Balancing the G/L accounts to the Asset Module

Hi All,
Every month after depreciation is posted I run 2 reports that compare the G/L accounts for depreciation expense to the asset module to make sure they balance.
At the end of December 2009, this report is out of balance $687K for cc:xxxx. Could you please help.
The report for the G/L is run using GL Account Balances - fiscal year 2009, reporting period 12
The report for the Asset Module is run using the Asset History Sheet (S_ALR_87011990) - Report date: 12/31/2009
Below is the result of the above reports.

Can you please give me an idea where to look for this out of balance? I know ABST2 is an option, but when I run this now, it comes up zero. I don't know how to run this for a prior year.

Hi Vinay,
If I understood correctly you are trying to balance Accumulated Depreciation accounts (from the AA module) with the Cost Depreciation Accounts.
If they don`t balance zero, it mostly likely means, that some user has posted manually deprecian in your GL, not using the depreciation program.

I am not sure of the exact question. But this is broadly how the P&L accounts work.
You create the P&L accounts in the chart of accounts and then extend them to the company codes where they are required.
Individual balances of the P&L accounts can be viewed in transaction FS10N. There are other reports where you can see these balances, like S_ALR_87012277.
These balances are visible for postings made during the year.
Then for creation of legal balance sheet and P&L, you need to define a retained earnings account. This is the account, where when you execute the balance carry forward, the balances of all the P&L accounts are moved to the retained earnings account. So the opening balance of P&L accounts is always zero. You can view the financial statements using transaction code: S_ALR_87012284 (Report: RFBILA00)

How to maintain the chart of accounts with the GL account number

Hi to the entire group,
can some let me know the process to maintain the chart of account with the GL account number.i am facing a problem when executing the interface in the batch job - it displays the message -- G/L account 2160371820 is not defined in chart of accounts XXXX.
The GL account exists in the FS00 (both at chart of accounts & company code level) but when we use the report S_ALR_87012326, the GL account does not appear in the report.
Kindly help me out.

Using Windows, can you have an ipod touch and an ipad on the same itunes account with the same apple ID?

I currently have an ipod touch 4th gen. I will be getting a new ipad in a few weeks. My itunes account is on a Windows computer. Will I be able to have the ipad under the same itunes account with the same apple ID as my ipod touch so I can have all of my music from my ipod touch and other info on both deveices, without using icloud or imatch etc. Thanks!

We have posted MIGO with excise, document number is genrated, in the document the VAT gl account in the assignment the po number is updated.
While doing the MIRO with excise taxcode, with same VAT GL account the assignemnt filed is blank.
why system is not updating assigment
If you noticed above screen shot the GL a/c 4631040 in the assignment field updated the purchase order number however while doing t.code MIRO with same GL account assignment filed is blank.

Hi Gemini,
Sort key does no magic, it populates value from the original field from the same line item only.
Taking this as an example...First check that PO field is populated in the Vendor Line item then only sort key will be able to populate the field else it will be blank.
I don't think system populated PO field in the vendor line item.
If you want to meet your requirement and contact your ABAPer and write a Substitution User-exit to populate PO Number into assignment field.

You would have downloaded those apps with the wrong Apple ID then created a new Apple ID which is the on you are on now. This is acting as normal because all content downloaded from the iTunes and App Store is attached to the Apple ID it was downloaded with. To stop this you would delete the apps and redownload them with your current Apple ID you are signed in with.

The last Aplication I downloaded was Yahoo Finance (a new version) with Yahoo.es .....after a couple days it is asking me to change my E-mails to yahoo.es...and will permit me to upload me e-mails to the I-Phone.... I do not know if this helps..

I really doubt it if this is a security issue with iPhone, more like you may have answered one to many questions during an apps setup. Or just a coincidence. Most of the time, it has something to do with some site you were on or with a laptop or desktop web page, but not the iPhone.

Does the EBCC takes the timestamp of the files into account when the synchronisation occurs?

We are running WL Portal 7.0 sp2.
I had to re-deploy an older version of our portal application.
I put back the old portal webapp and ran the EBCC to synchronize the approprate
portalApp-project.
In the EBCC I specified "Update all the files in the project." but after the deployment
I received several stacktraces concerning webflows that couldn't be found.
Does the EBCC takes the timestamp of the files into account when the synchronisation

I think the best method is file dependence , not package dependence.....
Software is arranged by package. but its dependence is file. When Install a package, pacman check its file dependence, and install the packages which include those files....
If a not explicit installed package 's file does not required by any other packages , it can be removed automatically !
In this situation ,pacman can find packages that not needed after compilation, and remove them.

