Bandwidth required to stream BT Sport HD and non H...

Does anyone know what the requirements are for the BT Sport streams?

Here's a good 1 for you, on sky twitter account a customer ask why sky go streams are worst then sd and yet bt and eurosports apps stream in hd. Reply from mod, oh thats easy the files for hd are some huge that sky go can't play them and no app can stream hd due to this and so when they say they are they're really sd streams, if there was any way around this we would have done it now. Oh there you gothen lol

  • Stock transfer between Excise Plant and Non Excise Plant

Scenario : Stock is imported from say Singapore. One of the import duties can be claimed back as CVD and pass the benefit to customer.
Requirement : Stock transfer between Excise Plant and Non Excise Plant
Question : i) If I do stock transfer from Excise plant to non-excise plant, can I transfer the CVD amount which I captured in RG23A - Part1/Part 2?
ii) If I do stock transfer from Non- Excise plant to Excise plant, can I get the benefit of CVD and pass on that benefit to customer?
Pls let me know the possiblity of above two in SAP and Legally?
    thanks in advance

Ok! Thanks for the replies. Pls let me allow to elaborate the earlier requirement.
Trading Goods say A gets imported to India. Issue was :
    1) We need to issue Excise invoice only to few customers. So, we thought of treating one batch as excise batch and remaining as non excise batch per day.
    2) Stock price varies every day being batch wise produced in say Singapore.
Means Mateiral is A but price varies evey day and because of the duty payment also gets varied. For a single material master we do have different prices for each batch and also excise/non excise scenario. So, how can I get material value for each of this combinations in the system and how to identify the same.
Because of the above reasons, we thought of having two plants. I can not configure depot here because cleint requires single plant for each state as of now.
Am I clear? If not, pls let me know,

  • Total Bandwidth requirement for 720p 30fps video call to mcu 5300 and P2P call

    Hi All,
One of customer purchased 5300 MCU VCSC and VCSE from us.
All infra will be setup in their HQ and all endpoints are from internet. All endpoints will register to VCSE.
customer requirements are 5 concurrent encrypted calls to MCU with 720p 30fps and point to point 10 concurrent encrypted calls.
endpoints are cisco c series endpoints and polycom HDX endpoinds.
They haven't  subscribe the line yet. we need to propose the minimum bandwidth requirement to customer.
    1) what is the minimum bandwidth requirements to achieve 720p 30fps encrypted call to MCU?
    2) what is the total bandwidth requirements for 5 concurrent encrypted calls to MCU?
    3) what is the total load of bandwidth requirements for 5 concurrent encrypted calls to MCU and  point to point 10 concurrent encrypted calls?
    Thanks advance for you answer!

point to point 10 concurrent encrypted calls?
Even with a miltisite license installed on the codec to enable the built in bridge on the endpoint, you're only going to be able to connect up to 3 sites max, the endpoint hosting the conference that has the multisite option + 3 others. You'll have to rely on the MCU to host these conferences.

  • BPC client to BPC server Bandwidth Required

    Hi,
We are planning for a BPC deployment.
I require some appropriate figures like what will be the bandwidth required say in case there are some 100 users.
I already came across the following thread
Bandwidth usage from BPC Office Client to BPC Server
But still I am in need of some std SAP notes or links regarding the same
    Thanks.
    Regards,

If it's not a Java object, you cannot do it with serialization. If you're talking about the sending part, a FileReader/Writer probably will not work either (perhaps if the client and server are on the same network you could write to a share or something). I would think you need to use some kind of stream to send the file. I would look through the io package and see what might be appropriate.

  • Sky Sports 1 and 2 and BT in general - Absolutely ...

