Mapping of CRM Billing Document to GTS within Service Parts Management

Hello,
We are currently implementing Service Parts Management with GTS.
We would like to map certain fields coming from CRM Billing to the GTS Customs Document.
Does anyone know which BADI/user exit can be used to complete this mapping.
We have seen that to be able to transfer billing documents to GTS we need to activate Service Parts Management.
Further, how can we get the values for these fields into the customs documents , once these are mapped.
Which BADI, structures, tables are used for this?
Does anyone have a sort of data structuring model for the different fields in the customs document , on header and item level.
How fields are triggered. This could be very useful to have this kind of documentation for doing enhancements etc...
Now we are struggling with structures.

The key tables for the customs document are:
/SAPSLL/CUHD (header)
/SAPSLL/CUIT (item)
/SAPSLL/CORPAR (partners)
You can find additional tables in SE16 by search for table names that start with /SAPSLL/CU* or /SAPSLL/COR*
Unfortunately, I am not sure about the BAdi for document transfer from CRM but the available BAdi's should be listed in the IMG in CRM similar to ECC.

When I compare 2 documents Acrobat 9 crashes

When I compare 2 documents the progress bar will come up and will not disappear. Eventually the following error will appear
Acrobat.exe - application error
The instruction at "0x0000195a" referenced memory at "0x0000195a". The memory could not be "written".
The above error also comes up if I click on the Progress bar for Document Compare.
Acrobat then crashes. We are running Acrobat Pro 9.5, and have this happening on multiple machines

Hi, I have had a similar problem in Acrobat 10.1.9.22 for *specific files*, and talking to the Adobe tech support, they were also able to reproduce the crash with Acrobat 11 with these files, so it sounds like this bug is definitively not fixed yet.
The bug:
- When comparing 2 documents (View | Compare documents...), after some progress, Acrobat crashes (on my Windows 7 machine, it says "the application stopped working", the exception reported for me is c0000005 which is according to Google a memory access violation code). This will happen only on some *specific* .pdf documents (though it will be systematic for these). I am able to compare other .pdf documents fine without any issue.
** Current workaround** (thanks to tech support about this): You basically 'clean up' these bad .pdf documents by converting them to postscript and then back to pdf:
Instructions for Acrobat X:
For each document, do:
1) File | Save as | More options | PostScript
2) Then (in Windows at least), right click on the .ps file and choose "Convert to Adobe PDF" to convert it back to .pdf.
Now the convert the two documents should work fine with these 'refreshed' documents (hopefully).

User name field in Document Information Record

Based on our process design, we would like to use the user field to define the owner of the document (owner is the person in the organization, who initiates the creation of the document and owns it throughout the life-cycle of the document). An example would be the development of a new SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
The advantage of this setup would allow us to use standard role 155 for sending workflow notifications back to the owner during the review and approval process of the document.
We would like to deactivate the automatic change of the user field, when a original stored in a secure storage area is checked out in edit mode. In this scenario, the user name that has been entered during the initial creation of the DIR will be changed to the active user (sy-user) that has opened the document for editing.
Has anybody come across this requirement? Is there a BADI for document management that could be activated when the document is checked out in edit mode to deactivate the change of the user field? If not, where would we have to apply a mod. to disable the update of the user field with the active user during editing of the document original.
Also, any other idea to make this work would be welcome.

You would definitely be able to do this, I'm sure you could use the standard BADI on save to default this back to the original value, however, I see some issues with this, namely from a system audit perspective. Personally, I would rather change the original workflow and use a classification field (link it to table USR02 or USR01 to enable username searching) for the author to prevent it being changed.
By changing the value you effectively lose your search functionality in CV04N because if a user is searching for a document he/she just changed, this will not appear for user based searches because he/she is not the user listed in the DIR.

E_BLART Document Type
E_BKTXT Document Header Text
E_XBLNR Reference Document Number
E_BLDAT Document Date in Document
E_REINDAT Invoice Receipt Date
E_XBNK Planned Delivery Costs Indicator
E_XWARE Goods Invoice/Service Indicator
In the BAdI source code you must pass values to these parameters that you want to set.If you have done this and still you are not getting the desired result then can you send the source code.

This may happen when you try to create a purchase requisition but then abandon it half way through before saving. In this scenario, the number range is incremented but the document is not saved. The next time you will see a gap of 1 number.

Is it possible to Recover a document after InDesign crash?

Is it possible to Recover a document after InDesign crash?
I was creating a long document in InDesign and after placing some bad Word
document, Indesign crashed..
The bad thing is that I didn't save file before a crash, and after reopening
file after crash I realized that 60 pages are missing..
Can I recover this information somehow?
Does InDesign makes AutoSave files (and how can I open them?)

