Bamboo pen stalls.drags sometimes in PScs4

anyone experienced the bamboo tablet (driver  5.2.1-6 latest driver) stalling or freezing dragging while trying to move the brush or cursor around?
PS does Not crash, that was a previous issue that I fixed already, just the pen tool freezing up, won`t paint sometimes,

only way I find to fix it is to restart my pc, service pack3 XPpro.

    Never mind my question on the photoshop elements 13 trying to install the camera raw update. It has been taken care of thank goodness!

  • So, I'm trying to install my Photoshop Elements 7 that I got with my Bamboo Pen and touch.... Serial number, lost codes.

    Yep, as the topic says, I need help. is there any way at all that I can get a code for my photoshop Elements 7 so I could use it again? I have the CD right here with me it came in a Bamboo Pen and Touch set a long time ago as part of a software package and I was younger then so I didn't exactly register up with adobe or anything.... Please any help would be great! I'd really like to start drawing again.

    It isn't likely that much can be done since you appear to have no proof of ownership.  In any case, you need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.
    Here is a link to a page with options to help make contact:

  • Bamboo Pen Pressure not working in Illustrator only

    I've search up and down these forums and all over the internet and still can't seem to get pressure sensitivity to work in Illustrator. It works absolutely fine in Photoshop, so why not Illustrator? I'm using a Bamboo Model: MTE-450A. Any help would be very appreciated as I'm in the middle of a project and need pressure sensitivity!
    Windows 7 64 Bit
    Illustrator 64 Bit

    I'm just new to Illustrator and using Bamboo Pen and Touch. As far as I can tell you can only get pressure sensitivity when using brushes.
    If you double click on the brush in the Brushes Panel there is a drop down menu for width where you need to select Pressure and adjust the slider values to your prefered setting.
    I have made my own brush using the ellipse tool and tapering the ends to points. This gives me a really nice stroke for drawing outlines almost as if the Pencil Tool was pressure sensitive.
    Hope this helps

    If you change your tool to the "Direct Selection Tool" (A) then you should be able to adjust the area for you to type in...

    I am still in the return window but i really do not want to return my mac as i know it has the ability to do what i want, my problem is just finding the software that will work as i know there has been a lot of complications with OS X Mountain Lion with softwares that caim to be compatible but then later turn out not to be.
    I have been a windows user for years and this is really my first mac but apart from the hole software issue i find the mac 10x better than any windows computer i have ever used. For example i bought a HP laptop 4 weeks ago and has nothing but problems. At first the fans stopped working and making weird noises and then it began switching off when ever it felt like it and freezing like mad when i was trying to access the smallest program. I have found that now a days you dont get what you pay for with Windows especially since Windows 8 was released. Also Laptops such as HP now are just crammed with cheap parts, they dont take pride in their systems like they once used to unlike Apple. I know i will get more than a year or 2 out my mac (hopefully a lot more) but with windows systems it just seems to break all the time costing more money on extending warrantys. Also i like mac because i dont need to send it away if i ever get a problem, i can just take it into the apple shop half a mile down the road and they will fix it in store. Where as with windows i am waiting 2 weeks+ to just hear back from them.

  • Brush tool and bamboo pen

    hi i got my first wacom tablet (bamboo pen) and cs4 yesterday but it seems like i cannot get the brush tool to work.
    using the mouse everything seems fine but if i use the pen the brush won't work. if i keep on drawing it starts to create very light lines after 2 or 3 secs, getting darker over time. if i use the mouse it creates lines right away.it only happens if i use the brush tool, the pen tool e.g. works normal.
    i checked my opacity and my tablet settings but still i can't figure it out. since i couldn't find someone with the same problem i am pretty sure its a "newbie" problem. any ideas?
    please excuse my english.
    sincerely
    Aya

    Check your pressure sensitivity settings in the extended brush panel options.

  • Use iPad as a 2nd monitor or graphics tablet with Photoshop/Wacom Bamboo Pen?

    Can iPad be used as a 2nd monitor or graphics tablet with Photoshop/Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet?
    I called Wacom as asked this question but the guy was clueless, and I'm sure they'd rather have you spend $1000 on their Cintiq instead of $29.95 on a Pen.... I figure I'll get more use out of an iPad and save around $400...
    Or maybe this is jsut a far fetched idea...

    Hiya
    I am not quite sure of how this product works, but it might be wortha try:

  • Problems with Wacom Bamboo pen and Lightroom 2.5

    When I use my tablet pen and hover over a photograph in lightroom 2.5 64, Windows gives me an error message that Adobe Lightroom has closed due to error.  This does not occur if I use my finger on the tablet instead.  The touch and pen work with all other applications I use.
    Any ideas as I can still return the tablet to Best Buy?
    I have Windows Home Premium 64, Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch with the upgraded driver for vista 64.  I also have Elements 8.