I would like to start by stating this will be a bit of an essay but I hope anyone who opens this thread up takes the time and consideration to read and takes it on-board, I am particurlarly aiming that at prospective BT customers who may be here to consider taking up a contract with BT, I strongly urge you to NOT DO THIS and to use my experience as the leading reason why.
We have been BT customers since we moved into our current property back in 2003, we have the current full package on offer, BT Infinity, with the Sky Sports and ESPN upgrades and the full On Demand and Broadband services. We have experienced numerous problems over the past three to four years with connectivity issues. The broadband drops in and out all the time, it's hard to put a level of consistency on this but on some days it can drop out 25-30 times, it can happen a lot at the weekend some weeks or weekdays on the others or both, the timing varies, it doesn't appear to be reflective of particurlar weather conditions, not that this should really matter anyway but we've been investigating all possible lines of enquiry as to why the problems keep happening, by my calculation we've had 18 engineers out to visit the property, I myself, and this does not include the other numerous phone calls made by fellow family members, have called and reported the problem to BT at least 50 times in this time period, I've taken days off work to wait for engineers, I've unplugged and reset my hub more times than I care to remember, we've had the hub itself replaced four times, the Vision box replaced twice, the lines re-routed through our house twice and more e-mails and letters than I reckon President Barack Obama sends in one year in office!
And so far, to date, and I am talking about in the last five days, the problem still exists! The only way to get the connection back is to turn the hub off and back on again, or use the reset button, which we all know disrupts the hub and often results in further faults down the line, I would love to not have to do this but given we're paying for 24/7 internet access I should not have to sit around waiting, in most cases, up to 3-4 hours for the signal to return to the hub by itself (I know, I've timed it, something else I've wated much of my own time doing). The lights don't flash or change colour on the hub either when this problem occurs (the hub should register lack of connection, with the lights going from blue to either flashing blue or, in most cases, red, just for the record they stay blue but we have used various devices in this house ranging from state-of-the-art, brand-new laptops to tablets to i-phones to desktops and the problem occurs the same for everyone so before I get one of the many excuses I've already had from BT that it's a potential "device problem" you can forget that one, been there, done that!).
I have urged, and urged, and urged the engineers, the people I speak to one the phone, the personal advisors our case has been passed on too, to look at potential problems outside our property i.e. the exchange. This has been rebuffed time and time again. "It's not the problem sir, the problem is here sir, the problem is not our fault sir" etc. etc. etc. Well, guess what....
We've just received a phone call informing us that, from June 10th in our area, due to issues with the exchange being able to hold the signal, Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 will no longer be avaliable on our BT package. As huge cricket fans, from a personal perspective, first off, this is infuriating. The person we spoke too also claimed Sky have "pulled the plug" on the package so, also, I'm a little confused as too which is the actual issue here resulting in the loss of Sky Sports? That you've known all along that there has been problem in my local area with the exchange and the signal it can hold, or that Sky have pulled the rights to their sports package? Or perhaps that you spent £757 million recently on a new TV rights package for Premiership football for two new BT Sports channels (those ones you see currently advertised, on, of all channels, Sky Sports 1 and 2!) and actually are just quite happy to cut customers out who have lined your pockets with substantial monthly fees for programming you knew full well didn't work when you first signed contracts with Sky to pick it up, and then distributed to customers? Are you seriously telling me after, by my calculation, three years, you didn't know Sky Sports 1 and 2 didn't work in my local area, yet carried on debiting bank accounts, advertising the channels, supplying them and then, now, with less than a month's notice, you've pulled the plug? That takes me right back to the title of my message - absolutely disgraceful.
I should make it clear at this point we have experienced problems with BT Vision too, albeit not lately, thank God, although that is not to say the problems wouldn't return. Signal dropping in and out, screen crackling and dropping out, black screens frequently on SS1, SS2 and ESPN etc. As for the On Demand service, that is obviously effected by the hub signal dropping in and out, the Vision box also does not appear to correlate with the hub when the signal returns and remains offline for a further amount of time, even when it is disconnected and then reconnected. It is constantly buffering too when the signal is low. Also, one other, far more minor point, you've been advertising 'red button coming soon' now for about three months!? I don't know what your definition of 'coming soon' is, but it's not the same as mine I can assure you, and I'm willing to bet quite a few others too!
Can you give me a good reason why I shouldn't report you too Trading Standards for misleading and false advertising? For 3 years you've been selling us a Sky Sports package you know full well won't work properly in our local area, I don't blame you for Sky's monpoly on sport, but perhaps you can explain to me why you've given two answers that completely contradict each other to the future dealings with Sky Sports in our local area? Why have you not addressed the issues with the exchange for our connectivity problems, despite the fact your now claiming it is what is probably attributed to causing our issues with the two sports channels? Also, I have worked in customer service jobs and I know people wind the heck out of you on some days, but a significant portion of your "customer advisors" are rude and ignorant. You ring the freephone number, your on hold for half-a-century, you get put through to the call-centre in Bombay and you are treated with contempt, I actually feel sorry for the people who work out there, they are clearly reading from a script and lack in clear English Language skills, which is not their fault, it's yours. As for anyone who takes dispute with that, go and ask them a question next time like "how is your day?" They won't answer, they can't, it's not on their call sheet. The few I have dealt with who have clear use of the language are, as I said, rude and ignorant, often accusing me, quite clearly, of lying and of having not reported the problem, for me then to find out a later date when I speak to the technical deparment and to BT Openreach (and yes, I know they are two seperate companies) that date is not transferred correctly between the two which is why whoever you speak too in the call-centre usually only has a last referral point for you from some years ago, it's also quite clearly a deflection manouvre to keep you away from actually getting your problem resolved, paying Openreach to dispatch engineers if required and so you don't clog up the minimal amount of contactable phone numbers for the average customer that are based in the UK.
Failure to receive a suitable and acceptable answer to my queries will result in me having no other option but to consider taking the matter further, I am also inclined now to make it my work between now and the date of June 10th to persuade everyone I know and they know to stay as far away from your company as possible and the "services" you claim to provide.
Also, as huge cricket, and for that matter, NFL fans, maybe you should consider that many sports-viewers in this country aren't just about football. Yes I know that's where the money lies but there is profit to be made from other sports ventures too, I don't think you realize just how many fans you are leaving out in the cold over this move, the whole reason we, and we are just one example, subscribed to the Sky Sports package was for the cricket, and for the NFL. Two sports that are entirely monopolized by Sky, yes I realize, as I state earlier, that's not your fault, but why don't you show a bit of interest in them then? Why don't you be slightly different, you have over £700 million to spend on Premiership football but little else? If you want to attract more customers and build larger profit margins, you have to be more diverse and explore new options and directions to do this.
I'm sure some will say, "why not get Sky?" Well unfortunately we can't due to our location but at least Sky were up-front and honest enough to tell us this when they first came to do a consultation, one, that by the way, we had as a secondary option to BT due to the attractions of the On Demand package, that then wasn't offered by Sky. How sad it's come too this and what an awful way to treat loyal customers who have upgraded to the packages you have offered in all innocence to obtain a better and more fruitful service? Customers who have never been late with payments either and used the likes of the Box office service for both movies and music (when the latter was chargable) as well, the money you have had off us, and that is what we've received in return and yet, perhaps, the poorest reflection on us, is we have stuck it for so long, but we are at the end of our tethers now and utterly furious at the decisions we've learned today that I am going to ensure we get to the bottom of this.
Thank you for taking the time to read, what I appreciate, is a lengthy message. I didn't want to have to write this but it was the only way of making our problems and feelings clear, and I wanted to include everything so as not too mislead anyone myself.

