Bandwidth seems limited to 10M on Cisco RV320

Just installed a RV320 to a 50Mb downstream 5Mb upstream switch. With previous wireless routers I can get 30-50MB downstream speed and 5M upstream. The same happens when I connect directly to the switch. However when I try to access with the same computer through the RV320 I am throttled it seems to very close to 10Mb bandwidth. Connection from router to switch is 1000Mb, connection to the computer is 100Mb so this shouldn't be the problem. Bandwidth management is set to 6000 upstream and 60000 downstream. Any suggestions? Thanks. (firmware upgraded to latest)

It must be a configuration issue, or a faulty unit, as I'm getting 56Mbps down and 9Mbps with the RV320 here on my desk (should be put into production use later today) on a FTTC/VDSL line that we've had rated at 60Mbps down and 10Mbps up. I'm also running the latest firmware.

Apologies if this has been asked already, but I flipped through the forum & found nothing, and the search appears to be offline.
I have many items plugged into my AEBS, but have noticed the bandwidth (even wired).... lacking.
A concrete scenario:
Slingbox wired=> AEBS wireless(pure n)=> *Macbook Air*
I cannot get more than about 182kbps in the stream. I've even tried a wired connection at the other end so it was entirely wired.
Troubleshooting I've done:
1. Called Sling and they tried streaming remotely; same result
2. Plugged a PC in and did it all wired... same result
3. Reset the Slingbox to factory... same result
4. Reset the AEBS firmware to factory... same result
So far, most of what I've done points to the AEBS having issues with pushing out data at reasonably fast speeds.
Any recommendations would be very much appreciated!!

i get 300 as speed if the devices are in good range of the airport extreme. My imac only reports 270.
I have 1 AE and 3 Airport Express.
The Airport Extreme and 2 of the A.Express run at 5 GHz, and the one A.Express at 2.4.
That said I have tested and tested, and the only differentiation I saw was when the Airport Express, for example were at the edge of the extreme, and then the speed falls off. So my Macs all report 300 or 270 with any given device.

We got a new Apple TV for Christmas and it works wonderful. However, my question is this. We are on a satelitte internet system and our bandwidth is limited. Can anyone tell me what effect it will have on using up my 10 megs of bandwidth?

If I run over the 10 mgs, the service either slows way down until it is reset on the first of the next month or I have to purchase additional bandwidth and it can get expensive.

If you only have a 10MB limit on the Internet connection you might as well not have Internet access and certainly should not attempt to stream anything.
If the limit is 10GB, then you will need to be careful with streaming as most video is 1-3GB for a one hour show.

Try it and see if it helps. There should be an option to put in the IP of the syslog server. That would be the computer where you set up wallwatcher.

Para cambiar el tiempo del lease vaya a DHCP, DHCP setup y luego cambie el DHCP lease time a 60.

Bandwidth managment/limiting on ME3400

This is crazy long, but please bear with me.
My goal is basically to provide tiers of service ie. 3Mb down 512k up or 1Mb down 256k up.
I'm able to set the upload rate just fine by applying the following.

So I changed from matching an ACL to just having the class-map match anything

So I changed my tactics and tried to use shaping instead of policing.

So I switched back to policing for one final go at it. And I seem to have made it to a working configuration, but I wanted to get some extra input about whether or not this is even the best way to accomplish this. I switched to tagging traffic when it comes in on my uplink interface and setting it to a qos-group x and then matching that qos-group in my policy for later policing as an output policy.

The egress side has got some problems with it. The way I worked it out was, I did Ingress/Ingress policing only with a child parent relationship of policies.
This allows me to get as granular as I want, without having to worry about out of hardware spec or port speeds. I can have a 1gig handoff, and rate shape down as low as I want. Just also as a side note, Cisco scolded me for limiting below 5mbs and said the box wasnt really designed to go that low.
Anyways, here is a sample config. Just change the values as you want:

FMS stop responding to user if the bandwidth is limited?

We are developing a video chat room application using FMS 2.0 and AS2, everything seems fine untill recently we found:
When publishing live webcam, for some users, occationally the connection with FMS stucked, no message (data, video, audio) were sending to server anymore, the ping_rtt from getStat() is keep growing finally more than 10000.
[1] This happened no matter if there are users subscribing to their stream or not.
[2] If we decrease their webcam publishing setting to very very low, things are better but still can happen.
So I just wonder if the bandwidth between this user to the FMS is limited, the FMS simply not responding to the client anymore. From my understanding
of FMS, if the bandwidth is not enough for the user to sending message to server, it will drop video/audio messages, but never drop data(command) messages. But seems FMS dropped everything here, even can't ping the client properly.
How can I solve this problem? I would like the FMS keep dropping client's video/audio messages no matter what, but keep a valid and effective command connection with the client, namely the ping_rtt sitll can be within reseanable range.
I have been testing for long time and google a lot, but still no luck. Hope somebody here can give me a hint!

Cisco RV320 SSL Timeout

I try to connect my laptop to RV320 by VPN SSL connection.
Every 8-15 minuets i get session expired, even when I am working. I tried to increase "Login Time" field to 9999 but without success
The problem also occurs on other computers.

Thus you are modifying correct value. According related Cisco KB article the "Session Idle Time" value means "enter the time, in minutes, before the existing session terminates after the connection becomes idle".

Isn't your public IP address changed during your work? Changed client IP address (from VPN Router point of view) is considered as good reason for breaking VPN connection.
Have you tried to use different browser and try to reproduce with same results?

Bandwidth rate-limiting on 3550-12T, G and 48 switches

I'd like to nail-down the raw bandwidth on my switchports to divide a 9Mbit/s uplink between two client groups of 6 & 3Mbits/s respectively ("ring-fencing"). IOS is currently 12.1(14)EA1a and doesn't offer "rate-limit" on the interface in cfg mode. So: (a) can it be easily done on this platform with an IOS u/g? or (b) do I need new hardware?. I note that the 3750's don't support this command in hardware (yet?).

You should be able to restrict the bandwidth by per port and or per port/ per vlan on the Catalyst 3550. You are correct there is no rate-limit command on the Catalyst. This is a legacy command used restrict traffic rates. Routers and switches have now implemented this policing feature using the police command. There is a possibility you can gain further feature enhancments with IOS upgrades, but you should also be able to achieve your end result with your current IOS release.

l_cnt = xstrlen( g_zip_content ) .
xstrlen will return only in byte mode and not in character mode.
Thus the value l_cnt = 12112 which you got is in bytes which can be used to check your condition.

The Search Function Seems Limited

My old PDA was a Palm Pilot with a great search function. There was no time limit and it search all aspects of Contact Info even notes and job description plus the contents of all documents, and all aspects of the Outlook calendar. My 32G iPod Touch running OS 4.1 will go back 1 yr. when searching the calendar. It doesn't include Job Description or Notes when searching Contacts and it doesn't seem to search Word Documents at all.
Have others found the same thing? Has anyone found an APP that is capable of performing a more thorough search.

5 users limitation using PPPoE on cisco??

I am trying to use a cisco as a pppoe server. The problem is that its not able to connect mor e than 5 users at a time. I thought the cisco(3620) had some problems and used another (2610) with the same result. What could be the problem?