RFFOIT_FOR: What should I do to obtain the bank number account in the DME?

when the italian Company orders, via DME file, a money transfer for a vendor which isn't European, the file DME, in the record PH, position 61-94, shouldn't contain the iban code of the vendor, but his bank number account.
Instead, the program RFFOIT_FOR tries to fill in the DME file the Iban code which doesn't exsiste in the master data of the foreign vendor...
What should I do to obtain the bank number account in the DME file position 61-94?

Try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your device.
Note you may have to re-enter stored Wi-Fi passwords after using this feature.

Can I enable the root user account from the log in screen when I am locked out of the machine?

Hello everyone,
I am working on my friends mac to get it ready to sell. I went into the advanced options of the user and changed the name of the account. That's all I changed. I did read the warning that said if anything was changed it could cause damage, that's why I only changed the name of the user account. I didn't want to mess with anything else. Well, needless to say, I am locked out of the machine. Apparently the root user, system administrator, account was not enabled and I am stuck at the screen that I can get to with my installation disc. So how can I enable the root user account and get back onto the machine from the screen I am at? Can I enable the root user from terminal? I spent a good 8 hours yesterday researching this topic and have come up empty. Changing passwords from commands in terminal is not the problem. I am given just one account to choose from to log on and it's not accepting the password because of the changes I made in the advanced options menu.
Is there any hope of getting this thing going again? Or have I just screwed myself over?

Can I have two iPhones on the same iTunes account under the new apple terms?

I have two iPhones (4 & 3GS). Is it possible to have them using the one iTunes account or do they have to have separate accounts? I had heard that there may be a change in the apple terms so that you cannot do this, but not sure if it's true?

I literally cannot find any legitimate way to sign out of the initial iCloud account without entering a password (which neither I nor my parents know). Can you change the "System Installation Account" from the Site Server Computer Account to a Service Account after the DP is configured?

When the distribution points were configured, we used the Site Server Computer Account.
Now we would like to change to a service account and remove the site server computer account from the local administrators group (and add the the service account).
Can someone provide some guidance on if this is possible, and what steps should be taken to accomplish?

Sure, just modify the properties of the "Site System" role in the console (in the Administration workspace under Site Configuration -> Server and Site System Roles).
Why would you do this though? It's less secure and adds an administrative burden.

Does changing the iTunes Country account affect the iPhone?

Hi all
I bought an iPhone in the UK and am moving to Australia. In the meantime I am spending time in Europe and still use the phone on a prepay deal.
If I change my iTunes account from the UK to Australia while I'm traveling, will this affect the phone in any way?

Redirecting attachments from the mailbox(mail account) to the db

Hi there,
In my email account whenever i receive any emails with attachments(txt/doc/PPT file), I need to redirect the attachment to a table in a database. Is this possible ?
(The table has a column defined as BLOB to store these attachments)
If so, what would be the best way to do it? i mean a SQL script/PL/SQL proc or a unix script.

I think I discovered an alternate solution.
But first I want to clarify the symptom the I've been experiencing...
In the Standard or Classic layout, when the preview pane is open and I drag the divider bar to close the pane the divider stops at a certain point. In Standard layout, it stops about 2-3" from the right edge of the window. In Classic layout, it stops about 1" from the bottom edge of the window. I can't make the divider go any farther, so I can't close the pane entirely. In addition, double-clicking the divider bar doesn't close the pane either (like it did in earlier versions of OS X.
The solution? Drag the divider bar all the way to the edge of the window. You won't see the divider bar move until your cursor is literally on the edge of the window, then... snap, the divider bar jumps to the edge of the window and the preview pane closes.
You don't need to do anything special in Preferences or switch layouts or anything. Simply drag all the way to the edge of the window, the divider bar will snap to the edge and the preview pane will close.
For reference, to open the preview pane, just drag the divider (that's on the edge of the window) away from the edge just a little and it will jump to the minimum distances mentioned above.
I hope this helps other Mac Mail users.