Sadly as this is customer to customer forum you are only talking to fellow customers.
Perhaps it would be better to contact the Mods who are the only BT employees here,

  • Bandwidth required during registration of ip sip phone

what is the bandwidth requirement of cisco 9971 model phone during registration?

Thanks a lot Vivek... I went through it...but I think it talks about the bandwidth provisioning for voice traffic..for signalling and once the call is established....I neeed to know the bandwidth required just for registration ...i.e. in the following steps ( only registration without placing any call)
    1. The phone contacts the TFTP server and requests the Certificate Trust List file .
    2. The phone contacts the TFTP server and requests its SEP<mac-address>.cnf.xml configuration file.
    3. The Phone downloads the default configuration XMLDefault.cnf.xml file from the TFTP server.
    4. The SIP phone requests a firmware upgrade (Load ID file) and upgrades the firmware image automatically when required for a new version of CUCM.
    5. The phone downloads the SIP dial rules configured for that phone.
    6. The phone Establish connection with the primary CUCM and the TFTP server end to end.
    7. The phone Registers with the primary CUCM server listed in its configuration file.
    8. The phone downloads the appropriate localization files from TFTP.
    9. The phone downloads the softkey configurations from TFTP.
    10. The phone downloads custom ringtones (if any) from TFTP.
Also, I need t o know if the bandwidth required for this process is same for all phone models or different? Specifically, I need  this data for Cisco 9971 model. Please help...Thanks..

