Baixa performance do SAP b1

Olá experts,
Tenho o SAP B1 2007B PL 21 instalado e após uma migração de servidor (2x Xeons X5980 + 16GBRAM + Raid5 8 HD's SAS) as estações começaram a demorar de 5 a 7 minutos para logar no SAP e em torno de 10 minutos para trocar de base.
Temos em torno de 40 estações de trabalho e destas 40 estações de trabalho, 2 estações estão fazendo o mesmo procedimento que dura 5 minutos em 7 segundos. Para trocar de base, a mesma demora em média 12 segundos (o mesmo tempo que o servidor faz esse login).
Para efeito de testes, peguei a maquina de 1 dos usuários, formatei e fiz a reinstalação do windows 7 X86 e do Client do SAP (executei no modo de administrador). A mesma continuou com o mesmo tempo de acesso. Coloquei este PC no mesmo ponto de rede do PC rápido e o SAP continuou lento. Também dei acesso de Super User para este usuário, não solucionando o problema novamente.

Os problemas que tive foram resolvidos com base na seguinte documentação:
1135705 - SAP Business One takes too long to log on users
Symptom
SAP Business One client (not installed on the same machine as the license service) might take several minutes to log you on successfully due to a delay in establishing a connection with the license server.
After logon, SAP Business One functions as expected.
This is due to the fact that the server or PC on which the license server is installed has more than one network card, or there is a dial-up & VPN interface-configured server.
Note: This can happen when you install the license service on a machine with more than one network card ALREADY installed.
Installing additional network cards on a single network card machine with a license service already installed might not produce this issue.
Cause
Application error.
Solution
This issue is a candidate to be resolved in a future release.
Until then, you can use one of the following workarounds:
1. Disable additional network cards in the Network Connections. Also make sure there is no
dialup interface or VPN interface set up, and restart the server. Note that you can re-enable
the additional network card after the restart. This will resolve the issue until the next restart.
2. Install the license server on a machine with a single network card.
3. Disable all network cards, restart the license server and then enable the network cards
again.

Nav Attribute:-
The dataflow performance/space is affected in the infoobject load, since the sid tables is growing with navigational attributes
The dataflow performance/space is not affected in transactional data (except for the aggregates).
So every navigationa attribute in an infoobject can be added to the infocubes without any cost.
The performance in query is affected, but the solution is simple: do not use!

1) Create business service (Communication component) for the receiver.
2) create a HTTP receiver adapter.
3) Import the business system for your sap system
4) Create a recdeiver determination
5) Create a interface determination, and give your mapping name
6) Create a receiver agreement using the http communication channel you have created

The PERFORM in your program should have the following syntax:
FORM POP_ADD TABLES IN_TAB STRUCTURE ITCSY
                    OUT_TAB STRUCTURE ITCSY.
READ TABLE in_tab WITH KEY 'V_PARVW'.
CHECK sy-subrc EQ 0.
ENDFORM.

Performance of sap query

I have one SAP query which collects data from VBRK, VBUK, VBPA,, VBRP, VBFA and KONV tables.
Some times it is taking a lot of time.
How can I improve the performance of this query.

You can get by using the JOIN's in the query, please take care of these
1, promary index and secondary index.
2, don't join all the table, split them into different queries..bu using FOR ALL ENTRIES
3. give where conditions as many as possible..
4. Sort the result finally..

in this form there are many questions about your programs, selects function modules but what about the SAP standard programs, they are not always the best performing things on your system. What do you think about a thread with improvements of SAP standard programs?
Ok, that should be the job of SAP, but sometimes everybody needs a little kick.
So this thread should collect suggestions of improvements of SAP coding. These suggestions should be very precise, so SAP should implement them easily. I'm pretty sure, everybody will find some not optimized code during debugging, learning, ... .
So , lets start with an example
Function module CO_SF_HEADER_GOODS_ISSUE
SELECT SINGLE * FROM caufv WHERE aufnr EQ aufnr.
There is no need for select *, because only the fields
autyp
loekz
objnr
gamng
gmein
rsnum
are needed during the FM.
so lets improve the code
select single aufnr loekz autyp gamng gmein rsnum

                  wa_caufv-loekz,
                  wa_caufv-autyp,
                  gamng, gmein, rsnum)
With this code we can also kill three moves in the last lines.
MOVE: caufv-gamng TO gamng,
      caufv-gmein TO gmein,
      caufv-rsnum TO rsnum.
That was easy, on my testsystem it is 38% less database-time for the select and a little for the three moves.

Not sure I'm on board, I doubt SAP will take suggestions for modifying their code via a forum post, I think it is best to go thru OSS.
Anyway, a little story for ya. We had a program which was sort of like CO41(collective planned order conversion), but was custom because we needed to include characterisics, so we have this program that gets all of the planned orders and then does CO40 transaction over each one. This worked in the begining, but after some time the runtime was extremely bad, like hours long. So I did some investigation and found the exact SELECT statement deep inside of CO40, and found that the WHERE clause was not written in such a way that was good for my company. I contacted OSS, and pointed them to the exact place in the code that was giving us a problem. I told them that the one line in the WHERE clause needed to b commented out, then the performance would be much better. They came back after a number of days, and said, the SELECT statement was written in such a way that it works for all business processes. At my company, our business process dictated that the one line in the WHERE clause was not necessary and even hurting our performance. Anyway, they said they would not issue a change for us and that we either had to hack it ourselves or totally redo the way our task list groups where set up. The problem was is that we had a couple task list groups, with thousands and thousands of materials assign to it. This was the problem. So I hacked the standard program, and it actually shaved of 3 hours of processing time.

