Hi,
Balance interest calculation is we calculate interest on G/L a/c balance, for example some time we take loan from Bank and we have to calculate interest on that loan amount and have to pay banks.
Line item interest calculation is, we calculate interest on the Customer line item. When customer doesnt pay in time we calculate interest on his line item which is over due.

Hello Meghna you can calculate the the interest by two ways
On balance and on Per item wise
You can calculate interest on the balance of those of your G/L accounts which are managed with open item display by using the balance interest calculation function in the FI system. This function can be used, for example, to double-check the interest calculated on your accounts by the bank.
You can also use balance interest calculation in accounts receivable and accounts payable. In these areas it is used, for example, to calculate interest on the staff loan accounts managed in accounts receivable and payable.
Decides whether the interest indicator participates in the calculation of interest on arrears (per item)

Interest calculation on Open items and cleared items

Dear Experts
I am trying to do needful configuration for interest indicator on which interest can be calculated for open items and cleared items as well. But, system is calculating interest for open items properly, but not calculating interest on cleared items with same interest indicator, I am repeatedly getting error "interest calculation indicator is not compatible with this type of interest calculation"
Is it possible to use same interest indicator for open line items and cleared line items of customer?
If possible, request you share the needful config steps to do same.

Hello Habib,
depending on the requests you can setup a item interest calculation or a balance interest calculation "Define calculation types".
IIC: check settings (item selection, all cleared items, only items with payment, no cleared items) "Prepare item interest calculation"
I guess you have setup the item interest calculation - maybe you have mixed some entries with BAIC.
Check in "Prepare account balance interest calculation" whether you have entries with the indicator you want to use.
At least check your entries in "Define time-based Terms" If you have entries with Balance account interest calculation the system gives even an error.

Balance not matching as per FBL5n and FS10N

When we run the customer balance report FBL5n as on 09/29/2007 on week end it shown a balance ( open item for all customer and recon account 123456 ) of say 10 M. The same amount we got thru FS10N we ran on with GL 123456 i.e. 10M. But when we ran the report FBL5n today ( with same parameter 9/29/07 and recon account 123456, open items ) we are getting a balance of 13M but our GL balance is still 10M on 9/29/07. Here is my question why the balance has changed for FBL5N when I am running the report on past date ? I feel it should not. But say there is difference in these two reports, how to reconcile ?
My problem is I took the balance from FS10N and now I want details of that balance ( customer wise balance ) as on 9/29 . This should match and I need it for auditor .Kindly help me gurus.

The possible diffrence between FBL5N reports run on first time and second time might be.
There may be invoices posted to that Customer Accounts with past Posting Date after you took first Report.
To find out which invoice are posted after you run the report , run FBL5N again with the same parameters and select Entry Date column from the layout and sort it out. If you find some invoices where the Entry Date is past the Date you ran the first Report then these are the invoices which are contributing the diffrences.
Generally this will happen when Sales/Billing documents are released later to Accounting.

Balances not match with FMEM report and FS10N GL wise

We have developed in report in funds management, it has to be executed based on commitment item and fund center not GL account wise. The report will have two rows actual budget and pan budget. The actual budget should match with GL account balance; it is matching for all GL account except 3 GL accounts. These 3 GL accounts balance is showing more than report balance for three periods (April, May and June).
Can I know in which I should check. Because I have tried with possibilities I couldnt get

In the report you have to G/L accounts where you can select on:
The reconsilation account form the Vendor
The G/L account where to posting is created on.
It is possible that there are differences when you have change the reconsilation account form the Vendor.
The old posting are on the old and new on the nwe account. Perhaps you mis some Special G/L Indicators
It is possible that values are changed when you run the reports

You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.

Interest calculation on due date and not on invoice

Pls can some one let me how to start interest calculation on due date and not invoice date.
In the interest calculation, T code FINT, the system calculates interest from invoice date till clearing date and not from due date till clearing date.

We have selected the Always calculate interest from net due date check box. but now when i run FINT transaction for a customer it is calculation interest from invoice date and not on due date. the item is already cleared.
The scenarion is
the net due date of the docuemnt is 30.07.2008 so the interest calculation should stard from 31.07.2008 till clearing date. but the interest calcualtion is starting from 01..07.2008 which is the invocie date.