  • Streaming multi bit rate and single bit rate

I'm trying to simplify my setup.  Sometimes I need to stream multi bit rate and sometimes I need to stream single bit rate.  This is due to the internet connections I'm sending from sometimes have poor upstream and multi-bit rate is too much bandwidth to send... So....  We resort to single bitrate.  As I understand my encoder and server settings are different for each of these...  I created a single and multi-bitrate profile for Adobe Media Encoder.  That was simple enough.  My question/concern is in regards the server settings.  I would like to have a server setting for multi-bitrate and a setting for single bit rate.  My goal is to void making changes  on the server.  I simply want to load the desired Adobe Media Encoder Profile.  So, do I need to create a dedicated event for single bitrate?  Below is the syntax I send to my server from Adobe Live Encoder.  Instead of using 'liveevent' for my event would I just give it a different name?  Does this stand true for my .m3u8 files?  I'm confused to how to name differnet event/streams....
    livestream%i?adbe-live-event=liveevent&adbe-record-mode=record

    Hi,
When you use a setting like: livestream%i?adbe-live-event=liveevent then the encoder expects multibitrate streams (the %i is replaced by a number so the streams published will be livestream1, livestream2 and livestream3). You cannot use the same setting in the encoder for single stream. Instead you'll have to use livestream?adbe-live-event=<event_name>. You could create a new event under the same application.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other queries.
    Thanks,
    Apurva

  • Bandwidth requirement between controllers in mobility group

We have a potential project spanning two sites a few miles apart. We are hoping of putting 1 controller at each site in a single mobility group to provide AP failover if one controller is to fail. We are planning on a total of 25-30 APs, roughly half at each site.
    Questions:
Whats the minimum bandwidth required between sites?
If bandwidth isn't adequate can this be done with both controllers at one site and H-Reap access points for the other site? Am I correct in thinking that you can have no more than 8 H-Reap access points per WLAN (16 Reap APs per WLAN)?
    Thanks!

Thanks! I think it will be fine. I was more worried about the event of a failed controller which would cause more traffic between the other APs and the backup controller at the other site. However with all the APs in H-Reap local switching mode it should work.

  • Pixelation at bandwidth change while streaming VOD in HLS

    Hi,
I have FMS 4.5 installed and I'm doing some tests streaming media via HLS with a STB.
This is my main playlist link: http://lab001.dyndns.org/m3u8/ca-8ms.m3u8
The problem is, when the bandwidth changes during streaming, there's a pixelation.
No matter what I configured in HLSMediaFileDuration (in httpd.conf), and no matter which value I set for KeyFrame Iterval, I always got pixelation at bandwidth change while streaming.
In this article, it is said: "The duration of TS files, in milliseconds. Use a value that is a multiple of the keyframe intervals for the media.". I did try that, but no luck.
For example, when I set HLSMediaFileDuration to 8000 (default), I encodec my media with KeyFrame interval = 4. I also tried different combination but it didn't solve the problem.
    I'm using:
    Server: FMS 4.5.
Media Encoder: Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 Pro (multiple bit-rates with the same KeyFrame Interval).
Client: AirTies STB and iPad 2.
What am I doing wrong or missing?
    I'd appreciate any help.
    Thanks,
    Wiaam.

I am having this EXACT issue - only I am using an iPhone 6 Plus 64gb. I live in the Chicago metro area, and when I stream using Spotify, iTunes Radio or Pandora, I am having the exact same issue. I can watch the phone go from LTE to 3G to 1x, then to get it back to LTE, I need to put it into Airplane mode and take it out of Airplane mode.

  • Bandwidth requirement for a Mobile solution

    Hi
Is there any data that I can use to determine the bandwidth requirement needs for a mobile solution? (In a connected mode). Lets assume that we have only 1 user using only one app/screen - mobile sales order. For each sales order, what will be the bandwidth used? Assumption is that the screen is also loaded and data is also transmitted.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello Robert,
please have a look at the SDN Mobile Infrastructure "homepage" and select the implementation case studies from the e-learning iview. Maybe there you can get an impression about possible implementation efforts.

  • Listening to Streamed Radio/Sports on the iPhone

One of the reason I stop using the Treo and got the iPhone, was to listen to streaming audio, particularly MLB and college sports.
Not sure if this is possible now or in the future.
Anyone have any info and updates?

    Maestro,
I have been listening to sports radio streams since they started 5-8 years ago.
I was hoping that the iPhone with all its internet-music-iPod-iTunes-Safari features could allow me to listen to my favorite college and pro teams live via an internet stream (that I have and would be happy to pay for)
I am currently pay for a few, particularly Major League Baseball and many colleges and was very disappointed to see that the iPhone does NOT provide this simple feature on a device that can and should provide this simple feature.
I have no interest in watching the video of a game on the iPhone only the audio.