Performance - Integration SAP BW - Business Objects XI 3.1

Hi to all,
I have some performance problems when I create a report with almost 210K rows at 10 minutes.
I don't understand what solutions I have to set in my bex query in order to make it more slow. I suspect in fact that a lot of time is spend when the system read the master data (in my bo query I include some attribute of the characteristics).
I add that I read the data from an ODS and I don't have restriction into the key figure level or structures.
All characteristics are selected as free characteristics and all key figures are selected in the columns.
How can I test the improvement and different setting in order to accelarate my query ?

could you provide more details to the following questions:
- which products from SAP BusinessObjects are you using ?
- which release of those products - including service packs - are you using ?
- what performance do you see when you execute the query in transaction RSRT ?
When you execute the query in transaction RSRT remember that all elements from your BusinessObjects report need to be in the rows to achieve a comparable result.

the first thing is do some profiling on your application to see which mathod takes the longest time. Also trace the Report DB server to see if it takes longer in the DB server. Based on which server you use to render the report: RAS, PS - for crystal reports or webi processing server for webi reports, you can trace the specific server by adding -trace to check timestamp on varioud requests. Also check if you get similar behavior from .NET InfoView. Check if there are any network related issues such as proxy, firewall or DMZ.

Will Antivirus bring down the performance of SAP System

I have installed SAP Netweaver in my PC.
During my installation of SAP Netweaver, it insisted to disable the McAfee Antivirus running in my machine to continue.
Also I observed running the SAP Netweaver installation with McAfee Antvirus slowing down the performance.
Hence,
1.Can anyone suggest is it advisable to run Antivirus in the machine that contains SAP softwares?
2.Will there be any impact in performance due to Antivirus running in SAP software machine etc.
3.If Antivirus can run on the SAP software machine, Do we need to include any parameters to not to SCAN SAP supporting software files?
4.Is there any specific antivirus can be used in a SAP Software machine?

Yes, There is impact running antivirus. By default antivirus will scan all the folders and files.

Yes, There is way to exclude the scanning of the folders where SAP software is installed.
Names of the folders need to excluded in windows operating system are
1. USR folder
2. Excluding Data base files are not recommeded, but if necessary you can exclude.

Steps given below to exclude the SAP folders in McAfee antivirus Ver 8.0.0 and above. May be applicable for older version of McAfee, if the interface is same as
McAfee antivirus Ver 8.0.0.
Open McAfee antivirus console and make sure Console is Unlocked for editing.
To unlock the console
Go to Tools-->Unlock User Interface. Provide the relevant password to unlock.
Please check with system administrator if necessary.
To add Entries to exclude:
Select Task>On Access Scan Properties>Default Process
Select Detection Tab-->Exclusions -->What to exclude
Click Browse--> Select the SAP folder which needs to be excluded.
Repeat the same steps to exclude other SAP folders if necessary.
Note: Make sure to tick "Also exclude subfolders" in the same window.
4.Is there any specific antivirus can be used in a SAP Software machine?

Webi query performance in SAP BO 4.0 sp6

Hello,
I'm facing an issue with the webi reports in our BI 4 SP6 environment. The webi reports data fetch time is ridiculously slow, where as when these queries are run on Oracle 10g the results are returned much faster as compared to WebI. The same reports used to fetch data faster few months ago when we were on SP4.
Now my question is what can I do to improve the query data fetch time in webi? Is there some parameter that I can tweak in BO or do I need to add more services? Please suggest. thanks
Following are the specs of the QA environment:
We are using a clustered environment with 2 nodes (CUSNWA3T and CUSNWA3U) - these are the names of the nodes. Each node has 12 GB of RAM and each node is a VMware virtual machine running on windows server 2008. Each of these BO servers/nodes is having its own CMS server, I have broken down the APS into sub servers after facing issues with the DSL Bridge service.

thats for reply. Yep I agree with your suggestion about the RAM is there any document that details out how much RAM and processing power is required by SAP BO 4.x?
I had to turn down the explorer, crystal reports, AJS, Dashboard Services just to provide for the APS. I did break down the APS as well according to a document that I found on SAP site.
Here is what worked for me: we use DW relational connections for the universes, all our universes are UNX universes. In the connection there are options for: Array bind size, Array Fetch size and pooling timeout. I increased all those, array bind size to 250; Array fetch size to 32670 and pooling timeout to 20 mins and the dba set the ConnectInit to set star schema transformation. Once all these were enabled the report which was loading in 20 mins started refreshing in 6 mins.
For now things seem to be working fine but I will certainly raise the RAM request to the management but it would help if you could provide with some reference document. Thanks

I logged in as Director I am able to set the Quotat for Sub Org Unit but not to Director.Can Director set the Quotat for himself?
2.Charts: I looged in as Sales rep and I can see the target set in yellow color but can not sse the opprtunities created by sales rep that is I can not see any green or blue color but I can see the opportunities inthe result list below but I can not see them on the chart? what might be the issue?
