  • BAM Server Connection

    Hi
I have installed BAM on Windows xp and all the services are running and i am able to open BAM start up page.
Through BPEL i need to access BAM.
For that i tried creating BAM server connection, but i couldnot succeed
for hostname i used the Machine name where my BAM services are running.
    Port is 80
and user name is domain\username(which i used during the installation of BAM)
    PWD : installation PWD
    domain :Domain.
i tried with above ,but the connection failed.
Can you pls let me know where i went wrong.
Do i have to install BAM client on all the machines from where i access BAM server ????
    Thanks and Regards
    Ashwini

Hello Ashwini. You donot need to install "anything" on clients. BAM is completely browser driven and needs only server install. For BPEL connection, you have to be sure about the BPEL server and JDev UI versions. All components (BPEL, JDev,BAM) have to be 10.1.3
Alternate -debug- try DomainName in CAPS only and also try username 'without' domain name

  • How do I set the "When an OCSP server connection fails, treat the certificate as invalid" in Firefox for Android?

Due to the security concerns from Heartbleed and Steve Gibson's excellent coverage on certification revocation, I have set "When an OCSP server connection fails, treat the certificate as invalid" on my desktop Firefox and now want to do the same on Firefox for Android. I cannot find anything in the settings menu to allow this. Is it done through about:config and if so, what is the setting name there?

hello mcvickerp, in about:config you can switch the setting "security.OCSP.require" to true.

  • "server connect failed" error - CIT 400

Would appreciate some help with this one:
My CIT 400 handset does not seem to be able to connect to the base station. I get the error "server connect failed" when I try to sign in to Skype. No blue light flashing on the base station(during sign in or otherwise) either. Have tried resetting the base, resetting the handset, but no luck ...although the blue light on the base does flash once when it is reset. Any pointers please?

Hi! do you have a PSTN line or landline plug-in to the device?  Can you receive landline calls from CIT400?  You may also try to access the setup page for the device and check the skype configuration.  Just enter the IP address of the device on your browser and use admin for the username an password.  Check on the Skype page the status of your account.  You may try different Skype account to check if it will work.

Are you using yahoo? If so, wait it out. Yahoo has had a lot of issues lately and you just have to wait for them to fix it.

  • ESB server connection failed

    Hi,
I am new to Oracle BPEL. I am facing some issues while creating a integration server in Jdeveloper. It says " ESB server : Connection failed". Also I am having issues installing Oracle BPEL in middle tier. Can someone please help me out with the installation sequence for the same and provide some clarity on the patch application

You are talking about jDeveloper 10g, right?
If yes, you need to have the configuration of the application server before the Integration Server Configuration. the App server must be up and running.

  • Trying to setup email account - getting "server connection failed"

I'm hoping someone out there can help me setup a POP account on my iphone. My host where the email account is based says it supports POP and/or IMAP, but I've tried to create a new account on the iphone with both methods and get the same message each time. The error says:
    Server Connection Failed
The certificate for [email protected] may be invalid.
I just setup the same email account in my microsoft outlook and it works fine. Any thoughts???

Same problem here. We are running Exchange 2007 at my school and all I want is to get my mail sent to my iphone. I have no need to sync my iphone to my school computer.

  • BPEL server connection failed in Integration Server connect

I am creating an 'Integration server' in the JDeveloper.
After furnishing the details (App server name, Host, Port) on testing the connection it gets failed for BPEL process manager server:
    Application Server: OK
    BPEL Process Manager Server: FAILED
    ESB Server: OK
The BPEL identity service failed to start because of the error: java.io.FileNotFoundException:http://hostname:8888/integration/services/testconnection/BPELConnection
    Any ideas?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi Françoise,
I think Application Server Test uses OPMN Port and for testing BPEL and ESB HTTP port is used.
Do you use default 8888 HTTP Port Number? When you create a Integration Server Connection it is default value, but maybe you have installed Oracle Application Server on another http port.

  • How to Create an Oracle BAM Server Connection?