  • How to reduce bandwidth required for spa9000 to spa941 link

Anyone can help me with this situation?
I have an spa400-spa9000-spa941 configuration over a satellite internet link. It works fine, during low traffic hours (night) but during the day the voice quality goes really bad (cutted voice, constant interruptions, etc).
We have already measured the bandwidth consumed by the spa941 to spa9000 link, and have found it at 80kbps upstream by 80 kbps downstream. We require to reduce it at least half of the actual values (40 kbps up by 40 kbps down).
We have already tried changing the codecs through the spa941 configuration menu: ( EXT1 –> Audio Configuration -> Preferred Codec -> G726-16 ), without success.
It seems that although we do that changes, the link between spa941 and spa9000 keeps working with the G711u codec.
We require that both calls coming in and out the spa9000 are compressed with a less bandwith consuming codec.
Which options do we need to change in the spa9000 and spa941 in order to make the G726-16 (or a less bandwidth consuming codec) the default codec between both equipments?
We are using firmware version 5.1.9 for spa9000 and version 5.1.8 for spa941.

I have the following options selected in SPA9000 SIP configuration:
    SDP Payload Types
    -->RTP-Start-Loopback Codec: G726-16
    Internal Music Source Parameters
    -->Internal Music LBR Codec: G726-16
-->Internal Music Preferred Codec: Low Bit Rate
    Auto Attendant Parameters
    -->AA LBR Codec: G726-16
-->AA Preferred Codec: Low Bit Rate
... and the following options selected in SPA941 EXT1 configuration:
    Audio Configuration
    -->Preferred Codec: G726-16
    -->Use Pref Codec Only: Yes
With this configuration when we try to dial from SPA941 to remote SPA9000 we get BUSY tone.
Any other thing we should check?

  • Bandwidth required for Peoplesoft

    Hi,
We are doing sizing in terms of the bandwidth required for peoplesoft v9.0. The server is going to be based in a central location. It is my understanding that Self service and GP would be the most bandwidth consuming modules. GPl would be run from a central location and all employees who will be spread over different geographical locations would have access to Self Service. Do you have any idea of what the minimum bandwidth required would be in this case? I understand that Peoplesoft is PIA but there will be some minimum bandwidth requirement for good performance. I would appreciate any input in this regard, even rough estimates or past experiences will be really helpful. Thanks

I don't have any solid tcp/ip numbers for you. Most of the network traffic is between the web, app, and database servers. If your users can browse the web (MSN, Google, etc) from their location without complaints, they will be able to use PeopleSoft. If you turn on gzip compression in your web profile, that will help a lot. Most of the PeopleSoft JavaScript, CSS, and images are stored as external files so they benefit from client side browser cache. Once a user loads a page, all that will travel back and forth is the HTML that comprises the page itself. Yes, the HTML is a bit bloated as it is based on the HTML design model from several years ago (lots of tables for formatting). A FieldChange, button click, or save will reload the entire page.
Are your users going to be using 56k modems or something better? Really, latency is probably more important than bandwidth in this case.
PeopleSoft doesn't maintain a persistent connection between the web server and browser, so I'm not sure that distance is really an issue.
Just to give you some rough numbers, with JavaScripts, etc in my browser cache, the contents of the Timesheet page is 39k without gzip compression and 6k with gzip compression. So, with gzip compression turned on, you should get much better use of your bandwidth.

  • Bandwidth requirement for voice calls

    Hi All,
Need expertise advise on the following concern about voice call.
    1. Bandwidth requirement for video call across all other endpoint(using Polycom / Lifesize end point at their end)
        a)Standard Video
        b)1K HD Video
        c)4K HD Video
    2. Plus can we determine bandwidth required for all the following below:
    a. 1 to 1 VC  end point ( Cisco TP – Cisco TP)
    b. Bridge call  ( Cisco TP to Polycom / Lifesize)
    c. 1 to 1 VC end point ( Cisco TP – Polycom / Lifesize)

Thanks for the info Wayne. I missed out information about the endpoint.
Client using CTS 3010.  Acoording to datasheet it says
11.9 Mbps (1080p, 30 fps best motion handling), 10.1 Mbps (1080p, 30 fps better motion handling), 8.8 Mbps (1080p, 30 fps good motion handling)
    6.4 Mbps (720p, 30 fps best motion handling), 4.5 Mbps (720p, 30 fps better motion handling), 3.1 Mbps (720p, 30 fps good motion handling)2
My question is does the bandwidth required for both ways or only one way?
    And I'm aware CTS 3010 doesn't support 4K video.
