  • BAM Console not opening

    Hi
I am not able to login in my BAM console. The Logic=n page is coming but after giving username and password its not opening the next page. My bam server is up and running. Can anyone please suggest what could be the issue with my BAM console. I am using following URL for accessing BAM
    http://<server-url>:<bam_server port>/OracleBAM
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Roshni
    1. Check the log files / console output from where you started your bam server. Look for any errors / exception stack traces.
    2. Also if I am not wrong, only IE supports BAM Reports. So I hope you used IE and not firefox browser.
    3. Do you get any invalid username/password errors when you login.
    4. Try with admin username/password to login.
    5. Have you done all the basic configs for BAM Reports like setting outbound connection details, host, port, etc for OracleBAMAdapter module form Weblogic console. From EM Console, add proper users/groups to BAMAdminRole and any narrowed down users to access BAM Reports etc.
    Thanks

I did the following to view the shared report created by the "weblogic" user by another user "reportadmin" having BAM Report creator previleges like viewing ActiveStudio and ActiveViewer interfaces.
Oracle BAM defines the following application level roles:
Administrator: Has access to all features.
Report Architect: Has access to features for creating data objects and reports.
Report Creator: Has access to features for creating reports.
Report Viewer: Has access to features for viewing reports.
    1) With weblogic user, created a report and saved it in Shared reports. Logged out.
    2) On weblogic console, in Security realm - myrealm - selected User And Groups tab.
    3) On User and Groups tab, create a new group named "BamReportCreators" which corresponds to the Report Creator
    application role of BAM.
    4) On User and Groups tab, create a new user named "reportadmin" (it can be any username that you like).
    5) Add this user to the group created in step 3. To do this, click on the user created, it will show four tabs, out of this select Groups tab, select the application role and assign it to the user.
    6) Save.
    7) Open BAM startpage, log in with user. You should see the top two buttons Active Viewer and Active Studio enabled for you.
    8) Go either to Active Studio or ActiveViewer, to see the report under shared repots tab or folder.
If this satisfies your need, please mark this thread as answered and close it.

  • Cant connect at BAM console from the second server

    Hi
I have BAM 11.1.1.3.3, running with 2 managed servers (cluster). I created a user on WLS console with DefaultAuthenticator method.
I associated this user as Report architect at BAM Grid Control.
I can connect at OracleBAM apps from one server, but from the second server I get error:
    BAM-00223: service oracle.bam.adc.common.core.IDataStore
    What could it be??
    TX

Did you configure the BAM cluster in active-passive mode. Since the BAM server does not support active active configuration.
By looking at the error it looks like the BAM server is trying to start on the other node. Please follow the SOA HA documentation to configure BAM active passive.
    Thx
    Ritesh

But my second BAM Managed Server is not starting. I don't see anything in the logs and on the Console the status is showing as Starting but it never starts. I can access the BAM Console for the one installed on the primary HOST but when giving the URL for the second HOST it doesn't come up as the I don't see an option the server is running.
I have 2 machines for this cluster setup
On machine one with IP Address: *192.168.2.2* all below servers come-up fine
    Admin
    BAM1
    SOA1
On machine two with IP Address: *192.168.3.3* have the below servers and only the SOA is coming up fine BAM not starting
    BAM2 not starting
    SOA2 coming up fine also
After giving user/password this is what I see in the terminal window and it never moves looks like getting stuck:

    Hi,
I have installed Oracle SOA 11.1.1.5 in a 2 Node Cluster. Both SOA Managed Servers are coming up fine. BAM Managed Server installed on the primary HOST also comes up fine.

  • Error in Configuring Data Transfer From EMS to BAM using JMS

    Hi,
Hi i am trying to import data from database into BAM dataobjects using JMS.
I am able to get the data in JMS queue, but hav problem configuring BAM.
After modifying the 2 xml files on BAM server and after making required changes on adminsrator on BAM console (Changing paths of jar files),
I have to import some OBAM Artifacts. Refer
    - To import Oracle BAM artifacts needed for BAM server, perform the following steps,
Copy $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/bam/emsys_all.xml into the BAM machine.
Can anyone guide me to where can i get this file emsys_all.xml. I am not bale to locate it on my BAM server.

    Hi,
The file that you referred to emsys_all.xml is for integrating BAM and Enterprise Manager
More details on that can be found in
Oracle® Enterprise Manager Management Connectors Integration Guide -
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/bam/10.1.3/TechNotes/em_de.pdf
However this is not required for EMS working, take a look at this document,
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/bam/10.1.3/TechNotes/TechNote_BAM_Configurefor1013OC4J.pdf
that gives the steps for EMS.
    Thanks

  • ODI11g, Console and Enterprise Manager(EM) integration

    Hi all,
I need some information on the integration of ODI Console with Enterprise Manager.
Any links or documents will be helpful.
    Thank you

    Hello,
For BAM console you need to hit http://hostname:portname/OracleBAM for example http://localhost:9001/OracleBAM
    Only IE will support BAM.