    Sorry, I have no solution. Just want you to know that the same configuration works for me. The driver I am using is version 5.2.0.7,

  • Need help for a problem with Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet and LR5

    When using the advanced spor removal tool in LR5 using the pen of a Bamboo tablet it only goes in straight lines and reacts very sluggish!
    When I use finger input on the same tablet (usingit then as a touchpad), the tool behaves normally and very responsive. If I go in any direction or try to paint an area it just follow and updates instanlty.
    Is it an LR5 bug or problem with the pen tablet drives?!
    I'm running a core i7 Thinkpad, 8 gigs of RAM.. Windows 8.1 Pro..

    Have you read that?

  • Wacom CTL-460 (bamboo pen) threshold issue

    Hello, I'm not sure if this should be here or in graphics (any mod feel free to advice or move ;) )
    I've been having trubble w/ my wacom tablet recently, It used to work fine but after not using it for aprox. 3-4weeks I was in for a suprise when updating the drivers after (several) kernel updates. I am currently runing kernel Linux 2.6.33-ARCH i686 and X server 1.7.6.
    I used to install the linuxwacom-bamboo-cth-ctl pakage from AUR (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=31540) and configure my tablet through xorg.conf however it no longer seems to work. After a lot of testing and fiddling last night and today I have managed to get it to respond by adding the 10-tablet.fdi file to /etc/hal/fdi/policy/ I'm using the smaller one from the wiki
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!-- -*- SGML -*- -->
    <deviceinfo version="0.2">
    <device>
    <match key="info.capabilities" contains="input">
    <match key="info.product" contains="Wacom">
    <merge key="input.x11_driver" type="string">wacom</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.Type" type="string">stylus</merge>
    </match>
    <match key="info.product" contains="WALTOP">
    <merge key="input.x11_driver" type="string">wacom</merge>
    <merge key="input.x11_options.Type" type="string">stylus</merge>
    </match>

    <merge key="input.x11_options.Type" type="string">stylus</merge>
    </match>
    </match>
    </device>
    </deviceinfo>
    However it now seems to not recognise my setings in xorg.conf (I recall there being somthing about the .fdi-file ranking higher, but don't remember where I read it.) So the tablet works but has a massiv threshold mening I have to press really hard for any type of response. I used to set the threshold to 5 in xorg.conf. But now it ignores that and sets a (default?) value of 27. Atleast thats what I'm getting from the Xorg.0.log

    So my question would be where to set this option as it seems to ignore my old setting? I'v tried various settings in xorg.conf but all are ignored.
    The "Calibrating Tablet"-skript from the wiki http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Wac … ing_Tablet mentions something like this in the comments, but I'm not sure how to use it on the arch-system as the comments are for ubuntu. (It seems to mention several rc.d directories in /etc/ (?))
    I simply don't get it, Thanks a lot to anyone that does.

    Update
    I got my hopes up a bit reading more at the wiki and trying the script w/ xsetwacom I also tried xsetwacom without the script but in both cases it seems to have no effect. I can edit the same options as in xorg.conf but they don't seem to get througt to what-ever-controls-the-tablet.
    Update again
    I seem to have done some misscalculations. I get the same behaviour even without the .fdi-file. My current guess is that xorg doesn't know what to do with the device and passes it to HAL that doesn't have my settings, OR xorg reads and uses the xorg.conf but gets run-over by HAL?
    It seems that in the end it's allways HAL that ends up last in the xorg log. Also it is HAL that adds the FINGER option I dont have that in the hardware, I think maybe Hal is trying to be nice but not quite hitting the mark. I'll have to read up.

  • My mouse will not drag sometimes

    I use OSX 10.8.5 and now the mouse is not behaving.  Sometimes it won't drag and often when I select something, it won't hold it for an action but just releases it.  I am assuming this is the mouse but could it be the computer?

    If it a corded  mouse, try strighting the cord out, they get tangled and effect
    If is a Blu-tooth or wireless mouse check the batteries

  • Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch repetitive error when installing

    Hi there, I just got a pen and touch tablet. Every time I go to install the software it begins for a second then says there was an error installing and to try again. I've restarted, made sure no other programs were open, but it keeps giving me this every time I try. I sen wacom a message, was hoping to find some help here though. I run a power pc G5, I told myself it could've been the fact that my G5 is in fact outdated and a powerpc, but I'm using my tablet right now on a G5 Mac tower that's also a powerpc, so it's not my processor. Any help or suggestions?

    Have you gone to Wacom's support web site to see if there is a more recent version of the driver software?