Isn't it what it does actually ? When it offers recovery, I guess it opens what it can. The other datas may be missing or truncated.
So basically, I would say that your 60pages datas are lost for ever.
You could try to open the document directly and see if it makes any differencies.
Another way, but never understood how to process on my own, should be to fix the information opening the indd file in a txt editor (like notepad). But I am afraid it's more a fantasy than a real opportunity. Anyway, trying so will be more time consuming than doing the things again.
The more scriptable thing I see right now would be a permanent script that would save a copy every minute for example. But I don't know if it's a real good way of thinking.
Another great script is activated by a shortkey " Ctrl + S" ;-)
This is a script you really learn with experience and that become a reflex. I know it could sound like a mockery, buit it's not.
It's just that sometimes this is the best way to avoid problems.
Anyway, I hope someone gives you a better answer.

Determine type of subsequent document during SC creation?

Hi experts,
I want to implement some checks in SC items with BBP_ITEM_CHECK_BADI. But checks must be different when ordering direct materials to a vendor than when asking for a reservation in backend (stockable materials) against a storage location. The product is the same in both cases but not the way the SC is created (first case normal, second using 'direct material' option).
Do you know a way to determine wheter i'm making a reservation or a PO when creating the SC?
(using SRM server 5.5 as add-on)

Have you checked the BBP_TARGET_OBJECTS / BBP_TARGET_OBJTYPE BADI using SE18 Transaction ? Please read the relevant standard SAP documentation in this case before doing any coding.
You can use either of the BADIs for Document checking
BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI / BBP_ITEM_CHECK_BADI
Document checks can be classified in three categories:
Checks that
1. relate to the document header,
2. relate to a single item and
3. relate to the entire document.
For performance reasons, checks of the second category (item checks) should only be carried out when:
a) a new item is created,
b) an item is changed or
c) the entire document is to be checked for consistency (triggered, for example, by choosing the pushbutton Check).
The BAdI (s. Business Add-In) BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI is suitable for checks of categories 1 and 3. In BAdI BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI all the items exist but you cannot yet recognize which items have been newly created or changed. For this reason, all items must always be checked in this BAdI. For performance reasons, we therefore recommend that you use BAdI BBP_ITEM_CHECK_BADI for checks of category 2 (purely itemchecks).
Using BAdI BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI, you can carry out your own checks for the document data after you have entered the user and before you save the document to the database. You cannot change any data.

How to send form feed to printer ?

Hi All
I'm sending a bad formated document to a printer (working in windows) with my java application and then I'm parsing the document and need to send a formfeed to inform the printer to change page when I found a determinated char in the document.
I know how to do everything except which is the recognized formfeed char in windows...
Any help ?

Merge Fields in Word Templates are still showing after replaceing procedure

Hi all,
we are using CRM 7.0 and we are using the BAdI CRM_OFFICE_TEMPLATE_BADI to replace the Merge Fields which are placed in Word Template!
Normaly it works very fine, but in some cases if there is no value to fill into the merge field, the merge field is shown like it is created in the template.
In most of the other cases the not replaced merge field is not shown in the created document.
Does anybody has got the same issue? If yes, how do you solve it?

Indesign cannot open "old files" CS6.

I was supposed to do a few adjustments in a project, i have opened it before and been working in it alot.. (2 months since last time i was working with this project) When i was supposed to do some minor fixes etc on this project yesterday i cannot open the file. The project it self are only on 8900 kB. What to do???? I can open my recently "newly" made and used projects.... Ive tryed some other projects that was also old, all between 2-6 months.. And it is just randomly witch i can open and witch i "Cannot open"..

If you got some suggestions scream out! Will try it all that have worked before.. (If someone have had this same problem atleast!)

First, a tip: Try manually breaking the links to the file by moving that document you want to open to your desktop or another directory or such and then try opening them... (corrupt image previews and/or images can then be largely elminated as a potential cause)
As @Peter mentioned, we (Markzware - link here to how that works) can likely fix this file. Interesting notes from @jongware above. Without having seen this file, our research shows there are various reasons an InDesign file can head south and corrupt or crash on you. Just like a doctor can not always say what caused the problem, there are some basic steps we all should take. For instance, OS up to date, InDesign using the latest update available, enough disk space and scartch disk space for heavy Adobe design operations. Here is a list of some of the most common issues with bad INDD documents:
* Corrupt Font(s) (or corrupt font caches - see below)
* Corrupt Image(s)
* Power Failure
* Placing images via drag-and-drop from an Internet page
* Working on an InDesign file over a network or on a remote server

For checking individual font files (fonts are like mini apps really), we recommend either FontExplorer XPro or Extensis Suitcase Fusion 4, with the later perhaps the more popular of the two.

Adobe Acrobat is a special PDF viewer which is technically develop for the whole world to read any PDF file which a user wants to read. It's basic languages are:
English (US)
English (UK)
Arabic
Italian
Japanese
Spanish
German
But when you going to export the PDF file the arabic language will not support.

And your message says that your document needs a root element. This seems to mean that the parser is seeing a badly-formed document, but in practice means that the parser couldn't find the document at all.