    Hi,
We are also facing the issue stated in the first thread. We followed everything specified in the LDAP PDF under TechNotes and still not able to access the BAM console successfully.
The error we get is pasted at the end of this post. The request doesn't even seem to reach our LDAP server (configured in a remote system).
    A couple of clarifications required:
    1. Does our windows logon need to be the same as BAM console logon?
    2. I do not know the LDAP setting for my actual windows logon. But i have retained my same usrId and have configured a user in LDAP with my own organization and other hierarchies. I have configured this userId with the complete hierarchy in BAM login management and have given admin access also to this user. Is this correct?

    Hi,
    I think so.
One managed server that is the server with the BAM server and app on there (which will be migrated to the second machine)
One managed server only with the BAM app on it.
This looks like active-passive to me but I can be wrong.
Can this cause something like the error I had because I'm not sure that the migration is setup as it is supposed to (didn't test it yet)
Any idea on what could cause this is welcome and offcourse a way to solve it.
    Regards,
    Steven

  • Missing services after installing BAM 10.1.3

I have installed BAM 10.1.3 on my laptop under Windows XP. My database is OracleXE.
Eveything seemed to have worked. But for some reason I only have one Oracle BAM service (Oracle BAM Enterprise Link Data Flow Service). All the other services are not present. When I try to access the BAM console I get server errors...
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Can you try reinstalling Oracle BAM again ? (donot uninstall old install) Use the same directory names. My 1st guess -is that user pressed finished after EL installation .... and stopped the installation from completion.
During installation -it shows the log file for install -pl verify this log file also for any problems etc. And let us know.
And to double checck- your dos %PATH% variable should have c:\oraclebam\oracleclientforbam as the 1st parameter

  • Sample payload to include multiple Data objects in BAM

    Hi,
We are using BAM 12c in our project. We have a requirement to insert/update data into multiple data objects as part of an EMS [Enterprise Message Source] request. As part of the request, I have some Dimensions data and Fact data. When I submit the request to server, I need to insert dimensions data when there is no data available for the specific dimension key, otherwise update the dimension meta data. Then I need to insert Fact data in to another data object along with the reference of the dimension data.
From the Oracle documentation, https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/bam/BAMUG/bam-enterprise-message-src.htm#BAMUG10589 I found sample payload for one data object operations, under the text: Use Self-Described Payload.
Please share a sample payload to submit it to BAM so that data will be created in multiple configured BAM data objects in one EMS request.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Satya

    Deepan:
Thank you for the fast response, the xml file you have given below will clear all the DO rows specified in that file.
    +<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>+
    +<OracleBAMCommands>+
    +<Clear name="/folder/do1" />+
    +<Clear name="/folder1/do2" />+
    +</OracleBAMCommands>+
But in an organization in long run when data objects keep on increasing. should we also keep on adding the "Clear" statement into the xml file.
i.e. like to ask the developer to create an entry in this xml file each time he creates a data object in BAM console?
do we have any command like
    <Clear type = "dataobject" all="1" />
Thanks you very much in advance

  • BAM Configuration

    Hi,
I am very new to this SOA suite. I have successfully installed BAM with SOA suite 11.1.1.3 with WLS 10.3.3 in Linux and could see my bam managed server and soa managed server in WLS console and also access my BAM console ..
Can anyone pls point me to a document or link to understand how can I configure BAM with my other components like BPEL, OSB, HW, BR etc ... and what are the possible configuration I can do within BAM and other SOA suite components.
In short how can I BEST use or utiliize BAM with other SOA suite components :), please help me understanding this or send me any links or doc to configure ...

I'm not sure where you could find any tutorials or examples and hopefully someone can provide these.
In short, BAM (Business Activity Monitoring) is bundled as part of the overall SOA Suite 11g offering. After contructing your SOA Composites, which will be based on your business processes, BAM allows you to monitor these and create front-end applciations/reports which can provide you with real-time information around them e.g. see HOW your business processes are performing and whether there are any obvious hold-ups, or KPI measurement like most popular item ordered.
You will need to create Data Objects (tables within BAM) Architect, and then create the reports (in Active Studio) and to view them you use Active Viewer - all available through BAM console.
There are two ways to integrate your SOA Composites with BAM to be able to update and view this information. The BAM Adapter (drag and drop within JDeveloper) can be used to send data to your BAM data objects from your composite. Or, you can use the more loosely coupled approach which is to use Events and then 'publish' these and have BAM 'subscribe' to them. Either approach depends on what your particular requirement is and you'll know when to use either approach as you learn more about them. This is just one common scenario. BAM can also be integrated with OSB and ODI to good use.
    Hope this helps.