Interesting Stuff about Heat, Whining, and CPU

This whining noise with my new macbook pro has had me (and many others) stumped. I still havent found a solution, but I've gathered some interesting data with a great program found here: http://www.bresink.de/osx/TemperatureMonitor.html.
First, for those more worried about the heat, new MacBook Pros do not seem to have a heat problem (at least mine doesn't). Mine runs cooler on my lap than on my desk for some weird reason though. About 50 C on the desk and 40 or so on my lap. (I had posted in another topic that the laptop felt hotter on my lap, but after letting the unit sleep for awhile, then running it on my desk and then on my lap, Bresink's temperature monitor confirms the temperatures, which could be due to the vent design or my owning a crappy desk lol.)
Second, the System Information window shows my MacBook Pro as being manufactured on 4/14/06, so new revisions obviously did not fix the whining issue.
Third, the System Information window reports that the CPU does NOT have variable speed (***?) and shows it to be running at 1.83 ghz all the time regardless of power management settings or AC/battery power. Anyone else find this strange? Both the nominal CPU clock and the actual CPU clock are always at 1.83 ghz according to this program.

Another interesting information about the whine and why it, for some of the users who have a whining MBP, didn't occur on WinXP SP2:

After applying this fix, which fix a power drain due to bad power management in WinXP SP2, a user reported on onmac.net forum ( http://forum.onmac.net/showthread.php?t=1214 ) that his MacBook Pro started to whine on WinXP.
This confirm what said the former intel engineer who posted on this forum at the beginning of the talks about this issue. This fix will also likely make other notebook PCs whine.
So apparently MacOS X do manage the power correctly, and the fact that the whine didn't appear on WinXP SP2 was because of not using the CPU power states in which the whine appear (C4 power state for example). So the fact of no whine under WinXP SP2 on MacBook Pro was because of a bug in WinXP SP2 CPU power management states.
So apparently the former intel guy who posted here was right and so if we assume that all what he said was right, then he also said that there is not hardware way to be sure that all computer produced are whine free (because of the nature of the components used), but that, by using component of better quality, it can be reduced for the units which are unluckily not whine free.
Considering that thing, it's unlikly that a software update can remove the whine issue without reducing the battery life, and as latest user report seems to indicate that the recents series of MBP have a quieter whine, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PEOPLE WHO DO HAVE A LOUD WHINING MBP TO SEND IT TO APPLE, IN ORDER TO GET THE LOGIC BOARD REPLACED BY A RECENT ONE!

Hello. This is a very interesting problem for all programmers and students. I have my spalsh screen class which displays a splash when run from the main method in the same class. However when run from another class( in my case from my login class, when user name and password is validated) I create an instance of the class and show it. But the image in the splash is not shown. Only a squared white background is visible!!!.

Use tcode XK99 for vendor mass change, select the Fax no field. You have to take note that this changes will be only 1 fax number for all vendors.
Else you have to use BAPI for mass change.

What's the difference and purpose of Keywording and metadata such as title and caption, crator, sublocation , label etc? Where & how is the information used? Where does it appear?

Keywording is primarily for your own use for finding photos fast.
Title, Caption, etc are also for your own use but can be used by your clients or your stock company if you do not <Minimize Embedded Metadata> on export. Keywords are also included on export but are hardly of any use to others - unless you follow a standard for keywording.
You have the option of selecting title, caption, etc to appear in a Slide Show, on Print, or on a webpage created with LR.
If you go to the LR Help menu and type "title", or "caption" in the search box you will find plenty of advice for this.

Hi,
First of all AFKO is table for Production Order Master Data. So it covers all data related BOM , Routing etc. So In order to distinguish material field related to BOM & Routing these two different fields are there in AFKO table.
PLNBEZ is the field for material assigned to routing operation
STLBEZ is the field for material which is part of BOM
Hope this clears your doubt.

X1 Carbon model numbers 34442HU and 3444AZU - what's the difference?

I'm ready to buy a new X1 Carbon (non-touch version) but I found two model codes for the same price and would like to know if there's any difference between them.
They're model numbers 3444-2HU and 3444-AZU.
I checked Lenovo's Maintenance Manual for this model and they do explain the differences between Dynamic Configure To Order (CTO), Custom Model Variant (CMV) and General Announce Variant (GAV) model numbers, but there's no clue as to what the actual differences might be.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I'm anxious to order my new laptop!

Either will work fine in Central Asia as loge ad the carries support GSM (almost all do).
One of the iPads will only work with the AT&T GSM) network if you are in the USA and the Other with the Virizon network (uses CDMA, not GSM/SIM) if you are in the USA
