Hi all
I have enhanced the PA0006 with email address field
and now need to update this email address to su01, when ever user changes his work email address in transaction PA30 infotype 0006 it should get saved in PA0006 and then check with the email address in SU01 transaction if there is any difference ...update the new email address to SU01 email address field

You can use the AFTER_INPUT or IN_UPDATE methods in the BAdI HRPAD00INFTY .
Just curious about the reason for not using Infotype 0105 to meet your requirement..

You can't do it on the iPad you would need to do it on your computer and the folder will be seen by your account on the iPad and iPhone only if they are IMAP and Exchange accounts. POP accounts are not supported for folders.

BADI for saving a complaint

Hi all,
I have a requirement as follows:
There is a complaint ticket when the status is set to "Compensate by money " or " Compensate by product" and SAVED then the mail should be sent to the respective sales office unit head mentioning the status of ticket. For rest all status the mails should not be generated.
How do i go about it.
Should i go for classic BADI or Enhancement Spot in this scenario.
Please suggest .

Hi Navin,
I suggest you to use actions in order to send email when the complaint is saved, according to the status.
When using actions, you gain some advantages compared with BADI:
- The action is triggered in a new work process, it means that your complaint save event dont have to wait to execute your abap code;
- The SAP CRM has a standard action monitor, if something goes wrong, the user will be able to check;
- You can deactivate the email sending without ABAP effort;

User exit or badi for saving the data in mm01

Hi All,
I added one custom screen in mm01 using SPRO ,as well as i added 2 new fields in makt table using Append statement, now the problem is am not able to save the custom screen data in standard makt table can any one help me in this ,tell me which Badi or Exit is useful for this requirement.

You don't need them. See Note 44410 - Integrating cust.-specific fields in matl master for further information, and copy the code for PAI event in your custom dynpro. You need something similar to this:

Prefs for saving email.addresses,bookmarks B4 i install tiger

i am go to try to install tiger again.
i will erase the drive
what & where are the files in panther ( prefs ) for email, addresses ( that allow me to type one letter and then the entire name of person whose email i have is completed)
and also bookmarks ( allowing me to type one letter and the rest of the URL appears )
all my email i wish to save

Make a backup/copy of:
- Home/Library/Mail folder for Mail
- Home/Library/Application Support/Address Book for Address Book
- Home/Library/Safari/Bookmarks.plist for Safari bookmarks
Home is your /Users/your_username folder.
The auto-complete feature when addressing new mail comes from Previous Recipients in Mail. I don't have my Mac with me at the moment to see if that is stored anywhere accessible.

IMAP has a problem in mails

If it's an IMAP account, it should stay on the server anyway, unless you've set up a rool to move an email to a folder "on my mac". However, you can set up rules so that it stay's on the server as well. Just hit the plus button in the rules section.

Saved emails have been deleted

I have a file for saved emails which I made when I subscribed to Verizon internet in 6/11. Just tried to retrieve several and they are gone. Can I get them back and how?

If the emails are not appearing on the website, there is no retrieval for them. To backup your emails to a file, that would require downloading them off the Verizon website to an email client and exporting them to the appropriate .PST file. That file can then be moved, saved, or copied to any removable medium of your choice.

It stays that way until it is turned off for more than a minute. If I do a restart, it holds the setting, but loses it when it is shut down for any period of time. Does anyone else have this issue? The setting holds for photos taken with camera storing to SD card. Only the email attachment setting does not hold.

I believe that system has a hall sensor on it to detect when the lid is closed so it can put the system to sleep and/or disable the monitor so it can be used with an external monitor only. If the sensor is marginal or has a bad cable, it may intermittently cut the monitor on and off, and may likewise put the system to sleep. One way to check would be to plug in an external monitor and if the laptop's screen cuts off or doesn't show up, start using the trackpad and press on a non-typing key like the shift key. If the external display suddenly pops and becomes active while the laptop display remains black, it's probably a problem with the sensor or the cable/connection. You might be able to fool the sensor into kicking on and off by moving a magnet over it. It's located on the left had side of the base with the unit opened up, and right over the audio output plug.
I know of some people that put a small magnet right over the hall sensor's location so the laptop display turns off and they use the system with an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse. If fooling with magnets, make sure they're small and don't get them close to the hard drive because a strong magnet can wipe them out.
I don't know if this will help you much, but it might.