I m following the steps at the end of this post to create the connection but at the end I m getting this message from JDev:
    {Unable to write to
    /C:/JDeveloper/mywork/Application1/.adf/META-INF/connections.xml
    because it is a read-only. Either make it writable or allow it to be made writable through source control.}
it creates the directory C:/JDeveloper/mywork/Application1/.adf/META-INF/ with only a adf-config.xml file but NOT the connections.xml any one knows what is wrong?
Bellow is the stpes I m following. Its exactly what is written at the Oracle Fusion Middleware Developer´s guide for Oracle SOA Suite 11g Release 1(11.1.1) E10224-01
To create an Oracle BAM connection:
    1. Select New from the File main menu in Oracle JDeveloper.
    The New Gallery dialog opens.
    2. Choose Connections from the General category.
    3. Select BAM Connection in the Items list, and click OK.
    The BAM Connection wizard opens.
    4. Provide a name for the connection. Leave the Create Connection In selection as
    Application Resources.
    5. Click Next.
    6. Enter the following connection information about the Oracle BAM instance.
    7. Click Next.
    8. Test the connection by clicking Test Connection. If the connection was successful,
    the following message appears:
    Passed.
    9. Click Finish.
Note: You can create connections to Oracle BAM in the Oracle
JDeveloper Resource Palette as well as the Application Resources
panel of a specific application. It is recommended that you create these
connections in the Application Resources pane rather than the
    Resource Palette.
    Field Description

    installed.
User Name Enter the Oracle BAM Server user name (typically bamadmin).

    BAM Server.
Use HTTPS Select this check box if you want to use secure HTTP (HTTPS) to
connect to the Oracle BAM Server during design time.
    Otherwise, HTTP is used.

Ok that will be nice, but is not the case I dont want to read the tutorial, the problem is I already start to read and execute the tutorial you told me the problem is this tutorial it doesnt show how to do everything from scratch because you already have inside the zip file everything like xmls etc etc, and I want to get my DO and create the process myself, I dont want to get something that it is already done, this tutorial does not show for example how to create this composite.xml, this file it is already inside the zip file, so this way I just follow half of the process and dont learn how to make the whole process.

  • Server "Connection Failed" message on Classic startup

I recently updated from OS 10.2.8 to 10.4.3. Everything made the conversion smoothly except that whenenver I now startup Classic, I get this message in a dialog box:
Connection Failed: The server may not exist or it is not operational at this time. Check the server name or IP address and try again.
I click the "OK" button, and then it repeats the process exactly 3 more times and Classic starts and runs fine. This is consistent and never varies.
I'm running on a LAN (with a bunch of Windows machines), which I need to affirmatively log on to (shared printers excepted). It seems like Classic is trying to automatically log on to some network, something it hadn't done under 10.2.8. I checked the system preferences for both Classic and Networking but can't find anything which seems relevant. I'll note that under Classic System Prefs. it states (under "Start/Stop") that it's using the system folder on my computer and not looking elsewhere.
How can I stop the nuisance?
    Thanks

    dbahr,
Check the Servers folder in the OS9 System Folder for any shortcuts (or anything) relating to disks on other Macs that may have been selected to mount at start-up.
If it's not this, I think it may be some older software performing a version check over the internet at start-up using an extension. Except the host it's trying to connect to is no longer valid, or OSX 10.4's firewall or internet settings are preventing the connection.
A prime candidate might be the Stuffit Expander app. On my mac it would hang for 60 seconds before carrying on, the www.alladinsys.com host no longer exists, replaced by www.allumesys.com. Perhaps you should trim the set of extensions / control panels in OS9 when running under Classic.
But it could be anything that is trying some LAN or internet access at startup, maybe even the OS9 Software Update CP/ext.
When does it spit out these messages EXACTLY ? During the extension load ? At startup completion ? Or are you starting up OS9 by starting a Classic app ? Which one ?

    Phil,
    You nailed it. Thank you!
I moved the Sherlock first and as I dragged it to the trash, as if it were Freddie Kruger refusing to die, it triggered the "Connection Failed" message riff. However, when I rebooted Classic, I saw that removing it alone did not eliminate the problem. So, I next removed all non-System generated (i.e., the one's in created for my apps) aliases. That did it.
I see now that the aliases that seemed to be causing the problem related to programs that I had recently moved from the startup HD to a second internal HD that I'd just installed. The "System generated" aliases all connected to programs that remained where they've always been, on the startup HD. What is confusing me is that there is no "network" that needed to be used for the non-System aliases to reach the moved programs and they're not on another "server," so don't see why that was the message I got. Additionally, normally, when an alias loses it's link to the originating program, I just get a message stating that it can't find that program. If I'd gotten the same message this time, it would have been much easier to track the problem.
    Thanks for your great tip.
