannot Insert Values from PL/SQL

BACKGROUND (if required):
I'm trying to write a message threading algorithm for uni, I believe it works so far, it's just matching the subjects at the moment I want to expand it to include email addresses but that will be at a later date.
A brief run down, at the moment, a user can generate a list of email addresses to filter the corpus with, these are then inserted (via Java) into the table Sender. These addresses are then used in an IF statement, however they are only used if the table sender is populated. The messges that are identified as threads have their Message ID inserted into another table but they also have their values printed to the DBMS output.
QUESTION:
What I need help with is although the values print out to the DBMS Output after a great deal of time, normally after the DBMS buffer has maxed out (thus the statement ends in error). The values printed are not inserted into the table.
Any help on solving this or optimising if would be greatly appreciated, I'm new to PL/SQL i'm afraid so it's probably a really messy statement.
If this is a badly worded question and I need to supply more information then I gladly will, however i'm not 100% on what information is relevant at the moment.

I have a table of emails that I am attempting to thread by means of comparing the subjects together (for now). However ultimately I want to be able to bring in the recipients as well. However this can be ignored for now.
The main variables from the Messages table are:
MID(number) - 0 - 245000
SENDER(VARCHAR) - Email Address
SUBJECT_CLN6 - VARCAHR - Cleaned email subject.
I am creating two instancs of a cursor that contains the subjects and MID's from Messages. I am then looping through cur1 comparing the value against all values in cur2, this continues until all values in cur1 have been compared against cur2. I use the MID to ensure that I am not comparing the same Message. Furthermore I am also filtering the Emails by Sender (if the table has been populated by the user, via a java applet, otherwise if just uses the subject). The variable Send_User_Cur takes takes its values from the Table called Sender, whilst sub_one_sender takes its values from the column Sender in Messages.
The proposed output of this at the moment is to just have the MID's (and later all the relevant columns, however just for now MID) of all the threaded emails, inserted into the table MATCH_THREAD, such that they can be called upon later for further processing and most likely called from a java applet at some point as well.

Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition vs. Picasa?
Hi everyone..
I have just installed Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 and I'm wondering about a few things. Bear with me here...
1. I use Piccasa strictly as a picture-viewer program. I'm not 100% happy with it, could anybody pursuade me and my curious friend, why I should switch to Album Starter? I would like that.
2. What I DO like about Piccasa is that it just view my pictures and do not copy them into a special piccasa-format. I have several file-formats in my picture-folder and I would like Album Starter to view all of them without changing the original location of the file, nor copy it, taking up a lot of disk-space.
3. Another thing I like about Picasa is that if I have changed, added or removed a picture in the original file-location it updates those changes when I launch the program.
4. I understand that there are several ways to view your photos. But can you also view and navigate your pictures through folders while you are in Album Starter? Because thats one thing I hate about Picasa, it just place all my folders on the side of the page, meaning it takes them out of their original folder and destroys the dept-folder-system I have made.
5. Does Album Starter have a nice search function?
If anyone could take the time to answer these very bad formulated questions, I would be very grateful.

2) With PSA SE you keep your image files anywhere you want.
3) PSA SE has limitations in this area. You are encouraged to move files about from within the program.
4) I'm not sure that you'd prefer PSA SE in this respect. You are really encouraged not to think in terms of folders, as that is not a way to organize a large collection of images [say much more than 100].
5) It has various ways to search - what are you after? Using tagging intelligently means you very rarely need to search. [I have use this technology for 3 years and only used Search a handful of time.]