Usre exit or badi for su01 save?

hi experts,
i want to trigger idoc when a new user is created in su01.i didnot get any BADI for this, so tried with user exit SUSR0001(suggested in sdn).....but there is no internal table or structure which stores the entered data during creation of user.
what else i can do?

SUSR0001 is a user exit that triggers after every user logon and has nothing to do with user creation/save.
I checked by putting a break point in CL_EXITHANDLER and found that BADI ADDRESS_UPDATE is called during saving of SU01 newly created user.This is a general multiple use BADI that is called during any address saving and should be used carefully, so that your code triggers only for SU01 save. Also you may not get all data that you want and may probably need to use call stack technique.

User Exit OR Badi for MK01 transaction (used for saving vendor amster data)

I have a requirement where I have to call my workflow, when we create the Vendor using my custom transaction (ZMK01, which is a copy of standard transaction MK01).
For Workflow triggering I am using FM 'SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT' in the user exit 'EXIT_SAPMF02K_001' but this is only for checking the data on saving Vendor Master.
So I want to use FM 'SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT' at right place. For that , I need User-Exit or BADI which is used for saving vendor master data.
Could anyone please help me to find out the user exit or BADI for save event of vendor master data using transaction MK01.

My few updates on the issue!!!
There is one function module "COM_PARTNER_GET_ADDR_SEL_OW
" which returns address from buffer memory
I have implemented Z BADI for BUPA_ADDR_UPDATE. Whenever address changes, this badi will be triggered.But the above mentioned function module is not returning the address from buffer memory.

Implement the method 'CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE' of BADI 'ORDER_SAVE'.
Transaciton: SE18, enter ORDER_SAVE in the BADI text box and in the menu choose 'Enhancement implementation' and select overview. You will get a pop up and at the bottom you will get a create button. Go ahead.

Is it bad for the computer to save thousands of emails?

Hi,
I have been told that it is bad for the computer to save thousands of emails... unless I somehow turn them into documents.
Is this true? And if so, how would you go about doing this? I find it very useful to go back and look through emails for certain things...

Hi there,
It is my understanding that problems may arise if you store a large amount of e-mail messages in the Inbox (and maybe also in the Sent box). I like to keep a large amount of e-mail also and what's been recommended is to create new mailboxes and drag the messages you wish to store into these. You may name them with descriptive names that will help you with categorization. To create the boxes, go down to that little "+" sign at the bottom lefthand corner of the Mail window. There is supposedly some max size your Inbox needs to stay beneath for Mail to function correctly, but you can let the size of these extra boxes get very large without problem.
There are also ways to archive e-mail completely outside of Mail, but I've never done this myself. A search of discussions will probably yield more information on that technique. But a good thing to do right now is to create additional mailboxes as I've outlined above.

AOL Desktop (PC) to AOL Desktop for Mac - Transferring Saved Emails

I just installed AOL Desktop for Mac and I'm trying to transfer my emails. There's no issue setting up the accounts and accessing my emails Saved on AOL, but I cannot access my emails Saved on my PC. The software doesn't have any feature to transfer these locally saved emails from PC to MAC.
The suggested solution is to forward all my saved emails to myself and save them on AOL. Then they'd be accessible on the mac. But I have thousands of emails so this isn't feasible.
Does anyone know how I might go about transfering my saved emails from AOL Desktop to AOL Desktop for Mac?

I too had the same problem. Here is the solution.
Go to System Preferences and select General.
Near the bottom of the window, deselect (uncheck) "Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps."
Launch AOL Desktop, you'll still see the untitled windows. No problem. Now quit AOL and relaunch. No more untitled windows.
